doing now i and a little about how you came to learn you had it. >> i'm doing just fine. i have no symptoms now and never have. i was tested on the ship, i believe on february 8th. i was tested because i had a kidney transplant, so they considered me high risk, otherwise i wouldn't have been. is so is they tested me and my wife, and surprisingly she was actually positives and i was negative. but, so i was evacuateed through travis air force base, and a few days later i was tested again and now came back positive. i was transferred to a hospital, spent the rest of from then til two days ago in the hospitals in california and utah, and two days ago they sent me home to quarantine here. jedediah: it's really interesting with, your case, because you are high risk because of that kidney transplant, and yet you are

completely asymptomatic of this, so that's an interesting thing we've been reporting. you're the first person we've had to say this, you have no symptoms at all? >> i have no symptoms at all, never have. jedediah: and your wife, what kind of symptoms did she have? she's now test negative, the am i correct? >> yes. she did have a fever for 4-6 hours or so, but then it went away, and she's been asymptomatic as well. jedediah: and in terms of the living conditions with the two of you, how did you go about it when you were asymptommingmatic, testing positive, she was testing negative -- do they give you guidelines what to do in the home? >> oh, yeah. we're under very strict guidelines. we're not to be within 6 feet of each other, they want us to wear maxes if we're in the same -- masks in we're in the same room. no visitors, of course, and they will be coming in with home health to continue to test me until i get those negative tests. yeah, they want us to be very careful about how we interact with each other and with others.

life, those sorts of things. that's what i'm talking about on the campus. jedediah: it seems to me you have chosen some of the most controversial aspects to discuss. these are things that will draw protesters. what is your reaction typically when you address things like gender and marriage, like pro-life activism? >> you never know exactly what to expect. i think sometimes, of course, they show up and there's a big scene, other times the way of shutting you down is to refuse to show up and engage. so i think sometimes the left just protesters are getting smarter and they realize that a big scene is just going to draw more attention to the message. so they say we're going to counter-program and do our own little thing to try to draw people away frit because we don't want people exposed to the message. it could really go east way. pete: you're certainly not afraid to take strong stances. i read the first chapter, plan to read the rest of it, it's called church of cowards, and you make a strong argument that our churches today in america are not what they should be.

what do you mean by that that? >> well, in the church of the west, we have been infected by cowardice, complacency. we're sort of floating on the tide of the culture, going wherever it takes us. i think what we need to do in the church is to reclaim that warrior spirit, that fighting spirit which has always been a part of christianity going back to the very beginning. christianity is not a peace nick, hippie religion where you just go with the flow. jesus was not that kind of messiah, despite how he's portrayed in the media. we need to reclaim that ability to resist the tide of the culture and to fight back against the moral degradation that we see around us. give grif fighting back, there is a petition at change.org to censor you. what is that about? >> i didn't even know about that petition -- [laughter] there's always some kind of petition. anytime you go to speak on one of these campuses, they try to shut you down. petitions don't -- i don't think any speaker's ever said, well, in that case i won't show up. it's not going stop me.

for the administration's going to be. >> yeah. and there's an issue around the strain. these strains change often, and so i want to ask him about the strain and what is this strain right now, how does it change. also when i spoke with dr. carson yesterday ahead of our interviewed today the, he was talking about changes that are going to be going into effect in terms of bidding. there are certain buildings that the vent machines don't, don't cover up or take out certain particles. that's going to be changing. so we've got a big show. i've also got kevin mccarthy, she's going to join us, the head of the gop, jack keane is here, and congressman doug collins. he is going to tell us whether or not they have the votes for the fisa reauthorization which is also happening this upcoming week. a lot of breaking news in the next hour. pete: real quick, the markets, a preview. are we going to see more selling, or are people going to buy some opportunities sneer. >> i mean, if i looked at the

market on friday and left saying, you know what? i would be buying right here because there are so many incredible opportunities for companies that are strong companies that have gotten beaten down. so i do think that there are opportunities, but broadly speaking you're going to have a lot of ups and down, very volatile until we get real clarity on where this is going. from give you say buy, would you consider invest anything a cruise company, a cruise ship company? >> well, we don't know the real impact on earnings yet. i wouldn't want to choose specific names right here, but i difficult think when you look at some of the airlines, cruise lines, they have gotten to levels that are not realistic. so i think there are real opportunities. but that, you really have to be in for knowing that there's going to be true volatility. but i got that say this market looks really good to me, you know, in terms of opportunities. but that's not to say it's not going to go down big. we're going to have lots of 1,000-point declines. pete: maria, thank you so much.

off. that image of him riding around on his strike saying god wants us to help, it's inspired a lot of people. where did that come from? >> we, we have always loved helping others and just serving the community, and so he knew that our neighbors had damage to their houses, and so he wanted to help. he's blessed to have his tools, and that's what he wanted to do. jed talk a little bit about your neighborhood and what it has been through at this time. >> well, when you first turn into our neighborhood it looks like our regular neighborhood, but once you start actually driving, you can start to see the damage. our house was not touched, we don't have a shingle that was gone off of the roof or anything -- >> do you see that? >> yes, they see that. across the street to his grandmother's, she's got some minor roof damage, but after that eventually they are just

demolished. griff: hey, dax, can you hear us? you were speaking to your mom. tell us what you saw, were you scared during the storm? what does your neighborhood look like? >> were you scared? you weren't scared? no? we were in the closet? >> [inaudible] >> you were safe in the closet, yeah. and when we went outside, what did we see? >> [inaudible] >> it didn't get us, did it? we were safe. >> uh-huh. pete: dax, if you would ask, what's his favorite tool? >> what's your favorite tool? what is that? >> pliers. pete: very cool. griff: tell us just a little bit about the efforts happening on the ground in your neighborhood, if you will. >> there's just been an

outpouring from the community trying to help. i had to work and so i haven't been able to help but, of course, the rest of my family has been out there helping. there's the constant people coming in and out of the neighborhood, just complete strange orers pulling up and jumping out of the car to cut down a tree. it's just been an overwhelming feeling, we're a strong community and everyone's willing to help anybody. pete: becky, dax said this is what god would want us to do. what's the role faith has played for you in this? >> i'm sorry, i couldn't hear you. pete: dax said it's what god wants us to do to help out. what role has faith played for you in this? >> faith is everything, you know with, i prayed as we got in the closet that we would just be safe, and god has always had his hand on us and, you know, our faith is very, very strong. i've taught all my children from a young age that, you know, most important to love god.
