5:00 pm
than ever. more coverage as we continue tonight, take care everybody. >> kept you guys very busy. if they were jumping all over the place, is that right? they were dumping. >> tucker: this is a fox news alert, there's a chump rally tonight in the commonwealth of pennsylvania, we are monitoring it for you and we will bring you any news that develops out of it. in the meantime, good evening and welcome to "tucker carlson tonight," happy thursday. the key for any political party that is trying to hold power is getting voters to the polls, it's not complicated. if this simple act has not been a problem for the democratic party. they are much less likely than republicans to vote. democrats are also survey show less likely to know much about the issues. they buy the bumper stickers but they don't read the books.
5:01 pm
for these and other reasons getting democrats to vote on election day requires enormous effort. sometimes it requires financial incentives like walking around money or giving free cigarettes to the mentally ill and homeless. sometimes, convincing unfortunately that's what we are seeing right now. that was with the presidential election in mind. this has been the most radical and ambitious get out the vote operation ever staged in a democracy. politicians are now saying and encouraging things i could easily destroy the country. things i could fracture the nation, divide our people forever. i turn this beautiful happy place into a permanent maelstrom of angry tribalism. that's happening now. whether he is aware of it or not joe biden is leading this
5:02 pm
effort. he traveled to milwaukee to remind voters what racist country the united states is. to make that point biden met with the family of jacob blake who is of course and was shot by police in kenosha, wisconsin, after he apparently lunged at them or longed for a knife. one of the people biden met with in the lucky was jacob likes father who was also called jacob blake. lake senior is grieving obviously, imagine i if you are son was shot and paralyzed? on the other hand jacob lake senior is a very strange person to meet with. if you are trying to make the point that racism is bad. judging by what he has written on the line jacob blake sr. does not oppose bigotry. he's enthusiastically for it. "i'm with farrakhan at 100%" he wrote on social media last year. days before christmas the year before he posted a picture of's face floating in a toilet bowl. play called white people crackers. he referred to african-americans who support donald trump as "kunz."
5:03 pm
he repeatedly attacked the. "the same pink toed that control the interest rate control the media. they control mines and money." one at one point he accuse those of pittsburgh of purse, faking their own persecution. he claimed jewish people in pittsburgh got advanced morning before the synagogue massacre two years ago. then he wrote this the week that harvey weinstein story broke. "a cracker can do whatever to a white woman for years." that's what jacob blake sr. thinks. he also believes that you are the real racist. here he is at a recent demonstration of washington. watch. >> we are going to hold port on systematic racism. we are going to have court right now. guilty. guilty. guilty. racism against trayvon martin. we find them guilty.
5:04 pm
racism against george floyd. we find them guilty. racism against jacob blake. abdul to wallop. if i said the name wrong, i'll forgive me. guilty. >> tucker: okay. so the guy who denounces a "cracker jews" is now a civil rights leader in our country but that's only possible because the joe biden for president campaign has decided that he has. biden's handlers knew exactly what jacob blake sr. had written before they landed in milwaukee today and met with him but they never mentioned it and of course
5:05 pm
the media never asked them about it. instead biden elevated jacob blake sr. to a position of greater permanency in this country and greater moral authority. you are now being lectured about bigotry by a farrakhan accolade who calls black people comes and puts pictures of in the toilet. but of course you are. to the democratic party nothing is ever about percival's, it's always about votes. that's why joe biden will never say a negative word about blm or antifa. no matter how many people they kill. but the past does not go both ways. watch joe biden did not demand that joe biden denounce and attack those republican voters we see every day on the streets with guns, setting fires and point out statues and building targets. when will they stop rioting. to stop acting as an armed militia in this country shows how weak he is. does anyone believe there will be less violence in america? donald trump is reelected. are there words to describe how dishonest those statements were? this is a bewildering audacity. they are not ashamed of it, they
5:06 pm
amplify it. in it, the ad argues that america is so dangerous for black people that african-americans should be afraid to leave their homes. >> why in this nation duped black americans wake up knowing they could lose their life in the course of just living your life? >> african-americans biden says "wake up knowing you could lose your life. joe biden is talking about police murders. joe biden is suggesting that american police officers kill african-americans because they are black. what is this doing to the country?
5:07 pm
it's hard to imagine a more divisive claim especially since it is a flat out lie. it's untrue. there are no data that show that's true, just the opposite. last year for example, the number of unarmed african-american men killed by the police was smaller than the number of americans killed by lightning. but joe biden says that anymore. and it, they host a radio show in new york. and what do you think of joe biden lending moral authority and giving more moral authority to someone like jacob blake sr.? >> it is pathetic, it is hypocrisy, it's a double standard and people need to recognize that.
5:08 pm
it is just beyond comprehension. someone who follows farrakhan, someone who preaches hate for the jewish people, the control the bank, the control the media and they control everything. louis farrakhan, and blake is a follower of louis farrakhan spreading his hate on social media to millions of people. so how in god's name does the former vice president go and meet with this individual and praise this individual? i would like to ask a question. it was only a couple of years ago that biden was a vice president for eight years along with barack obama. what happened to the country? what was obama and biden doing in terms of race relation in this country? i thought they solved all the problems.
