6:00 pm
it's a triage moment, we get it. but stop lying to us because it makes us cynical. divides the country. tell the truth, we can handle it. that's it for us tonight. will be back tomorrow. kennedy's life from outside the comfort. dr. oz in manhattan, here he is. >> sean: majestic, the only words i can say. it's unbelievable, incredible. welcome to hannity. tonight, we begin with facts without fear broadcasting live on the ground in new york city where the comfort, a 1,000 bed u.s. naval hospital ship is now docked. this is a floating city. is massive. normally stationed in norfolk, virginia, and manned by a highly trained, highly skilled members of the u.s. navy, the comfort will begin receiving patients as early as tomorrow morning. the ship will serve as a support system housing noncoronavirus cases in order to free up beds
6:01 pm
of covid-19 patients for new york hospitals. . is equipped with 12 operating rooms, 12. 20 surgical recovery rooms, 80 intensive care beds, and 900 additional beds for other cases. coming up, the captain of the comfort will take us inside this incredible ship, an amazing floating hospital. of course, the enormous surge of patients at new york hospitals is just one part of what is a massive support efforts now underway all throughout new york and the country. at new york, the army corps of engineers have now just completed the construction of a temporary hospital for nearly 3,000 beds and they did it in record time. multiply other temporary hospital surrounding new york are now also being erected. five of them. now friday, the president approved more right inside
6:02 pm
new york city. all told, the u.s. army corps of engineers is stepping over 100 sites nationwide to be used as a potential emergency hospitals. all in record time. we are truly blessed to live in a country with so many amazing people. this is all part of what is the largest, the single most aggressive full-fledged response to beat back the silent enemy. we've never seen such mobilization of forces against any pandemic ever in history. and now the great american private sector are mobilized, ford and gm are now planning the production of 50,000 ventilators. that's coming up soon. general motors will have 10,000 of those we expect by mid-april. on the california-based are now starting to mass-produce ventilators as well should they be needed. my pillow, haynes, jockey,
6:03 pm
procter & gamble, raytheon, all hands on deck ramping up the mass production of masks and gloves and other vital medical supplies. and by the way breaking today after getting emergency approval from the fda, abbott labs -- this is huge -- they have successfully created a test for covid-19 that can get the american people results in around 5 minutes and every state will now receive at least 15 of abbott's testing machines which can perform up to 50,000 tests per day. we have more good news from the treatment point and the front they are. we've been telling you about this antimalaria drug. used for lupus as well. hydroxychloroquine has now been authorized for emergency use nationwide after promising results from several preliminary studies. now, the pharmaceutical giant which is described as one of those evil pharmaceutical corporations by many people on the left and the media are stepping up too.
6:04 pm
they're donating 130 million doses of this drug for treatme treatment. and meanwhile, israeli pharmaceutical giant announced supply with 6 million doses already another 4 million reportedly on the way. dr. oz will weigh in and get this, the phase one testing of a vaccine is already underway. this is a process that used to take years. they were able to break down a sequence of this virus in about six weeks. i want to be clear, make no mistake, everybody needs to buckle up. we are about to experience what will be a very hard and very difficult and very emotionally draining the next couple of weeks. the numbers of infections, numbers of deaths will continue to rise, but if the patterns we have seen elsewhere around the world hold including china, south korea now beginning to see and in italy and elsewhere after that increase, will see a leveling off and then we hope for the precipitous decline. our health care system is facing a massive health challenge.
