hands up, don't shoot, hands up, don't shoot. >> welcome to an early edition of "fox & friends" on this sunday morning. riots erupting in at least 30 cities overnight. police and rioters clashing in minneapolis, new york, la and >> this is d.c. and others. enact this is a "fox news" alert >> the national guard deploying that i'm rick leventhal los angeles. smoke and fires looting and in a dozen cities including burning and chaos in major nashville where rioters american cities despite curfews in effect and tens of thousands of people across america protest the death of george floyd. it's now 2:00 a.m. on the east coast and 11:00 p.m. on the west coast. i am rick leventhal in los angeles. these curfews having little effect in keeping people off the streets. in minneapolis or other major metropolitan areas from new york to los angeles with police making at least 1400 arrests and 17 u.s. cities since thursday and many more are arrested tonight including in chicago.
1:01 am
window smashed and stores looted in squad cars torched in damage producing violent clashes between demonstrators and police. new york city streets were a wild scene earlier with multiple clashes and arrest their presumption or windows broken and as you can see police cars set on fire. one woman was charged with the murder of four nypd officers for allegedly hurling a molotov tail into their police van while they were inside. lawmakers in california and nevada and numerous other states calling on the national guard to help. here in california state of emergency has been declared in los angeles. out in minneapolis they seem to have calmed down a bit. that's where "fox news" correspondent mike tobin is. mike what's the scene on the ground?ne >> things are considerably calmer here in minneapolis after
1:02 am
the local authorities and state authorities came up with a big show of force, enforcing the curfew this time. it was about 45 minutes after 8:00 p.m. when we saw busloads of state troopers, sheriff's deputies state police showing up at the fifth precinct which has become the newest standoff for flashpoint if you will. there were hundreds of demonstrators still out thereran front of the fifth precinct and forces came in, law enforcement forces came in with a lot of gear, rapper -- rubber bullets and pepper balls. they cleared out the streets and we sub us loads and busloads of people going by who had been detained for violating curfew. they continued throughout the city and went straight i street and started cleaning up little skirmishes as the demonstrators broke into smaller groups and ran around. they are still some fires burning in the city but muchun
1:03 am
smaller than what we saw, considerably smaller than what we saw last night. we do have reports officers making arrests several weapons arrest and state patrol troopers got several guns in quitting and they are 15. city police said they picked up one weapon or a police officer said one officer was injured with a laceration and treated on the scene and was back in service. looking at a few people roaming the streets in the quiet scene. >> is there a sense there that you have piqued and things are going to be progressively better and calmer in minneapolis? >> that is really a tough call to make right now. arera the demonstrators going to come back and tried to do it again tomorrow? we will have to see what they will try to organize tomorrow an social media but you heard from the governor they are governor they are watching what they are organizing on social media. the police took a dramatically
1:04 am
different posture than ceding the third precinct which you see behind me now to the angry mob ---- and drawing a line in the sand with the curfew and not enforcing it. really encouraging the mob that went street to street in business-to-business breaking out windows and taking everything itt can carry. >> this is welcome news for now for the people in minneapolis who witnessed the horrible death of george floyd and the protest began. we appreciate you being on the ground there p served. bottles were flying in new york city as well with hundreds of demonstrators taking stands against officers, clashing in moving and clashing again including the square where cops and face shields were making numerous arrests. do you see it lease one of the police vehicles that was torched in the city of new york tonight. bryan llenas the last time we checked with you it looked like
1:05 am
things have calmed down considerably. >> as they have wrecked. good morning. they have calmed down over the last seven hours. overall in new york city there've been over 120 arrests and 20 nypd vehicles have been vandalized at least. we have seen probably three or four vehicles with their own eyes towards tonight in these protests again starting off peacefully from washington square park to parliament taking a turn in flap was -- flap or should a and educators when aftr two n nypd vehicles and nypd police officers getting cursed at them things thrown at them charged in two vehicles were lit on fire in flatbush and fire extinguishers and wood objects
1:06 am
and glass bottles were thrown at police b officers in flap bursch brooklyn. we were there for for that in with the dangerous situation with multiple arrestsrr and injuries to the police. in union square was a similar situation. we had vehicles torched in multiple nypd vans and cars, firess in union square park or they were cleared out and police officers charging and making sure the streets are cleaned out saying it was their lawful assembly at that time. at this point also we know that three people are facing federal charges for throwing molotov cocktails that nypd vehicles one woman facing murder charges for throwing a molotov cocktail into an nypd vans with four nypd officers inside and two others facing charges for throwing a molotov cocktail into a van with nobody in sight. that's the situation right now. right now on manhattan it is clear and someme skirmishes
1:07 am
