fox news radio from nine to noon. and you know in each and every night, each and every morning to a fox & friends and don't forget the show, the sworn enemy of line come pomposity, smugness and groupthink. don't forget to dvr the show because tucker makes money every time someone dvrs the show. that's what i think. >> sean: three seconds late but who's counting? i am buying goya products for my local food bank. after b7-19 come a lot of people need help. fascinating, great show as always. welcome to "hannity" tonight. major new endorsements for president trump. alexandealexandria ocasio-corteg my dream in your taxes through the roof. bernie sanders heaping massive praise on joe biden's hard left turn, and bernie admitting that biden is now a radical socialist like him.
6:01 pm
we have a mini monologue coming up on that and so much more. first, our top story takes us to portland, oregon. another liberal city run by liberals for decades. unlawful, violent riots are turning the city into a literal disaster area and yeah, it looks like a war zone like other places. for months, portland has been ripped apart by socialist anarchists. three courthouses have not been damaged on multiple occasions. the hatfield courthouse was firebombed. the u.s. custom house was vandalized. police were attacked with lasers. several officers now assaulted with a sledgehammer's. stores were broken into, buildings were set on fire. this is insane. we're talking about dozens and dozens of assault, arson, graffiti, looting, vandalism, violence, you name it. so-called demonstrators even attempting to set up their own autonomous zone just like the chop, chas, summer of love,

spaghetti potluck dinner zone of seattle and so far businesses in the downtown area of portland have reported at least $23 million in financial losses. here's a small sample of what is taking place there on a daily basis. take a look. >> stay out of the street. on the sidewalk. [bleep] [sound of explosions]
6:03 pm
[indiscernible shouting] >> sean: this has now been going on for more than six straight weeks across the country. 12 dead police officers, 1200 injured and rocks and bricks and bottles and molotov cocktails. want to be a cop in portland tonight? not only are portland's far left city leaders letting this happen, there actively shutting any and all help from president trump, just like seattle, just like chicago and just like new york. how have things worked out in those three liberal-run cities for decades? in fact, when the dhs employed law enforcement officials to protect the city's federal buildings, they were accused of "acting like an occupying army." ted wheeler demanded the federal agents "follow local rules, all while rioters were acting with impunity. he went on to then tweet. the best thing they can do is stay inside their building or leave portland altogether, and in the meantime, ask them to

