you will read more about the surrender. i would urge you to get that book as well. great story. great people in it. thank you for being here tonight. that's "the story." we will see you tomorrow. have a great evening, everybody. ♪ ♪ >> tucker: good evening and welcome to "tucker carlson tonight." this is one of those moments when there is so much lying, so much relentless bewildering mind, that it's worth taking three steps back and considering the obvious. here is the most obvious thing. for three months, joe biden's borders have trashed our countries. they have beaten and killed dozens of people. for three months, joe biden and his advisors have done their best to ignore it all and pretend it wasn't happening. the same people who lecture you that silence is violence said virtually nothing about the riots in our street.

in fact, they threatened anybody who talked about them, who mentioned the vandalism. anyone in any way who the attacks of the mob. criticizing the behavior of blm, a coalition of left-wing activist tried to pull the show off the air. in the end, it didn't work. even a presidential campaign denied reality for so long. most people in the matter with a for, despise crime and they despise violence. even now, after months of unending propaganda, the average person is of far higher opinion of the police stand for politicians and for good reason. orders have started to blame joe biden for the chaos they see outside. suddenly let's clear in the polls. the democratic leaders are very worried about it. just as during the iraq war, our political class promoted violence. then they lost control of their proxies and destroyed an entire country. now, they are frantically trying to distance themselves from the terror they created.

sound familiar? they are just worried that getting blame might cost them power. today, joe biden's handlers flew to pennsylvania so he could "denounce violence." he had no questions afterward. biden mouthed the words they had written. he blamed trump voters for everything. all the violence. although riots. there must have been -- of course it was. they are always trying to erase american history. may have been the most thoroughly dishonest speech ever given by a presidential candidate. virtually every word of it was the opposite of the truth. it was literally beyond belief. but there was one honest line in that speech. we want to highlight it for you because that line reveals what all of this is really about. here it is. >> calling on his own supporte

supporters. it shows how weak he is. does anyone believe there is less violence in america if trump is reelected? >> martha: think there would be less violence if he was reelected? it would be a shame if something were to happen. that's not an observation, obviously. it's a threat. it's not a line he just blurted out. that was in biden's prepared remarks. this is the official message of the biden campaign. if you dare reelect donald trump, prepare for more rioting. you think biden voters are dangerous now, wait till you see them in trump's second term. it's not a lie. it is likely true. biden was right about it. still, what a thing to say hello. what country is this?

vote for me or my people will keep blocking traffic and setting fires and hurting people? yes, that is exactly what they are saying. they will never put it quite that way of course but the threat of violence is implied in everything they do. it is starting to become clear why the people who run the democratic party, people who by the way are not at all stupid. they realized very early that joe biden was the perfect presidential candidate. the rest of us were mocking him for being senile, but they knew they had the right guy. he can say things without scaring you. that's a rare talent. biden doesn't seem like an extremist, because personally, he is not an extremist. ask anyone who knows biden. biden is a corporate lobbyist who represented the senate for 40 years. joe biden doesn't want a revolution. he just wants to live in a bag house and have strangers love him. the people who control joe biden understand this perfectly well. and today they had him break the fourth wall and say it out loud.

"if you are able to, harris tweeted in june, "chip in now to help those protesting on the ground for minnesota." amazingly, that tweet is still up. at least 13 members of joe biden's staff sent money to the rioters in minneapolis. so what did the minnesota freedom fund do with the cash they got? they freed a person who is being held for trying to murder the cops.

they also brought out an accused murderer and a twice convicted. kamal harris never apologize for doing this. biden come of course, didn't mention it in his speech today. but why would he? he is not against it. he officially supports the idea behind it. the biden campaign has called it a modern day prison. he is pledging if elected to and cash bail nationally in every state. what does that look like? what would happen if joe biden did that? we know the answer. we don't have to guess because democrats have already eliminated cash bill. what happened? you know what happened. criminals immediately flooded the streets. hundreds of thousands of residents fled. not right-wingers, by the way. they had to because violence searched out of control. they tried to rate a 25-year-old woman in public view. it happened on the upper east

side. one of the prettiest neighborhoods in the country. a beautiful neighborhood. it's not just new york. democrat neighborhoods all of the country look like this. spend an hour on the low and look at real estate prices. they are literally running away from places run by democrats and they are going to places that aren't. that's not a gas. it's not a talking point. it's true. yet, according to the biden campaign, this has nothing to do with the democratic party. no. it's all donald trump's fault. watch. >> he's been leading us exactly the opposite. he has been trying to incite violence this entire summer. >> just wait a second. i will get to violence in a second. i'm thinking in real-time. the president is inciting violence customer >> absolutely. he has. he has encouraged his supporters to go out, to be aggressive.

