putting a million ethnic minorities in a concentration camp was the same as what fdr did to the japanese in the second world war, as if the united states and the communist chinese government are morally the same -- they are not. that went on from there, if you missed it, check it out. it's 9:00 p.m. eastern, time for the great sean hannity. >> sean: listen, you know what? i love the upbeat message and i love when you stay with your family and friends and stay close, great job. good message. welcome to "hannity," we have never before, ever seen this level of mass madness, rage, insanity, hysteria, psychosis, and it's the same predictable people, top democrats, their willing allies, their state run tv, the media mob -- they will t give your president credit for absolutely nothing, even in the

middle of a pandemic. not the travel ban, i think everyone needs to answer the question. in retrospect, was at a good choice by the president? that saved untold thousands of americans from immeasurable suffering, and also death. the historic medical mobilization, we watched the largest, fastest medical mobilization in the history of mankind unfold in four weeks right before our eyes. not the millions of supplies the president was sending all over the country, not for the thousands of hospital beds, nearly 30,000 the federal government created, army corps of engineers and the staff in new york and not for the massive reduction in the death prediction models from 2.2 million. they give this president credit for absolutely, positively nothing. instead they accuse him of murder and yours truly, they
6:02 pm
accused trump supporter's of murder, they even accuse me and it's insane because they live. anyone democrats don't like is now guilty of murder, that's how bad it's gotten. today this kind of malicious, lying slander continued on the house floor in the middle of a national emergency, in the middle of a pandemic, their sick, psychotic angry vitriol, it doesn't miss a beat, we've got the videotape. >> workers right now cannot afford for us to stand by for politics. leader mcconnell said to our cities and states, to our cops and firemen and teachers, he told them to drop dead. why don't we put politics aside, rise up and put the country first? >> sean: as you can see the house, they are finally back in session after having been embarrassed again and again, voting to refill the coffers of
6:03 pm
the paycheck protection program, that critical plan is helping workers, businesses, hospitals, people ravaged by a pandemic continuing to pay their employees. millions of americans, they don't qualify for this program. in so many americans, hardworking americans, they have worked around the clock, they are not reopening because they never closed. farmers farmed, truckers truck, packers packed, pharmacies continue to get the medicines to stores in need -- in new york, long island, we are in the epicenter. i go shopping every single weekend and the store shelves were full every single weekend, every weekend, the guys that put the food on the shelves were working with their gloves and their mass, they never stopped working. if it wasn't for these workers and even in new york and the ones that were manufacturing the medical equipment -- new york,
6:04 pm
long island would have starved to death. they stock the shelves, they risk their lives too. thousands of restaurants, bars, small businesses across the country struggling like never before. they need the paycheck protection plan to hold onto their employees come and stay afloat but more importantly they are saying they want to go back to work safely, we need to make that happen. pelosi has been holding this money hostage again for a week gaining whatever kind of selfish political leverage she can get out of this. she let the program completely run out of money. workers went without checks, hospitals didn't have the money they needed. nancy pelosi all smiles a few days ago, she's on late night comedy shows, $40,000 freezer, design or pints of ice cream, collection of gourmet ice cream that she stores in dual $24,000 freezers -- sick. take a look. >> i congratulate the senate
6:05 pm
democrats. >> what are you going to share with us from your home? >> candy. >> thousands have been forced to wait at ours at food banks all across the country. >> we have other chocolate here. >> sean: today after looking like a complete and total idiot for two plus weeks hiding out in a multi-million-dollar mansion with her hoarding of designer gourmet ice cream, she finally gave men that went back to washington probably on a private jet, ppp was refilled and as one of the democratic colleagues pointed out, they lost all political leverage. wow in the middle of a national emergency, that's where their mind is at but not before pelosi pulled out her bandanna and proceeded to wipe her nose on the podium ignoring those social distancing guidelines at the capital. i guess the rules don't matter for her. nothing comes before politics, not even a mask or proper
6:06 pm
