>> tucker: that's about it for this hour. boy, it went quick. things usually do. have the best night, hopefully with the ones that you love. sean hannity stands by in new york city. let the great hannity desk sweep you around here. >> sean: wears that one? who is that? >> tucker: all right, thank you. >> tucker: thank you. >> sean: welcome to "hannity." we start tonight, fox news alert, supreme court justice ruth bader ginsburg has been hospitalized apparently with an infection. trace gallagher joins us with a full report coming up. plus, the crisis and liberal cities and states all across the country. what we have are highly taxed, highly regulated blue states and they would like the rest of america to pay for all there, let's see, debts, deficits and all the unfunded pension that they already pay for themselves and their own. here's the rule, wasteful spending, noncovid relief has to
6:01 pm
be a nonstarter. the people of the states, they elected these big tax and spend politicians. the rest of the country did not, nor should they bail out, welcome of the people in these blue states for their stupidity. covid-19 relief only. workers, small businesses, look for everybody else. also tonight come americans are now revolting in major ways against what a local draconian, frankly sometimes insane, laws and restrictions. we will tell you all of them, it will make your head spin. the media mob, some democrats seem to be rooting for the shutdown to go on forever. we all know how to open it open safely. we've learned a lot, and we will, and we have two. by the way, excuse me, other covid-19 models have been so wrong in every single imaginable way. it's a national disgrace. we have a full on "hannity" investigational coming up tonight. and later we will call out elizabeth warren, the latest pathetic me too hypocrisy.
6:02 pm
i believe her, no, i'm not a believer. plus bombshell new developments from the sexual misconduct scandal that is rocking nbc, and where is director ray, and what is he doing to hold those few bad actors at the highest echelons, seventh floor fbi responsible? spoiler alert, you're not going to like the answer. but first we do have more breaking news tonight, what is a truly disgusting, dishonest letter that we have just obtained at fox news. the office of the former president barack obama, well, they blasted a congressional investigation into biden's dealing with ukraine. wonder why. now the office actually accused the investigation, giving credence to a russian disinformation campaign, and this ridiculous letter insinuated lawmakers were just spreading russian propaganda. this is all a liar, when obama put out tonight. in reality it was obama. it was his administration. it was biden. they are the ones that spent months and months propagating
6:03 pm
the russian disinformation campaign. barack, did you ever hear of the dirty russian dossier that hillary clinton paid for? of course you have, because members of your administration, they used that unreliable clinton, bought and paid for, russian misinformation from the get-go filled with russian lies. why? to deny carter right his civil liberties and civil rights because your people were spying, meaning jim comey and company, on these trump campaign deep into the trump presidency. that would be under your watch, your guy, jim comey and company. that same russian dossier was used to commit fraud on fisa applications, premeditated fraud. by the way, what about the unusual email that susan rice sent herself in the final hours of inauguration day of donald trump? you know, the one where she stressed that president obama wanted everything to be done by
6:04 pm
the book? but she was memorializing a meeting in the oval office. barack obama was there, biden was there. weeks earlier. well, why did she send note to herself on the way out the door? and what did obama know, and when did he know it? what did biden know and when did he know it? what did susan rice know and when did she know it. by the way, did he engage in an illicit quid pro quo, barack? you saw the tape bragging about it, even saying the quid pro quo was backed up by you, the president. in other words, you knew when you are supporting not getting a belly and unless he fired the prosecutor paying my zero experience son millions. he said you knew in that tape. ultimately, if president obama was so concerned about russian collusion, then he would've listened to congressman devin nunes because congressman devin nunes warned obama that in 2014 russia would be playing around in their elections as they have in the past. he wouldn't have dismissed mitt romney's morning in 2012
6:05 pm
either, and by the way, tell vladimir i will have more flexibility after the election. well, barack, what flexibility were you hiding from we, the people? we would like answers. we will have much more on this later in the show. now we turn to another top story. that is the imperative reopening of this country in a safe way that is also urgent. it's time to get moving. take a look. >> our country wants to open. the governors, it's in their hands, but our country wants to open. and you see what's going on. they have to open. and the people of our country should think of themselves as warriors. our country has to open. >> sean: president trump is right. the pandemic is far from over appeared american, they are not going to cower in fear. i think we see, the american people have assessed the danger, they've looked at what we've learned and we've learned a lot. and probably the biggest lesson coming from the great state of
6:06 pm
florida and that would be governor ron desantis, who did the best job -- almost the best job, there were a couple other governors -- in the country. he protected the elderly, the sick, and the vulnerable. in other words, the opposite of what new york, and connecticut, and michigan dead. it's time to get our country back to work. let's take a look. >> our country has to go back to being our country again. you have people that are not going to stand for this, and i understand them very well. speak of the university of washington saying we could have 135,000 americans dead by august. what do you make of those numbers, mr. president? >> a couple of things. first of all, these models have been so wrong from day one. both on the low side in the upside. they've been so wrong. they've been so out of whack. and they keep making new models, new models, and they are wrong. those models you're mentioning are without medication. well, we are mitigating, and we've learned to mitigate, but we've learned to work and work