helped create. >> tucker: this guy. so many like this. what a total mediocrity. in his defense, he applie probay imagined -- he never had to keep chaos under control. now he is blaming others. portland is as liberal a city as we have in this country. democrats run everything in portland. donald trump got 17% of the vote in the entire county in the last election. if somehow ted wheeler wants you to know trump is controlling the political department in portland, oregon. trump supporter's are in fact no longer allowed in the city of portland. on saturday, one of them was murdered in downtown portland, apparently for supporting donald trump. the governor of oregon blamed a dead man. excuse me. blame to the dead for his own murder.

he was in town "looking for a fight." in other words saying come of this man was expressing his constitutionally protected political views. that's no longer allowed. you can get murdered for doing it. here is the video of the killing. note that someone calls all the victim's location just prior to his execution. in other words, it was coordinated. watch. if you watch the democratic national convention, you would be familiar with blm. that's the group they promoted. they are the movement that corporate america will fire you for criticizing. you get fired. many have been. this is the actual armed militia of the democratic party. they are held to very different standards. in fact, the suspect in this murder in portland has been arrested twice just this summer for unlawfully carrying a loaded gun. he never went to jail. in one case, the same people would tell you how much are they a poor gun violence that this man go. then, he apparently murdered someone. joe biden did not mention this today. he was happy about the killings. he does not believe that all lives matter. they don't say they do and they don't. they believe people who oppose them should be killed. again, we are not making this up. watch them celebrate the man's murder in portland. >> the person who died was a

riots." he wasn't very smart. his tweet contained a photograph of the burning building. the building was burning in a right. there's not much violence. you would have to be a racist to think there was. watch. >> let's be honest. you do make this point and it's important over and over. there is very literal rioting. it is magnified by donald trump and it is magnified by republicans to convince people to think that they are common for them. that is simply not what is happening. >> tucker: oh, it's not what is happening and you are a bad person if you think it is. to be fair, that clip, i think was recorded three days ago, three or four days ago before the official line changed, which is actually there are riots and they are trump riots. trump is responsible. so, we have gone three months browbeating anyone who acknowledges the obvious, what is on video, what is on your city that you might be affected

chad wolf is the acting secretary. we are glad to have him on tonight. secretary, thanks so much for coming on. joe biden threatened, denounced, choose your verb, that the president is reelected, we will see more violence. are you worried about that? >> i'm not, tucker. i would say that that is a delusional statement. the idea that the department of homeland is somehow the reason or the cause behind this violence is just absurd. look, the department has been at this since early july. he was in portland addressing some of this violent rioting and looting that has been occurring. we have been at this for some time. we understand. we have been having been described as causing this violence. we know that's not the case. and now, before they ignore it, it became dhs's problem. and now they are saying that it is the administration on the course the president that is causing this.

all of these allegations are absurd. they are not true. i think most americans understand what is going out there. really the cause of all of this is state officials, local officials not taking this seriously from day one. when there is violence in your community, you need to restore law and order right away. we know it works. we saw it. after several days, it's working. places like portland and other places need to take the same advice. they need to bring that law and order back to their streets. the residents of those cities can feel safe as they go about their business everyday. >> tucker: yeah. i think that's exactly right. in the meantime, do you think the department of homeland security, getting the help it needs from the justice department? why haven't we seen the leaders of antifa and blm arrested and charged with conspiracy? >> well, this is something that i have talked personally about. i know that they are working on it. look, we have seen about 300 arrests across this country regarding civil unrest and

protesting, violent protest and i would say. criminal protesting. criminal rioting occur. about 300 arrests. about a third of those have been in portland specifically. i know the department of justice has charged about 74, 75 individuals with different federal crimes. we will continue to see how those investigations are going. he is also targeting and investigating the head of these organizations. the individuals that are paying for these individuals to move across the country. what we know, tucker, is that we have seen groups and individuals move from portland to other parts of the country. almost 100 of them were from out of state. we know they are moving around. we have seen them in d.c., in sacramento, and elsewhere. they are organized. we have seen tactics being moved from portland and other cities across the country as well. so, we know that the department of justice is also working on that as well. >> tucker: you are not allowed to fund crime. of course.

