heather: the latest delegate count, 1929 needed for the nomination. with you see he has a path forward to possibly win? does he have that? >> last time in 2016 i worked in michigan for the majority of the time i was on the campaign. we barely won that by a point or two so michigan was going to be the place he could be the new comeback kid. joe biden decisively winning not just the african-american vote that was talked about on super tuesday but white college-educated voters, non-educated voters, white voters, he has been able to show that he is the one which i won't call it the obama coalition. he got the joe biden coalition. i don't see how that path is going to shape out for sanders when we talk about going to florida it was absolutely not

going to go for a socialist any and ohio, more conservative moderate state. jillian: we talked about mississippi and michigan. we will talk about that with another guest coming up later in the show. in terms of the states we are facing next week what about those states specifically and we can bring that up for people as well, ohio, florida, illinois, arizona? >> when we talk about florida we are talking the south again. and cuban americans in florida who absolutely want nothing to do with socialism. in 2016 bernie sanders didn't even try to compete in florida. he just conceded that state because he knew it wouldn't go well like he did mississippi but don't see that doing well. we talk about ohio, another moderate state, a state that is republican-led on the governor level.

what about that in terms of the match up against donald trump in these southern states? we can bring up the southern state win so far for joe biden which are pretty significant. >> they are significant when it comes to the democratic nomination process but when it comes to the general election i think donald trump will sweep the southern states, look to 2016, look at the primaries, mississippi specifically, hillary clinton won 83% of the vote in mississippi during the primary process, 90% of the black vote in mississippi and also lost to donald from over 17 points, donald trump has a strong leader and will take them again. heather: another paul, random selection of voters is who this pole was directed at, they say

joe biden would beat trump in michigan by 83%. mississippi by 90% and missouri by 83%. what do you think of that poll? >> many of the polls are comical when you look at the 2016, they said hillary clinton would sweep states that she -- no path to victory and as we know he had a path to victory in more elect oral votes. heather: people have not talked about how religion plays into this race, the trump team announced milwaukee, the rally will bring out catholic voters for them. how do you think that key demographic will be in the 2020 election? >> when you look at the pew polling that has come out recently over half of catholics support all or most of the church's teaching, 18% support all the teachings, looking at 18% specifically, they are more likely to vote in elections and identify as conservatives for

the simple fact he backs them on the issue of abortion and religious liberty, the president promised in 2016 on the campaign trail that he would elect conservative, pro-life justices that follow the text of the constitution. that is what he did not only with the two supreme court justices but almost 200 federal judges on the bench since he took office. >> does the next paul surprise you in terms of mississippi, random voters asked, show 80% of people in mississippi who attend religious services once a week or more voted for biden. >> know. this is primary polling and when you look at the general election if you look out drastically far left democrats of gone on the issue of abortion, back to 2004, some of john kerry's dances on