6:07 pm
in place and also mitigate. >> sean: the travel ban, january 31st, 10 days after the first known coronavirus case in america. wow. the president didn't do that, it would have been exponentially worse on every level. let's face it, all these models have been dead wrong. and decisions were made based on bad models on both sides. in the past few weeks we have seen the suppose it scientific models, they get revised down and up and up and down. remember, the initial death projections were over 2.2 million americans. way off base, but the president's travel ban no denying, and quarantine, and subsequent travel ban saved incalculable numbers of lives in this country. his historic medical mobilization led by the president also saved this country from untold amounts of suffering. look at your screen. no country has tested more than the united states of america, and as you can see, it is not
6:08 pm
even close. now, this kind of progress on testing was almost unthinkable just two months ago. ultimately, the doom and gloom predictions thankfully never came true. worst-case scenario never happened, in large part because of that hysterical, racist, xenophobic fearmongering travel ban of the president ten days after the first case. for some reason, the rhetoric on the left gets more and more hysterical. they were busy impeaching the president. someone over there at fake news cnn actually suggesting that going outside, getting fresh air is a betrayal to health care workers. these people over there at fake news are nuts. take a look. speak of the president seems to be saying that it's safe to go to the parks in the beaches. does that argument make any sense to you? >> no, and i think in some ways it really betrays the really hundreds of thousands of people in the united states who work in hospitals day and night to try
6:09 pm
to save lives. >> this is coming from the top, and it's incredibly disruptive. everyone in medicine knows this. >> sean: socially distant, wearing masks. sorry, you guys are nuts. and i bet none of you supported the travel ban either. now while the mob and the media, they are apparently rooting for an indefinite shutdown, the american people, they know better. they are fighting back. this is not mission accomplished, not until, as the president said, it's completely stopped. still, we are now working on getting the country back to work and back to work safely. same time, preventing predictable new hot spots from emerging and counting on them when and if they do. now americans must do what we do best. that is create, innovate, and work like hell to rebuild the country. make no mistake, this kind of exceptionalism is not derived from big government. if that was the case, let's see, the former soviet union would've been the best place on earth to live, or venezuela. tough choices will be made,
6:10 pm
precautions if necessary, but it's interim, won't last forever. many people are struggling. look at this one dallas salon owner who was given seven days in jail for reopening too soon. the judge told her she could avoid punishment if she apologizes for her actions. she refused. good for her. because feeding her kids was more important. and it's interesting how creative people are when they are opening. plexiglass, masks, social distancing, they're doing it all. they learned. america learned. this is why we can reopen and do it safely. like the state of florida did. now the state of new york and not the state of michigan. millions of americans across the country are experiencing a lot of hardship. another example out in california, their tourism industry could lose, well, as much as $72 billion. by the way, that is not the people of tennessee's responsibility. in michigan, almost every business is suffering because of dozens of insane authoritarian

measures from their left-wing governor, touted to be biden, the ever forgetful once vice presidential running mate. pursuant to an executive order that recently expired, governor whitmer band, let's see, jet skis, motorboats, gun stores, shooting races, camping at campgrounds. she forced retailers to close their plant sections, she banned lawyers and realtors from leaving their homes, and she even banned law and garden services, car washes, show rooms for cars, and bicycle shops, and private construction. the list could go on and on. just dome, draconian, a lot of this, and she has done an awful job of trying to protect the people in her state. instead of focusing on her state's most vulnerable communities, focus on them, the elderly, nursing homes, she enacted broad measures for everyone. meanwhile, florida governor descent as did the exact opposite. in the numbers, they speak for themselves. by far, he did one of the best
6:12 pm
jobs in the country. look at your screen. well, numbers tell the whole story. fatality rate at florida's long-term care facilities drastically lower than michigan and obviously new york's numbers are the worst because they didn't use the 3,000 beds at the javits center that the president manned and built and converted to covid-19 patients. they use 1,000 of the 3,000 beds. they only use 182 beds at the hospital ship, the navy ship the comfort. 182. bill for 1,000, covid-19 converted. nope. march 25th, executive order. send all the covid-19 patients back into the long-term facilities, and oh, by the way, that is what 30% of the people of new york died. by the way, the fatality rate, new york's long-term facilities, 18%. florida, just over 1%. they have some of the largest -- and they have the largest elderly population in the country. governor descent's got it right.
