homes except for essential travel like work or grocery shopping. a stay at home advisory encouraging residents to stay home but they are not mandating it. major cities putting out their own restrictions. atlanta put a 2 week stay-at-home order in place. georgia has banned public gatherings and called on nonessential businesses to close up shop. governor brian campuses businesses can be shut down if they don't comply. hawaii is going further, threatening to put people in prison for up to a year if they knowingly violate their stay-at-home order, residents can be fined $5,000, the garden state is putting the end, phil murphy saying i signed an elective order suspending all elective surgeries and invasive procedures for adults. medical and dental, effective at 5:00 pm on march 20 seventh. this applies to all operations that can be safely delayed as determined by doctor or dentist.

you need was a hard decision. >> reporter: how have your employees taken it? >> everyone is trying to take it in stride. this is an unprecedented event. i know in the state of connecticut filing for unemployment, they will get some compensation during this whole process but of course most of our employees live off of tips so unemployment will not be too much in comparison to what they are used in making. jillian: the restaurant industry's 3-month projection is shocking when you see the statistics, $2025 billion expected industry loss, 5 million-7 million layoffs, 15.6 million people. are you getting enough help? are you getting all the help you need? what do you need? >> as of right now we just

finished filling out the small business association form so we will be eligible for federal or state funding in the future but right now all of that is up in the air. we are waiting for some help. we could all use some financial help right now. we still have to pay the rent over the course of this month and next month and into the next month which our insurance policies continue on during the time so we are not collecting hundreds of thousands of dollars right now and we are in the same shape. >> the national restaurant association sends a request, $100 billion in business interruption insurance and federal loan program for lost revenue. you never imagine the scenario you would be in this position but did you always have a back out plan in case you had to

close your doors for a while? >> we had a lot of scenarios in place but nothing like this. we ended up shutting down our restaurants, not opening for take a right now. that makes more sense financially and from a moral aspect as well so we were never prepared for something like this. jillian: what is next? >> we are hunkering down and waiting this out and hoping the end date is somewhere up in the air. we hope everyone can pull together, stay isolated so we can come back to reality sometime soon. that is what everyone really needs. we really need to open our doors. >> thank you for joining us, appreciate it. if you're in that area support

>> this is something that is not a magic bullet but it is the best data that we have, and that is a combination of hydroxychloroquine and the packard given to patients in china and france shortened the course of the disease, we have data about that, date in the test tube and it looks promising. we are using it in kansas city. >> it sounds great the. the results of his french study that spurred a lot of this talked about coronavirus patients that were cured when they used the combo. 57.one% got the hydrochloric when and neither if you go to 12.5%. is it strange to see this combo of things working. they are for bacterial infections. it is an antibiotic. >> that is correct.