continuing in brooklyn as to a half hour ago. we will take them -- keep an eye on that but it looks like the worst is behind us. a very tenuous situation. a and entire state lockdown for three months. the weather is good in anger is up. when it comes to coronavirus many of the black and brown brown communities at the brown communities hit the hardest and with unemployment the way does a lot of things concerning this nation particularly in the city. mayor bill de blasio said he believes the police acted appropriately tonight. there is video of a police cruiser pushing throughh a crowd and he stood by his police force and said that those protesters not been in front of the vehicle it wouldn't have happened. we shall see reactions tomorrow and lots of questions foror the police. it appears they acted restrained and in the multiple moments that
1:08 am
we saw we think from what we saw the nypd acted the best way they could given the situation front of them. rick: you made a really important point for people across america who haven't been in new york city for the last three months it's not like any other place in this country that have started opening their doors and letting people back in like here in california where restaurants are open now. the city is still shut down. these folks have been chomping at the edit to get out and get back to business. they haven't been able to and now this. it's a tough time for a pruin but we appreciate you being out there or here in los angeles with seeing a lot of violence as well swarming with protesters arday. there were some flashbacks to the riots the city saw a 1974 over the rodney king episode.4 a the same cause perhaps but the
1:09 am
name is different. george floyd and unfortunately the t mass demonstrations we saw earlier today, the mass peaceful demonstrations turned into criminal activity.n fires, vandalism and looting. the national guard has been called and to the cityng of los angeles and a state of emergency has been declared. let's go to "fox news" correspondent jeff paul who is has been tracking a series of fires in examples of looting and vandalism there on the streets of los angeles. >> not only a state of emergency by la's mayor eric garcetti but governor gavin newsom wang and then declaring that as well. a lot of firetrucks out here still battling several fires that are burning while the city has been brain for several hours now. there is smoke going from the top of this various small fires out of dumpsters and trash cans.
1:10 am
the other thing we should mention firefighters are out here and several f police offics throughout the city. a while ago there were some police officers holding the line. they have now moved on and the l.a. county sheriff telling us in the media that most of the large groups of protesters have dispersed and it's just smaller groups going around. some are basically breaking into stores throughout l.a. and we have heard of it going on with the higher-end stores and we witnesses first-hand in the grove in the fairfax district at nordstrom's and a few other stores michael kors. that seems to be the main focus right now. now they have to fight these
1:11 am
fires. in some cases they are in small groups and spread out through the city. you can see behind me here that's an l.a. county sheriff. they bring in their deputies and they get a call. they have protective gear on their feet and pretty significant helmets. they get a call andnt these guys were called because of the fire that was going on and there were protesters shooting off firecrackers earlier directly at law enforcement. they will be moving on to the rest of the city. rick: those are dramatic images just. if our viewers are watching on the screen fires burning in san diego and one vehicle fire we hadn't seen in san diego yet could i saw you were on earlier
1:12 am
a e long line of police cars tht have been vandalized and they all had their tires punctured. seems like a brazen act to be attacking the vehicles en masse away they were in that situation. it looks like what is behind you now are mostly first responders. i don't see a lot of protesters are other folks on the streets with the curfew remaining in effect. >> the curfew went into effect today tonight or he people started -- the squad car is a rare sight to see somewhat untouched and a knock on wood for the officer that owns it but throughout the city there is graffiti and broken windows and in some cases earlier this evening we saw some stuff on fire. that is the image we saw throughout the country happening
1:13 am
last night and tonight it seems to be no different as protests continue throughout the country and right here in l.a..d rick: jeff we always appreciate your porting in los angeles. thank you for joining us on the phone is "fox news" legal analyst mercedes colin. ihi wondering what you think whn you see these pictures of so many fires burning in so many american cities. >> hi wreck is good to be with you for the kidnap what happened was absolutely horrific and anybody who looks at the video of the killing it's no wonder there is such rage throughout the country. setting that aside there has to be something done with respect to law enforcement. they have to do their due diligence and they have to look at the officers. obviously not everyone is like the officer that committed the murder and they are looking into
1:14 am
the other three officers involved to see if there will be charges as well. there has to be intersection to see if they are persistent problems within their law enforcement and if there are they have to be corrected. there has to be training. there has to be something done affirmatively greater killing like george floyd and the anger from it persists. rick: you would have to agree mercedes this was an exception not the rule. police officers across america are doing when the most difficult jobs anyone could do on a daily and nightly basis. these kind of deaths are a rare occurrence. we saw in minneapolis was inexcusable but itit seems likea major departure from proper procedure. no one is arguing that point. this was awful, awful and
1:15 am
absolutely inexcusable but this is not work resented it of what police officers are doing across america every day and night and for all of these people and all of the city stick commit all of these crimes and they are crimes of vandalism and fires and looting and assaults on police officers, it seems to be the wrong way to respond to what was clearly a criminal act. that officer we need to remind your viewers as already been charged and faces years in prison and the other officers according to minneapolis will be likely charged as well. what am i missing here? >> certainly you are right. we'd have my have to focus on the message of the peaceful who are coming forward asking for dialogue and change to occur and then with those that are looting