6:13 pm
cuomo, governor whitmer, they all got it wrong. maybe just maybe it has something to do with governor cuomo is policy. nursing homes, admit and readmit patients who tested positive for coronavirus and i'm not responsible for your p/e. at one point it got so bad that they were reportedly sending elderly coronavirus patients to nursing homes in body bags. they did that all over the state. here with more in the new york disasters coronavirus response, our own trace gallagher. a trace, that one decision. why did they order the homes to take them? why did they also not use all the hospital beds manned, built by the president and covid converted? wouldn't have cost them a penny. and why did they let people who had covid-19 go back to nursing homes? >> sean, we've known from the start that nursing home residents were the most vulnerable, but new york state has now released some stunning new numbers that state an
6:14 pm
additional 1700 people in the states nursing homes have died. these fatalities are just not being disclosed because they apparently died of covid-19 cov9 before their infections were confirmed by lab tests. in total, more than 4800 people have died from coronavirus in new york nursing homes, and that could still be a vast undercount. in the meantime, in the span of 13 hours, two homeless men were found in a new york city public trains. on friday night, 57-year-old man was found slumped over on a train in the northern part of the city. early saturday morning, another man was found on the brooklyn train. both apparently died of natural causes, but it's raising concerns about the spread of covid-19 on public transportation, which is why, in three hours and 30 minutes, 1,000 new york city police officers will begin removing homeless people from the some sy system so cleaning crews can disinfect the trains from covid-19 germs.
6:15 pm
and breaking news, supreme court justice ruth bader ginsburg has just undergone a nonsurgical treatment for an infection caused by a gallstone. she will remain hospitalized in baltimore for a day or two, where she is said to be resting comfortably. more news on ruth bader ginsburg as we get a peer shown? >> sean: trace gallagher, everyone on the court says she is one of the nicest people. we wish her well tonight. we will continue to update our viewers on all of these stories. we have a lot more to get to tonight but also breaking, federal judge has just ordered that new york state democrats reinstated the democratic presidential primary. we will keep an eye on that. but first, now let's turn to house speaker nancy pelosi. she is still, well, absent from capitol hill, and maybe she doesn't want to come to work at this point. she is in her multimillion dollar mansion, gated community. maybe she should just take a pay cut, just like so many of her struggling constituents. now instead, nancy pelosi is actively trying to spend more of
6:16 pm
her hard-earned money to bail out all of her liberal friends and make the american taxpayers pay for that, illegal immigrants, sanctuary status, et cetera, et cetera. and the speaker wants a brand-new stimulus package that will give liberal states billions of your dollars, not for covid relief, not to help workers or small business -- and no, to balance their overblown budget. as a resident of new york, let me be clear: the federal government -- this will hurt me, i don't care. what's fair is fair. federal government, wherever you live, outside of new york, new jersey, illinois and california, you should not bail out these corrupt states. you should not. americans will more than happy -- they rose to the occasion. new york was bailed out by the rest of america. by the way, as somebody from new york, thank you. we of course would've been there for you. this is america. we say -- we stand up for our own people. that's it, we are one united country. but it's not your responsibility to pay for new york's insane,
6:17 pm
reckless spending, illegal immigrants, solar panel factories, 750 million, 600 million microchip factories, mothballed, both of them, and $90 million on light bulb ventures. it's not your job. meanwhile california governor gavin newsom is actually trying to get 75 million in tax dollars, your dollars, and california directly to illegal immigrants. judicial watch is now suing to block that program. mcconnell is very to put brakes on nancy pelosi's insane state bailouts. here with more is louisiana senator, our friend john kennedy. senator, listen, i'm speaking out against myself because i am unfortunately, i am tied to new york because of this job. otherwise, i would live there with you. you're in florida or in texas. but i'm here. it's going to cost money but what's fair is fair. new york, well, they like the dumbest people that spend all of the money in taxes to death. louisiana ends should not be forced to pay for that.