hygiene -- she has been one of the most repulsive people in this entire pandemic. to top it off, pelosi and company are blaming republicans for letting me ppp money run o out. she's in san francisco clinging to her gourmet ice cream and her freezers in her multimillion dollar mansion, never missing a moment to grandstand and you also have congressman ocasio-cortez ripping off her mask and screaming into the microphone that republicans only care about ruth's chris steak house and shake shack. the money that they are getting would be to give to their employees so they don't get fired, otherwise they're not going to have any money to pay them, take a look. >> it's a joke when republicans say the urgency around this bill, the only folks they have urgency around our folks like ruth's chris steak house and shake shack, those of the people getting assistance in this bill. you're not trying to fix this
6:07 pm
bill for mom and pop and we have to fight the fun hospitals, fighting to fund testing, that is what we are fighting for in this bill, it's unconscionable. if you had urgency you would legislate. >> sean: the world is going to end in ten years and 12 years and were not going to have any more oil and gas and every other dumb thing that she has said. let's celebrate all those people who work in the energy industry are going to lose their jobs, she deleted that tweet. for many democrats, this coronavirus is another opportunity, we told you this in the beginning. exploit the system and political gain, clyburn calling it an opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision. we told you last night joe biden saying i'm excited because we can do these things now -- because of the virus? andrew yang, ocasio-cortez those pushing for universal basic income, some people saying don't go back to work.
6:08 pm
bernie sanders demanding medicare for all, pelosi holding up the original stimulus package over wind and solar power credits, multiple democrats trying to open our borders, they want to rig our election system and withhold aid from workers and hospitals and a small business, they are even hinting at a socialist revolution. what we are witnessing for many of these vultures and that's what they were and are on capitol hill is not leadership. the way they have conducted themselves is a disgrace, rampant hypocrisy -- remember that lady right there, the one that is wiping all that stuff on the podium. visited the crowded streets of san francisco, chinatown february 24th, come on down to chinatown, it's safe and sound. rated vice. comrade de blasio, the dumbest guy in politics encouraging people to go out on the town, in march, catch up later.
6:09 pm
governor cuomo claiming the disease would not be as bad in other countries, over their fake news cnn, that would be humpty dumpty's network. anderson cooper said we should more concerned about the flu than coronavirus, we are going to get lectured from them? today liberal morning joe took the cake, accusing the president of killing 50,000 americans. what you won't do for your career, take a look. >> you got a president who said "this is going to magically go away, we only have 15 people it's down to zero" when will these people learn? this is not breaking news. how could the president not learn from his mistakes? even navarro warned him 500,000 people -- the president ignored it, he didn't prepare. 50,000 people are dead now because of it, right? >> sean: okay, joe.
6:10 pm
when you think it can't get any worse you have another liberal hack over there, the conspiracy channel msdnc accusing the president of collaborating with the coronavirus, they said it. >> leadership in washington that seems at times to be collaborating with the virus. i compared trump who is called himself a wartime president to the french general who was in charge when the nazis invaded -- it's a harsh comparison but at times he seems to be collaborating with the virus. >> sean: these idiots are obsessing about russia and this president was way ahead of the curve taking bold steps to save america. liberal joe, who staffed the emergency hospitals in new york,
6:11 pm
who built the hospitals in new york, who sent the hospital ship and staff that, who directed the creation of the javits center, the largest hospital in the country? liberal joe -- you failed at everything you've done, you went up against us, you flopped, you're flopping in the morning, you're getting your kicked by fox & friends, but to order these facilities to be converted into covid units when they weren't originally supposed to be? who sent the mask of the ventilators, the gloves, the grounds that new york should have prepared for but they didn't. spoiler alert, it wasn't de blasio, and the rest of you. because of the travel ban, the medical mobilization, the largest and fastest in our history, because of project air bridge, because of the defense production act, because some americans never closed down, america went all in and what
6:12 pm
could have been 2.2 million or may be more -- guess what? we are saving lives, thank god above, thank you. every life is precious, this is about death. death, hospitalizations, millions lower than initial projections had we not done this. the president did it, new york and no city had any preparation ready for anything? they were ill-prepared and given the worst advice in march. according to the mob, the president deserves no credit at all. here from the trump organization, he knows the president pretty well, he grew up with him, donald trump jr. >> i'm doing well, how about yourself? >> sean: i used to say if your dad cured cancer they wouldn't give him credit. now i think i've been kind of proven right because there's never been a medical mobilization like that, they can't admit anything that he's done well. new york would be dead without donald trump's help, period.