1:16 am
and breaking windows and assaulting law enforcement there has to be justice on those individuals. we don't want the message of the protester to be lost. there are so many wonderful law enforcement officers. my brother was an undercover narc. my brother is f a lawyer and i have representative the police department to there so many individuals in law enforcement that are wonderful and it shouldn't be overshadowed that is officer you are showing on the screen officer chauvin who was charged with murder. that shouldn't need what everyone thinks with respect to the law but it goes back do we need to have a dialogue and we need to have changes and make sure the message of the protesters don't get lost. rick: i think it is and that's very unfortunate.
1:17 am
you are looking at it, it's inexcusable and horrible. it appears to be murder. he has been charged with third-degree and second-degree murder. that's what it appears to be and that's why the prosecutor charged him. if that's the cause than let's listen to the protesters but when you have this other element that takes this opportunity to start fires and attack officers who had nothing to do with this it seems like a major disconnect and an unfortunate turn in our society. >> i think you are exactly right rick and hopefully the message to protesters will be heard loud and clear and overcome the individuals that are causing disruption.
1:18 am
rick: per se these we appreciate your insight tonight the thank you very much. >> my pleasure. rick: our coverage of the protests nationwide of the depth of george floyd will continue right after this. you doing okay?

rick: i'm rick lozano. i want to read were quickly from the mayor of san francisco effective immediately they will be curfew in san francisco until 5:00 a.m. beaty says after talking with the governor at the national guard is on standby to deploy to san francisco. the mayor said this is the last thing i want to do as mayor. stay home and did not come to san francisco and destroy our city. that said we have not heard of any clashes in san francisco but apparently they are trying to be proactive they are prettier los los angeles mayor eric garcetti can from the national guard will be deploying overnight as the violence continues in the city. garcetti asked governor gavin newsom for 500 to 700 members after the mayor. police arrested more than 500 people on friday night.
1:23 am
we don't know how many people they arrested tonight we have seen evidence of many crimes being committed on the streets of los angeles for joining us via skype now is ryan levin produced currently are best served criminal justice at california state university san bernardino and the former new york city cop. thanks for being with us tonight and what are your thoughts about what you are seeing on the streets of los angeles a tonigh? >> it's a terrible thing but i'd like to start by parking back to something that the kennedy said the mite of martin luther king's death and that is the need for empathy and understanding into make gentle the life of this world for those of us who might experience a set of circumstances that are unequal. we have to make it our imperative to roll upp our sleeves and work so that every day are african-american
1:24 am
friends, family and neighbors feel the same way when they go into a store where they get pulled over that i do and we don't have that. i understand that. that being said i think we have to differentiate the leaders from the protesters especially to the young people i want to say americans of goodwill cheer you and this will be across the ideological spectrum if we have enough leadership to get it done. with all due respect i think we have to have more statements across the political spectrum by your leaders to say whatever our differences are it's unacceptable. the current commission founded 1968 after the assassination of the reverend dr. martin luther king we have to americans. we can't have two americans. what i feel is the looting, no
1:25 am
excuse condemned the bull. via tack on a police officer that left a family grieving last night unacceptable. rick: the issue here is just that. think most if not all americans would believe what that officer did was inexcusable and he was apparently charged with murder. what these people are doing supposedly in his name starting fires and attacking officers and looting and burning and committing crimes, you can't do that. that's not okay and that is burying whatever message anyone is trying to pursue here. >> or cicely and what these looters and violent people are doing art condemnable and at a particular time when her national treasure, john lewis is
1:26 am
battling pancreatic cancer. wewe have many more protesters that are peaceful. the ones who are the looters they are not doing anything for a cause. anyone who invokes violence and tarnishing the moral imperative of the job that we have to do to make this country better for our ever can american friends. unlike what tucker carlson said misleadingly african-americans are much more likely to be killed by police. a certain% 27% of hate crime victims and victimized by this horrible pandemic taking place. including with all due respect the various networks including yours. open ourselves up for more dialogue and not the stereotyping and information that says oh a lot of these
1:27 am
crimes are are are -- when that is specially incorrect. we have to have a base where moral leadership comes from the estop and we are seeing that. the president of the united states when he talks about shooting looters in talking about police dogs, that brings back such grievous emotional harm to families that have lived through that era. my mentor was the black federal judge whose mother clean toilets and he could become a judge in the first time he went to the courthouse the police would let a in. we have to have in america were african-american people will be treated like you and i and with all due respect we all have to work harder including your network. let's dok more. rick: there is room for all voices and yours is important one and you are being heard tonight on her network so thank you very much for being here.