5:09 pm
what happened? he was beyond comprehension and i hope democrats will wake up and realize this hypocrisy. they are endangering this country. people are afraid of. people are afraid and people in my community asked me, is there a future in america? this is what -- this is where we are today. is there a future in america? this the greatest country in the world. we are not perfect, no one is perfect and no country is perfect. but this is the greatest country in the world. yes i'm still a democrat but i am ashamed of the democratic party. it is a betrayal of all the values that america is all abo about. it is bigger unadulterated hypocrisy. >> tucker: the claim -- i try to give people a pass on stupid things they say or have said in years past and it's a pretty wide strike zone. but to claim that the jewish community of pittsburgh had
5:10 pm
advance warning, that seems especially poisonous to me and especially crazy. why wouldn't biden's advisors who are sophisticated, not all of them are evil. but why would they say, well. we can meet with this guy, this is too much. why would they say that? >> it's simple. they are cowards and afraid of upsetting the democratic party and the radical left. they are an important part. isn't it strange that bernie sanders, isn't it funny how quiet they are? there is a deal with biden that biden does what they want and everything will be fine. in 1944, my mother and her mother and of the members of the family were taken to auschwitz. my mother obviously survived. my grandmother and other members of the family went straight to the gas chamber that very day.
5:11 pm
hate of the jewish people, just pure unadulterated hate. you don't have to explain it to anybody. we are not talking about two years ago, and he is the probl problem. i would say he is guilty. up next, joe biden has locked down the country as his handlers locked on the country. and the president is speaking in
5:12 pm
5:17 pm
>> tucker: labor day weekend coming up which means summer is coming to a close. in cases of the coronavirus are down across the country. but some say there could be a second wave coming this fall. it is that true, and if so how do we respond? doctor, thanks a lot for coming on. first, do you believe there will be a second wave, whatever that means, of this virus? >> you know tucker, thanks for having me. i think that if we look at the trends of the virus, what's happened over the summer and comparing where we are now to where we are in march and april, i think that the science and the data shows that we are in a far different place with at a far different disease now that we were there in. i think there's a lot of reason for optimism that we won't see a second wave big enough to
5:18 pm
consider new lockdowns of the economy. maybe we will have second ripples in different parts of the country but, a second wave, i don't think that the science will support that. in my profession what we have done is, we have, with regard to the major leagues and sports, baseball and football, we see that the american public is, if they believe in what we are hearing and what they are being told that we see the big parts of the american public are willing to follow the rules and do things that from a personal standpoint would prevent them from getting sick and spreading disease. we had over 200,000 intake test done on our nfl players since we have done, we haven't had any positives that we knew at this point. we've had almost a hundred thousand tests done in major league baseball with a 0.09 positivity rate and the vast majority of them are
5:19 pm
asymptomatic. we will see that if people look like but they are hearing and trust what they are being told that they will do what's necessary to take care of themselves personally and get back to work. the disappointing things are but there has to be better context placed around the context to give the public confidence moving forward. this heavy emphasis on the numbers and the positive tests that are done every day, we have to pay attention to those numbers but it has to be given in context. if you look at the death rate and the morbidity that the virus causes in the and in the new york region for instance, the death rate in people over 65 years old back in march and april was about 15%. and now we look at those death
5:20 pm
rates and it's about 2%. we are able to identify positive cases better. there's reasons for optimism including people that would get the disease. another big part of this is to understand who is susceptible in our population to determine, you know, how this epidemic is going to go. there are estimates. there are very good study is now done on our immune system on the very robust t cell response. and this has been in the news a bit as has herd immunity. sue covid-19, has immunity to
5:21 pm
some degree to covid-19, believe it or not. there were tests done -- >> tucker: that's a point that isn't made often enough. in case our viewers miss what you just said, the death rate for older people 65 and above that in this country this spring was down to 2% and that seems like a massive victory in advanced, certainly a massive change and maybe we should have read that more often thank you for your clarity and your honesty. speak up thank you >> >> tucker: let's take a close look at this and we will share what we found. the presidents monitoring this.