6:18 pm
>> no, we shouldn't. i think what the governor cuomo forgets is how much money we've given the states already. my state has received about $2.5 billion already. i don't know how many billions new york has received. that may not be as much as the governor wants, but it's not liberal either. our position on the republican side of the city is, look, we spent $3 trillion. a lot of that did go to state and local governments. that's a step, let's see how it works. once the economy starts to open up again, let's see what the revenues go up. there needs to be a shared sacrifice. states and cities are going to have to pair their budget, just like people have. now, speaker pelosi, she wants
6:19 pm
to spend it -- waste a trillion dollars. i wouldn't be surprised if she's working on a stimulus package for the murdering hornet. she has no concept of deficits. this is not louisiana dishwater we are spending. this is taxpayer money and we are going to have to pay it back and all we're saying saying is, let's go slowly and see what works and what doesn't work. >> sean: i think, senator, maybe she should leave that gated community and that beautiful mansion with all the ice cream and even the freezer, get on her private jet, make a big carbon footprint and get back to work like the rest of the country, and all the p/e, masks she needs, whatever, shall be taken care of like everyone else, but get to work. but they want to use this, their unfunded pensions, and their deficits, and their debt. all of these are high tax states
6:20 pm
that waste, fraud, and abuse. if it's not covid-19, my answer is no deal. under any circumstances. help workers, small businesses, health workers, and get the country back open. that's it. i think that's more than fair. >> i introduced a bill today to give the states more flexibility to spend the money that we've already given them, and we've already given them at least 200, $250 billion. but that doesn't mean the money should be wasted. it shouldn't be wasted on bailing out mismanaged pension plans. it shouldn't be spent on people who are in our country illegal illegally. i understand where governor governor newsom is coming from. he just thinks the border is a nuisance. he thinks that if you believe in immigration laws, you are a racist.
6:21 pm
i don't think that vetting people properly before they come into your country is racist. i think it's prudent in the world we live in. we shouldn't bail out that kind of nonsense. and i would point out again, we've already given the states an enormous amount of money. >> sean: a ton. by the way, can i point out, senator, and we always appreciate you coming on the program, by the looks of the background i would say you are in washington, d.c., is that true? >> i am i am. >> sean: your working? all buy ice cream. i will send it. the expensive kind. >> we are being smart, we are socially distancing, we are wearing masks. there is a way to save lives and save jobs -- >> sean: thank you, senator. >> and we are going to work toward that end. >> sean: we appreciate you working hard. thank you. we appreciate it. protecting her money as well. by the way, i'll pay the bill.
6:22 pm
i'm screwed, have to pay my taxes. trust me, they would throw me in jail in ten seconds in new york. here with more, with a governor desantis -- the president gets an a+ just on the travel ban. then, he saved new york, built the hospital's command of the hospitals, covid-19, the hospitals, masks, gowns, gloves, respirators, you get it. but you did the next best job, governor. you saw what happened in new york. march 26 directive, nursing homes, must take older, sick people with covid. what? how crazy is that? >> nursing homes are ground zero. if you look at the fatalities across the country and in places like florida, it's 60, 75% people 75 and over, so that is where the danger is, that is where we put a lot of resources in florida. tomorrow, and i think you and i have talked about, we are trying to get this done but tomorrow are going to be debuting the
