brian: fox news alert, the stock market set to open up in just an hour with dow futures on the rise big time. look at that. ainsley: wall street plunged on monday with dow drops over 2,000 points amid coronavirus fears and the oil prices. steve: here to weigh in charles payne, host of making money over at fox business. charles, it's one thing with the coronavirus and you're worried about the health but something else when you see your
5:21 am
money seemingly disanning right before your very eyes. charles: no doubt about it. the psychology of it is enormous because we don't like pain so when there's physical pain we go to a doctor, we take medicine, when it's emotional pain we, you know, think maybe pray or -- or go to psychiatrist or drink alcohol, when it's fiscal, it's financial pain, there's nowhere to go. you keep crying, brian, i keep telling you, it won't put any money on your account. you have people who all of a sudden with long-year horizon, selling great stocks because everyone is selling and most people who are selling and don't know why they are selling. ainsley: should we buy now that stocks are low? charles: i bought 3 stocks at 350, once was tesla, and the other one
5:22 am
advanced macro and other gps. i think the most important thing is don't lose money in stocks that you will regret a year, 5, 10 years from now. steve: what do you make of the president saying the media has been playing the situation to make him look bad? charles: i agree a thousand percent. the s&p was up 5%, so the circuit breaker is going and people are opining, maybe this is a so-called dead cat bounce, nothing compared to yesterday. recession is inevitable. if you listen to this stuff, and, i think, listen, there's one thing to report facts, numbers, it's another thing when every report seems to be the worst case scenario and that's what bothers me. brian: the oil market just trying to catch up, looks like the saudis said we will cut production and the russians said no because if we cut production too the americans are going to make up the
5:23 am
difference so they didn't -- they denied coordinate with us therefore the price dropped and the markets suffered. what's going change today? charles: on oil, what happens is they didn't just cut production, saudi arabia is going to tell you what, we will increase production, 9 million-barrels to maybe 10, 12 billion, we will flood the market and crush the price, yeah, this is a crazy game that they are playing. ultimate game of chicken and on russia's part to derail our success because it's been mindbogglingly. steve: the dow futures as you can see in the corner up 832 points. it's going to be a busy day. charles: another wild ride. focus on what you own. ainsley: they're not as nervous. charles: last week broadway attendance went up. movie receipts were normal. more people working from home but the operative work, networking, we don't need to talk ourselves into a recession or let anybody
5:24 am
else with ulterior motives -- [laughter] ainsley: thank you, charles. steve: check him out over at fox business at 2:00 o'clock this afternoon, mr. payne, thank you. brian: former governor of utah joins us live on the couch. he's back in new york city. governor john huntsman is here. >> tech: don't wait for a chip like this to crack your whole windshield.

brian: fox news alert, oil prices rebounding, great news between price war with russia and saudi arabia tanked the markets yesterday. coronavirus plunging stocks on one of the worst trading days ever. president trump will introduce a plan to combat the market mayhem, he said that yesterday. >> we have a very strong economy but this came, blindsided the world and i think we've handled it very well. things that we are doing economically will be very major including obviously the payroll tax cut. brian: joining us to talk about this the man with best resumes in america, ambassador john huntsman, former governor of utah who wants to be governor of utah again, you have so many areas of expertise. you were in russia for a while. >> that's right. brian: when you see something like this, everyone is looking for the federal government. if you're a governor of a state what role do you have if a crisis like
5:30 am