1:28 am

1:32 am
rick: i'm rick leventhal in los angeles.ol "fox news" correspondent mike tobin joins us again live rated fortunately it appears things have calmed down considerably in the city of minneapolis. i knowy you've heard from officials there earlier. what were they saying about what works best in what change things there tonight? >> would change things was a show of force and joined the line in the sand and enforcing that line in the sand as opposed to praise is nice when they said there wouldld be a curfew at 8:00 and then you saw law enforcement retreat twice and three times until they were gone are for the protesters and writers had the run of the city on the previous night. what happened tonight 8:00 came and we were interested because
1:33 am
nothing happened right at 8:00 or the one thing that happened was the cell phone blast sprayed everyone got a warning area you are in violation of the curfew and you have to a go hom. nothing happened. 45 minutes later the trucks and busloads i should say of law enforcement started pulling up with riot gear and gas mask on. they came to the fifth precinct and laid down in a guarded amount of tear gas. they picked up small groups a little bit at a time and we saw busload of detainees being hauled away with the national guard in the street inio church deputies and the inner officers on the street. they locked the city down. rick: you can see it at our viewers can't. we have a split screen and on the other side there are live pictures from phoenix arizona from the scottsdale area of the
1:34 am
mall where there is looting going on tonight. we have scenes from life images of looters going in and out of the stores there. and i know we saw that in many offices well over the last couple of nights. was that the case or was this a much greater show or some the streets enough to keep the ball from breaking into more business is in starting morero fires? >> there were a few attempts to start fires according to police accounts but the fact is the officers were out there, out there in very large numbers and in addition to a big show of force to secure the meeting area near the fifth precinct. as the kids scattered around the city they chase him down a couple of times where they got into small groups and chase them down and hauled them away. not only did they do a big show of force but the concentration
1:35 am
of the demonstrators they went straight i street regaining control of the city. the question is that see how workss tomorrow. >> mike i know s you will be the to report on it for us. thank you very much for that. we have also seen quieting in chicago which has been the scene of real chaos this evening. the crowds were doing more marching and throwing objects at officers and damaging police vehicles. the shuttle -- chicago mayor lori lightfoot was one of many to impose a curfew with the hopess of curbing further violence. correspondent grady trimble has been on the ground hasn't reported earlier on windows smashed and looting in downtown chicago. what is the scene there now brady? >> it still going on quite frankly for the curfew has been in effectt for 4.5 hours and
1:36 am
unlike with mike tobin said about minneapolis they are not obeying that curfew. we saw moments ago people got whatever they could grab from all of the stores others carrying bags over their shoulders with anything they could find at this point mentioned earlier rick as we been able able to make our way to the riverfront all of the drawbridges are still up right now the reason they are up is because when the protests were in large numbers they were trying to disperse the crowds. what ended up happening is half of them got stuck on one side of the river and the other half on the other side of the river. people went down michigan avenue certainlyve being there and they went to the city street and started attacking the businesses here in breaking the windows but i want to show you video from earlier from around 5:00 this evening between a confrontation he trained police and protesters came to ahead. it'sha exactly we were trying to
1:37 am
talk about to disperse the crowd. the police were trying to force that line and protesters were pushing back. the police with their comments and face shields and batons in hand started fighting back against the protesters who were not listening to several of those protesters ended up getting detained but several hours later right where we are standing there was a cop car ablaze with rioters and looters and protesters that set fire to one of the cop cars but it was in flames for several minutes. the fire department came and put it out but those scenes are playing out across chicago tonight. we saw three cars right next to each other. all three of them. the fire department has been making the rounds. we sought a cop chase with six carsar in pursuit of another car and hearing reports of several shots fired in this area of
1:38 am
downtown chicago which is i mentioned earlier in my reporting this is where people come to work. thist. is not generally an area were you would hear gunshots like this. certainly frightening scenes playing out across chicagori tonight ai shocking pictures of r of the protesters in place. in the lockdown age of pandemic here, in america, where the stores reopening in chicago. at any of the reopened or they also closed because of the coronavirus. reporter: outdoor dining began on friday. an outdoor dining was set to begin on wednesday what we saw was restaurants getting ready for that ring and putting potted plants out and getting ready to post people for the very first
