tv The Greg Gutfeld Show FOX News August 2, 2020 10:00pm-11:00pm PDT
10:00 pm
america. thanks for joining us. come back again next sunday when the next revolution will be televised. justice has been served. go to my website. greg gutfeld is next. greg: they call this a hearing but it was like lord of the flies meets early onset dementia and is not meant to be funny. >> is not a question it is a statement. >> i did not ask your question. >> please refrain from interrupting me. >> you said get it done. >> let me just tell you are starting to lose my temper i want you to provide the
10:01 pm
provide us are don't have answers to. >> i haven't seen that many dumbbells in one place since my gym close. but yet we pay those people to pull this crap another people. america, the land of the taxpayer-funded witch trials that was the bill bar hearing by the house judiciary committee but a contest between democrats and who could sound the most like ed deprived imbecile. i call the bird brains but i don't want to offend the audubon society. who one? of this bozo? the president donald trump and the attorney general working together. they are letting americans die needlessly because of political reasons.
10:02 pm
>> or this bozo? >> you are suggesting fear and violence nationwide in pursuit of obvious political objectives. shame on you mr. t15 spent the justice department is responsible for protecting the constitutional right of americans not to serve as the president's personal bully or political director. >> or this those oh part two? >> can we take a five-minute break mr. chairman? >> now spec that's a common courtesy given to every witness. >> i waited one hour for you this morning. like to take a five-minute break. >> we are almost finished. >> here we go. >> what a jackass. all of them. and they introduced new catchphrase.
10:03 pm
>> reclaiming my time. >> reclaiming my time. >> without political bias. >> reclaiming my time. >> reclaiming my time. >> i'm answering your question. >> let him answer. >> i am reclaiming my time. >> reclaiming my time. >> reclaiming my time. >> a lack of respect. greg: i am really surprised. that didn't look planned. they certainly didn't get together before hand and call him a murderer and a traitor then forbid him from responding using a phrase a purple haired protester may yell at the portland police that is like a creepy doll might say if you found in an addict except they just pulled it over and over again. check out how he dispenses. >> are you aware the director
10:04 pm
of the church archbishop of washington and presiding bishop along with a catholic bishop of the archdiocese of washington all denounced this police assault on the civil rights and civil liberties of the people? >> did they do that before or after the fire was put out? >> all they know they denounced what you did. greg: [laughter] bill t15 should check is vendor for a hairpiece you whenever something really stupid. how does the media cover it so seriously this enraged anchor had to take off her glasses to talk about it. >> what is hold accountable look like? are there consequences. >> we have many actions are consequences. >> we want people to know we have to hold them accountable to the american people. you saw him yesterday he spoke over the top of every one of us in particular he spoke of
10:05 pm
her women. greg: [laughter] the media watches large powermad freaks and then someone that's answering their questions voluntarily and then he is looked at as the oppressor. today we have a media and a party endorses intolerance not only on the street and online betting governance it approached mob rule. no wonder they spent all of their time defending those mobs you cannot tell them apart and to protect to them these hacks cap doing the bait and switch with peaceful protesters so when t15 try to say they were stopping violent offenders they say how do you go after peaceful protesters that is their only defense the overwhelming majority were peaceful protesters.
10:06 pm
that doesn't matter you don't need a majority of something awful to create something truly awful. there were only four people in the red hot chili peppers if there's only one serial killer that's not a problem? it was fun to watch mr. t15 to swat them away like buzzing flies he barely flinched could any of us have kept our cool like bill t15? just change one vowel and imagine if it was bill burr. >> shame on you. >> just grow up sitting around waiting other people to do it for you. start your own. [bleep] you have brains right? greg: that's right. [laughter] i can dream but bill t15 could only grin he reminded me of law enforcement dealing with writers with these disguised losers to chuck metal objects and explosive devices at them and actually blinded three officers permanently with
10:07 pm
lasers. the police who did the job risking life and limb it's amazing this courtship between the committee and the mob not only who defended these anarchist but inspired by them and became them right before your eyes. the democrats went one step closer to removing the barriers between peace and civil war to placate those horrible's defiling our streets. hold on. teetwelve what is that on your finger? >> my engagement ring. >> cool so it's no surprise 100 law enforcement agencies have withdrawn from guarding the national convention and why should they? of course we know protest will come in turn violent what do they expect them to protect
10:08 pm
them they will be demonized and arrested. and to be expected to respond to violent riots it is a lose lose situation. that's what you saw this week is spreading through party as mob the virus they are now moving on to the justice system can you imagine what they do and the cameras turn off? got healthy of the cameras don't come after you or me then it will not be bill t15 it could be all of us will convene tonight's guest harvard alumni how to destroy america daily wire talk then schapiro. he makes more sense than the arcade change maker fox news contributor charlie hurt.
