jim crow and all of the racial prejudices, the thing that really held them together was the family unit and the faith in god. we see some of these movements cropping up now that are pushing god to the side, that don't recognize the traditional family unit. as a result of that, you find the families falling part. the kids are growing up without a real compass and without a person or system to help them differentiate between right and wrong. with no guidance, they become very easy prey for others who come along and say we are the answer. if you use your brain and think, you will have a hard time coming up with a situation where violence and hatred create a nice situation for everybody. >> bill: we watched all 4

nights. there were prominent african-americans who came out every night. clearly there is a message to win them over. why should they listen? >> well, what they should do is looking and see what has happened. what is happening. you look at before the covid-19 pandemic game came along. the lowest unemployments rate ever for african-americans. the decreasing poverty rates and increasing property values. these are the kind of things that actually mean something to individuals. those are the things that they really need to be looking at. stop listening to the purveyors of hatred. we have people trying to convince others they are victims. then you also have a bunch of people being convinced they should feel guilty.

argument, steve? >> well, first of all, this idea that the republicans want to protect their rich friends. there are two tax cuts on the table. one is donald trump's plan to cut the payroll tax for 140 million americans who make less than $100,000. the democrats alternative is give a tax cut where 60% goes to millionaires and billionaires. they want to give the biggest tax cut to the richest 1%. >> bill: this is another one. biden tweeted that the trump inherited a good economy from obama and he squandered it. >> i wrote a book about what we did. the economy was growing at 1.5 percent. trump got that up to 3%.
