historyca lesson about you. that's coming tonight. first we start with the carnage in chicago. chaos in portland. violent crime surging in nearly every major city in america. democratic mayors, democratic governors have failed in their most basic duty, and that is the most basic responsibility, to maintain law and order. they have failed and people are dying and being shot as a result. they have failed to keep their neighborhoods safe, failed to prevent violent crime as a result. men, women, and children are dying. our fellow americans are dying. these mayors are literally twiddling their thumbs and playing politics. philadelphia's top prosecutor is bowing to arrest any federal law enforcement agent that are sent to the city. president trump is taking action. today in a major press conference, he announced the expansion of what's called "operation legend," that's a federal program started in kansas city, named after a

4-year-old boy who was killed by gunfire while asleep in his own bed. more than 100 federal officers to chicago, 35 to albuquerque without having a problem, in order to help take violent criminals off the streets. mayors aren't doing it, the governors aren't doing it. listen to the president. speak of the citizens of chicago are citizens of america and they have the same right asy other american to leave in the safety, dignity, peace.ty no mother should ever have to cradle her dead child in her arms simply because politicians refused to do what is necessary to secure their neighborhoods and to secure their city. every american with them in the matter their income, their race, their zip code, should be able to walk their city streets free from violence, free from fear. for this reason today, i am announcing that the department of justice will immediately surge federal law enforcement to the city of chicago.

us through what you would do differently next year.en he then makes seven statements.. every one of the recommendations he is going to do next year is already being done. he says, i've been talking about the defense production act. well, president trump used that in march and he says we need to have everyone wear masks. well, the cdc and white house coronavirus task force recommended that months ago. he said we need to make certain difficult businesses make sure they stay alive for that's called the cares act and it has nearly $900 billion in forgivable loans to small businesses. we need to make sure that nobody who has covid has to pay for itc well, the president already did that months ago. we did have somebody in command right now in order to oversee the production and attribution of the vaccine. that person is in place, in general the head ofe the army materials command and president trump appointed him on may 15th to do exactly that job.

he said, we need to spend $25 billion to do that. congress appropriated $10 billion from the department of health and human services but they found billions more and they are spending it. if they need more, they'll get more from congress. he's given a great opportunity. tell us what you did differently and all seven things he lays out are things you administration has already done. can the guy come up with one new idea? just one? that's all we ask for. spew and be travel ban the first ten days. also against the quarantine. countless, hundreds of other americansan contracting the virs because of it, gave him the time to build the ppe when needed and the ventilators. donald trump did all that and he did it again to the recommendations. all those three things he was against, and they've saved lives.
