omaha, i've heard people say much like the flu the coronavirus may go away like the flu does when the cold weather goes away and the warmer summer air start, is there anything to that? do we know if the coronavirus acts the same way as influenza? >> steve, that's a really good question. here is a couple of answers, one i think it's more contagious than the flu, so do experts here. 2, characterized with cough and shortness of breath, chest symptoms, muscle ache and fatigue, there's every reason to believe that with seasonal variation of viruses, that, yes, in the late spring when it gets warmer and more humid you may very well see this outbreak and possible pandemic die down, absolutely. ainsley: dr. seigel, how can we protect our families against this? >> i think that being on the alert about this is really key and i think that people who are sick should protect others by wearing masks, washing hands

frequently, and using hand sanitizer especially on plane and public places. it is helping no one and i don't believe that anyone walking down the streets of the united states has to worry about catching this virus. it's all about isolating beam are sick. pete: doctor, to that point, you were in the hospital yesterday where people are quarantined and as someone who understands better than any of us, do you have any concerns for yourself? >> that's a great point, pete. we have been talking about all that all morning, i was in the biocontainment. i met with the nurses and the doctors, i met with a patient. i was shown how to use protective equipment, not for one minute did i worry about getting this virus. they are being careful, they are wearing masks, they are wearing gloves and they are wearing gloves. there's no reason that people need to panic or worry about

calm. steve: that's what we want to hear. peter: appreciate it. ainsley: federal appeals court happens to be in new york decided to agree with the president because you had new york, washington, massachusetts, connecticut and the city of new york suing the government because the president was saying you're not going to get federal money if you don't comply with federal immigration laws. steve: right, which kind of makes sense according to second court of appeals yesterday. they said that it is very clear in this particular law that the u.s. attorney general can impose conditions on states and municipalities receiving money. in other words, if you want our department of justice grants, law enforcement grants, you are going to have to follow our laws and the sanctuary states and sanctuary entities, municipalities are going, wait a minute, they can't do that. well, yesterday the court said yes, they can.
