1:14 am
well now there's score!, from force factor, to rev your libido and maximize physical response.
1:15 am
it's no wonder force factor is the #1 fastest-growing men's health brand at walmart. unleash your potential in the bedroom with score!. todd: protesters burning the american flag in the nations capital. onlookers cheering as old glory is destroyed. jillian: joining us is congressman keller, thanks for being here. what is your reaction to what you are seeing play out on our streets? >> really said that people destroy the american flag, the
1:16 am
symbol that stands for so much good not just in our nation but around the world. when anybody sees trouble our soldiers show up fighting behind that flag. under that flag we free europe in world war ii and done so much good and for people to be destroying the symbol of our nation, the fact that it stands for freedom really is disappointing. todd: here's what the president is saying, he writes it is a shame that congress does not do something about the lowlifes that burn the american flag, it should be stopped and now. critics will say flagburning is protected under the constitution. a protected form of speech. how the response? >> people feel that way, i can't wrap my mind around people not feeling this represents the good that has happened since the beginning of our nation. certainly we haven't done everything perfectly in america but we have done more right than
1:17 am
wrong and for people to destroy such a great symbol of freedom for everyone is disappointing. jillian: the senate is expected to vote on the justice act today. let's listen to what some democrats say on this. >> we plead with leader mcconnell, don't score political points. >> what do we see mitch mcconnell and the republicans doing? setting up a process that they know will fail. >> the majority leader would have us play political claims with hopes, the dreams and demands of the american people. jillian: will we find something that is bipartisan? >> look what is happening in the house and the senate, picking up the speaker's bill later this
1:18 am
week but they are talking about political points, the speaker wanted to make sure we get it right, the bill would have been written and done in washington and would have been in washington rather than our living rooms, congress is supposed to lead in congress, not our living rooms. we would be down in washington dc doing the work of the people so it would be open for all to see. talking about scoring political points, the majority leader, the minority leader in the senate and the speaker shouldn't talk about scoring political points because they want to get to the bottom of this and should be working together to see what we can do. it is disappointing, they have been doing that for i don't know how long, the heroes act in the house was written in secret have all the things adam shifts in the speaker and the democrats been trying to score points on the last 3 and a half years.
1:19 am
jillian: thank you for your time and insight. it is 19 after the hour, the president headlines for students for trump event in arizona. leland: one student who met him explains why he supports the president coming up next. you doing okay?

