we don't know who they voted for, or how many voted, but bernie sanders as you mention is leading the pack in recent state polls, he had a rally yesterday to encourage supporters to get out and vote early and walked with them to a polling location, nevada is an important state, the first in the west caucus in the first indication of how candidates will do amongst minority voters, nevada has the largest hispanic population and they need and want their supporters. >> in order to win in november, we will have to have strong support from the african-american community, the latino, and the native american community. we cannot take these communities for granted anymore. >> i don't have billions of dollars of my own money to pour into the airways, but what we do have is a vision as we demonstrated in new hampshire and iowa can bring people together in a commitment as we

what are the challenges for biden in nevada and what's the plan to overcome those challenges? >> nevada is very different from iowa and new hampshire in a number of ways, we have a caucus but as a hybrid so we have four days of early voting, people in nevada like to vote early, that is 65% of any general election will turn out before the day of the election. so we have early voting helping biden. >> i'm asking about more specific numbers. what is making him, how are you selling him there, how is he resonating with the voters and where his challenges? >> i think he is silly because after all barack obama picked him as a vice president, he is ready to go to work on day one he didn't need any on-the-job training, he has a record of progressive legislation from the time he was in the senate whether the nra or obamacare or

global warming or climate change, he did those bills in the 80s before people were looking at him. he has a platform of what he will do but he's also has a record of what he has done, he's always put together a coalition and he will gain back our respect internationally, this country has been falling backwards in terms of leadership position and he says he leads by example, he has the compassion to do it into the experience and intellect. -- i understand, this wednesday february 19, your district las vegas will host the next democratic presidential debate and as a biden campaign surrogate, you listed a lot of things, what point do you think biden has to make on that to be state. >> he needs to talk about his

record, he needs to talk about guns and nevada because in my district we have the worst mass shooting in modern american history. he needs to talk about issues that affect the west, we have not heard about renewable energy and clean land use or water, most of these have been mississippi issues, and the west is hungry for that, it's a big issue in nevada, all this points he will make very strongly. he is not one scripted candidate this is the same thing every time, he speaks from the heart and people appreciate that sincerity. >> as a democrat are you concerned about your parties message as a whole, people want to debate, will the democratic party come across as a cohesive group or splinter party? >> we will have to come back together after the primary for all the candidates have pledged they will do that once the nominee is named, i believe the feeling is so strong that we have to get rid of this president, people will do that.

that is the motivating factor, who can best beat the president. >> what about joe biden that makes him the candidate who can beat president trump? >> he is persistent, he has been at it for a long time, president trump was willing to risk impeachment two get a foreign power to do fake investigation and he keeps coming back and they keep cal counting him out,d he keeps coming back, he has more intellect and experience and he can take trump's on the debates state. >> we will see, congressman thank you for your time. >> thank you. >> we will talk to you soon. >> las vegas trip after washington, the white house defending the president's tweet over the recommendation of the long-time advisor, roger stone. that after attorney general william barr criticized the president tweeting kellyanne conway defended the president saying he did not put any pressure on the ag.

about 200,000 people inside the daytona raceway will have their cameras up on camera mode because air force one at the top of the hour is going to make a very low altitude flyover lap of the racetrack, when i say low 800 feet off the ground and the president lands nearby and will make his way into the racetrack as a grand marshall of the shears daytona 500. the gates opened up at 9:00 a.m. in the crowd of race fans has been growing ever since and of course plenty of tailgating going on all morning, one tall bite at a time. the motorcoach and around the boulevard revving up reelection support which is going to be heavy among the nascar crowd, they also have a table set up for the florida primary as well as november. people have been walking around for up to five hours before the

from the professor of the national school of medicine at baylor college of medicine in houston. if i could start where kirstie no left off reporting about the 400 americans who have been corn teamed on the diamond princess cruise ship, some complaining about the way the evacuation has been handled, what could've been done differently and putting them on the same plane make things worse? >> thank you for having me, first of all those individual should never been kept on the ship, that ship became treacherous, we were seeing a number of people becoming infected on the ship due to the quarantine. it became a place where people were actively being exposed to the virus, it was not a safe place. i think what should've happened is those individuals should've been taken off the ship much sooner, the japanese should've

provided quarantine facilities on mainland just like what we do in the united states like the air force base, the japanese should've done that as well. so i think our nation did the right thing by getting those people out of there as quickly as they could and bringing them back to the united states. >> meanwhile speaking of the united states, cdc officials concerned that the coronavirus will spread in america? >> i lost you on the audio. >> can you still hear me, i'm asking if cdc officials are concerned that the coronavirus will spread in america? >> yeah very much, we heard from bob who is doing a terrific job, they assembled a terrific team with the secretary and assistant secretary in nancy at cdc and

doctor of course, that's really a terrific team and they came out and said last week that indeed we expect community transmission to begin in the virus to get a foothold. that will create some problems particular given the time of year, remember the flu season is still ongoing, were still seeing a big uptick in influenza and also we have measles come back to the united states last year and typically would occur around late winter or early spring, we have a very difficult situation where our public health leaders are going to be fighting three simultaneous epidemics. we have to take steps to mitigate that in the best way to make sure that americans get themselves vaccinated against the flu and up-to-date on measles. >> with the rise of the flu and the measles coming up, it's coinciding with the coronavirus

crisis, our doctors and walking clinics equipped to test for the coronavirus to diagnose and treat properly? >> we are rapidly getting up to speed, the tragedy is because the very aggressive anti-vaccine that we have in the united states, many families are opting out of getting the flu vaccines, we've seen 92 children die from influence of this year and the vast majority were not vaccinated despite recommendations and now the anti-boxes pushing making up stories and presenting misinformation about the measles vaccine that's why we had a measles epidemic. that's why the president did a terrific job putting a great team together to fight the coronavirus, the problem is if we asked them to fight three epidemics simultaneously it will be very challenging and i think we have to take the next step and push hard on americans to get their flu vaccine and make

sure their up-to-date on their vaccines otherwise it'll be impossible for the team to fight all three together as we move later into the winter and spring. >> in the meantime, if i were someone watching to go into a walk-in urgent care center or to my doctor's office, are they equipped to diagnose coronavirus and make the difference between coronavirus in the flu so they can treat it properly. >> they certainly have the capability to do rapid flu diagnosis, they know how to do measles diagnosis, the hard part will be getting all the diagnostic kits for coronavirus and whether you send that separately to the laboratory, i think this is what we are seeing now being put together is how to create the clinical algorithms so we can accurately triage

individuals who we think have a coronavirus. right now things are not too bad, we only have 15 cases in the united states. but if the cdc director is correct and the numbers start to turn up then we will have to put those things into play. >> so you are on top of it, you just don't have the answer coronavirus injection as of yet but you are working on it. >> that has to do with the vaccine, they have a great flu vaccine in measles vaccine, and the college of medicine at the children's hospital we developed a coronavirus vaccine but also hoping to get into clinical trials, there's several other vaccines out there but they still have to go through a lot of safety testing. so that will be a few months away and it'll be the hard part to try to battle this before we have a vaccine in hand.