we have domestic terrorism on a greater scale than we have had in my lifetime. and they have not been exposed by the federal government. they haven't been punished and i'm confused as to why. >> again, i would say that the department of justice is certainly moving as quickly as possible. again, it is something that i have talked with the attorney general about. we are doing our role. we are making sure that the investigations that we are involved in, we are getting that information over to the fbi, to those criminal investigators that are doing their job. like you, tucker, i wish that was in a little quicker fashion. we will continue to see how that is. but again, this administration, this president is committed to holding individuals accountable. i think once folks start to realize that if you want to riots, you want to lose. you want to do some of these other criminal acts that we see around the country, there are going to be consequences for

>> tucker: a 17-year-old has been charged with murder that took place in wisconsin. there's a lot of confusion about what exactly happened. but at least in two of the shootings, it shows him running away, being attacked, and then fired. what does this add up to? saw him on left don't want to know. antifa, according to accounts online, is trying to figure out what cell he is being held in. what will his lawyers argue when it does go to court? we are happy to have him on. thanks so much for coming on. >> hi, tucker. thank you so much for having us to get the true story out. >> tucker: i'm eager to know.

this is one of those stories that obviously has intense partisan interest and there is a lot of confusing video. but what is broadly speaking the defense from kyle rittenhouse? >> this is 100% self-defense, tucker. kyle, he is good kid. it was burning down. actually, when he got done with work he tried to remove some graffiti. after that, he got a call from a local business person, three businesses in downtown kenosha. two of those businesses had been burnt to the ground. the business owner simply wanted to desperately attempt what was left of his life's work so he asked for help. kyle and his friends decided that nobody was doing anything to protect that community. they decided they would answer the call and help protect the business. kyle actually took a first aid kit downtown because he was

concerned that there would be a wounded protesters downtown and in fact, he took his firearm, because kenosha had become a war zone. any sensible person would take that. and him and his friends stayed on the process and protective that property. and then come of the events started to unfold whereby he was trying to treat medically wounded protesters and ultimately he got trapped out on the street art in the open because the riot police had moved line far enough down that they were between. >> tucker: so, i have read that he brought a firearm across state lines. that's incorrect. >> that is incorrect. that firearm never crossed state lines. that is a legal firearm in the state of wisconsin. wisconsin is an open carry sta

state. as a 17-year-old, he was legally entitled to have that firearm in his possession. moreover, we are going to be arguing that the second amendment and title ten, section 246, the ordinance that that charge will be based on, blatantly unconstitutional. >> tucker: that's a tertiary charge. let's talk about the shooting. one man was shot in the arm. it's obvious on the video that they attacked rittenhouse. but the first shooting. was rittenhouse fired upon before he fired? >> absolutely. "the new york times" has a report. they have analyzed this very quickly. there was a shot that was fired as kyle was retreating actually from a mob that had become enraged that he was trying to put out the fires that the

arsonist had set because he was trying to protect property. the mob became enraged. they began screaming that kyle needed to be killed and they were going to kill him. they started relentlessly hunting him as pray as he ran down the street attempting to retreat. as he ran out of room to retreat, shots were fired from behind him. "the new york times" has clearly shown that. shortly after that, the individual who was leading the attack on him set up on him immediately. he began to assault him from behind. attempted to take his weapon, take his firearm, and kyle, when he turned, he instantaneously had no choice but to defend himself by firing one, he was in eminent danger. serious bodily harm or death. >> tucker: so, that was the first shooting. he called a friend on the home and set i think i have killed