6:13 pm
>> i agree and the revisionist history on everything as you pointed out so well is well is insane. the same people are saying he didn't act or the same people are saying he stopped the flights from wuhan china, stopping the flights from the epicenter of this outbreak, they said it was too aggressive, it was xenophobic, it was racist that it was too much. the fact that they are able to do this, they had statistics, 2 million americans were going to die. we are at one 40th of that, not one of those is acceptable but that's a pretty good response considering what they said we were up against and it's because he's gotten things done. he's worked well with the team who have acted aggressively, with made up decisions like shutting down travel from another country when everyone said it was xenophobic and racist. everything is racist that donald trump does, that's all they have left on the other si side.
6:14 pm
it's disgusting watching the same people who were literally outraged two months ago about the actions that he took, the calls to prevent the spread coming into this country, now they are outraged and they're able to spin this revisionist history as though it's fact. it's a new low for the media and they have a lot of lows in the last four years. >> sean: i have asked your dad in an interview why with ten days after the first case identified in the country -- he took a lot of to that. >> it wasn't an easy decision to make. >> sean: pretty insightful. the person who won the country the most about china was your father, the person who warned the most about boarders was your father, you think there will be issues and 194 days? >> if there's one thing that the coronavirus has taught us it's that donald trump and his agenda
6:15 pm
in 2016 was 100% right. we do need to control our supply chains, we do need to have american manufacturing so the chinese can do what they did and basically say you're not buying into war propaganda, our talking points, you're criticizing us for allowing this plague to spread the way it did? we may cut off the antibiotics that are designed made by your company's but we control them, so you're not getting them. we can't allow that to happen. look how quick mexico shut down the border to the u.s. -- they said it can actually be done. if there's one thing this has shown us it's that donald trump was right all along. he's the guy that got it and saw that, he also built the greatest economy america has ever known, he's the guy that can make america great again again once we get through this.
6:16 pm
hunter biden's son took 1.5 million from the chinese and he's on the record saying china is our friend. >> sean: i have secretary pompeo standing by but socially distant donald trump jr., you're doing good. all the best. two nights at the center of coronavirus continuing to show signs of improvement, we won't be happy until there are zero deaths but the number of hospitalized patients down for ten days in a row, into patients decreased, the death rate is at the lowest point in a month, this comes as antibody testing now underway in new york, according to the first statewide research, it might change some of the numbers are interesting. they now believe as per new york and the governor and others that nearly 14% of the population in new york has been infected with the coronavirus, and infection rate that high.