6:05 pm
we americans are the united states, home over the brave, land of the free. that's us. we are rising to the occasion. now, will everything be perfect? no, absolutely not, but the entire country with the exception of the usual suspects in the media mob and of course do nothing psychotic hate trump democrats, the rest of the country is all hands on deck. and thanks to american ingenuity, hard work, determination, we will get through this. we will recover. we will be better. we will be stronger. we are rewriting the books onto paradigms right before our eyes. a transformational time and i guarantee you, you won't be calling a travel ban xenophobic and fearmongering and so one. it's an invisible enemy. we have to win. there's no option but to win. joining us now, the commander of the northern command and north american aerospace defense
6:06 pm
command general and the captain of the comfort, joseph o'brien. let me start with you. we are going to be showing pictures throughout the night. this goes on for blocks. this is one of the most impressive things i've ever seen in my life. >> american ingenuity there. >> sean: walk us through the ship a little bit. 12 operating rooms, all this personnel on board. >> we have about 1,000 medical professionals on board and about 75 billion to run the ship and make sure they're safe for travel. all those people getting together in the last week
6:07 pm
getting that underway in a peer. we are happy to be here and help out our fellow americans. >> sean: it's so impressive. command general, tell me about what the effort is here. >> i'll tell you what, this is definitely a whole nation effort that we are proud to be a part of the u.s. northern command number one is to defend the united states of america, just declared war on covid-19 and we are part of that sum as we look at what we can do coast-to-coa coast-to-coast, the comfort right there with you but we also have the mercy and a lot of army capability already deployed as well. >> sean: tell us about the creation of this, but we are declaring war. these are hospital ships that we would use in war, and tell us about the personnel, the level
6:08 pm
of expertise because you'll be exhilaratinabsorbing all of theo free up the hospital space in new york and out in california. >> is a world-class hospital. >> i didn't mean to step in, go ahead. general, go ahead. >> sorry. so what's a world-class hospital, world-class physicians. we've proved by doing operations around the world, we are happy to be able to provide that service here in new york. world-class facilities, a little bit more austere environment that most people are used to. >> sean: i've got to tell you, thank you guys and please tell everybody that is behind me. i want people to see how big this ship is. you cannot believe it up close
6:09 pm
and personal. is unbelievable. is like the city on the water and below the hudson. anyway, from the military to health care workers to private industry citizens across the country, they are rising to the occasion during this very critical time. and also tonight we are witnessing a tremendous outpouring of support, america's great charities over the weekend, franklin graham samaritan's purse set up a 15,000 square foot temporary hospital in new york city's central park, this site will now serve as an overflow location for mount sinai which is located across the street and joining us now with more as the president of samaritan's purse, franklin graham. you set up a hospital in italy. also when the tornadoes hit tennessee recently, you guys were on the ground within 12 hours according to our mutual friend michael w smith.
6:10 pm
you have this appear, incredible preparedness and a willingness to dive right in, and this is really going to help the hospital in new york by putting in central park. >> sean, this is what we do. we respond to crisis whether it's italy, whether it's jonesboro, arkansas, just deployed there today or central park. we have an incredible group of men and women that respond in jesus' name when there's a crisis. we have a 68 bed hospital right there in central park staffing it with about 70 doctors and nurses and technicians, biomed people. we can treat just about anything that comes in their as far as their lungs are concerned. this is a desperate situation, this coronavirus, and we've got people there that have experience dealing with infectious diseases. they are equipped for it, they are ready for it, and we just pray that god will bless not
6:11 pm
only them, but all the doctors in new york and around this country and the nurses that are working overtime that are stressed, being stretched. and they need our prayers, and we will open tomorrow and were going to give the best health care we can to all new yorkers, doesn't matter who they are, what they are. they come to us, we're going to give them the best medical care that we possibly can in jesus' name. >> sean: reverent, i've got to tell you something. at times like this, we see that best in people and we see unfortunately at times the worst but i will say this. between the media and the democrats, the better part of america is way outweighing those that want to try and politicize something the way they have. >> sean, unfortunately that's the world in which we live. people try to take advantage and bring politics but this is a time that all of us need to come together and work together to save life made in this
6:12 pm
coronavirus is going to kill republicans, it's going to kill democrats, it's going to kill independence, and we just need to work together for the better of this nation. i request that people put aside their politics for a few weeks and let's work together to solve this problem and let's ask god's help. we're coming up on easter and this is a great time to remind people that god loves us, he hasn't turned his back on us, and he sent his son from heaven to this earth to take the sins of mankind, put our faith and trust in him. god will forgive us and he will heal our hearts and that's the message of easter. easter was about god's love for mankind. so were coming up on that day, and we have a great crisis before this nation and we need to turn to god. >> sean: reverend, thank you for all you're doing, unbelievable. we appreciate it.
