>> this is a "fox news" alert pretty smoke and virus looting and burning chaos in major american cities despite the courteous and effect tens of thousands of people across america protest the death of george floyd. it is the 2:00 a.m. on the east coast and 11:00 p.m. on the west coast . rick: i am break in los angeles. these curfews have little effect in keeping people off of the streets another metropolitan areas from new york to los angeles. police making at least 1400 arrests and 17 u.s. cities since thursday and many more arrested tonight. including in chicago . with
11:01 pm
photos and smashed, and stores looted on the miracle mile and squad cars damage. violent clashes between demonstrators and police . new york city streets for a while the scene earlier with multiple arrests there. some store windows broken and as you can see police car set on fire. one woman was charged with attempted murder of four nypd officers for allegedly early a cocktail into the police man while they were inside. lawmakers in california, and nevada and numerous other states, calling in the national guard to help here in california is a state of emergency has now been declared. and then in minneapolis, things seem to have calmed down a bit brady and this is where this all started. and during a slime now tonight mike what is the scene on the ground. reporter: while things are considerably calmer here after the local authorities and state
11:02 pm
authorities now came a big show of force enforcing the curfew this time. about 45 minutes. there was after 8:00 p.m. when we saw busloads of state troopers and sheriff's deputies, city police, showing up at the fifth precinct . newest standoff or flashpoint if you will. hundreds of demonstrators are still out there in front of the fifth precinct and that forces came in, law enforcement forces came in print a lot of teargas . with a non- lethal weaponry. rubber bullets, pepper balls, all ready. declared out the streets in the zip stripped the number of the demonstrators. busloads and busloads of people going by who had been detained for violating curfew. they continued throughout the city. they kind of went street by street and then started cleaning up little skirmishes that that people who broke into smaller groups around around.
11:03 pm
much smaller fires are burning now than what we saw last night. and we do have reports that officers in making arrests did make several weapons arrests state patrol troopers in the got several guns including an ai 15 and city police say that they have picked up one weapon. see please also say one officer was injured and it was a laceration pretty was treated on scene. and went back into service. otherwise we are looking at just a few people roaming the streets. a quiet city. rick . rick: mike, is a distance there that you have peaked and things are going to be progressively better and calmer in minneapolis. reporter: that is really, a tough call to make right now. on the demonstrators going to come back and try to do it again tomorrow. we'll have to see what they will try to organize tomorrow . but as you heard from the governor, they are watching but are organizing on social media. and, the police took a dramatically different posture.
11:04 pm
the third precinct behind me now. angry mob and then drawing a line in the sand if you will with the curfew. and then not enforcing it really really encouraging the mob that then went street to street in business-to-business breaking out windows and taking everything they can carry. rick. rick: for this is welcome news at least for now. for the people minneapolis. mike, who witnessed that horrible death of george floyd and all of these protest began. we appreciate you being on the ground there sir. reporter:rick: hundreds of demos taking stance against officers, clashing and moving clashing again and including in union square were some cops and helmet since facials were squaring off of demonstrators making numerous arrests pretty you see at least one of the police vehicles that was torched. in the city of new york tonight. fred has been witnessing the creek clashes and the lesson we check with you bryan, it looked
11:05 pm
like things have calmed down considerably. reporter: yes they have any good evening. good morning i should say, they have come down considerably or less of an hour since we have been here. overall new york city, their of over 120 arrest pretty 20 nypd vehicles have been vandalized. at least pretty and we have seen at least three or four vehicles with their own eyes torched tonight. and again, starting off peacefully . from washington square park, and arlen and then taking a turn, we were in flatbush, brooklyn. when that took a turn. all of a sudden agitators when after two nypd vehicles and getting on top of it and throwing rocks . in the police officers who are strained, and getting cursed at and getting things thrown at them. it finally charged and then two of the vehicles were lit on fire in flatbush . bricks and fire extinguishers and wood objects in glass bottles were thrown at
11:06 pm
