jillian: police say they are investigating the shooting telling the milwaukee journal and the new york times one person is dead. and 8:00 pm curfew went unheeded as protests led to more violent confrontations, between rival protest groups. jacob blake was shot by officers responding to a domestic dispute. so that in the cell phone video. three of blake's children witnessed the shooting like the 20 jillian: family of 6 is paralyzed and may not walk again but his mother is sitting for peace. >> what is going on, the violence and destruction, he would be very not pleased with all the police officers, i am praying for you and your families. >> the national guard was

deployed to discourage more distraction and middle berries were set up to protect the city's courthouse and city buildings. in kenosha county, blocked to keep people out. they have only made 16 arrests so far saying the violence is unsafe for police to respond, when you go into a group of 500 or thousand and pull people out you have created a riot. you have bricks being thrown at you. the chef expects to make more arrests after checking surveillance video. one wisconsin lawmaker calling for more security amid the violence. >> we need to make sure we provide the resources needed to restore that public safety. your heartbreaks. i've received so many phone calls, people have lost their livelihoods, people that are scared, what is going to play out in kenosha. jillian: a lawyer for jacob blake's family says they plan to

file a civil rights lawsuit. todd: hurricane laura strengthened into a category 2 storm, expected hit louisiana and texas this evening, more than half 1 million people ordered to evacuate along the gulf coast. jillian: laura is excited to make landfall as a category 3 hurricane with 105 mile-per-hour windss, 13 feet storm surge. janice dean has been tracking its every movement and joins us live with more on the 5 am update. >> 5 am update has a stronger storm is a make landfall. the national hurricane center thinks this is going to be a category 4 as it makes its approach to the texas louisiana coastline, 110 mile-per-hour sustained winds, one mile shy of a category 3 storm, we thought rapid intensification last night. the next 12 to 24 hours expecting another bump up to

prospects ask what are we doing to bring jobs back and the answer has to be we are giving businesses the capacity to open again, giving them incentives to hire and invest. if we are doing those things the american economy has proven it can create jobs. donald trump is talking about lower taxes, lower regulations, the kinds of things that help businesses bring workers back, give them a reason to reinvest, joe biden is talking about regulation, talking about higher taxes, talking about a green new deal that reinvents the economy in ways that can be disruptive to some of the industries that are hiring, can be disruptive to energy and transportation so if you're looking ahead at the future, whose focus is on jobs right now, during the rnc you are seeing donald trump talk repeatedly about job creation, your seen joe biden promising but he can't run on the kind of