6:13 pm
tonight, one of the reasons samaritan's purse has had to set up an emergency hospital in the middle of central park is because of the state and city government. let me tell you about new york. this is really something we've got to deal with. they have failed the people of new york on a spectacular level. the lack of preparedness a total dereliction of duty. i understand that we are now in the middle of a major crisis. i'm not going to make it the focus of the show right now. new york is the epicenter of this deadly disease. what we are now discovering is the state of new york and the city of new york were never prepared for a single thing. all of these efforts we see with samaritan's purse and the president. the president is building the hospitals, the president sent the ship. he is delivered on every single promise and dedicated literally full force of the federal government to help out new york including that massive ship right behind me. presidents going to continue to send new york the help it desperately needs. is the right thing to do.
6:14 pm
after wasting a new york billions and billions of dollars, let's see, they spend $750 million on a failed solar panel. that factor is gone. another 90 million on an empty factory. that's gone just to name a few and all we hear from the governor and the mayor of new york blaming trump and demanding, i want 30,000 ventilators. we found out that the four that the government sent them would be in a warehouse. they haven't been using them yet, and many as we reported are being made. in 2015, new york task force determine the state would need thousands of additional ventilators to handle any massive pandemic. they've got a highly concentrated area, new york city and if it's a pandemic, small geographic area, that makes you a big target. you should be prepared for those things. maybe we didn't need the light bulb factory and the solo
6:15 pm
factory. maybe they could have been making ventilators and masks and gloves preparing for something like this. the governor didn't purchase a single one, not one. instead it came up with a plan to actually ration the few ventilators that they have. and what is so shocking is new york, which is the single most densely populated city in the united states clearly needs to be prepared for pandemics. new york we all know the number one terror target in the united states. the governor is in his third terms. year after year, they did not prepare this city and now the federal government is rushing to the rescue in record time. solar panel failures, light bulb failures, no masks, no gallons, no ventilators, and then they bark orders at the federal government and it must get done. we've got to take care of the american people and we stop things here to protect the lives of americans here. that is who we are and what we
6:16 pm
do. president trump sent this ship. 3,000 beds at the javits center hospital. president trump, he sent those. the other hospitals, one in westchester, one in nassau county being set up. the president again in the army corps of engineers the most amazing people and then the governor and the mayor for photo ops and lectures when they should have been prepared. i've said many times this pandemic brings the best out of america and unfortunately sometimes it highlights the very worst. same people who spread conspiracy theories in the media mob and of course democrats that were fighting last week for the national endowment for the arts and humanities and the kennedy center. making american workers wait on the hospital's weight, small businesses wait, big businesses wait, ukraine, russia, mph. the same people now trying to use the deadly virus to bludgeon
6:17 pm
the president politically when it should be all hands on deck. nancy pelosi who strongly insinuated the president is killing people. we are going to have a full segment designated to this madness along with a full-time line of her abusive corrupt malignant actions that have done nothing but slow the federal response to covid-19. over the weekend, conspiracy tv asking quid pro quo joe if president trump, you know the guy ten days after the first known in the united states put a travel ban in effect, then put a quarantine in effect, does he have blood on his hands? you can't make this up, it's pathetic. >> your campaign put out in a critique of president trump ends as if he doesn't do these things, it could cost lives. do you think there's already -- do you think there's blood on the president's hands
6:18 pm
considering the slow response or is that too harsh of a critici criticism? >> i think that's a little too harsh. why not all right, did he ask you many tough questions? of course not. but he did hold him accountable for calling the china travel ban xenophobic and hysterical and fearmongering. absolutely not. did chuck todd seem interested in telling the truth or playing politics? 's mission is to prop up quid pro quo joe who is not doing very well and trying to bludgeon president trump. anyone in the media ever say that travel ban likely prevented thousands and thousands of americans from contracting the virus and then exponentially mathematically dying? meanwhile just ten days ago, chuck's conspiratorial colleague rachel maddow said this about that hospital ship that it stopped behind me, take a look. >> in terms of the happy talk we have, there is no sign that the
6:19 pm