police officers in flatbush, brooklyn and we were there for that. there was a dangerous situation. multiple arrests and multiple injuries to the police . in union square, it was a similar situation there . we had vehicles also torched here. multiple nypd fans cars print and union square park, they were cleared out, police officers charging and making sure that streets were cleaned out . saying it was an lawful assembly that time. at this point, we also know that three people are facing federal charges for throwing cocktails at nypd cocktail spring one woman facing murder charges for throwing a multi- cocktail into nypd and with fork nypd officers inside. two others facing charges for throwing cocktail into event with nobody inside. that is been a situation wreck. right now in manhattan, it is cleared out. there have been scrimmages can sintering into brooklyn as a
11:07 pm
half-hour ago. looking me now and that . but as of now, the worst is behind us. but a very tenuous situation here pretty of an entire city this in a lockdown for three months. the weather was good. anger is up. this is the hardest hit state when it comes to the coronavirus . many of these black and brown communities hit hardest . and with that virus unemployment the way it is, just a lot of things festering in the station particularly in midcity. mayor bill de blasio came out and he believes the police acted appropriately tonight . is a video out there of a police cruiser pushing through a crowd and he said that he said and stood by his police force and said that they had this protesters not put themselves right in front of the vehicle, it would not have happened. so we shall see what the reaction is tomorrow lots of questions for the mayor and lots of questions for the police. it appears that that have acted restrained and in multiple moment that we have seen. the things we saw tonight rick,
11:08 pm
we think that nypd acted the bus when the good given situation in front of them. rick: and you made a really important point their . people? i who have not been in new york city for the past three months, it's all like many of the other places in this country that of started opening their doors and many people back in a care in where restaurants are open now. the city is been a sad place. it is still shut down. in these folks have been chomping at the bit to get out and get back to business. and they have not been able to. and now, this. it is a tough time for everyone. but we appreciate you being on the ground there. your los angeles, we have seen a lot of violence as well. swarming with protesters today. it was them backlash for people here to what they saw in 1974 over the rodney king episode. today, the same cost perhaps but the name is different george floyd, and unfortunately, the
11:09 pm
mass demonstrations that we saw earlier today, mass peaceful demonstrations turn into criminal activity. fires, vandalism and looting. the national guard has been called in to the city of los angeles and estate of an emergency has been declared. this going out to the "fox news" correspondent who has been tracking a series of fires and examples of looting and vandalism there. on the streets of los angeles. jeff. reporter: that only a bit of an emergency declared by la mayor eric garcetti. but also governor gavin newsom. and i think it would be a lot of firetrucks here. they are battling several fires that are burning throughout the city. this one has been burning for several hours now. there still smoke billowing from the top of the store. we are sing for us small fires and trash cans, but some of
11:10 pm
these fires are really taken an effort to down. that thing we should mention, the firefighters or other but several police officers throughout the city. a little while ago, there was some police officers out there holding line. they have now moved on. in the la county sheriff telling us in the media that most of the large groups of protesters have now dispersed. now smaller groups are going around and some of the small groups. not all of them, some are basically breaking into stores throughout la. they looting going on. in beverly hills, rodeo drive which has some of the higher end stores. we witnessed it firsthand. that the growth in the fairfax district. nordstrom's and a few other stores michael course. so this seems to be the main focus right now. the big crowds been pushed back. now they have to fight these fires. and sort of work on this
11:11 pm
looting. but as in some cases, the small groups and running throughout this very already critical city. it's really hard to do anything about it other than to just let it happen. the honey here, there's a truck in the bring in the deputies in the getty call and they have protective gear on the street there and pretty significant helmets. the getty call, and them about . these special culture because of the fire going on. in the protesters over here shooting off firecrackers earlier. directly at law enforcement. so the going to be moving on. i will probably note doing the same. rick: this dramatic vish visual separated fires burning in san diego. at least one vehicle fire there. but i also saw jeff, you're in for an earlier, long line of