clean up the graffiti on local facilities. wow. tonight the acting dhs secretary is condemning the violence, refusing to stand down. he joins us live on the ground in portland. thank you for being with us. i guess the first question is, okay, in every case where the president has offered and given help, minneapolis, d.c. for example, things have gotten under control. seattle, we had reports and then confirmed by the president, he said yeah, we said we are going to go in, which precipitated finally the end of the chop zone where innocent people died. now it has happened in other cities, you see the violence in chicago, new york, other places, so now you are going to get lectured by a mayor who is doing nothing to stop the violence or protect businesses in that city. >> thank you for having me and that is exactly right. earlier this week i called not only the mayor but the governor.
6:05 pm
i offered dhs support to help them locally address the situation and their only response was please pack up and go home. that is just not going to happen on my watch so we need to make sure we are supporting our law enforcement officers here and making sure that they are going to continue to protect the courthouse. that is what the dhs does. that is our mission, we are not going to advocate our mission, responsibilities, however with the local leadership is telling us, we're going to do our job, we are going to do it professionally but we are not going to have these violent anarchists who show up about the same time every night for a series of hours and having that federal destruction to property. i was able to tour the courthouse, i saw the graffiti, the broken windows, the broken doors. there is a facility right across the street from the courthouse that has 47 coats of paint on it. you have to the facility every night after he gets graffiti. it's time we take a stand, it's
6:06 pm
time the local leaders here publicly condemn with the violent anarchists are doing. and only them i think will local police get this under control. >> sean: i've been saying if you like what is happening in seattle, new york and other places, cities run by liberal democrats for decades, that would be a preview of coming attractions if joe biden is elected. i'm trying to wrap my mind around this, you're offering to help create safety and security for the people of portland. the president has offered all of these cities. now, he can constitutionally use the 1807 insurrection act but the president has also said that he is going to go in and he is going to restore order in these war zones. what will that entail? we are going to hear apparently very soon. >> absolutely, and again, we continue to offer that support specifically here in portland,
6:07 pm
wanting to make sure that they have enough assets, whether it's personnel, capabilities and that was my direct ask and offer to the mayor and again, the only response was please pack up and go home. again, i ask the mayor and i ask others, what do you think is going to occur? we are going to have a courthouse, federal facilities overrun by these violent anarchists. what i'm asking you, all state and local leaders here in portland, in oregon, is come out specifically and publicly condemn these violent anarchists, because otherwise you're creating an environment, you are fostering an that continues to breed this type of lawlessness. we sell this back in 2018 unfortunately here in portland where they set siege to a i.c.e. facility for over 28 days. this is the type of environment again that is fostered here. we've had enough of it, we're going to continue to protect the courthouse and you ar do our mit the end of the day.
6:08 pm
>> sean: that is mind-numbing to me, protecting a business, protecting our citizens, safety and security. without safety and security you cannot have life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. it's impossible. historic monuments all across the country continue to be destroyed. today, statues in saratoga, new york, commemorating union soldiers who helped free, that was completely destroyed. kevin mccarthy is now introducing legislation that would strip funding for state and local government who do not protect these monuments. joining me now is house republican leader kevin mccarthy. tell us about the plan. we see the president now is offering all of these cities with all of this violence in all of this destruction help. they keep refusing it. go home but first clean up the graffiti, wow. let's talk about what this will do. >> this is protect american statues because what we want to do is tell the history.
6:09 pm
when you watch saint sarah get torn down or you watch uss grant, you watch christopher columbus, you watch frederick douglass. this is a real challenge because we have local officials who have a responsibility for the rule of law. why don't they have greater regards for the rule of law instead of encouraging the mob to tear it down? if they do that, if they allow that to happen then why should federal dollars flow to that city? we withhold grants and others. encouragement to restore the rule of law back into this nation, that is what we are doing. >> sean: we are supposed to be a nation of laws and by any definition, this would be vandalism. if they would like to use the legislative process, i give everybody the right to do so. i'm a big believer in freedom of speech. not in anarchy, not in violence, not in arson or looting or, you know, assault that is now ongoing against innocent police officers that are trying to serve and protect.
6:10 pm
the 99%, as i say. the president has constitutional authority to act. he's being very clear up, he saying he will go into the cities where people are not safe and secure. the death count every weekend, shooting count every weekend. what will the president, how is the president best able to help when he offers help and help arrives and it's told to go home and clean up the graffiti? >> we watch a time again when this president took action to stop this, where the local authorities tried to push it away. watched the states push it away. it's not just those in seattle. look at the highest office. the speaker of the house, in her own district, saint sarah was torn down. a statue we prayed with the pope in 2015 and she said nothing. in her hometown of baltimore when christopher columbus was thrown over when she was asked about that, she said people will do what people will do.
6:11 pm
the job of the speaker of the house is to write law, not encourage people to break it. >> sean: let me ask you about the election and it's fair to say, biden and obama, his home city of chicago, barely mentioned the violence and the thousands shot, the thousands killed when they were president and vice president. they didn't make any changes after ferguson or after baltimore. donald trump it criminal justice reform and donald trump to police reform and the records shattered, record low unemployment for every minority group in this country come every demographic group in this country. what you make of -- i think the presidential campaign has changed. now biden has these gone with, oh, the police have become the enemy and we will reallocate funds, defund the police movement. he is adopted and plagiarized bernie sanders' economic agenda, aoc's new green deal agenda, which i don't know how we will ever pay for. and of course he's got gun conference skater and that bozo
6:12 pm
o'rourke, and schumer, nancy pelosi, biden, 105 years of combined failure. do the republicans begin coalescing around a message of nationalizing the selection, if you elect us, we will? >> you are exactly right. it should be very simple, something president trump says a lot. we should rebuild, renew, and restore this nation. that means building it back to the strongest economy we've ever had. it's a great contrast between president trump and joe biden. you know who can rebuild it. who is best to stand up to china? we know that is an easy answer too. who is best to make sure your children should be taught again. not if your schools will open but how they will open. protect your children and protect your teachers going forward. you're right about this being an important election but it's more important then we watched in the past. if we do not win this election i don't know if we will ever have an opportunity to win it again
6:13 pm
because they will change the rules of the game. how we vote will change. you know, in california they allow people who are not even citizens to vote in the school board races? you know in california they lowered the age to 17? do you know in california that you can turn your ballot in 17 days after the election? these are things they are doing right now. that is what they will go across the country. this is what the democrats proposed in their number one bill. they will expand the supreme court, there won't be 50 states, there will be 52 states. these are the things they drive too. we want to focus on bringing this country back, rebuilding it, restoring it and that means law and order and justice. that means the idea that we have a strong economy going forward, that the next century will be ours and we will be prepared to make sure that your children will have the greatest opportunity any generation before them. >> sean: 110 days and i would argue that again, biden, pelosi