navy hospital ships of the president made such a big deal love, the comfort and the mercy, there is no sign they'll be anywhere on site helping out anywhere in the country for weeks yet. the president said when he announced that those ships would be put into action against the covid-19 epidemic, he said one of those ships would be operational in new york harbor by next week. that's nonsense. will not be there next week. >> sean: all right, it wasn't seven days, it was ten. you got them, rachel. so how will trump ever recover? better yet, how does anyone trust the outright conspiracy theorists, that whole network full of lies, conspiracy theories. i never see one person get thats much wrong. she does a disservice to reviewers. but there's someone might even be worse. joy reid is pretty pathetic too peered over the weekend, she took the tinfoil hat conspiracy theory to a whole new level. she is now telling her viewers
6:20 pm
that president trump might use the coronavirus to become a monarch. in the middle of a pandemic. take a look. >> news that trump has always designed training as a monarch with unlimited power rather than serving as a mere president and a democracy but with the country facing an unprecedented public health crisis, what lengths might he backed by an attorney general who is writing the fundamental belief in an all-powerful presidency with the would be king of the republicans, what lengths might trump go to under the guise of national security >> greg: ? >> sean: so we are trying to get the help and the safety of the american people focus on facts without fear. and one topic that does deserve our attention is the malignant behavior of china's dictatorship. the world is suffering because
6:21 pm
china failed cover-up of covid-19. the study came out in great britain last week, this could have been prevented. look at the city morning herald and australia. in that province in china, chinese control companies were buying up one d's of medical supplies from them knowing they would probably need it themselves. it literally drained australia's surplus supply. here with more on china as well as america's behind-the-scenes effort to get thousands of americans back home during this outbreak, secretary of state mike pompeo. mr. secretary, i know for a fact that you have gotten people, people on missions. you've gotten them home safely. people all across the globe, you've been working 24/7. i want people to know what you've been doing behind the scenes. >> thanks for having me on the show tonight, the state department team has done an amazing work over 25,000
6:22 pm
americans returned home when airports all across the world were closed and health care facilities across the world were closed. he's americans wanted to come home. at 25,000 americans, 50 countries, dozens and dozens of flights. we've got several thousand more people to get home and the state department is hard at work. you've heard some of these stories, you just heard the story of the comfort, the story from samaritan's purse. you are the stories of what the state department done to get people out of places, we had a sick american, an american citizen who was suffering. we got him out and got him back and got him to safety. a truly good work to bring americans help and it's the best of what they have demonstrated in this enormous crisis. >> sean: we've got to deal with this issue of china. are you confident now, they have valuable intel and information that could help the world after they hid this when you said the last time on the show, you would have gladly sent our experts over to help them.
6:23 pm
>> president trump and i have been committed to making sure that we had the best data available. when you hear doctors fauci and birx talk about risk and talk about fatalities trying to think about how to model, what they need is data. and they need data from italy, data from china, data from iran. we need every country to step up and provide accurate transparent information and we can't have that if we have disinformation instead, more lives that will be at risk not only today but in the weeks ahead as we battle this enormous challenge. we've asked every country to step up, tell us what they know so that the world can learn, america will then turn around and share the information we can't and will keep people safe not only here in the united states but all across the world. >> sean: you're having a problem with iran. the last time on this program, you actually said if they asked for help, you would give it. tell us what's going on. >> we have repeatedly offered the people of iran assistance.
6:24 pm
this is a humanitarian crisis inside the islamic republic as well. we've offered to provide humanitarian assistance and we've offered to provide assistance. they don't want to take it from americans or have other countries get their assistance into the country, that offer stood then and it stands now. sadly, their regime, the leadership has rejected those offers of humanitarian assistance from us here in america. it's really unfortunate for the armenian people. >> sean: a lot of it has been made over calling at the wuhan virus and took issue with anybody saying sorry, we do that with a lot of other illnesses. >> president trump was very clear and even said it again this morning, he talked about it being the chinese coronavirus. what we've been looking for here all along as we simply want to make sure we understand what's happened so that we can prevent the loss of life moving forward. were looking to cooperate with every country and love to cooperate with the chinese as well to get the right information so that we can do
6:25 pm
all that's needed to find therapeutic vaccines, to do everything we can to reduce the risk that they will be more lives lost as the world moves forward. >> sean: mr. secretary, thank you and thank you for bringing home all of those americans. coming up, the department of justice reportedly investigating at least one lawmaker over stock trades made after receiving a coronavirus briefing. trace gallagher has that report. nancy pelosi stooping to new lows to attack the president. she was in preachin impeaching e president's time. you won't believe what she said straight ahead. we believe at newday usa we have a noble purpose.
