china. they don't really seem to want to know where this really happened. you hear the secretary of state speak and other people speak about china come you can't mention china or the lab in china, and it must be conspiracy theories and so forth. my question to you congressman, is this. do they hate donald trump more than they hate the communist regime in china which is in fact an exit stencil threat to this country. >> many do. there are some who fear their people, whether it's a member of congress fearing a liberal enraged base in their district that hates donald trump worse than anyone else abroad, and may be members of the media who are afraid that if they say something that is fair, that is not bias that even might be friendly and positive toward the president, that they will get roasted on twitter and other forms of social media. for some of the media outlets
8:49 pm
their business model has been one to be taken out donald trum trump. where if the gdp, for that quarter, was over 3% they will talk about michael cohen transcripts benefits under 3% then we'll talk about how the gdp numbers missed its mark. part of it is also a business model. i think you do have members coming up actual members of the media and some warm members of congress, who in their own heart, their own mind, their own approach to this, that they despise this president more so than any name you could throw at them abroad and it's shocking. for me, barack obama was my president, i didn't vote for him in 2008 or 2012, but i didn't think of boycotting his state of the union address. if he said something that i agreed with during a state of the union address, i will join my colleagues in being supportive and showing support, united as americans, but now what we are seeing
8:50 pm
which leads to many boycotting , some wanting to walk out, most wanting to sit on their seat while the president is talking about positive numbers that were going on before we started coronavirus because we had historically low unemployment, our markets were hitting historic highs, to celebrate america, but instead the speaker ripped up the speech at the end of it which, oh by the way, also included talking about the need to work together to fight coronavirus so, to answer your question, for some of my colleagues yes, for others i also think if they're looking at their own personal goals, their own selfish political pursuits and because their base reelected them, they want to make them happy by lighting their own hair on fire and trying to burn it down rather than trying to find ways to work with this president and move our country forward even though that's the best way for them to honor their oath.

>> it's amazing, almost two month ago the president of the united states was talking about how it's time to start looking at areas to reopen the economy and as experts came to him and said we need another 30 days. he gives it another 30 days, he comes back again and says we need to start opening the economy. tell me, don't these experts and democrats and media types trust the american people? don't they think we know how to wear masks and gloves and walk at the same time? don't they think we want to protect ourselves and our family as well as our businesses and our jobs? the idea that we need governors to tell us how to pray, where to pray, when to pray and so forth and so on to me is so appalling and i'm worried that some of these governors, blue state governors, but a couple red state governors to our getting awfully used to what i call these soft, ironfisted tactics which are getting less and less soft every day. they're not so willing to lift the boot off the throat of the economy and i'm wondering, in
8:52 pm
part, particularly the democrats in washington d.c. if they want to pin the president of the united states on the economy while in the states they are slowing things down. i'm not saying this is a conspiracy theory, i'm saying this as an ideology. what are your thoughts. >> some of them will say it out loud. i remember that the belmar interview that he had a few months back when they were talking about the advantage, and it was an nbc reporter sitting there with him where they were discussing the advantage of our economy slipping into a recession because it would cause short-term pain but it would help donald trump out of office. i don't think it's conspiracy theory when so many of them are actually willing to say this stuff out loud. they will do it on live tv. i believe that you have seen an inconsistency amongst these governors and i think it's a lack of understanding of just how much americans cherish freedom and liberty and prosperity, the american dream is for our country to be the best version of itself, not to
8:53 pm
be some version of some other country somewhere else on this planet, and i believe that as we are going through these weeks that are ahead, these governors can best serve their states by getting their economy roaring again. do it smartly, do it precisely in a way that prevents another outbreak. public health is important but you can't hold back this great economy from unleashing itself. mark: we'll be right back.

welcome back. your district is pretty much in the middle of things up there in new york. how is it looking now and do you see a hopeful future? >> absolutely we see hopeful future. were along long island and have had over 75000 cases of coronavirus, it was very rough for a few weeks. were still not out of the woods but were seeing the hospitalizations going down, more available hospital beds, icu beds, ventilators, people have a good spirit thanks for healthcare workers and all the front-line workers, the grocery store workers, the truckers, the farmers and the people have been working hard through this. our law enforcement, i believe the spirit is positive, we are

ready to do this fast, the weather is warming and hopefully we'll be back sooner than later. the report from here on long island where it has been hit especially hard as one that has a lot of positivity despite the challenges. >> all right. well it's good to know that the house is trying to get back to work and that's always been a tactic on nancy pelosi's part so she could write the legislation in her office and i invite y'all come back and voted into law because she really doesn't believe in representative government. she believes in the iron fist. is there any way to fix that? 30 seconds or less. how we fix this because house of representatives is not like this senate. there's very few breaks on a speaker that's out-of-control. >> the very best way to fix it is to take the gavel out of nancy's hand this coming november. we need to be choosing what type of a government we want for us and anyone out there who is listening, if they want to wake up today after complaining about an election,

you have to participate met congressman, thanks very much. we appreciate it. and, be safe there now that you fellas are going to finally meet in the house of representatives. we will see you next time on life, liberty and levin. >> he's an innocent man, he is a great gentleman, he was targeted by the obama administration, and he was targeted in order to try and take down a president and what they've done is a disgrace and i hope a big price will be paid. >> the whole thing was a orchestrated and set up within the fbi, klapper, brennan and the oval office fighting president obama. >> so you think this goes all the way up to the top, to president obama. >> absolutely. >> explosive comments there from michael flynn's lawyer. u