1:39 am
time in several months . this potted plants in any barricade or fencing that the restaurant supplement, were strewn all over the sidewalk and in the streets in many cases. but i will tell you what has been remarkable. say what you will about the police response. which is been absolutely remarkable is the claimant. an army of sanitation chris were out here cleaning up the graffiti, cleaning up the squad cars print it was literally there we see those flashing lights the sanitation truck. that's when the squad car was and is now been moved . and towed away and that is what we are saying at this hour as the protesters seem to have either quelled or moved out of this area. rick: that actually is pretty remarkable brady. i have one final dumb question for people who want to drive from one side of the river to the other in all of the straw bridges are up. how are they getting across the river. reporter: it is difficult. they have been up for several hours now. i live on the other side of the
1:40 am
river. i tried to walk down here and i had to make my way through several streets. i had to go back and find another bridge that was open. and here's a group of course right here. there are ways around it. they can be seen as it normally would be. but thankfully, people should not be out right now like this. it is the curfew has been in effect since 9:00 p.m. they shouldn't be trying to make their way to this part of town. rick: to the police have checkpoint set up on those bridges that are down. reporter: it does not appear that way. i know earlier in the day, he had a lease on those in the water as well. but as of this moment, the police kind of shifted as the protesters made their way south on the side and north on the other side. so they are not focus on this area they are responding to those hotspots as it moves. rick: thank you very much and great job out there. curfew in effect in the city of atlanta.
1:41 am
just like in many other cities, a lot of folks are not observing the curfew . they are defying the orders last night we saw a new crowd attacking cnn headquarters. there were multiple scrimmages with the police there. last time we checked in, it looks pretty calm. and were looking out images from the damage done at cnn. jonathan, what can you tell us about the difference between last night and tonight. reporter: things are much more calm today. they closed it off to prevent further damage to that building for an evening of the windows have been kicked in. some of the businesses and restaurants and other businesses, that's rent space and that building, the sand and center had suffered heavy damage. so there was a very heavy police presence here trying to limit any additional vandalism. police say there was some
1:42 am
vandalism this evening but nothing like what we saw yesterday. the georgia restaurant association issued a statement stating many of these restaurants, many of these businesses and only recently reopened because of the covid-19 pandemic. we have had waiters, waitresses, dishwashers, upper employees looking forward to getting their lives back together only to find their places were vandalized and further delays. they have cleared all of the protesters out in this area. but earlier this evening, the curfews, several hundred have gathered here when police announced the curfews . several protesters threw water bottles and rocks at the police. they responded with tear gas include them out of here pretty thin shortly after the curfew, there was a young man with an atv riding it up and down the street you see and at one point,
1:43 am
he tried to order him to stop and the atv struck the officer. and the officer suffered with their describing is a significant and taken in stable condition. he was asking for prayers for that officer's recovery. that atv writer, apparently suffered only minor injuries and was taken into custody. rick. rick: thank you for calling attention to one of the really sad sidebars of all of these protests. in the riots and that is those businesses that work hoping to reopen her hud just reopened and mark damaged or destroyed or simply don't know if they ever will be able or when they can because of the situation on the ground in atlanta and so many other cities across america. jonathan thank you and we will continue our coverage of these
1:44 am
1:45 am
1:46 am
1:47 am
1:48 am
i'm rick lozano in los angeles. we have new images coming in a portland oregon tonight where policeli have fired tear gas ono demonstrators and you can see protests continuing their and violence in the streets there. this is a pretty telling image here with have fully protected officers on the vehicle being deployed to this apparent hot sun where we are told there was looting and violence and protesters o as tear gas was fired. we have according to the "associated press" at least 13 people arrested for demonstrations tonight in portland demonstrations are really killing of george floyd. police still trying to move people out. there was a curfew put into effect at 8:00 at like many citiesda in america that
1:49 am
demonstrators weren't necessarily observing that curfew peer protests continuing incu many cities with demonstrations and to bring justice for george floyd who we saw that horrific video with the minneapolis police department firing derek chauvin the officer who had his knee on his nec. he was fired soon after the video was released and charged friday with second andy third degree murder. activists are hoping that this will be the last right in the fight against police brutality but the case against the officer and for a closer look at the road of head and chauvin we go to pat. that was a lot of fours leading up to what is the most important question here and that is if people want justice in this case