11:12 pm
police cars that had been vandalized. they'll have their tires punctured. it just seems like a pretty brazen act to be attacking the vehicles and mass and the way they were. and in that situation, it looks like what was behind you now are mostly first responders . is a lie the protesters or the folks in the streets. in the curfew remains in effect. reporter: it went into effect in 8:00 o'clock tonight. it did not seem like people started to leave. this is a rare sight to see over here . the squad car, someone untouched. i'm going to knock on wood for that one grade for the officer who wasn't great but throughout the city flat tires, graffiti, broken windows and in some cases, earlier this evening, saw fires. so that is an image that we saw throughout the country. it's happening last night, tonight it seems to be no
11:13 pm
different as protests continue throughout the country. and this right here in la. rick: we appreciate your reporting there in los angeles. thank you pretty funny us down phone is "fox news" legal analyst mercedes. i'm wondering what you think when you see these pictures of 70 fires burning in so many market studies. guest: iraq so good to be with you. for small looking at what happened with george floyd was absolutely horrific, anybody would looks at that video of that killing, it is no wonder that there is such a rage and upset throughout the country. the setting that aside, there has to be something done with respect to law enforcement. they have to do the due diligence. you have to look at the officers, obviously not everyone is like the officer this going to be charged with murder. and thankfully, the others are also being looked into the other
11:14 pm
three officers that are also involved in the killing of george floyd to see if they will be charged as well. thanks has to be this type of introspection to see if there persistent problems within the law enforcement and if there are, there has to be corrected. there has to be training. there has to be something done affirmatively. so killing like george floyd, and the anger does not persist. rick: i would think that you would have to agree mercedes that this was an exception, another role. these police officers across america are doing one of the most difficult jobs and anyone can do on a daily and nightly basis. these kinds of deaths are a rare occurrence in what we saw there in minneapolis was inexcusable everybody agrees on that but certainly, a major departure from proper procedure. nobody is arguing that point. this was awful awful.
11:15 pm
absolutely inexcusable. but this is not rep. of what police officers are doing across the market every day and night and for all of these people in cities to commit all of these crimes. that and they are crimes, of vandalism and fires and looting and assaults on police officers. it just seems to be, the wrong way to respond to what was clearly a criminal act. that officer we need to remind our officers have been charged and faces up to 12 years in prison. in the other officers according to minneapolis will likely be charged as well. what am i missing here. guest: you're right. we definitely have to focus on the message from the peaceful protesters that are coming forward and asking for a dialogue change to occur. that is great. and then with those who are letting and breaking the windows
11:16 pm
and assaulting law enforcement. there has to be justice upon those individuals. separate this from the peaceful protesters. we don't want the message of the people protesters to be lost. and you're absolutely right. there are so many wonderful law enforcement officials. i come from a family of law enforcement. i in my formative years as a lawyer i represented the police department pretty nasa many individuals in law enforcement that are wonderful. they should be overshadowed by this police officer that you're showing on the screen now prayed who was thankfully charged with murder. hopefully justice will be done. that shouldn't be what everybody thinks with in effect to law enforcement. but we still need to have a dialogue pretty thing to have changes in a make sure that the message from the peaceful protesters don't get lost. rick: more think it is. that's very unfortunate. what he did, this officer would
11:17 pm
you're looking at is inexcusable. and it is horrible. it appears to be murder. and he's been charged with their degree in second-degree murder. that's what it appears to be. that's why the prosecutors have charged him. so if that is the cause, and let's listen to the protesters. but when you have this other element that takes this opportunity to loosen start fires and attack officers who had nothing to do with this, it just sounds like a major disconnect. an unfortunate time in our society. reporterguest: and hopefully the will bring out and clear. and overcome with the looters in the individuals that are breaking up and causing this description. what they are doing.
