suspect after a terror attack is stopped at a texas naval base. rob: what we know about the shooter. >> reporter: the fbi said the shooting happened at 6:15 thursday morning and forced the base into lockdown. the gunman approached but she was able to roll over and hit a switch to close the gate before getting inside. the gunman was shot and killed. >> we determined the incident this morning at the naval air station corpus christi is terrorism related. we are working diligently with state, local and federal partners on this investigation which is fluid and evolving. jillian: the ap identifying the gunman as a us citizen from corpus christi. us official tell fox news it took 5 hours to access the body in his car because a bomb squad

state of michigan who have been appalled by the actions of governor witmer. i put out a video in january talking about the fact that witmer will make a run for vp under biden and that is exactly what she is doing, doing media appearances with everybody and their brother but very little time listening to the concerns of the people of her state and overstepped are bound in many instances and we can't forget the fact we fought a war to game the freedoms in this nation and we can have someone come in and implement these draconian measures she has implemented. rob: the president shut a lot of critics up over the last few months by letting birx and anthony fauci run the show and doing what he was told as far as the pandemic. right now he is trying to make the switch and make people comforting by maybe showing there is not that much to fear,

maybe not wearing the mask, trying to motivate people to come back out. what do you think? >> the president has done an incredible job in response to the pandemic, he acted very early in january even though people said this is racist you can't do this, he saved a lot of lives as a result of that and we saw his approval numbers go up, not with republicans but democrats and independents, people felt he showed strong leadership and the reality is what he tried to do is what he said from the beginning, we have to protect our citizens and our nation and make sure the solution is not worse than the problem and when we are seeing 30 million people out of work we cannot continue to keep the country shutdown completely. it is not who we are as a nation, we need to open as safely as possible and as swiftly as possible because lives are at stake so let's make sure we get them back to work. jillian: what do you think of

michigan's attorney general as a result of this? >> the whole thing is ridiculous. we look at michigan and the people who have been put in place and elected and i don't think they are serving the people they have elected. this is not something the people of michigan are happy with, they are not happy with witmer or the attorney general, they are frustrated over all but this is going to show in the ballot box. this is an election year and people who align themselves with joe biden it will hurt all of them. rob: a new fox news polls talking about donald trump versus joe biden on the biggest issues in november. when you talk at the top, the economy first the president winning that battle and china and coronavirus as well, what do you think of these numbers displaying the president doing pretty well especially when it comes to dealing with china.

passengers will scan their own boarding passes, not handed to an agent. if you use your phone when you fly you have already been doing this. any food you bring to the airport has to be in a plastic bag and put in a bin for screening. there is also social distancing markers asked tsa security points the crowds will be spread out, lines will be spread out, there were already long line so this should be fun. all agents will have to wear masks and passengers are encouraged to wear masks as well. we will see these changes nationwide at airports, no word on temperature checks, airlines like frontier saying they will do temperature checks, united, delta, american, they will provide masks if you don't have one. it will look a lot different. rob: jillian's favorite store in the world apparently his home goods. jillian: i want to do home goods right now. rob: getting some good news. ed: it is fun.

here's the news. t.j. maxx, marshall's, home goods, stores in 25 states will start to reopen according to their parent company, announcing the earnings call, most company-owned stores will be customer ready by the end of june, more than 1600 other stores to reopen since may 2nd, they reported earnings after the bell yesterday, we got good news, numbers were rough on the revenue side and a report to reopen the stores were higher versus the same time last year. some of the pent-up demand, they reopen some stores in canada, germany, austria, poland, australia already open. the question is these retail companies, at t.j. maxx, you'll be at home goods, pent-up demand enough for the summer? i don't know.

rob: let's look at the ruling on your barbershop. the attorney general has not shown any nexus between cutting apparent increased risk of transmission. the attorney general's filings rest on covid-19 more than specific practices, at the business. we are talking about a barbershop but it is bigger than a barbershop. >> this is a big deal. we had barbers and beautician and anyone in this type of business, we had all the sanitation we needed in our schools so i am encouraging others to stand up, open up, show up. we are down in michigan, 21%.