this? >> in a country that believes in federalism, states laboratory for problem-solving and solutions. we will find out how best to deliver test kits, how best to communicate with the public and how best to deal with things like quarantine and likely through state leadership. brian: we watch russia and saudi arabia have a fight, we are paying the price. russia is concerned of us taking more of their market share and they love that we are suffering like this because the oil price dropped. >> they want to see us divided. they want to drive a wedge into politics but i've always argued that the greatest weapon we have russians is our ability to be energy self-sufficient. what happened yesterday, dropped 10%. in order for the russians to make the numbers to pay the bills oil has to be above 50. when they drop they are
5:31 am
shaking in their boots. they draw from foreign exchange reserve to make numbers work. brian: how they can afford for numbers to stay low? >> they can't. you can imagine the russian economy 1 and a half trillion dollars, the size of texas. brian: what do you know now about vladimir putin and obsession with disrupting our democracy that you didn't know before you took the job? >> how effective putin has been in promulgating his strategy. he's winning in the middle east and has got us divided as americans and basically got us where he wants us. he wants us to fear one another. he wants us to dislike one another. he wants to sow seeds of doubt about the greatest country and greatest political system ever created in the history
5:32 am
of human kind and that's what he intends on doing. you can't -- don't have to declare on war to do that. >> i know fiona well. brian: she talked about putin and meddling in our elections. >> the whole issue of blaming ukraine, that really isn't -- that's spreading russian disinformation, right? >> this is a fictional that has been propull gaited -- promulgated by the russian services. >> did they not know that it's russian disinformation? >> members of congress have been briefed repeatedly an issues like this. >> what about the democrats? have they all promulgated russian
5:33 am
disinformation? >> yes, they have in talking about the president as being illegitimate. brian: your thoughts? >> the american people, brian, do not understand the expertise at putin's disposal to divide us, to prey on our divisions, to use twitter in st. petersburg and they take advantage of us and if people could understand better what the russians are capable of doing, we think as fellow americans we are taking extreme positions, it is not. brian: best thing not to play into it. >> absolutely, you don't play into it. >> brian: the experience in russia invaluable, you worked for two separate presidents and two parties, why do you
5:34 am
want the job back? >> i believe now more than ever, brian, having lived in moscow and beijing that citizenship in the country is honor and privilege and all of us have a responsibility to step up and serve where we can. i'm not very god on the sidelines and i'm a believer on major issues that are on the horizon aren't going to be solved at state level, federalism. now, utah is a very special place. this is a new horizon. this is a new frontier for the united states. people are optimistic and getting things done, they are creating new industries and if we are really going to solve things like health care and education where we test too much and mandate too much, it's going to be figured out at the state level and the most exciting place to serve anywhere. brian: are you going to seek the president's support? >> i've already talked to the president. he's a friend. worked together and there's mutual admiration and respect. i'm sure we will have another conversation. brian: would you tell abby we said hello. >> of course. [laughter]
5:35 am
>> you trained her well and she's taking a lot of the skills you learned from the team and we are benefiting from that. brian: i worked with her so much. finally paying off. >> she loves you. being of mom of 3 kids under 2. the most difficult job of all. brian: one of the greatest people you'll ever meet is your daughter and other kids. best of luck, governor/ ambassador. meanwhile coming up straight ahead, a coach fight a referee in hockey at a kids' game. who deserves more time in the penalty box? we will talk about it and katherine schwarzenegger pratt on brand new book. it's an excellent book. she joins us live.

you can find it in the vitamin aisle in stores everywhere. prevagen. healthier brain. better life. steve: learning to forgive can be one of the most difficult challenges in life. ainsley: in her new gift katherine schwarzenegger pratt writes look on those who learn to forgive in life. >> i felt like i didn't have a good handle on it and found good inspiration by talking to other people in their journey of forgiveness. steve: as you say in the conclusion of the book, there were some dates you barely talked because you were thinking about the person's story.