11:18 pm
11:22 pm
just wondering grow quickly from the mayor of san francisco, this is effective immediately there will be a field in san francisco until 5:00 a.m. he said after talking with the governor of the national guard, is on standby to deploy to san francisco the mayor said this is the last thing on want to do is mayor. please take home, these do not come into san francisco and destroyer city. that said we have not heard of any violent clashes in san francisco but apparently there trying to be proactive there. here in los angeles for the mayor eric garcetti confirmed the national guard will be deploying overnight as the violence continues in midcity. and the governor gavin newsom 500 - 700 guard members this after the marriage imposed a curfew as the crowds forced cars and ritualized stores. that's been going on throughout the night. police arrested more than 500 people on friday night. we don't know how many they
11:23 pm
arrested tonight. but we have seen evidence of many crimes being committed on the streets of los angeles pretty joining us via skype now, as brian levin, currently professor of former new york city cup. thank you for being with us pretty what are your thoughts on when you are sing this resemblance los angeles tonight rated. guest: it's obviously a terrible thing. but i would like to start by going back to something bobby kennedy did the night of martin luther king's death. the need for empathy and understanding and a make gentle the light of this world to those of us who might experience a set of circumstances that are on equal. and we have to make it our imperative to roll up our sleeves and work so that every day the african-american friends, family and neighbors,
11:24 pm
feel the same way when they go into a store when they get pulled over, that i do. we don't have that. soy understand that. that being said, i think we have to differentiate the looters from the protesters. and especially to the young people. i want to say, americans and goodwill here you. and this will be across the ideological spectrum if we have enough leadership to get it done. with all due respect, i think we have to have more statements across the political spectrum by our leaders to say, whatever our differences are, it is unacceptable that the commissioner found, in 1960, after the assassination of the martin listen came, we can't have two americas. and what i feel is the looting,
11:25 pm
no excuse. the attack on the police officer, the left a family grieving last night. oakland, unacceptable. however, sue and i "the issue is" here just that. i think most if not all-americans would agree that what that officer did was inexcusable. and that he was apparently rightfully charged with murder. but what these people are doing, supposedly in his name, starting fires and attacking officers and looting and burning and committing crimes, you cannot do that pretty that is not okay. in this marrying whatever message anyone is trying to pursue fear rated. guest: precisely. with these losers and violent people are doing, are condemnable in particular the time when our national treasure, john lewis, is battling patriot
11:26 pm
pancreatic cancer. we have many more protesters that are peaceful. the ones who are looters, they're not doing anything for a cause. anybody who invokes violence, is tarnishing the moral imperative of the job that we have to do to make this country better for african-american friends. unlike what tyler carlson said. a few days ago, african-americans much more likely, to three times more likely to be killed by police. 13 percent of the publishing it 27 percent hate crime victims. also more victimized by this horrible endemic that is taking place. what we have to do including with all due respect, the race networks including your spring is to open ourselves up for more dialogue and not trying to stereotype things and type of information is says, must take crimes or folks is one that is
11:27 pm
factually incorrect. we have to have a base where moral leadership comes from the top. were not saying that the president of the united states when he talks about shooting looters pretty docs about police storms. that brings back such emotional harm to families that have been through that era. my mentor was a black federal judge is mother clean toilets a key could become judge . in time that he went to the courthouse of the police would not let them and predict we have to have in america where african-american people will be treated like you and i. with all due respect, we all have to work harder including your network. let's do more for that friday. rick: brian, there's no from all voices in your send an important one. in europe being heard tonight rated on our network so thank you very much for being here.
11:30 pm
rick: now more than ever it's time to celebrate american you can do that with us by streaming fox nation. from the people that brought you "fox news", get original exclusive showings and documentaries some of your favorite personalities as well as great series crime stories. and were pretty still available now enjoy no inserts omitting america fox nation.