6:17 pm
new york city, 21% of those tested had antibodies for this virus which means that if those numbers hold and are accurate, the coronavirus death rate in new york would be 0.58%. at some points they were saying it might be as high as three or 4%. here to weigh in, on dr. oz. i want america to understand this because i've got to be friends with him and know him, he is up 24 hours a day looking for the best treatment as he says, the army we have, not the ones we wish we had and involved in personal cases and doing shows -- this is your calling. god made you for this and i applaud you and your commitment to all of this. thank you for what you do. >> your very kind to say that. i was interested in this study because there have been antibody studies in the past and i have
6:18 pm
to hand it to howard zucker's health commissioner, they work together to get the most accurate antibody test results they could. he stood outside of big-box stores and they got 3,000 new york state residents to allow them to take some blood and run these antibody tests. it's a different from figuring out if you're infected, it's figuring out if you were infected sometime in the past, you don't know when. specifically they identified there were ten times more people who have been infected and have tested positive -- confirmed for covid-19. that's an important point. that's less than they saw in the california study but they think it's pretty accurate. i want to emphasize a few things, new york city's putting out 21%, part of the reason is this illness almost certainly started earlier in new york, we have evidence that may have happened in the beginning of february come february, long island was 17, westchester was 12% but the rest of the
6:19 pm
state was only 4%. within new york state you have a biopsy of the entire country, rural areas, urban areas -- i want to emphasize two things. it doesn't mean you can go back to work if you have antibodies because we don't know the duration, how long you would be safe and there are some reports about reinfection. the other question is why is it you have these people, ten times more who either didn't have a lot of symptoms, didn't know they had symptoms or had no symptoms. what is the difference? another breaking news piece, northwell a big hospital in new york shared their results and they found 88% of the patients that got admitted to the hospital had at least two comorbid conditions, high blood pressure, diabetes, elevated body mass index in other words overweight. the wake-up call might be let's make sure we focus on folks who have these comorbidity and makes it or not getting sick and maybe help them get past these
6:20 pm
comorbidity because of your at home watching right now, that better be your most patriotic move, get your diabetes in control, work with your doc on this stuff, that might be a way to change your natural history, god forbid you get covid-19. >> sean: thanks for your commitment to what you do. you personally are helping people stay healthy, great advice. we turn now to the country of china, their despicable communist dictatorship facing worldwide condemnation over its constant and deadly stream of lies, we've been telling you all about it. your secretary of state mike pompeo. i wrote a book, deliver us from evil and 2,004, talked about over 100 million people killed in the last century alone and i look at this -- when they stopped travel from wuhan to the rest of china but they left it
6:21 pm
opened internationally and they scooped up the protective gear and protected the virus and lied to the world, all of these people dying when you said to me you would have helped them, i am so angry, words cannot describe my anger. >> that's appropriate that you're angry, i think many of us are angry and the president feels the same way. china caused an enormous amount of pain and a challenge to the economy. you should know we still don't have full transparency from the chinese communist party, we are concerned there are things we don't know and we haven't been able to get our team on the ground to do the work it needs to do. this is an ongoing challenge in the chinese communist party and the world health organization have failed to do the things they have responsibility to do when they have a pandemic inside their country. >> sean: now the question is how do we get them to make up
6:22 pm
for this? they do hold a lot of our debt -- i'm not involved in what you do, you're smarter than me and number one at west point. i will cede this territory to you. my feeling is, we shouldn't pay it back, maybe that's impossible. >> i am very confident that the chinese communist party will pay a price for what they did here, certainly from the united states. i don't know what form that will take, or focus today isn't on that, it's on making sure we keep america safe and take down health risks, get this economy going back but i'm confident. i talked to business people around the country and ordinary citizens, people who put their lives at risk over the last weeks, they know this is a result of the virus that originated in wuhan china and they know the chinese government didn't do the things that needed to do. there will be a cost associated with that, the stomach we need to focus on here and now and make sure we are dependent on
6:23 pm
china for our pharmaceutical goods and all the things we have seen that we didn't have right that president trump identified early on as things we needed to fix the relationship between the united states and china. >> sean: you probably can't answer this so i won't waste a lot of time on it, private conversations, how direct are you in the president being with china? >> very direct, they know precisely what it is that we've observed, they know what we've asked them to do to try and make sure we don't have an ongoing problem. remember, there are multiple virus labs inside of china, we need to understand what's going on in all of those. the one in wuhan and elsewhere too, we have to make sure we don't have this problem yet again coming from china. it's a very dangerous situation and we've made clear our expectations. >> sean: any update on iran and these ships, these boats wreaking havoc, the president
6:24 pm
laid out his order very clearly. >> this administration behaves different from the previous one, you recall when they took our navy sailors and secretary kerry apologized to get them back. this president has taken a completely different approach, he's told the iranian regime we aren't going to permit this, we are going to defend our sailors and airmen and marines, i think the iranians understand that as well. >> sean: any update on kim jong un that you can share? >> i appreciate the question, i don't have anything i could share with you tonight with the american people should know we are watching the situation keenly. >> sean: we always appreciate you, have a great evening. when we come back, the president called out the media -- why? because they are so soft on the ever confused, confounded, poor joe. lindsey graham has a message for joe next. with progressive. wow, that's...