6:15 pm
this comes as new york city continues to experience a wave of violence that has only gotten worse. 231% increase in shootings over 2019. last week alone, 99% of the people involved in these shootings were minorities, african-americans and hispanic americans. we should do this horrific video from the brooklyn bridge. the mob assaulting. look at slow-motion, look at the cop in the white shirt there assaulting an nypd officers. the reason canes and bats and other objects in broad daylight. the cop is looking the other way. we will run it one more time. entering the city's police chief, because that is who he is here, slow-motion come he's not even looking. winding up and plastering this man on his head. that strike can kill somebody and as you can see with your own eyes, it is scary what is

happening. all of these big cities, they've all been run by liberal democrats for decades. comrade de blasio, he couldn't be more proud. listen to this insanity. >> we now have fewer people in our jails than any time since world war ii, and we are safer for it and better for it. >> sean: he's probably the palmist politician, although quan was giving him a run for his money. here's a thought, i wonder if the massive spike in violence has anything to do with him and cuomo of course, he's the one letting violent criminals, you go in, they take your fingerprints in your picture, you go right out and join the anarchy, rabobank, whatever you want to do. maybe that has something to do with de blasio ending stop and frisk. maybe this increase in crime, getting rid of the most productive anti-crime unit in new york. maybe it has to do with de blasio, genius that he is,

impossible for lawful resident in new york city to have a firearm in their home and now the safe city that de blasio inherited from rudy giuliani and even i've been critical of mayor bloomberg, he did a very good job maintaining those policies, even drove the murder rates down further and as the city becomes less and less safe, he has de blasio patting himself on the back. in 110 days, this is what is at stake. you want your neighborhood to turn into new york city or one of these liberal cities like chicago, new york, baltimore, portland, seattle? without safety and security, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is impossible. how do you pursue happiness when you are not safe? president trump is now bowing to restore order while maintaining your constitutional rights. democrats, they're stoking these flames of division. they are now allowing these rioters and anarchists to get out of control, vowing to

transform this country into a socialist hell hole. joining us now, dan bongino and geraldo. usually in a primary, people run to their base. usually in a general election, candidates moved to the center. the only person who has not this whole time i would argue is president trump. biden now is so desperate to shore up his base he is now embracing the insane economic policies of bernie. he has now called the police the enemy. not one time i've heard him stand up for the police. we have over 1,200 injured and 12 dead and then he says, oh, yeah, i am for reallocating funds away from the police. then alexandria ocasio-cortez on the new deal environment and bozo or work on gun confiscation, then you've got to be vyvanse before, what if they ever done but made promises 125 years combined. does this work? because this is the most