10:09 pm
her look at that. if there is real is his unicycle and host a "fox nation" tyrus. then. but is your take on the hearings? how is this good for america? >> it isn't. we did see something new i didn't know people can sit there with her head so far up their own asked to come out there face again we saw that repeatedly from those democrats who made fools of themselves. i never saw someone who we claim to their time and from witness to his answer your question that you dislike more idiotic. greg: that's true and every hearing they get worse. charlie, i don't think i could hate a group of people more.
10:10 pm
i hated the violent activist in portland but i think i hate these people more. >> [laughter] that's a good point. i think i share that condemnation. but i do think it is an indication of how effective bill t15 bill bar was you can always tell who it is they fear the most by who it is they acted the most ridiculous with the way they attacked donald trump or george w. bush back in 2004 a war criminal, dick cheney were criminal, the more ridiculous the attack the more effective that person is. nobody in the trump administration has been more effective than bills barr the reason he has done what he has done he has tried to protect protesters right to free speech and reassembly but you
10:11 pm
can't do that if people are firebombing police stations and blinding police officers and burning down storefronts. greg: yes. tyrus, i always envision a fantasy of you being involved in the situation like in the riots and in this case what would happen if someone denied you the opportunity of going to the bathroom? what would you have done? >> they would have gotten a special show. [laughter] i wouldn't have taken any either i would have stood at attention and told them i am taking five minutes it would have been an awkward long five minutes that is the only thing i wish the ag would have said i try to be cool and say it
10:12 pm
was lunch but excuse me. and levon his microphone when he does it that the seriousness of this they are painting this picture we get the look of the totalitarian government against the people with storm troopers and federal buildings and that narrative is starting to get a lot of traction where people see the evil bar and the evil president trump and anyone that supports them doesn't care about the people during a time in the middle of a pandemic when everyone should care about the people. we have to be careful how we respond. barr did a good job he was
10:13 pm
literally accused of everything except spread on - - spreading coronavirus himself. if you are the one - - argue with ignorant you can't so it is unfortunate to watch. greg: you are a libertarian cat does that make you more of a libertarian or just violent? >> i just a libertarian so i can have this job. i'm kidding. but that's the entire point. so why are you handling this? so civil liberty i'm a huge advocate i am call than advocate but burning buildings down is not among those
10:14 pm
liberties. anyone could have said things are bad in portland. still let's not let this distract us the need of criminal justice reform and police reform which we do need and those are issues i have been passionate about for years as well. they can't do that. everything is fine in portland when we can all see videos of things on fire. it just distracts from the real conversation if they really do care about these issues then focus on the solutions in a real way when you are just politicizing it and it's so stupid. i don't say anything is okay. engulfed in flames? that's not okay. greg: i'm just noticing that for some reason tonight cat is using her hands a lot more when talking. that's so weird. [laughter]
10:15 pm
congratulations. don't forget about my upcoming live show in massachusetts. we will be safely socially distancing in cars. talk about my new book on sale now for information. how is this affected by covid daddy, is that where we're from? well, actually...we're from a lot of places. you see we're from here and there and here... your family's story is waiting to be shared. at ancestry.com
10:18 pm
simon pagenaud takes the lead at the indy 500! coming to the green flag, racing at daytona. they're off... in the kentucky derby. rory mcllroy is a two time champion at east lake. he scores! stanley cup champions! touchdown! only mahomes. the big events are back and xfinity is your home for the return of live sports.
10:19 pm
10:20 pm
so then i went for a run for now i'm getting faster and faster. and with that health strategy to help people to bring their weight down. greg: even the dog looks british. so he singled out a huge problem but he put it on himself. so he's leading by example and does a service to the world by necessary focus on a risk factor of the disease that the media will not touch with a 10-foot thermometer. meanwhile in germany bondage clubs in berlin have been given permission to reopen if everyone wears a mask. we saw this committee on - - coming of he said meanwhile in germany but it's odd wearing a mask to a bondage club where they are already wearing a mask. alec baldwin has a hairy back.
10:21 pm
>> all good. >> everybody debates going back to schools but what about your s and m dungeon cracks why are we leaving that out? >> there goes your nightlife you'll have to make some changes. we all hope you make the wise changes we want you to stay safe and healthy. but it is another example if you watch the william barr hearing with the better political system than great britain.