6:29 pm
three days later and agreeing with trump then, a little late. he's consistently been soft on beijing and soft on america's foes. the president was asked about biden earlier tonight a at his daily briefing, is what he said. >> i can't tell you about the election. you have a democrat party and a large portion of the media automatically giving the guy a pass, he's been given a pass. whether or not he's going to be the nominee, i have no idea. he's getting a pass and the media isn't covering what a great job we've done. >> sean: if the dog bites, the bee stings, you're feeling sad, just blame donald trump. remember obama's own defense secretary robert gates said biden has been wrong on almost every major foreign policy decision in recent memory.

zero experience some hunter, he rode on air force two, went to asia, came back with a billion-dollar deal -- no qualifications we see with the bank of china. more developments in our quest for equal justice. staff said john brennan buried evidence that vladimir putin favorite hillary in 2016, one thing "the new york times" got late was russian dudes information from the beginning. if the fbi warned multiple times that michael steele was being used to spread russian disinformation, let's forget about julian assange and bring that guy to america. here with reaction, apparently he deleted his emails like hillary -- lindsey graham is with us, how are you? >> good, thank you very much for

6:32 pm
against china. joe biden has been wrong across the board on things that really matter, so we're going to have a comparison and contrast campaign about joe biden's judgment over time versus that of president trump's judgment over time. the caliphate came about because joe biden advise president obama we need to get out of iraq. he went to ceremony when we left, without joe biden, there would be no isis, and without donald trump the caliphate would be done i exist, joe biden opposed killing qasem soleimani. i can't wait to compare and contrast the judgment of president trump against that of vice president biden on foreign policy, this will be a knockout, this will be over in round one drown on the debate stage. >> sean: i see all of that, now we have to get to the issue of reopening the country.
6:33 pm
we keep talking about reopening, i'm in the epicenter of this thing. new york city, long island, i'm in both places. every time i go to a grocery store, they are packed. the guys stocking the shelves are there and i talked to one guy two weeks ago and i said please put your mask on, thanks for all you're doing, he didn't have his mask on, i said you got to, put it on. he did, probably sick of wearing it like everybody. the point is, new york would starve if people didn't work. those guys stocking the shelves, they are on the front lines, all the health workers of the heroes of all of this come all the manufacturers that stayed open too, they are supplying the medical supplies that saved new york, new york wasn't prepared for anything. >> donald trump saved new york's
6:34 pm
ass. they are now the king of ventilators, he sent a ship -- andrew cuomo did a good job but he would be the first one to tell you honestly that donald trump was there every time new york needed donald trump to be there. the governor of california said that donald trump has been on the phone every time i needed him to be on the phone. we are going to have a contest about donald trump's performance with the virus. he's made consistently good decisions, he shut down travel from china. >> sean: if these guys stocking the shelves stayed open, the epicenter of this thing in the middle of all of this, how come we can't -- if we kept them safe, why can't we open everything safely? the path of new york city workers home, give everyone a temperature check, put masks on

>> sean: now another 4.4 million americans filing for unemployment last week as the coronavirus lockdown continued to cause economic devastation all across the country. also developing tonight, harvard, other major colleges as the president said they would, they were turning their taxpayer relief funds following a huge backlash that in their massive endowments, $40 billion. here to explain that, the cohost of outnumbered -- she does a lot of shows. melissa francis is with us. one really smart business friend of mine said some of these companies -- even though they are big companies they wouldn't be paying these employees but that's how the money is going to be earmarked, they wouldn't be paying it otherwise. the second thing they said it is you have no idea the fiduciary responsibility if they don't take it. does that make sense?
