1:18 am
not let them penetrate that perimeter, the thing with crime scenes and everything, they have a right to protest, move along, not to occupy. when you occupy like that, you are showing everybody this is what the new normal is. we can take over parts of the city and do whatever we want in whatever manner we want and nobody will do anything to us especially the mayor. >> you alluded to this earlier. i want you to elaborate a little more. can this be contained to the degree we have seen to seattle and new york or is this coming to a city near you? >> unless law enforcement officials work, not that it must be elected officials work with law enforcement and say this is how we will handle this if it happens in our area. they do it with everything else in policing, the school

shootings and all kinds of inner threat and everything, they can do it with this as well. if this happens in our neighborhood this is what we are going to do as elected officials but when you have elected officials condoning this and handcuffing the police officers and telling them you will do as we say, just like seattle, seattle is a prime example, we are at the seattle level, they are destroying city hall right now with the garbage and everything else in the graffiti so it is a shame. jillian: thank you for joining us with your inside, we appreciate it. have a good day. it is good to see you. leland: the president headed to mount rushmore, what is wrong with that? >> the left and protesters have

before he was dismissed last month. democrats looking to investigate why attorney general william barr removed him. he will answer questions from the house judiciary committee next thursday. >> joe biden leading in general election polls but when it comes to voter enthusiasm the president, trumps the democratic nominee. will this be enough to get him a second term, joining me to debate from black voices for trump, kevin walling, appreciate you being here. we know polls change, we have a couple months to go but for the fun of it take a look at some of these and get your opinion, the first is the general election poll, joe biden with 49.3% compared to the president at 40% and this one is enthusiasm among supporters, the president with 50%, joe biden with 27%. what do those polls tell you?
1:34 am
>> good question. tomorrow marks four months until the election. those polls are encouraging, not just the national polls which showed 10 to 12% nationwide the vice president leading on the incumbent president been some of the seas key battleground states a near double-digit margin in wisconsin, pennsylvania, michigan. that is the whole ballgame for the vice president. is inaugurated the 40 sixth commander-in-chief in january. jillian: donald trump hasn't is yes when it comes to his base. how much will that play a factor? >> the base is what matters because you want to make sure your core supporters support you in the president has received 96% approval, enthusiasm rating with the republican party in
1:35 am
addition to enthusiasm in fundraising. the rnc and trump campaign have a cash campaign, $295 million showing enthusiasm is on our side, fox news poll, key battleground states, enthusiasm for donald trump was between 10 percent-13% advantage over joe biden and other polls show enthusiasm for donald trump in key battleground states of 60%. enthusiasm tells you who you will vote for, are you enthusiastic, willing to go out and make the sacrifices? that is on the side of someone who is inspirational, delivers for the american people and that is donald trump. that is not on the side of the democrats for joe biden. jillian: if you look at fundraising numbers from recently you will see joe biden has a slight edge for june, $10 million more than the president and for q2, $285 million for biden compared to $266 million for donald trump. those numbers are in joe biden's favor for june.
1:36 am
>> that speaks enthusiasm and 68% of those donors are new to the campaign, brand-new to supporting joe biden it will be with him the next four months, that is the trend line you want to see with a winning campaign, the fundraising advantage the next four months. cash on hand is important of course but the president has been running the last three years of course he will have a cash advantage. what is interesting to me and fundamentally important not just as a political end of a democrat but to see that margin closing with strong numbers for the vice president. jillian: this clip was on bill hammer reports yesterday. kate bedingfield, joe biden's campaign manager. >> we are seeing massive energy for biden across the country. we also just outraised the trump campaign for the second consecutive month, if that is a
1:37 am
measure of enthusiasm we are besting the trump campaign. >> do you think they are laughing the trump campaign right now? >> they are not laughing at the trump campaign, they are scared of the trump campaign. the $295 million cash advantage, thousands that we have deployed in places where the biden campaign doesn't even have that. we are ready, we have boots on the ground, we have a team and apparatus ready to get out the vote to win in november, they now we are making a difference on the black community, making a difference on job numbers with the economy roaring back, the biden team will try to keep him in the basement where he belongs. jillian: four months ago and covering every second of it. i was going to say every step in the way, combined two thoughts. thank you for joining us. todd: maybe these two should have been in the basement, coronavirus a break and the university of washington, more

1:39 am
todd: amy kellogg joining us as wineries reopened this week. you got the best assignment of everybody at fox this entire week. >> reporter: that is true and as people at home are thinking about firing up their barbecues, possibly throwing back a few beers this weekend, who knew that sicilian red hamburgers, that brings me to the point that italian wineries are roaring back to life after for many months they too had to simply deal with their clients remotely. >> we have the wineries. >> even if the tasting is virtual, this on the slopes of mount etna near its highest active volcano was one of the ways she tried to stay in touch with customers during italy's long lockdown.
1:40 am
sicily some say is the country's most exciting new wine frontier and the volcano plays a starring role, creating conditions that make for wines as good with fancy fair as they are with burgers and wings. the buzz about sicilian wine is building. the family has been in the business for six generations. >> if you look at the waters around here you look at them. >> sellers opened back up this week so tastings can go back to the real thing. it is paying off, the 2019 harvest is getting bottled up and reportedly there were some great grapes. >> i always say to everybody even if they make a very good wine. >> of course it has been said that wine consumption italy and elsewhere went up during

all records. america's economy is right to life like nobody has ever seen. >> as the country continues to bounce back, here to weigh in his university chief economist for the us international trade commission peter morici, good to see you, thanks for being here. let's take a look at the june unemployment report, 4.8 million jobs added. i know you know this but if people at home are watching, 11.one% unemployment rate. what do you think of these numbers? >> they are very encouraging especially the unemployment rate, some attire two months ago. we were missing people that were unemployed, now we've got them also to speak, so the unemployment rate has really come down a lot but there is the problem of new restrictions in place like texas and california, closing bars and what have you. hospitality is a really important aspect of this going
1:47 am
back to work and some of that will be rolled back but we have to consider that in northern cities they are starting to open up some more. we will get jobs reports going forward, maybe not 4.7 million every month but we will get good jobs reports. todd: jobless claims decreased from the the pandemic but nevertheless 48 million total claims over 15 weeks. do the math for me. what do we need to see in the next let's say quarter, let's say q3 to put the president in position to say i brought this economy back, vote for me? >> we are going to get the numbers especially in august, july there will be an adjustment because of what is happening in texas and california so that number will be depressed. than a bigger number 4 august. it is imperative we recognize a

lot of the jobs we lost are not coming back, bowing is laying people off because if you were flying and things of that nature, you will employ less people, we need another stimulus package. steve mnuchin talked about that in his briefing, democrats have a bill which is a real christmas tree but that provides the basis of negotiation. individuals and families and continuation of the unemployment benefits. jillian: let's listen to what the president said on this yesterday. >> i support it but it has to be done properly. i support larger numbers, it has to be done properly. it gave you would disincentive to work and we want to create an incentive to work. jillian: how can it be done properly? >> we need a combination of

stimulus payment and extended unemployment benefits such that you don't lose all your money if you go back to work so people have incentive to work. if i were in the president's shoes i would be looking for a monthly payment in the manner that new zealand has, with successful battle to combat the virus and keep people at home but also have continuing unemployment insurance, 350 a month, $400 a month so it will be a week so when you give that up you get more by going back to work and have the backstop on the stimulus payment. a little complex but i think we can structure this in a way that makes sense and i have confidence secretary mnuchin can be a bridge between the, crowd in the senate which is very conservative about this sort of
