10:29 am
when he talks about china trying to steal vaccine information in trying to hinder american efforts to develop a vaccine. kristen: in the midst of all of this you also have now china weighing in on all of these protests taking place across the country. he recently wrote that and accusing china of trying to have racial tensions here in america and run after that, the secretary of state mike pompeo, calling it a propaganda that is coming from beijing. so how can we understand what exactly is what what is beijing doing. >> for about a week, is going back to about last saturday. missing the show eight nice in the global ties which is a communist party tablet really go after united states on the george floyd protests. basically what they are accusing united states of being is racist. and during that summing different forms and also they are deliberately twisting the

facts. so for instance, they have taken points from american politicians and put them into the wrong context. completely distorting what has been said. this is just what beijing does. it's a malicious disinformation campaign. and we saw this the beginning of february connection with the coronavirus as well. so doesn't really matter what the subject is pretty beijing is going to go after us hard with the disinformation campaign. kristen: they also, when they often do these disinformation campaigns, is this was a different. this is so different in than usual. >> this is more malicious and we have seen the fabrications think much more obvious. so for instance, the took a quote from speaker pelosi from a year ago which was actually quite famous quote. and they then said she said something else. so it was clear the beijing was lying. and so this obvious gnosis new. it really speaks of i think just

it is you think about the captain and what going to send today can you share with us some thoughts about him. it is important to remember him. and other officers who have been hurt and killed the past week . >> will remember the same he was killed, they were forced police officer shot that same evening. so we've had significant issues here in our community. but specifically of david, the different from more than three decades, professionally, probably the most dedicated public servant i have ever run into. i have ever worked with and one thing about david's was willing to give you a break if you're bad guy. but he did have aligned the do not cross. he didn't mind putting people in jail . he was about law and order. leland: you think about what stn terms of four officers ambush and intact. and we've already heard about the ferguson attack in st. louis
10:41 am
in another city's baltimore and others where police officers are not scared to get out of the cars they are now scared. they don't move the gun to be backed up in the realized the community outreach that could happen if they try to do the jobs in different ways . on the question would be this. do you worry about in effect across the country wrapped the events of this past week, there's a lot of police officers who are a lot less willing to chase a suspect down a dark alley. >> think you're always in a police officers who would chase a suspect down a dark alley. when they have to be right now that ferguson effect where there and sing the radio calls but as far as self initiated activity, i would expected to be very low at this point. because you don't want to be the next person on the national news. these resistance of all of the start with resisting arrest, every last one of them. it's extremely rare. it doesn't start in the manner . and they are not pretty to watch . there is no doubt about that freedom the discounting what