11:32 pm
in los angeles with ongoing coverage of the nationwide protests over the death of george floyd in minneapolis network is been long night. mike joins us again life. mike, fortunately it appears that things have calmed down considerably read the city of minneapolis. i know you heard from officials there earlier . what were they saying about what works best when change things there tonight. reporter: would change things was the show of force. during a line in the sand. and then enforcing that line in the sand as opposed to the previous night when they said there would be a curfew at 8:00 o'clock and then you saw the law enforcement just retreat once and twice and three times until they were by all visual means ever gone . and the protesters and the renters just had the run of the city. the previous night. would happened tonight, is it hakeem and were interested because nothing happened right
11:33 pm
in 8:00 o'clock. the one thing that happened with a cell cell phone blessing it's a call, curfew and here in the area. violation of the car. you have to go home. nothing happened. everyone thought they got in on the cell phone in about 45 minutes later the trucks had busloads i should say of law enforcement started pulling up with the right gear and gas masks on. they can run to the back of the fifth precinct and they lay down an inordinate amount of teargas. and when they went up the street the kids scattered in the picked up small groups of them. a little bit data time and we saw busloads in busloads and holloway. we saw the national guard and street. we saw the sheriff's deputy even officers dnr officers out on the streets were they locked down and it's a quiet night now . rick: our viewers can see a split screen and on the other side their live images from phoenix arizona. i believe it is from scottsdale area of them all with a are looting going on tonight.
11:34 pm
missing some five images of the interest going and out of stores there. now i know that we saw that in minneapolis as well over the last couple of nights was not the case or was it much greater short of force and streets enough to keep people from breaking in a marked businesses in starting or fires. reporter: there were a few attempts to start fires tonight according to the official lease accounts . but the fact is the officers were out there. they were very large numbers look like in addition to the big show of force to secure the immediate area near the fifth precinct. there were small groups broke away. it is these kids scattered around the city, they chase them down. we thought that a couple of times they go and some of the small groups and they chase them down and zipped strip them and haul them away. so not only did they do the big show of force of him conservation of the demonstrators, they largely went
11:35 pm
street by street just regaining control of the city. and the question is, let's see how it works tomorrow. rick: holy see tomorrow mike brady and i know you will be there to report on it for a spring thank you very much for that. we also seen rioting in chicago. real chaos this evening. the crowds doing more than merging. protesters throwing objects at officers and damaging police officer vehicles . many were starting curfews with a hopes of curbing any violence. and throughout the evening, we have reported earlier on what is being smashed the miracle mile and elsewhere. and looting in downtown chicago in the loop . was a scene there now brady. reporter: it is still going on quite frankly. the curfew has been infected for about four and half hours and like what mike said about
11:36 pm
minneapolis, they are not obeying that curfew. we saw just moments ago, people with shopping carts full of whatever they can grab from all the stores pretty evident smashed in. in others hat carrying bags over the shoulders with anything they can find this point. i mentioned earlier, and we been able to make or break over to the riverfront, all of the drop bridges. they're still up right now. the reason they are up as becomes when the protests were in large numbers, they were trying to disperse the crowds. so it ended up happening was half of them got stuck on the side of the river. the other half on the other side of the river. so a bunch of them went up that way of michigan avenue and started lifting their brain and then on the site, it wouldn't eighth street and started taking all of that business is here breaking all of the windows. i want to show you video from earlier from around 5:00 o'clock this evening when the confrontation between police and protesters really came to a head and it's exactly what we were talking about trying to disperse the crowd and the police were
11:37 pm
trying to push that line the protesters were pushing back and so the police with their helmets and face shields and the batons in hand, started fighting back against the protesters who were not listening to them. several of those protesters ended up getting detained but then several hours later, right where we are standing over there was a up our abilities. the writers and protesters set fire to one of the scott cars. and it was in flames for several women it in ten minutes for fire department came and did put it out but the scenes are playing out across chicago tonight. we walked up 60 saw three cars squad cars, right next to each other, all three of them burst to a rest. the fire department has been making the rounds. we saw cup just with about six cars in pursuit of another car print and we are hearing reports of several shots in this