6:26 pm
we want to be known as america's mortgage company for veterans and active-duty service people. some of them are giving their lives right now, today, for the freedoms that we have here in this country. they're willing to do that, so for us, at newday to help those people at this point in time. it's a labor of love, it's a noble service,
6:27 pm
and that's what we're all about.
6:28 pm
avoid sick people... and touching your face. there are everyday actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory diseases. visit cdc.gov/covid19. brought to you by the national association of broadcasters and this station.
6:29 pm
>> sean: also developing tonight, the department of
6:30 pm
justice is probing stock sell-off by several senators, republican and democrat. including the senate intel committee republican richard burr following a briefing about the coronavirus in january. here to explain more, chief breaking news correspondent trace gallagher. i don't know how we get to the bottom of this, but i imagine there's a paper trail. >> there always is. the doj as you said looking into several lawmakers for insider trading and the possibility of that but they have now reached out to north carolina g.o.p. senator richard burr. he sits on two committees including one in late january that were briefed about the growing threat of coronavirus. then on february 13th, he sold $1.7 million of stock stating himself in an estimated $250,000 in losses. he says he made the decisions based on public information coming out of asia and is bowing to cooperate. his attorneys say senator burr welcomes a thorough review of the facts in the matter which
6:31 pm
will establish that his actions were appropriate. other senators who were actively trading before the virus began spreading include republicans kelly loeffler, david perdue, and james inhofe, and the husband of democrat dianne feinstein also sold stock before the market downturn. we should note mr. berger is regarded at the senate's leading authority on pandemics having written a book about the subject back in 2006. >> sean: trace gallagher, thank you. now unfortunately as president trump and his coronavirus task force work around the clock to keep our country safe and secure, sadly not everybody is rising to the occasion. nancy pelosi and the democrats, the ones that were withholding valuable money for hospitals or displaced workers that have rent payments and have mortgage payments and car payments and kids in college, they were fighting for money from the national endowment for the arts in the kennedy center and the arts and humanities. anyway, use it as an opportunity to attack the president while
6:32 pm
the rest of the country is all hands on deck. listen to this shameful remarks you made yesterday on fake news cnn. >> the president, his denial at the beginning was deadly. his delaying of getting equipment to where -- it continues his delayed getting equipment where it's needed is deadly. but as the president has come and are dying. >> sean: sick, shameful, false, and sadly predictable. and as the travel ban, he announced january 31st 10 days after the first known case in the united states, i haven't seen one democrat that said that was a good decision. that saved a lot of americans from contracting the virus and maybe even dying. along with other of dozens of actions, fast tracking fda treatment, this is all going to be the new way going forward. a hospital ship behind me.
6:33 pm
nancy pelosi's hypocrisy couldn't be any more blatant. just weeks after the president's travel ban, she was urging san francisco residents to have public gatherings and also keep in mind that when president trump was confronting this threat months ago informing his task force, democrats, what were they doing? they were in the middle of their impeachment. they were too busy. here with reaction, republican congressman steve scalise, doug collins of georgia. i look at this, i see all of our hospitals waiting over a week, i see workers through no fault of their own needing money, and small businesses, big businesses writing for the national endowment for the arts and humanities in the kennedy center. i don't get it. you've got to help me out here. maybe you understand this. >> there's not a lot to understand there but it shows the misplaced priorities of speaker pelosi and her radical allies. while everybody else was working
6:34 pm
together, republican and democrat with president trump who was solely focused on fighting for jobs for american families who are facing being laid off i'm a maybe those small businesses shutting down for good, president trump wanted to stay that often help get relief to those families and nancy pelosi literally held the bill up for days to get her pet projects including the money for the kennedy center, interesting she gives the choice of words fiddlers because it was the violin players, all the musicians at the kennedy center that got laid off right as the bill got signed. we've got a bill to take the money back from the kennedy center but it shows you how misguided her pulled down my priorities were. she was fighting for these new deals in solar panels on airplanes and crazy stuff that nobody else was focused on. people were trying to literally save jobs and the likelihood of our economy and hospitals getting the resources they need and president trump was pushing as hard as he could to get that money out and she was holding it up for those kind of things.