1:50 am
are they likely to see at? >> that's an important question and thank you for having me. i have defended alyse officers and police officers across this country as part of my white-collar practice and the important heart to know charges are these just the beginning, not the end ing think. with the minnesota lie you have the third degree murder charge and ironically you have the manslaughter charge which is lesser included which you usually don't get toh until you were charged by the judge. with that being said the anger and the pain and the frustration we are seeing as america burned is the four officers haven't been charged and the charging document does not disclose first-degree murder. i can choose the prosecutor but
1:51 am
i will say this there's a reputation for undercharging police officers. it's very difficult to get a conviction against a police officer rightfully or wrongfully. i think the prosecutor is taking his time and doing his due diligence. he's got to me more fish and ineffective. justice needs to be done. rick: erase some significant issues and i want to try to get to a them. first of all i'm not a lawyer but first degree murder was premeditated and this looks to be a situation that develops very quickly. it escalated into what we saw in that video. what i am curious about in addition to the second degree charges in the third degree charges do they do that in case one doesn't stick and the other one is more likely to? >> e because you don't do that
1:52 am
in the charging document. you do that once the evidence is presented that trial.s secondly pre-murdered -- premeditated murder which being murder one can be premeditated within seconds. it can be premeditated to come out potentiality to do harm and kill someone. during that timeframe this was a ten-minute time where there was a struggle and america watched it and the people on the street watched it. there was no struggle and there was no argument and there was no fight. it affects all of us black, white yellow or brown. there is no dispute about this. this guy was down and they had him in custody.
1:53 am
these aren't the final chargeshe in my opinion. rick: that's the other thing i wanted to ask about that you brought up in these othersk officers on the scene a couple of them according to another angle we have seen were also kneeling on him and they haven't been charged. that's one of the reasons why so many people are so angry. chauvin was charged with why weren't these other officers who could have stopped him and moved his knee off of that man's neck sometime during that whole episode and did nothing predict continued to hold him down and why haven't thoses driving the circumstances. there were other offices around the scene. it's very painful for me as an african-american f man that they
1:54 am
haven't been charged. they could be charged with aiding and abetting assault and battery so the delays of that are problematic as well. what is even more painful from a socioeconomic standpoint is not one of those police officers intervened if you will. this was not the arrest of chauvin. they had complaints against him but none of them intervened. when you talk about the police force i stopped thinking about that. if you don't report them and is not disappointer thrown off the force with violations if you tolerate it you are responsible for allowing it to fester in your police force.
1:55 am
them. and how they treat the communities of color . rick: this one was a blatant disregard of proceed jerk and training on this the part of this officer and apparently the officers around him. and i don't know that it implicates other officers in other departments across america. but this is just so difficult to watch. and it is clearly so beyond anything that would be acceptable for anybody. the way that he looks at the camera. he knows someone is recording him and he still does not get up. that's what i think the whole thing is just so disturbing. we only have a few seconds left. once your message to all of these people who are creating all this havoc on the streets tonight. guest: i love our communities around the country for protesting. but the looters, the those who are running to the store for now. they're looking. they're diluting the power of george floyd's family and death. if everyone, who has died at the
1:56 am
hands of the police, we have got to be better. rick: thank you scott. thankkkkk audible is my road-trip companion. it's kind of my quiet, alone time. audible is a routine for me. it's like a fun night school for adults. i could easily be seduced into locking myself into a place where i do nothing but listen to books. i never was interested in historical fiction before, but i'm obsessed with it now. there are a lot of like, classic and big titles that i feel like i missed out since i don't have time to read, mean i might as well listen. if i want to catch up on the news or history or learn what's going on in the world, i can download a book and listen to it. because i listened to her story over and over again, i made the decision to go ahead and follow my own dream, which was to help other veterans. i think there's like 180 books in my, in my library now.
