positively. a 13-year-old kid helps teach to fix his stutter and things like that of that nature but the interesting thing is he put his family front and center. it does the character reference it reveals a weakness for something that has been covered a lot but we haven't heard about lately, hunter biden was featured prominently. hunter biden, one of joe biden's sons took a 50,$000 per month role with burisma, ukrainian company and while that seems interesting on its own merit because he never worked in energy before at the same time joe biden started to go after the top prosecutor in ukraine, prosecuting the guy who ran berries lower hunter biden was serving on the board. there are big ethical questions the president's team will be

incredibly strong speech, connected with the american people, but the where they are, met their anxiety, their pain, he was hopeful and optimistic about the future. donald trump has failed as a leader, the worst american president in history, joe biden and kamala harris will be elected in november and that is the way it is. jillian: your reaction to the numbers in the polls, i prefaced this by saying polls change, they are changing in favor of the president. >> you will see a bump in joe biden's numbers after the convention and what we have seen, the president has gone up and down slightly but never reaches out to anybody outside his base. his base is not enough for him to win and that is what we will see. the numbers across the country, far behind joe biden in places

like texas. the map is shrinking for donald trump and every single day as we get closer to the election. todd: how big a bump will biden get from the >> what do you make of the closing by the president? >> we started at 11:00 pm last night. i don't think many people were watching. if you look at the ratings for the entire convention they were pretty low. we will see if the rnc does better but the convention has been a bust so i don't expect much of a bump. the polls are tightening and to the point about the worst president ever, these poll numbers are obviously bad for him, we all heard this stuff four years ago the trump was going to lose and i was thinking the same thing but he surprised us on election day in the polls are showing a lot tighter in

sanders. there was a lot of confusion surrounding that. sanders is clearing that up saying it is totally customary for the primary runner-up to be formally nominated at the dnc and he asked her to be one of the people to do that for him. he is also saying the dnc didn't invite her to speak at all. he gave her that airtime and he is upset with the dnc for inviting more republicans to speak them progressive voices. ocasio cortez is upset with nbc news for misleading tweet pointing out she did not endorse joe biden, that was not her intended purpose of speaking, she posted a tweet saying waited several hours to correct your obvious misleading tweet, sparked enormous amount of hatred and vitriol and the misinformation is circulating on other networks generating hate clicks from a pre-recorded routine procedural motion.

democrats to address the unrest and why it is so important for them to? joining me live is retired nypd lieutenant joe cardinal. thank you for being here. joe, i will start with you. why are we not hearing much about it, we didn't hear about it at all this week? >> they hide behind the cover of their real agenda. they have no desire to put this on the front page, this is really what it is all about and that is not what their agenda is. they have their tunnel vision and will proceed the way they've been proceeding like it never happened and hundreds of americans are getting assaulted and it is going to continue and get worse because their main objective is that white house and they will take it at any cost. jillian: on one hand it is going on in a lot of major cities

across the country, for people who need to hear the messaging about the violence and what is going on this impacts far beyond the city where this is happening, it does impact suburban voters. a lot of people who live in suburbs, restaurants, their kids might be going into the city, this does extends beyond the city. >> absolutely. i want to say something as well. as a democrat not every democrat is afraid to call out violence when they see it. perpetrators when it happens, like many politicians have become so accustomed to blaming some amorphous social issue as opposed to the demons in our own neighborhood. i made it part of my career to address that knowing it is not popular. an interesting result, brought

more people to the camp who have a sense that we have to protect our neighborhoods and cities and have to end this perception that violence has no warriors standing against it. >> point taken but why are we not hearing much about this at the dnc? >> i'm disappointed we did not address this was we cannot ignore a certain amount of lawlessness across the country. social justice are good things but when co-opted by individuals organizing agitation for twisted different agenda we have to call that out too. losing political points because the far extremists are trying to co-opt this moment.
