sanders might have a nominal win in north dakota but might not get difficult to get out of mississippi. from a delegate perspective joe biden took a substantial lead. mathematically it is not over but a lot of democratic voters want it to be over. realistically bernie sanders has one more shot at this and it is the debate where there will be no audience. the one shot is to get joe biden to make a big gaffe. yesterday he called the -- cursed at a union voter, joe biden will make a gaffe just about every day. the question is can it happen on the debate stage, big enough to derail biden? if i were bernie sanders i would becoming up with the craziest 1-liner possible to jar joe biden into making a big error on the debate stage. heather: it shows the delegate stage, joe biden with 823 and bernie sanders with 663.

mathematically, could is still happen for bernie sanders? perhaps. if you look at march 17th, arizona, florida, illinois, ohio you have delegates up for grabs, a significant number but do you think it is realistic? >> important to remember joe biden has 50% of the total delegates up to this point so it is mathematically possible but if you look at the polling in the state you brought up, bernie sanders is underwater in all those states. bernie sanders needs a major game changer, needs biden to do something that makes and practically unelectable on the debate stage. it is not impossible. biden has misspoken almost on a daily basis making some sort of gaffe the press hasn't blown out of proportion. rob: on the debate stage sunday, so much attention on joe biden instead of all these people that need to talk there will be two people that have to talk a lot.

>> that is why this talk about getting bernie sanders to drop out today, i understand where democrats are coming from, trying to protect joe biden but if i'm bernie sanders i'm taking one more shot and throwing all my punches the data file and something he has a chance, if not, the math really shows it is done. jillian: look at white suburban voters, african american voters, joe biden has a lot of that. i wonder how at this point bernie sanders will pull from that. realistically that is what he would need to do. >> you've got to convince voters, democrats, that joe biden is unelectable and there's a case being made because he has a hard time speaking for a long time, putting together sentences and he was out for the count because of this terrible debate performances, donald trump is licking his chops at debating

joe biden because donald trump will for all intents and purposes destroyed joe biden in the debates. if i'm joe biden is get the nomination, trying to limit to one debate and run away as quickly as possible that is where bernie sanders needs to say i am the stronger nominee because i will be able to be more aggressive and assemble new coalitions. not sure that is the case. both of these frontrunners are pretty weak compared to what some people expected from the democratic primary when it started. rob: everybody thought they had such a shot at trump, the endorsement, andrew yang for joe biden, waiting on elizabeth warren. how much of an impact do these have? >> most times endorsement have almost no impact and i don't think elizabeth foreign's endorsement would have an impact. i don't think it will happen, i don't think her and bernie are happy with each other because they were taking from each other's vote count, there is bad blood there. if you look what happened with joe biden endorsements fueled his comeback but i don't think that could happen for bernie sanders. it needs to be a major error by

for sanders, a group of people the president wants to win back that he has been losing. does he need to be concerned about support for joe biden? >> joe biden's victory was propelled on the backs of white working-class voters in michigan. they simply to return for bernie sanders with the same vigor they did in 2016. i don't think the influx of suburban women to joe biden is concerning for the president. approved he needs to reach out and the campaign is actively reaching out. the economy doing well is something that will convince suburban women it is safer to stay the course four more years rather than take a chance on new leadership and leadership. >> a response on suburban voters? >> there are parts i agree on.

i disagree that the economy will stay good particularly with the coronavirus. we could see shifts in the economy in terms of the stock market and other things suburban voters may be concerned about. when that happens you will see them turn more towards biden. when i talk to suburban voters, they are not worried about trump's economy. what they don't like is trump's attitude and comportment and that will come into play. you will see people turn towards biden when they take those factors into account. rob: between biden and sanders, it is still building up from last night, 63 for bernie sanders, next week you have this big day, march 17th, these

the national guard taking over new rochelle, new york as cases spike and anxiety over the fire is shutting down schools and canceling events but do these measures have merit or are we overreacting? infectious disease expert here with expert insight. what do you say? is there an overreaction? >> i don't think there is an overreaction. there is a fine line between panic and getting information to protect themselves. jillian: 54 universities cancel or postpone classes and significant ones, harvard, stanford, university of washington, the list goes on, a number of events worldwide have been canceled including st. patrick's day parade in boston and dublin, a lot of them in local neighborhoods have been canceled or postponed in addition to different music festivals, sporting events. do you think those steps are necessary?

>> you have to look at each city, have a nuanced decision how the viruses transmitting and whether a cancellation will decrease the impact, flatten the curve so you don't have a peek in cases that gradually come up and that won't be something you can blankets to everything so you have to look at local conditions and make the decision. heather: if your canceling classes students are still out in the community potentially being at risk of getting coronavirus. >> if you use social distancing measures you have to make sure people are not congregating, they went to water park, make sure that is not happening. >> the updated numbers as of this morning, 1000 cases in the
