arthel: democracy 2020, today in nevada democrats making a final push before the state caucuses get underway one hour from right now at a critical moment for the democratic party. hello, everyone, welcome to america's news headquarters, i'm arthel neville. eric: hello, arthel, hello, everyone, thank you for joining us this afternoon, i'm eric sean, democrats as you know are looking for nevada to front runner the race as top-tier candidates campaign across the state, they are seek august decisive win ahead of south carolina primary, that is one week from today, then, of course, the big enchilada which is big super tuesday a week, a couple of days from now. >> go out and bring our friends
11:01 am
and neighbors, let's have the largest voter turnout in the history of the nevada caucus. [cheers and applause] >> character of the nation is on the ballot right now, the character of america is on the ballot, it's not just about the democratic party anymore. >> so you want to understand every time somebody tells you a woman can't beat donald trump, well, i don't know about a woman but i will tell you elizabeth warren can beat donald trump. [cheers and applause] eric: very latest fox news team coverage jacqui heinrich covers the biden campaign and mark meredith tracking efforts to keep nevada caucus from depeting disaster in iowa, first let's begin with griff jenkins live in caucus site in henderson, nevada. >> nevada made history with first ever early voting, nearly 75,000 voters and let me give you a look inside liberty high school in just about an hour you will see many of the voters begin their caucusing, this is
11:02 am
the official registration, these are voters, checking in, the doors opened an hour ago and now from an hour from now they will begin their caucusing gathering their traditional areas an they'll have two alignments here, it's been active this morning, a lot of people turning out, we will see what sort of total vote they get, do i want to bring someone right now, that's jennifer webb cook, the site leader here, first of all, tell us how you're feeling the eyes to have nation are on you today? >> i feel wonderful. i think that the temporary chairs and the permanent chairs are doing an excellent job and we will get through this and we are not going to have the problems that iowa had. >> that's really important and what serve wondering, you scrapped the app and you scrapped what was going to be a google thing, how will you tappulate the results? >> we will tabulate the results,
11:03 am
we have huge flyers that we have on the wall where we are going to write it out, we are going to use a plain calculator and calculate the delegates and everything else. >> and then with those results, they'll take about 2 or 3 hours to caucus, is it phone it in or the process? >> we have to phone it in or either take pictures of it and send it in to the democratic headquarters here. >> i mentioned at the beginning here that you'd have historic early voting, do you think there's a chance you have record turnout here? >> i'm not quite sure, from the people that we just had, we had maybe 200 -- over 200, maybe 300 people, but the turnout for early voting was fantastic, 70,000 voters for early voting, we didn't have 70,000 for the last voting, you know, so this is -- it's turned out great but i anticipate we will get more people as they get off of their workdays.
11:04 am
>> do you think that early voting, very quickly will help ease the stress of the caucus? >> it will, it has eased it and we just got our numbers in for early voting, so those would be added, tabulated along with our numbers that we have today. >> ms. webb cook, thank you very much, we know that you're very busy, that's the situation here, we will keep an eye on it and report back to you as things develop. >> all right, griff, thanks so much. arthel. arthel: meanwhile former vice president joe biden looking to appeal to african-american and latino voters in nevada to give his campaign a much-needed boost after struggling in iowa and new hampshire. jacqui heinrich life from the caucus site in vegas, how did you get that one, ms. jacqui? hi. >> hey, arthel, looking for union support, if you listen for campaign speeches, he talks about america was built by

results with diverse electorate, biggest task is taking the other candidates down a few pegs, he took shots at senator bernie sanders and michael bloomberg. [laughter] [cheers and applause] we are all taking a real good look, they are not bad folks, they are just not democrats. >> now, another reason that biden needs to do well here is his fundraising, he started this month with significantly less money in his coffers than senator bernie sanders and slightly more than pete buttigieg. arthel: stakes are high in nevada, jacqui heinrich, thank you. eric: after victory in new hampshire senator bernie sanders now looking for more than a repeat, but he hopes a clear-cut victory in nevada, he's deploying thousands of volunteer and aides to the state there
11:07 am
today, the candidate himself continues to go out on campaign trail, he went to california and next comes texas, he has a rally there later on today early voting is underway, casey steagel, live outside, in 2 hours from now he should be there? >> yeah, eric, about 2 and a half hours away in fact, from bernie sanders addressing his supporters here in el paso, i'm going to hop out of the way and let you take a live look because we are still in advance of it beginning but you can already see how long the line is to get in to the el paso convention center, you know, he's already had big crowds here in texas, by the way, ahead of nevada, he stocked up -- stopped in the dallas area 5,000 people came to rally on valentine's day and mesquite, texas, recent polling shows support in the lone star state growing and mirroring much of what we are seeing with the

11:09 am
>> pretty strong words there, we will see if the messaging translates here in ruby-red texas where trump continues to poll well, though data suggests pockets of the state in and around larger metro areas are shifting blue, however, but early-voting is well underway in texas, it has been for the last 4 days, still a week of that to go, so analysts say that's why it's extremely smart to be hitting texas right now considering that half of texas registered voters vote early, so more than 50% or roughly 50% would have already cast their ballots before the polls even open on super tuesday, so right now a chance to get undecided voters and people that are making decisions now and that's why we saw his schedule fill up so quickly and he's really covering a lot of ground here in texas, hoping it pays off a lot of delegates here as you well know eric. eric: certainly seems like a smart strategy, casey, thank

11:11 am
that's going to have an impact, the dnc's requirements for reporting are also different, they are more complicated, that takes a little more time. >> that's one thing we heard over and over again, patience, the security agency tweeted out today, if you're participating in the caucus, remember that the dems are the best source for their caucus info and results, caucus results can take time to report but accuracy is more important than timelessness of releasing results and that was interesting because, of course, the results trickled in out of iowa so they -- the government right there saying that this is something that will take a little bit of time. now the democratic party here in nevada they set up a hotline for people to call in in case they have any questions and e-mail to address voters' concerns, where we are, arthel, this is interesting, like the media row, you see the blue screen behind me, the results will be projected. we had a chance to talk with party officials that here at the rio hotel in las vegas, so far smooth sailing and hoping for that to continue throughout the

11:14 am
exactly what we have been warning about, we don't know who is responsible for the vandalism but we do know it echos language from the sanders campaign and supporters, bloomberg not on the ballot here in nevada but this is a place where weather might wind up being an issue, it's been a little bit rainy earlier today and i spoke to an official from the bernie sanders campaign they think the rain helps them unlike other campaigns, their supporters would show up in a fire storm, eric. eric: interesting the bloomberg folks talking to so-called bernie bros, hopefully they get to the bottom of it, peter, thank you. you can keep it right here on fox news channel throughout the rest of the afternoon, our special nevada caucus continues, it'll be anchored by bret baier start less than 2 hours from now at 4:00 p.m. iron, we will, of course, bring you the very latest caucus results as they all come in with the expert analysis that you expect and we give you here at the fox news channel. arthel: bret will join us at 3:00 p.m. eastern, we are