someone. and then he begins to run. >> let me clarify. let me clarify that. so actually, kyle actually attempted to stop and to check on the individual who had been shot. he did make a call to his friend. he said to his friend that he had shot someone. he immediately had to retreat from that area because the mob, the rioters that were chasing him who had witnessed this immediately called him out for the shooting, which of course was in self-defense but they called him out for the shooting. the began saying that he needs to be -- he retreated down the street. he began running down the police line to try to get to safety. again, the mob relentlessly and viciously pursued him and he was struck as he was running from behind by one of the rioters. he tripped and fell to the

ground and then one of the rioters was right over him. the other one was attempting and both of them were attempting to disarm him to take his ar-15. he was successful in being able to fight that off and he had no choice but to then immediately defend himself. it was serious bodily harm or death. he fired and disarmed the individual hitting him in the arm. he shot and killed the other person who was attacking him. and i got to tell you, if you really think about this, tucker, in this war zone, in this chaos that is occurring in the city in america in the middle of wisconsin, kyle, the only individuals that kyle shot where the three individuals that were attacking him and putting him at risk of serious bodily harm or death. this is a 17-year-old kid. this is amazing.

them had serious other illnesses. now, some of those come up related to the viruslike respiratory failure. but many others were not. those are the facts. but you are not allowed to air them on social media. twitter deleted a tweet with the date of the retweeted today. why would it be forbidden to tweet cdc data? what are they hiding? and why shouldn't we be nervous about that? doctor, thanks so much for coming on. why would it be a crime to tweet cbc numbers? >> while tucker, it's because of the misinformation campaign, isn't it? i want to give you a history lesson. let's start with the spanish flu. back then, over 50 million people died and over 5 50% were listed as pneumonia. we found out that it was

actually bacterial pneumonia. it wasn't the spanish flu. now flash forward 2020. covid-19. over 40% of the deaths. over 68,000 deaths occurring in nursing homes among the elderly. obesity causing over 50. if you have obesity, you are 50% more likely to die if you get covid-19. and as tucker said, diabetes, heart disease, lung disease, all other conditions that are going along with this. the president tweets this. i believe he tweeted this to reassure people that have none of these conditions that might be younger. tucker back in 1918, the average age of death was between 20 and 40 years old. that's not true now. we are dealing with elderly people. if you are young and healthy, you might not actually be in grave risk. i have a message tonight for our college students out there. a member of this when you're going to a party. remember 1918. remember the ages around 20 years old. the average age was 28 went forward dying.

right now college students, the average age of death, 80% are encouraging for people over the age of 65 years old and they have pre-existing conditions. and you are not in that group. remember this, college students. they are there by the grace of god alive. tucker. they are but for the grace of god alive. >> tucker: yet. i feel that way about a lot of things. but it is very distressing when people are afraid of data. that is of course the opposite of science. it's really the dark ages. >> come and to know that only 6% are covid-19. that is actually killing people. 94% of the time there were other conditions involved, which causes inflammation. >> tucker: let's shut down the country. >> thank you. speak to a lot of kids, probably your kids if you've got kids in school, are learning online in a virtual classroom. thing is, you can listen in. a lot of people don't like that

promise that they would not look in on the zoom calls, that they wouldn't be monitoring them paired they made them sign off on a paper. their was a teacher in philadelphia into critical race and gender theory and when i noticed that my sons teachers were doing the same kind of indoctrination about white privilege and critical race theory and all of this. they were dismayed to discover i was paying attention and i wanted to know what the deal was with all of this stuff. parents need to be paying attention to what their kids are learning in school, plus i think for too long, parents have just been trusting that the educational system is teaching history in teaching science and teaching normal things. the infrastructure from the top down, in new york city it begins with the chancellor, they are pushing the stuff into the classrooms, they're pushing it

to teachers and onto students. what they're telling students is that they are not equal, that some students are oppressors, and other students are victims. that they are responsible for entire system of racism, they are meant to do something about this in a systemic way. they are completely forgetting that what kids need to learn as to be kind to each other commit to treat everybody with respect, and to learn the accurate history of our nation into learn about literature and books and mythology and all of these things without the overarching lens of racism shading everything. if you cover everything with the idea that it's racist, that's all you're going to see. that's all the kids are going to learn. >> if we had a functioning civil rights department, they would check this down immediately because it's racist lies. its abuse, but let me ask you, now that parents know that this is going on, that the required to pay for it and not allowed to intervene in any way, the kids