10:22 pm
here we are 200 years later and the monarchy still does it better than we knew it. boris johnson leads them on the front not from behind but to be a good example. what if gerald nadler took up the cause of america losing weight and way himself out there is somebody who should lose a few pounds. it would do wonders. greg: and you and i both use this opportunity of the pandemic tyrus to focus on her weight. i guess the media will talk about that they are afraid of offending people. >> that goes without saying. taking care of yourself is ridiculous. if he identifies as a pillow
10:23 pm
who are we to say that shame on us for saying that. bad a couple things with boris johnson it's great he's fit when he said a run with the dog that was walking and it's very gentle for i am walking still. that is not running that is gently walking. [laughter] and then looking at the bondage thing the appropriate way and then you can put the safe words on your mask put it on your mask and then your
10:24 pm
experience does not get any more awkward. for whatever it is that you do in the basement. now they just point and say take the gas mask off andrew in the moment. it's a win for everybody. >>. greg: a good summary of my life. bondage clubs are not getting the attention they deserve. they seem strapped right now i know you wanted to make that joke. greg: now that i heard it out loud i feel sad. >> i want to murder on - - moved to berlin. if you are, that's fine.
10:25 pm
and feel of they are that cool with bondage they will not be judgmental. but then to go somewhere were i could buy some toys and nicotine you can't do that in this country. berlin has the right idea. >> they both have a mind field. >> and with that german bondage club and it sounds like they are whipping people into shape. and to be cut so far against body positivity movement if you object because people are obese then it's your problem.
10:26 pm
10:30 pm
ashley: live from america's newsroom, i'm ashley strohmier. tropical storm isaias setting its sights on the carolinas. it could be close to hurricane trent when it makes landfall monday. it could hit carols utter banks. an evacuation order remains in effect for hatteras island. a rapidly growing fire in southern california ex pleasing in size overnight scorching 0,000 acres of dry brush and timber. mercury hitting 109 degrees sunday. the fire broke out forcing 8,000 people to flee their homes.
10:31 pm
i'm ashley strohmier. back in 28 she was shot in the face in 2008 the world longest face transplant patient and is 57. now back to "the greg gutfeld show". greg: biden and in hiding. fire falsely publishing an article saying kamala harris is chosen as a running mate they took it down and apologize for the premature publication. there is a pill for that also is talking points there were no notes for anyone else however. meanwhile a recent campaign event joe was confused where he was and played it off as a joke. >> good afternoon everyone.
10:32 pm
welcome to the kingswood community center. actually that's the one where i used to work. that's a joke. it's great to be here. greg: that went over really well during that same speech he said he would be one of the most regressive presidents of all time. notwithstanding the fact that we have laid out the most detailed plans on the economy and issues of healthcare of any president in modern history i'll go down is one of the most progressive presidents in american history. >> may be doesn't know where he is he moved so far to the left.
10:33 pm
greg: somehow i saw the ending differently. tyrus, you travel a lot do you have any advice how to remember where you are? the right down the city on your hand? >> that would be a good idea or that you are only allowed to go four or 5 miles from your basement baby just take polaroid or ask before you go out there or have somebody introduce you. he comes out before him and says what's up delaware so all that is clear before he goes out there and doesn't have to do that. the republican party need some tough love joe biden is a crafty is old white man of all
10:34 pm
time. we thought that was president trump. no. was joe biden. trump is a fighter and he's very good at fighting and very good at engagement. joe just steps out looks around throws a job then goes back in and closes the door and doesn't talk to anybody and it drives the president crazy because nobody will fight with them. he's so mad he's picking on doctor fauci. he is looking for a fight. [laughter] every time hillary got in a fight with him she lost. maybe not the same joe biden of 20 years ago but he is not that senile to know to fight with president trump is a bad move so i won't so i refuse so whenever he's hit with jab he doesn't fight back. 's. >> i have this image of biden and the bird and a cuckoo clock. [laughter] >> wear a mask.
10:35 pm
>> is it just a coincidence that they are seeing authority happened with kamala harris? >> i think he is i would not be surprised. if he just wanders around and sound comes out of his face. that's good campaign tactic. greg: i think, will be a bp that she is a copout as she swing that quick. >> that's a problem that would be a real hindrance and don't forget the reason the political misfire was a misfire because the campaign hadn't yet told joe biden who the vp nominee will be.