6:41 pm
>> that may be the case of the companies but i would say look at the statement that harvard made about this and remember it's the cares act, not the same as paycheck protection that is supposed to protect workers that would be losing their salaries, this had to do with students. if you look at what they said they never sought nor received these funds. wait a second, that's exactly like everyone at home who got a paycheck from the irs whatever that was, a check from the irs -- you didn't fill out paperwork and ask for it if you qualified it showed up at your bank account by direct deposit. that's how the legislation was written, they never sought it, they haven't received it yet but full disclosure, i went to harvard and i will tell you if that check showed up, they would have cashed it. all of this hoopla came up before that so they never cashed it. it's the fault of the idiot legislators that didn't put an

i think there's a way -- >> sean: open and open safely. we are the united states of america, we can do this. praying for your state. when we come back the search for joe biden's running mate playing out on tv, karl rove has some great insights. if that's next and his whiteboard straight ahead
6:48 pm
yes. the first word to any adventure. but when allergies and congestion strike, take allegra-d... a non-drowsy antihistamine plus a powerful decongestant. so you can always say "yes" to putting your true colors on display. say "yes" to allegra-d.

to putting your true colors this virus is testing all of us. and it's testing the people on the front lines of this fight most of all. so abbott is getting new tests into their hands, delivering the critical results they need. and until this fight is over, we...will...never...quit.
6:52 pm
because they never quit. >> sean: stacy abrams of sharing her thoughts on what type of person joe biden, the ever forgetful one needs to name as his running mate, take a lo look. >> i think vice president biden is going to make a smart choice and i appreciate the fact he has lifted up women and being a necessary partner on this. i would share your concern about not picking a woman of color because women of color, particularly black women are the strongest part of the democratic party. >> sean: joe says he will select a vp by may 1st, here now with reaction, the architect karl rove. i guess that's identity
6:53 pm
politics, fine, that's a democratic party -- how does this play out? >> i think the statement effectively killed stacy abrams as a choice, if he picks her he's picking a lot of trouble. the day before she had said she would make an excellent vice president for joe biden and would love to run with him but today she basically said unless he picks a person of color, he's not going to be meeting my standard. that presages a pretty rocky relationship if he were to pick her up. a lot of these candidates, potential candidates for vice president have something in common, that is they have never been vetted on a national stage. let's take it stacy abrams. when she ran for governor of georgia in 2018, she hadn't revealed that she owed $228,000 in debt, including unpaid taxes from 2015 and 2016, credit cards, she ran up her credit cards, $77,522.96000 from her college education, despite the

fact she was a state legislator making a salary from that, she was a yale trained lawyer and therefore had a good practice i suspect and she also has a habit of forming nonprofit groups and having them hire her. from 2013 to 2016, she had two groups called the third sector development and voter access initiative, she raised $12.5 million, she paid herself a half a million dollars. she's a legislator getting a salary, she's a lawyer, she's an author. she writes racy novels she's getting paid paid half a million dollars and all the purpose of that was to lay a foundation to run for governor and now she's got a new one called fair vote 2020 and we don't know who the contributors are and how much she's paying herself? >> sean: the constant rumors, does joe get replaced, does michelle obama get picked, you got 20 seconds. >> i think the idea of michelle obama, it's not ever
6:55 pm
going to. he doesn't get replaced, he's the democratic nominee -- they may not like him, but he's going to be their guy. i want to thank you for the whiteboard, it finally showed up but i got to tell you, i'm not sure if it's really very serio serious. hello kitty? >> sean: he is a member of the media right there. i got to take a break, when we come back we have a big announcement, straight ahead.