1:22 am
jillian: thousands of young trump supporters gather in arizona for students for trump rally. >> your generation is proving your hearts are filled with the fire and both her for of true american patriots.
1:23 am
this will be a turning point in american history. jillian: arizona state university student joins me live with wide is important to support the president. how was yesterday? >> absolutely fantastic. from the moment we walked in, 2500 students able to get into the gates to sit in the seating section and hear the president was an enthusiastic and more so inspiring experience for me. jillian: go ahead. >> contrary to popular belief, contrary to popular belief, there are a lot more young conservatives than we think, that is due to the fact, college campuses since groups of
1:24 am
friends, twitter and instagram, conservatives and trump supporters in particular we fear social ostracization, we fear having our grades lowered in classes because certain professors, we fear being victims of cancel culture but today's event was inspiring and shows there are more young conservatives ready to vote in 2020. jillian: what is about his message that resonates with you? >> donald trump's message is all about authenticity. the biggest messages trying to get across is the second he walks onto the stage he shows who he truly is. he is authentic and that is inspiring to all of us. for me in particular the authentic message and encourages me to share my political beliefs, express my support for the president in social settings whether on social media or
1:25 am
campuses, project like the leadership institute campus reform has done an impeccable job, the kinds of fears young conservatives fear on campus around the liberal bias pervading our culture. the president's message, with bigger lessons asking us to vote for him for four more years, a vote for trump isn't just a vote for four years of trump but a vote against social -- socialism and in favor of promising the american dream. shannon: voting in past presidential elections, was up a little bit, one.8% increase in 2012 with 11 million and you look at 18-24-year-olds who voted for him, hillary clinton
1:26 am
in 2016, 60% barack obama in 2012. it is important we spent time talking about the youth vote for everyone to make their voices heard. i have to ask about coronavirus. on tuesday the department of health reported 3591 new covid-19 cases, how did you feel about going to an event indoors where you are around a lot of people? >> going to an event indoors is something we all had to make the personal choice to do so. those at higher risk, looking at that critically no matter what. it is a personal decision to walk into that rally and wear a mask but what we learned at that rally was the great mobilization of the trump administration has spearheaded in terms of trump mentioned the administration,
1:27 am
the country is producing 2000 ventilators every week. considering those facts in that situation, a lot came down to personal choice for everybody that was there. jillian: thank you for joining us. have a good day. todd: 27 after the hour, the president promising strong action against violent protests in dc as they burn the flag overnight and try to take over a spot outside the white house. the president of the dc police union reacts next. getting paid to not wear a mask, casinos betting on that idea.
1:28 am
1:29 am
1:30 am
todd: a look at top headlines starting with a fox news alert,
1:31 am
protesters seen burning an american flag in the nation's capital, cheering as old glory burst into flames. it all comes one day after attempting to create a black house autonomous zone and taking down the statue of andrew jackson using ropes, donald from pledging to sign an executive order to protect our nation's historical monuments. jillian: the senate will vote whether to start a debate on a police reform bill, the bill already appears to be injury, democrats claim the legislation doesn't do enough. todd: seattle city council picking up jenny durkin's but it claiming police funding by $20 million. a monster cut is only a tenth of what activists wanted, the third shooting in less then a week. jillian: the european union considers banning americans from visiting when it reopens its borders next month. todd: concern grows over how the
1:32 am
us is handling the spread of covid-19. >> the european union is considering a ban on all americans traveling to the region over concerns about covid-19. the decision date for cut off decision by the eu making this plan a week from today, those officials are split on which countries to include in the list of banned locations. the criteria is not known. report say countries that have 1000 positive cases over the past two weeks would be barred with 2.3 million total cases, the united states leads the world in the total number of infections. coronavirus task force member doctor anthony fauci reassured lawmakers a vaccine for covid-19 would become available though he expressed concern about the spike in new cases in different
1:33 am
locations across the united states. >> in some respects we've done very well but in other areas of the country we are seeing a disturbing surge of infections that look like a combination but one of the things is increase in community spread. >> reporter: he told lawmakers donald trump did not order a slowdown in coronavirus testing despite the fact the president said he did just hours before. overnight north korea says kim jong un has suspended military action against the south. kim and his sister threatened force in recent weeks saying relations and collapsed. the north the weapon inter-korean liaison office, nuclear talks between the us and north korea have been stalled. todd: bill cosby's casey back to court, agreeing to hear the disgraced comedian's appeal to his sexual assault conviction,
1:34 am
the report will reveal whether 5 other accuses should have been allowed when cosby was only tried for one week of allegations. he was sentenced to 3 to 10 years behind bars, serve two of those years so far. jillian: nights of columbus with a federal lawsuit, in delaware, with religious holiday in 2018, the knights of columbus claiming religious dissemination because the city allows the christmas tree and holiday lights. there have been no complaints about their displays the 1930s. jillian: john bolton defending his decision to write a tell-all about his time working for the trump administration, the national security adviser slamming donald trump in an interview with bret baer. >> there's a lot of reprehensible conduct not all of which is impeachable. the democrats were pursuing a
1:35 am
strategy going into a ditch. they had opportunities to correct the course. todd: the mayor asking bolton if hero the memoir, if he destroyed his notes, a pretty good memory. promising swift action against protesters trying to set up an autonomous zone in the nation's capital. >> we are looking at long-term jail sentences for these vandals and hoodlums and anarchists and agitators and whatever you want, some people don't like that language but that is what they are, they are bad people who don't love our country and not taking down our monuments. jillian: the zone would create lawlessness. thank you for being here.
1:36 am
what is the end game? what do they want? >> sounds like it is mostly about defunding, dismantling police department particularly in dc but around the country and our officers are more prepared than anybody for these protests, riots, the idea that they would set up an autonomous zone is pretty preposterous. i have a lot of faith in the chief of police and the mayor that they will not make the mistakes that were made in seattle to prevent that from happening. todd: here's what the president is saying, there will never be in autonomous zone as long as i am your president. what is dc doing to prevent
1:37 am
becoming seattle? >> i will leave it to the special operations vision on the ground, dealing with the situation, it is the same decline, it is going to take every step and every precaution. >> giving the ability to do their job, shootings have surged in major cities like new york, and may be the new normal. what will it be like? 125 new york shooting incidents the first 3 weeks of june, you can see the numbers, 64% increase in shooting, 79%
1:38 am
increase in murders and auto, theft and burglary increasing as well. what do those numbers say to you about what is happening right now? >> pretty alarming in the same numbers we are seeing in other cities in the district of columbia, this harkens back to 2015 when the st. louis police department talked about the ferguson effect after the uprising that occurred there and what we saw, police officers got the impression nationwide citizens and governments alike did not want them to act proactively to patrol neighborhoods, they responded to 9 one one calls but that was all they did and when you see that situation you will see crime numbers spike because police officers are not doing the job of interdicting the crime. my concerns i was going on right now makes what happened in 2015 look like child's play.
1:39 am
rather than seeing police officers be more apprehensive about doing police work, you will see people do a study of our own members and we found over 70% were considering leaving the police department and the fast majority were considering leaving law enforcement altogether and when you take away people's working conditions, we saw a number of them, when people realize they put their lives and freedom, and families in jeopardy they will look at other careers. what we saw in 2015 were cops stopped doing that, things keep going the way they are going, a lot of police officers leave law enforcement and that will leave us in a bad place. >> police officer leaving in black of improvement, we will continue to have this conversation, thank you for joining us.
1:40 am
todd: americans reluctance, teens asked to track covid-19 cases. >> we need contact tracing apps for them to work, he joins us with that message next. guys, it's that time... and nothin's happenin'.

todd: coronavirus cases spiking states across the us with health officials briefing concerns of another major outbreak. >> we are seeing a disturbing surge of infections that looks like a combination, increase in community spread. that's the thing i'm really quite concerned about. todd: tech companies pushing doodle contact tracy apps to prevent another wave of covid-19 but are they working? the problem isn't to use them. he joins me now. great to see you. 60% slower covid-19 transmission with digital contact tracing. why don't we see context tracing apps in use by the masses. >> that is the million-dollar question. around the globe they need to figure out why would you
1:45 am

1:46 am

1:47 am
it hasn't sold out yet. the big component that is missing is why what i download it? what is the benefit to downloading it other than to reveal to everybody i've got it? todd: unless this becomes law, contract tracing to become useful in this fight. >> if we can get 60% of the country using it or your community even if it is just a geographic small reason it will make a difference. we will achieve that? i think they've got to get to that, and figure out how to make it attractive. do you reward people for using it? something as to get people to use it. todd: we heard how big this is going to be and it fell off a cliff.