10:36 pm
that's a problem and it does reveal just how cynical the democrats have become. with any other circumstances would be nothing short of elder abuse. he has these moments of clarity where he realizes everybody is snickering about the fact he never knows where he is so he makes a joke about it. a bad joke about it. and then talks about how progressive he will be. it's a hostage situation. telling him what the hostage takers are telling him to say and sadly like you said, it's probably a pretty good campaign tactic in the current environment. greg: i saw you almost jump out of your chair to charlie's question. joe says he's the most progressive how could he pick
10:37 pm
a police officer unless they condone the police? >> exactly. just goes to show even with everything going on, identity politics is such a driving force in the democratic party. kamala harris is a black woman but not only just a cop but i have written about her prosecutorial record. the side that to stand on the side of the accused she would uphold convictions on technicalities at any reasonable person would have a concern about. she would only backtrack if there was public pressure on her to do so. it's more about her keeping her power than any concern. completely ridiculous and with joe biden thing he can just walk around and not know where
10:38 pm
he is all the time and played off as a joke if i came to work and did not know where i was i could not make a joke about it because i would be too busy having to answer the various serious question would you like to be fired or take a few months off or go to rehab for your exhaustion. greg: it is always exhaustion. i made it to age 55 and without ever having to use that excuse and that is amazing. >> i consider that an achievement in my life. >> i you could do that. nobody told me. [laughter]
10:43 pm
greg: does each passing summer become more of a bummer? a new survey said they had the summer of their life at 14 years old that is 30 years ago for teetwelve. some say summer loses its magic as we get older once you add in adult responsibilities like getting a job. but the best part of those summers was having spontaneous adventures with friends. i can relate i toured with new kids on the block i was the only one with chest hair people said they hope to re-create their favorite childhood activities this year like camping in the woods or swimming in the pool to dismember a drifter.
10:44 pm
although i'm not sure kids have all the summer fun. >> what was your favorite summer and why? >> it's hard to pick one favorite. it was 2016 i was in a horrible relationship with a guy who did not like me and abusive and trauma but then we were all playing pokémon go. i love that. there are adventures for me emotional push me before i mentally break. good or bad all around.
10:45 pm
the end. greg: and then? what is your take on your best summer quick. >> it wasn't i was a teenager i was already in college being beaten up so i will go growing from 5-foot 2 inches to a solid 5-foot 9 inches i finally got married and had a life. anytime in the last 12 years. >> sorry. [laughter] greg: i forgot you spent your childhood in college when those who were in college acted like children you word the adult you are like michael j fox on steroids. [laughter] >> and also the same height. [laughter] greg: charlie your favorite summer? >> i was not in college as a young man. college was not good for me. but at 14 i had a great summer.
10:46 pm
but the best summer i would pick this summer was the best summer of my life. the kids are home. there's been a lot of challenges and misery obviously. but they are home have done more fishing with my kids then since i became an adult. it was the unexpected blessing in a lot of ways. greg: interesting. the glass half-full. and scotch in my case. >> first of all congratulations on being engaged. you can let it go now. you are engage. let it go. it's over your good. but honestly all my summers keep getting better the more grown you get the more money you make you have to have
10:47 pm
summer when you were a kid now it summer all year round i travel the world i'm on summer vacation permanently. between 30 and 35 minutes. then you get a paycheck and then i go back to my summer vacation i am living the dream. >> i was going to say that is where you lost your virginity. >> not yet for me. >> amsterdam. >> amsterdam. >> you have a lot to look forward to. >> it's all downhill from there. there. greg: that's true.
10:48 pm

destroy america in three easy steps. so we will read both of these out loud at the same time for 12 hours straight. actually we will just interview each other so you have twice the benefit in half the time. you don't get this on fox and friends. so i go first what are the three steps to destroy america? >> the philosophy, culture and history and the philosophy of the declaration of independence and tolerance of other people's rights and entrepreneurship in the history rooted in the declaration of independence with the attempts to rectify the principles of the declaration of independence over time by stumbling and falling. i have a question for you. all of your books have your face on the cover is that because you're unbelievably handsome or your ego has no limit?
10:53 pm
greg: i will tell you i never wanted my face on the cover. but when i told it to the book publisher they say you idiot. you are on television. they recognize you. do you think they will buy your book with your name on it? know. they will see your face but yet i am gorgeous that is true. it is true but has to the fact i'm on television and they think it would be a tremendous waste if my face is not on it. but i'm tired of seeing my face even in the mirror. are you worried that people will compare our books because they are at the same time or not worried at all because you are so much smarter and better? become super worried because your book as your face you are unbelievably handsome people don't like reading words and they don't like the logos. i'm worried you wrote a self-help book any other genre you like to explore like teen
10:54 pm
girl fiction? greg: [laughter] i think i can do any kind of genre. erotica is my next one. i had experience writing for pent-up on - - penthouse letters i did for a brief period of time. maybe for about two weeks and in about a three or five minutes first it was depressing. your book is super timely. when did you finish the book and did you know when it came out we would have a pandemic and riots and discontent? >> if it is the book in january i thought it would be in time for the election i didn't realize how timely but then it made more sense to me. so in your book what is a
10:55 pm
wisdom weekend a physical week? greg: [laughter] do you know what? there may not be one. it is defined as somebody who collects save menagerie friends and influencers who help them with different things. so if you need a philosophical answer you have somebody who's really good at philosophy or somebody really good with fitness you have that person so you rely on an entourage of intelligence. isn't that a good answer? >> it is. >> but i have never actually seen one before so maybe they are identical. we have run out of time your book is excellent it will do great. i cannot look at my book anymore because i'm sick of
