so can he repeat that in november? campaign strategist john thomas, let's pop up the granite state, clinton only won by 0.3% and right now polls are early but biden has a 4.3% advantage in new hampshire right now. can the president flip new hampshire? >> anything is possible was you have to take polling with a grain of salt. the question about polling whether it is national polling versus state-by-state polling is polling is only as good as the modeling of the sample you put in it and in the era of covid-19, who is going to vote? will november look like 2016? hard to say. we have case studies that prove otherwise. there was a race in los angeles
1:37 am
county leaning democratic that had a special election a couple months ago snipped into republican hands from a democrat held seats. polling got that all wrong. the question is who is going to vote? hard to say. right now polling is more reflective of the president running against a generic democrat, not joe biden. joe is in hiding, hasn't come out from his basement the whole time so americans haven't seen that contrast with just trump begins to ramp up a hard contrast campaign, his vision for regrowing america versus biden hiding, protect radical leftists, leftists shredding statues, culture and history i think americans will side with the president and you will see a big shift in the polling. even today it is in the margin a are. todd: that is what you think on polling.

i want to switch to campaign strategy. the trump campaign wants to have states like new hampshire and new mexico, nevada and minnesota. shouldn't the president really be focusing on those key swing states that have a lot more electoral votes? wisconsin, michigan, pennsylvania where he won very narrowly in 2016. the focus the on getting those middle ground voters? >> absolutely right. in 2016 the key, one of the keys to his victory was he focused in the last two weeks, had rally after rally in critical battleground states that ended up deciding this election while hillary clinton ignored those key states. that is where the president needs to put in his time, pay