11:38 pm
area of downtown chicago. and as i mentioned earlier, this is a business district. this is where people come to work. this is not generally an area where he would hear gunshots like this. sincerely frightening scene's claim process. the chicago tonight. rick: shocking pictures of their of the protesters in place. in the lockdown age of pandemic here, in america, where the stores reopening in chicago. at any of the reopened or they also closed because of the coronavirus. reporter: outdoor dining began on friday. an outdoor dining was set to begin on wednesday what we saw was restaurants getting ready for that ring and putting potted plants out and getting ready to post people for the very first time in several months . this potted plants in any barricade
11:39 pm
or fencing that the restaurant supplement, were strewn all over the sidewalk and in the streets in many cases. but i will tell you what has been remarkable. say what you will about the police response. which is been absolutely remarkable is the claimant. an army of sanitation chris were out here cleaning up the graffiti, cleaning up the squad cars print it was literally there we see those flashing lights the sanitation truck. that's when the squad car was and is now been moved . and towed away and that is what we are saying at this hour as the protesters seem to have either quelled or moved out of this area. rick: that actually is pretty remarkable brady. i have one final dumb question for people who want to drive from one side of the river to the other in all of the straw bridges are up. how are they getting across the river. reporter: it is difficult. they have been up for several hours now. i live on the other side of the river. i tried to walk down here and i
11:40 pm
had to make my way through several streets. i had to go back and find another bridge that was open. and here's a group of course right here. there are ways around it. they can be seen as it normally would be. but thankfully, people should not be out right now like this. it is the curfew has been in effect since 9:00 p.m. they shouldn't be trying to make their way to this part of town. rick: to the police have checkpoint set up on those bridges that are down. reporter: it does not appear that way. i know earlier in the day, he had a lease on those in the water as well. but as of this moment, the police kind of shifted as the protesters made their way south on the side and north on the other side. so they are not focus on this area they are responding to those hotspots as it moves. rick: thank you very much and great job out there. curfew in effect in the city of atlanta. just like in many other cities,
11:41 pm
a lot of folks are not observing the curfew . they are defying the orders last night we saw a new crowd attacking cnn headquarters. there were multiple scrimmages with the police there. last time we checked in, it looks pretty calm. and were looking out images from the damage done at cnn. jonathan, what can you tell us about the difference between last night and tonight. reporter: things are much more calm today. they closed it off to prevent further damage to that building for an evening of the windows have been kicked in. some of the businesses and restaurants and other businesses, that's rent space and that building, the sand and center had suffered heavy damage. so there was a very heavy police presence here trying to limit any additional vandalism. police say there was some vandalism this evening but
11:42 pm
nothing like what we saw yesterday. the georgia restaurant association issued a statement stating many of these restaurants, many of these businesses and only recently reopened because of the covid-19 pandemic. we have had waiters, waitresses, dishwashers, upper employees looking forward to getting their lives back together only to find their places were vandalized and further delays. they have cleared all of the protesters out in this area. but earlier this evening, the curfews, several hundred have gathered here when police announced the curfews . several protesters threw water bottles and rocks at the police. they responded with tear gas include them out of here pretty thin shortly after the curfew, there was a young man with an atv riding it up and down the street you see and at one point,
11:43 pm
he tried to order him to stop and the atv struck the officer. and the officer suffered with their describing is a significant and taken in stable condition. he was asking for prayers for that officer's recovery. that atv writer, apparently suffered only minor injuries and was taken into custody. rick. rick: thank you for calling attention to one of the really sad sidebars of all of these protests. in the riots and that is those businesses that work hoping to reopen her hud just reopened and mark damaged or destroyed or simply don't know if they ever will be able or when they can because of the situation on the ground in atlanta and so many other cities across america. jonathan thank you and we will continue our coverage of these coast-to-coast protests coming up right after this.