6:35 pm
>> sean: i am seeing in glen graham, god bless and building this hospital in central park, the javits center, 3,000 beds, we've got this ship behind me, that's 1,000 beds, three other hospitals that president trump is working on just in this area and 100 nationwide and the army corps of engineers building in record time. how is it in the middle of this, they still can't stop their obsessive-compulsive destroy and hate drop mentality. i don't get it. >> they've been doing it so long they just don't know any better. just a few months ago, saying he needs to impeach for a phone call. you and i've been talking about it for a while but it really shows the priorities. president trump as a people priority while nancy pelosi is the pied piper of liberal ideas. that's all she's been doing. she found an opening when they were negotiating last minute saying this is not enough, we are not getting enough, we want to have our special projects
6:36 pm
while the president was meeting every day talking to reporters, making sure and she was behind closed doors saying how can we get things passed that we can't run through congress much less signing a law and we will force it, coerce the american people while this is on the floor and try to get what we have. when you've been doing this a long time, she knows nothing else right now. she only knows get rid of this president even if it means people are right now having to wait on aid that could have went a lot sooner. in >> sean: i'd say that 90%, this virus doesn't discriminate. republican, democrat, conservative, liberal. thank you both for what you're doing. on the medical front, dr. oz says new york city is a war zone. we are going to ask him what he meant and a possible treatment while we try to get the vaccine. he'll update us with the very latest medical information straight ahead.
6:37 pm
6:38 pm
6:39 pm
6:40 pm
6:41 pm
>> sean: broadcasting live from new york city along the hudson river where earlier tod today, the u.s. comfort is docked. the 1,000 fed navy hospital arrived earlier today. here now to take us inside, it's amazing, 12 operating rooms, incredible as their commanding officer back with us. unbelievable. you're going to show the video of it. >> good evening. i love to tell you about it. was built in the late 1980s to support major combat operations taking on wounded soldiers. and what we are doing is
6:42 pm
providing support by taking patients that are noncovid-1 co9 aboard to decompress some of the hospitals in the new york city area. >> sean: we are showing different areas of this, so you can take 1,000 patients in here, do operations in here, how many pharmacies you got in there, what can it do if you were in a regular hospital? we can maybe take the other shot of this, it is so big, it is so long, it's like a city block. to see it in person is like a medical marvel. >> it is, yes. we have a pharmacy, lab capabilities, four radiology suites, a scanner on board the ship. we also have many icu beds, ventilator capability, we have our own galley which can serve thousands of meals per day to provide support to the crew as
6:43 pm
well as our patient population. it's enormous. >> sean: unbelievable. please send our regards, please think everybody there for what they do every day and you are taking us so much pressure off the hospital system in new york by being here and we really appreciate what you're doing. now we turn to the latest medical news in the battle against coronavirus and this pandemic, dr. osborne this morning on fox & friends that new york city is a war zone. he added the rest of america better take cautions but hope may be on the horizon. and we will soon know because the fda gave emergency authorization. now doctors can prescribe hydroxychloroquine for the coronavirus along with azithromycin. here now was met with dr. ros. i wanted to say something that i know because you have literally been working around the clock talking to every country,
6:44 pm
patients that have used hydroxychloroquine, and azithromycin. how hopeful are you? >> we need the clinical trials as you emphasize but i spoke to the french position, the iconic infectious disease doctor he got the idea from the chinese who have made a part of their routine strategies and their guidelines for managing covid-19. but what it was over the weekend when shared with me and subsequently published, and 80 patient summary, 80 people who got both those drugs and there are three basic things you can look for. did not have complications related to the drugs. did reduce infectivity. almost all the patients were no longer infectious which is really important because that means you can transfer them out of the infected areas into the general ward which he did in his
6:45 pm
