jillian, let me tell you this is what it comes to this morning, daily mail reporting the nypd is now ordering its cops not to wear their uniforms or their badges anymore when they are off duty over fears they'll be targeted next and on top of that, they are also asking family, friends, loved ones, maybe you at home to not wear anything nypd related as well, now we've reached out to the nypd to comment on this so far we haven't heard back, this is all happening after a very violent weekend against police, robert williams who you see right there on the screen, he's now charged with attempted murder after attacking several officers over the weekend, new video here this morning shows williams shooting up a bronx precinct on sunday where he shot a lieutenant in the arm and nearly shot personnel that you see there on the screen responding and just a few hours earlier he shot at two police officers sitting inside a patrol van in the bronx hitting one of those officers in the neck.

thankfully that officer was discharged from the hospital as new york city leaders condemn these attacks. >> this was an attempt to as assassinate police officers, we need to use that word because it was a premeditated effort to kill and not just to kill other human beings but to kill those who wear a uniform that represents all of us. >> here is a thing, though, some people like president trump saying its leaders like mayor de blasio that left the nypd down, he tweeted this, i grew up in new york city and over many years got to watch how great nyc's finest are, now because of weak leadership at govern o and mayor stand away regulation and lack of support, our wonderful nyc police are under assault, stop this now. also the sergeant's association echoing that following up with this saying, president trump is 100% correct, new york state and new york city needs the support of the department of justice,

and she wasn't ripping up, the democrats saying he wasn't ripping up story of the people but partisan state of the union address that said a lot of things about democrats that they say are wrong. how do you respond? >> i guess i would ask them what was wrong, america's great economic success story, the stories about us standing strong on the world eliminating -- rob: some of the reactions, when you saw her behind the president, she seemed -- the way democrats handled criminal justice, things like that. >> well, and the fact of the matter is that nancy pelosi doesn't like the truth getting out because there are many great things, democrats have taken radical positions including open borders, want to go give free health care toy legal immigrants, those are things that she doesn't like because they are inconvenient but doesn't mean that they are not the truth. jillian: let's take a look at reaction here, this includes nancy pelosi's deputy chief of staff and other democrats and as you'll see here, it says a lot of -- a lot of them claim that

this is misleading, mislead to american people, mislead and manipulate, misleading video and representative says this video is doctored. let's get reaction from some of the social media forms and facebook spokesperson says, sorry, are you suggesting that the president didn't make those remarks and the speaker didn't rip the speech and twitter's response we will be labeling enforcement action in march 2020, i can't get into hypotheticals, democrats and social media forms? >> i think in this case social media forms are standing up for free speech, what the democrats are doing is that they only talk about free speech if it's speech they approve of and in this case the president made a very powerful state of the union and when nancy pelosi ripped that up she was ripping up the entire speech, not only success stories but the stories that it included and if they don't like it, they should have thought about it

and nypd detective dr. oscar odom. we appreciate that. >> thank you. jillian: angel, i will start with you, when you heard the news that one person do being blamed for both of these, what did you think of cincinnati. >> well, i mean, it's a manifestation of all the antipolice rhetoric, the mayor is responsible for a lot of it in my opinion, it's manifesting itself, officers are attacked under the country, we lost 15 officers, it's not surprising, unfortunately. jillian: why do you think he's responsible for some of it? >> he made it clear in failed presidential bid, he used his son to demonize police and speak about how he's afraid he's being taught, he was taught to be being afraid of police as opposed to respecting police, he's made it appear to be just a racist policy.

jillian: let's go ahead and take a look at the alleged shooter's background, a little bit of it anyway, as you'll see charged with attempted murder, driving while intoxicating and resisting arrest, 2002 arrested for attempted murder, that's a little of it bill, what does that say to you? >> that say that is we are in a lot of trouble meaning that there's a cultural shift in new york and politically and with the people, if you look at us, we represented the community, we took the oath to protect and serve, police officers should be respected and now you have politicians that point to people, point to the cops and say, don't respect the cop, you see a turnstile, you shouldn't have to pay for it, jump over it and when the cops looks to make an arrest on the law that is the politicians made, the politicians turn around and point at cop and saying you are bad and things like this happen. jillian: you take a look at the

video that's been all over the place where you see alleged suspect going into precincts and shooting officers in their home, if you will. >> you know something is wrong with the leadership, they have to change and show more respect for cops because we are putting our lives on the line for people, we don't know if we will come home to our families. this is attack itself when you're able to go to a police precinct and shoot police officers on marked vehicles; unacceptable. jillian: disturbing on a lot of levels, angel, let's go back to bill reform law, this is when it went into effect, eliminates pretrial detention for 90% of

arrests, cash bill no longer permitted for misdemeanors and no bail allowed for charges related to unintentional homicides and you were talking just a couple of minutes ago about the rules that aren't in effect right now and how this in your opinion has a lot to do with what's going on. >> absolutely, there's no consequences, right? you're letting what they say low-level offenders back on the street but they are not taking into account criminal history, this guy, for example, right, he shot it out with cops in 2002, he's out already, he gets locked out and out again, it's a never ending vicious cycle and the police are put in danger and the community put in more danger because of it. jillian: let's listen to what bill de blasio had to say about reform on february 4th. >> raised concerns, we are in dialogue with leaders in albany about those concerns and we want to move forward. in the meantime, this police force can handle anything thrown at them. jillian: this was just a couple

of days before this happened. so what needs to be done now to change this? >> well, the mayor says the nypd can handle anything that that can be thrown at them, that shouldn't have to happen, cops need to be respected. i think there needs to be as i said a shift in the attitude towards our politicians. as a cop will always put life on the line, be care behalf you wish for, what people don't realize that cops run into the fray and the day they decide just to collect a paycheck, then what happens. jillian: finally, if i can go to you dr. odom for this, reports going around anyway that there have been memo from the department of corrections and in the memo it talks about not wearing your uniform or other items that might, you know, show your department, show where you work, show who you are, we have not confirmed the memo so we will not show everyone but there are reports going around; when you hear something like that, though, to not show who you are,

for the status quo, that's a vision of the country that doesn't have room for most of us. rob: he's right about that, polarized matchup between the 2, so who will ultimately take new hampshire in the second contest here, it's a big one, joining us live to debate giana caldwell. this is a big matchup and very different candidates, who do you think takes new hampshire? >> if you look at the polls, 15 points in some new hampshire polls but if you look at 538 poll they gave bernie sanders a modest edge to win and i think that there's a really strong chance that he does, consider the fact that he is the senator from vermont, he won in 2016 the primary by 22 points beating besting hillary clinton, so with that consideration no mind i think there's a strong chance not only that it seems that his

popularity has grown some and when you consider a democratic party seemingly heavily against him and trying to rig an election against him, i think people are seeing beyond that and you're looking at their guy. he -- rob: he's right next door. >> he has home field advantage and in 2016 that he did win against hillary but as you know this is a marathon and there's a lot of time and a lot of states left, new hampshire is one of the ten most smallest states, so we have to see what happens in south carolina and ultimately who is the democratic candidate. rob: you know, gianno, mayor pete has the sound bite where he talks about giving people a choice between either bernie sanders basically choice staying with trump or full-blown revolution that flips everything in the country on its head, that's not much of a choice for a lot of voters, he's right,