11:48 pm
rick: i'm in los angeles, new images coming in out of portland, oregon tonight where police have fired tear gas to demonstrators and you can see protests continuing their and violence in the streets there. these are some pretty telling images where you see their heavily protected officers on that vehicle being deployed into this apparent hot zone where we are told there was looting and violence and you can see some protesters on the run as tear gases fired in portland. and we have according to the associated press, at least 13 people arrested during demonstrations tonight . in portland, demonstrations of the killing of george floyd read in place truck still trying to move people off of the streets this evening. the curfew went into effect today to clock but like many other cities in america, the
11:49 pm
demonstrators were not necessarily observing that curfew. protest again continuing in many cities in this country. they are aiming to bring justice. this is for george floyd, we saw that horrific video, the minneapolis police department firing the officer who had his knee on his neck. and he was fired soon after the video was released and then charged on friday when second and third degree murder. activists are hoping that this will be the last riots in the fight against police brutality. but the case against is kneeling officer is just the beginning of the closer look at the road ahead. and now we go to a former chairman pat. and scott, i know that was a lot of words leading up to what really is the most important question here. and that is the people want justice in this case. are they likely to see it.
11:50 pm
guest: that is a super important question. i have defended police officers. i prosecuted police officers. across the country as part of my white-collar practice. in the important part is to know here is that these charges are just the beginning. not the end. i think . i looked them in a solo law. you have the third-degree murder charge. ironically give them manslaughter charge in there which is a lesser included, which you usually don't get to until you get to charge in a jury by the charge. but with that being said, part of the anchor anger and the pain the frustration that we have seen is america, is that law officers have not been charged. and that the charging document, for the first degree murder. i can't just the prosecutor. he may have a rep reputation
11:51 pm
from the charging officers. but this is a tough prosecution. it is very difficult to get a convention against a police officer rightfully or wrongfully. so i think the prosecutor's are taking the time and doing his due diligence but he has got to do more effective here and not because america's a burning bit because justice needs to be done. rick: you raise significant issues here . i want to try to get to them as quickly as we can. small and i'm not a lawyer but first degree murder i thought was premeditated. this looks like to be a situation that developed the quickly and escalated into what we saw there on that video. but i am curious about is to the secondary charging the surgery, do they do that just in case one doesn't stick in the other one is more likely to. guest: yes be don't do that in
11:52 pm
the charging document. you do that once all of the evidence and everything is presented at trial. this is highly unusual. secondly, premeditated murder which would be murder one, can be premeditated with in seconds if you will. they can be premeditated with an hour or a day or perfect planning to connote, or the intentionality to do harm and to kill someone. don't let that timeframe affect you. this was a ten minute piece where there was a struggle. and we watched it, america watched it. but the people on the streets watch the spring there was no struggle, there is no argument pretty there is no fight. it was none of that's pretty that's the power of this video. it really is, and effects all of us, black white yellow or brown. because it is scary. there is no dispute about this. this guy was down. they had him in custody. these are the final charges in
11:53 pm
my opinion. rick: and that is the other thing scott that i wanted to ask you about the gibran upbraided these other officers who were on the saint a couple of them's according to another that we've seen work also kneeling on george floyd. they had not been charged. and i think one of the reasons why so many people are so angry is yahoo was charged but why weren't these other officers who could've stopped and could've moved his knee off of that man's neck. could've been tim moved him into the police car at some point during that whole episode and they did nothing. except to continue to hold him down. why have those other officers been charged. guest: this another piece that has been driving this protest. there were two other officers but there are other officers around to in the other interesting thing, it's very painful for me as an african-american man is those officers had not been charged.
11:54 pm
they could be aiding and abetting, so the delays in that. but they will be charged and indicted with. but even more in full from a social economic standpoint is that from a police training standpoint, not one of this place officers intervened if you will. they have prior experience with him and they had complaint against him. but none of them intervened. this even more painful. the bad apples in the police force. i started to think about that because if you allow bad apples to conservative force, and you did not report them and not disciplined and thrown off the four separating violations. they gotta start to think that if you tolerate it, you may be is just as responsible for allowing that to fester in your police force. so we've got to look at the retraining police never training them. how we treat them and train them. and how they treat the