hospital and that's huge for a patient flow in a hospital. a lot more people obviously and protective gear and set about and your family can visit you in a finally, work? one died, one still in the icu because still publishing the data. that result is significantly better, meaningfully better than what you would've expected. without the randomized aid, you just can't help, but i think the fda did the right thing when they decided to allow physicians in this country to use this medication while we are trying to figure out what these clinical trials are doing. will take some time, why put patients through turmoil that seems to be safe. it's prescribed by a doctor and used appropriately. >> sean: that is 79 out of 80. we have an 1100 patient clinical study on going now in new york as we speak. we might be getting results fairly quickly. or at least limitary numbers,
6:46 pm
the main question that i think it's key and i've asked you this question, if it was a family member or someone you love and carry about for yourself, everything i've read -- and i'm not a doctor, and i'm not going to play one on tv, but i would absolutely immediately use it based on all that i have read and we have shared a lot of data and i appreciate it. >> would say the same, and their patients all the time, success stories, the ones that wouldn't. is not a panacea, not going to work for everybody and we don't know if it's that much more effective than standard care but the people that use it sometimes could change things pretty dramatically. but we are in a war zone in new york as i mentioned this morning. there is a battlefield, field hospitals that you're talking about, brilliant rapidly built and deployed facilities are a huge help but they are field hospitals. sso you have to reward leadershp
6:47 pm
and that's a major plea that i have right now to all of america, be a leader. we need leaders through wartime. in the city of new york and i'm covering this tomorrow on the show, we have these emergency rooms filled with patients who are intubated. emergency rooms, not the icu. is deathly quiet and i'm going to show you cadavers because there's no room left in the cooling area. is this the kind of extreme position we are in? as a cautionary tale. we are smart people, we did our best, we were too late. as much as we tried to do with the right way, we missed the clues, so don't go for the bait. you're early, chicago, detroit, los angeles, these are important lessons that take advantage of

television msdn c. >> in order to avoid those very high numbers, we have to do several things. one, we have to depend on what the president's to do right now and the first of all, he has to wait until the cases before anything happens. the whole idea is is got to get in place things that were shortages. i suggested that we should have people in china at the outset of this event, and when it all started in wuhan province. >> sean: let me read my notes. in didn't replenish it after each one and one and it is not the wuhan province. the stream of incoherence is just normal leading to an enthusiasm gap among democrats. look at this, a new abc "washington post" pullback shows

enthusiasm for joe as lowest on record for a presidential candidate in here now with reaction, mike huckabee and katie pavlich. governor, i look at this, are they really going to run this guy? >> looks like they are. it's an amazing thing. i had a conversation this afternoon with my 3-year-old grandson and he made a lot more sense than joe does. i don't even know what he's talking about and it's apparent he doesn't either. he struggles with that but i think the democrats are stuck with him. they don't have a mechanism to get him out unless they decided somehow just to talk him into quitting for to tell him that he already won the presidency and had a great eight years and they appreciate it, give him a plaque at the convention and nominate somebody else. that may be their only hope. >> sean: i look at this, he is against the travel ban. he still is against the travel ban. that one decision saved us, it would be so much worse. i don't get it.

>> right. here's the positive for joe biden on top of being unable to put a coherent sentence together in a time of crisis and communicate to the american people what specifically would be his plan as the commander in chief. when it comes to his party, he has to satisfy the far left and also have to get back to voters that president trump took away from democrats. the far left wants open borders, the accused the president of xenophobia. they don't believe in borders and it is impossible to stop the pandemic when you believe in open borders without any kind of venting about who was coming in and out. that's the first problem, but the second problem is elections are all about contracts and president trump is out there every single day communicating clearly about what he's going to do talking to the american people and joe biden isn't doing that despite his best efforts. >> sean: listen, cuomo and