5:41 am
>> all of the stories in this book are so inspiration and so raw and vulnerable and i was so blessed to have people open up to me in a way that was such a huge gift and gift to everybody who reads this book. i didn't know what to expect going into every single interview because you never know what to expect, but i was very, very thrilled with the way the book turned out and also the inspiration that will hopefully be passed onto others. ainsley: being this the news business we cover a lot of stories, individuals that their family members had to learn to forgive. you talk today elizabeth -- talked to elizabeth smart. >> i have a good collection of people who have practiced forgiveness and struggled to forgiveness in different ways, that was important to me because forgiveness is a unique topic. and so it was important to have good variety of different experiences and struggles with forgiveness. steve: speaking of
5:42 am
passage with tonya brown, tonya could not begin her journey until acceptance until she uncovered the truth about her sister's death, vital step and struggle to accept and move on but the struggle would take over a decade and required extraordinary faith. a lot of faith in your book. >> yeah, but it was important for me to have a good collection of people who had faith going into their forgiveness journey. some who found faith and some who still don't necessarily have a faith because when i was researching forgiveness in my own struggle a lot of faith-based books which are amazing but important to have a good collection. ainsley: how has your faith grown? i know that you have married chris pratt and faith is such a center part of your relationship? >> no, it is a huge part
5:43 am
of our relationship and lives and upbringing, i grew up with faith being a huge part of my family's part as well. it's huge part of healing process. if you're able to have that to rely on is a great gift. steve: you tell great stories about forgiveness and in the end you summarize and you leave a little blank space at the end where people can do what? >> well, people can actually write down their forgiveness thoughts. what i down and what i found is that when you bring up a subject of forgiveness which is not often talked about that people go to a specific incident in their minds or person that may have hurt them or that they need to go back and actually practice forgiveness with and so my sister kristina actually gave me great suggestion to have great work book in the back, write someone a letter, write down a list of names that maybe you want to go back and -- and reevaluate your forgiveness journey on and so it's a great part
5:44 am
at the end of the book. ainsley: i know in my life that i have had to forgive, it helps me too and closer to christ. what's a common denominator, not everyone is a christian in this book. you we wanted to highlight different religious. is there a common denominator that you have to forgive? >> the biggest common denominator that forgiveness is a gift that you give yourself and something that we grow up thinking, you to wait for someone to ask for forgiveness. it's about you taking the power back and you want to go decide you may have experienced hurt and pain or trauma in your life you don't want that to be part moving forward. it's a gift that you give yourself. steve: so many families that are fractured because something happened once upon a time and somebody just can't get over it because they -- i can't believe they did that
5:45 am
and years and decades go by, wait, we have been at loggerheads for so long because of something kind of stupid. >> welshing something that actually interesting came up a lot and we have a facebook group and big topic of conversation as family breakups and dynamics that are requiring forgiveness but complicated and time a lot of time. there's no time limit on forgiveness. no right or wrong way to forgive. there's only your way. i think that's an encouraging part of forgiveness. some people in this book have taken 30 years to practice forgiveness. others continue to struggle with it and some practice in a moment and so i think people will be able to relate to different versions of forgiveness. ainsley: such a powerful book. we covered the charleston shooting, remember everyone stood up in the courtroom and looked at the killer -- right, right. beautiful book. >> thank you. ainsley: we need more of this in the country.
5:46 am
politics are so divided. [laughter] ainsley: thank you so much, katherine. steve: the gift of forgiveness and comes out today. >> yes, it does. ainsley: we wish you all the best. everyone say a prayer for her. >> thank you. ainsley: jillian is over there right behind you with headlines. jillian: good morning, congratulations, what a beautiful book, can't wait to read it. prince andrew refusing to cooperate into investigation of jeffrey epstein's coconspirators. she has completely shut the door on voluntary cooperation. he's not been accused of criminal wrongdoing. mayor pete headed to late night. the presidential candidate will host jimmy kimmel live on thursday. buttigieg will perform monologue and interview star trek actor patrick

[inaudible] jillian: you can see the coach charging at the ref and punching him over and over in the ice in massachusetts. he had just been ejected from the game for using abusive language. all the kids on the team are under 12 year's old. this as you can imagine has a lot of people
5:48 am
talking on social media. one person tweets, he should be banned for life, no doubt. and this person says, wow, what a great influence for kids. that's a look at your headlines. send it back to you. >> so true. >> all right. ainsley: we do not condone that. janice: big day, primary day for some of the states. the current temperatures, cold front that's moving on in and potential with thunderstorms for mississippi, one of the primary states, could see snow behind this with cold enough air sinking in across the great lakes an upper midwest. some of this energy is going to move across the east coast, but the good news it's going the weaken. we are watching potential for showers and thunderstorms moving into california and the southwest which could bring flash flooding. there's your forecast today, so we are watching michigan as well. that will clear out and we should have a good voting day today. mississippi i'm going to watch you and, of course, the northwest as well where showers and little bit of mountain snow.
5:49 am
all right, back to you, steve and ainsley. steve: still snow out there. janice: little bit. ainsley: everyone is talking about the coronavirus, spread to go 36 states now and one university took major step to protect the students there. we are live next. steve: all right, meanwhile ed henry live on the channel in 11 minutes but right now a preview. ed: good morning, friends, your 401(k) doing a whole lot better after president trump teed up economic stimulus plan. we have maria bartiromo standing by for the opening bell and prospects with charles payne and our headliner house minority steve scalise help to go get that passed plus today is super tuesday, all to bring you the greatest 9:00 to noon. see you then.