5:22 pm
5:27 pm
>> tucker: it seems like just the other day because i was of the media and their handlers from the democratic party were browbeating anyone who noticed there were riots going on. there are no riots. what? pay no attention to the guy with the blm tattoo on his neck. it's a mirage and if you believe it you fall from russian disinformation. on monday of this week they change their position 180 degrees. they had to. their poll numbers were being taken and they were blamed blamed for the rights they started in the encouraged. everyone agrees that the
5:28 pm
violence and rioting are indeed happen and you should know. who has been paying for all of this? rioting doesn't come cheap. so we looked into it. tonight we reported that elected democrats, congress and local governments bankrolled it. they were major financial backers for domestic terrorism that ravaged entire cities, entire neighborhoods in minneapolis for example, this summer. if you remember that in may, memorial day weekend after george floyd died rioters caused half a billion dollars with the damage in minneapolis. two people died. at one point the mob torched a police precinct after the city's mayor jacob frey ordered authorities to abandon it. all now we know that a minnesota group called the black visions collective was a primary
5:29 pm
organizer of those violent riots. "the new york times" is called that group "integral" to the protest movement that erupted following the killing of george floyd. a few weeks after the precinct burned it down a woman who was an organizer for the black visions collective told fox.com that the riots made her "extremely hopeful. she referred to the rioting as an uprising and a rebellion." meanwhile the director of the black visions collective, a woman called candace montgomery publicly humiliated mayor frey for not committing to totally abolishing all law enforcement and the city. watch. >> yes or no will. when you commit to defunding minneapolis. we don't want no more police. is that clear? >> the main effect of this unrest is to give an awful lot of power to the dumbest, least creative, least interesting and
5:30 pm
leads to violent people in our society. there's a reason that they need more power. and, that much of that money came because top democrats raise that collectively. they have been engaged in the struggle for justice in minnesota and she urged her mindless followers to join ilhan omar to raise $50,000 for the black visions collective and reclaim the block. separately, and this is hard to believe but it's true, a former obama cabinet secretary julian castro called for donations to black visions collectives and reclaim to the
5:31 pm
block. he urges democrats to "provide support for those on the front lines to demand change. they think it should be adjudicated with violence in the streets. because none of these affect beverly hills, celebrity still join in. desperately hoping he won't remember he hasn't worn black face and used the n-word several times. >> the thing that i was excited about was it's all black lives matter's. >> if you'd like to go to it and join us with donations. >> that's not a political disagreement, that's not liberal versus conservative. that's just wrong. it's disgusting actually. democrats raised all of this
5:32 pm
money. the one called a luciani aga cofounded the black visions collective made it clear what the group really stands for. she declared that looting is a form of reparations, not stealing for reparations and she called for more of it. >> i know that the things that are being taken are being redistributed to the community so i don't have an opinion on what is good or bad but i understand the use of reparations and this time, looking like it's giving back to people who always need the resources and now we are seeing we are able to get those people those things because target was looted and they are able to redistribute that to the community. so everyone gets a new paris sneakers. poor people don't think that's true. poor people know what stealing is, it's stealing.
5:33 pm
looting is stealing. and no doubt that person went to some private college. bottom line is these are radical organizations, genuinely radical, and democrats knew that well before the rioting started in minneapolis. the leaders in the black visions collective spent 18 days occupying a police station but the money flowed in anyway. the black visions collective received a $25,000 grant from the city of minneapolis and the irony of course is obvious and in what introspective, tragic. taxpayers gave money to organizations to help destroy the city. and in fact they haven't renounced blm or antifa either or both of which are radical violent scripts.
5:34 pm
joe biden staffers endorsed it too. they redirected donations to the black visions collective. the point is not just that democrats want to condemn the people behind these riots, the point is they want these riots to happen and they are paying for these riots. how much of the spent trying to rebuild our cities? none so far. that tells you everything. other clinton is already telling joe biden, don't concede it no matter what. many democrats both agree with that and they are predicting the military may get involved in november. what's happening in the weeks following? we will tell you after the bre break.
5:36 pm
5:39 pm
>> tucker: it's democrats have made it very clear they plan to put joe biden the white house in january whether he wins the election or not. watch. >> joe biden should not concede under any circumstances because i think this is going to drag out and eventually i do believe he will win if we don't give an inch and if we are as focused and relentless as the other side
5:40 pm
is. >> tucker: another angry rich lady. there are a lot of those around. today, jeff bezos' personal newspaper "the washington post" reported that violence is likely if joe biden doesn't win but of course not predicted if he does when which tells you everything. according to "the boston globe," biden surrogate john podesta has been planning for the possibility that biden won't concede and that the military will get involved and make sure he is president. it's hard to believe anyone would say that out loud but people are saying that out loud. what are the scenarios on what's likely to happen. this one is not hard to predict that all. this one is setting up to be a
5:41 pm
dumpster fire. and, i'm thinking, that never happens again. experts upwards of 156 million americans will cast a ballot in the presidential election. and this is unprecedented. that's anyone who has seen who is alive today. does a mail system work? there are a lot of question marks with that but we had so many felt primaries already and, what has happened in nevada, that is not accounted for, they were rejected in new york.
5:42 pm
how do you consider a single battleground state because of a lapse like that, that will be a disaster. >> and that's a question between the parties do you get the feeling that it is your program? >> yes, they have an army of lawyers and unquestionable desire to win. and there is under no circumstance that joe biden concedes that election. he concedes playing joe biden they would commit the electorates to the electoral college and in their working
5:43 pm
scenarios of three states washington, oregon and california all three of the states on the western seaboard threatened to secede from. it's a gigantic deal. there is really only one solution to all of this. you have to get the polls open. you have very little time and is of immense importance that people vote importance. if you cannot have confidence in the election system, the whole thing falls apart. threatened funding and force
5:44 pm
states to reopen because right now, the states governors are shutting down polls across the country. we need a lot of confidence in this election result and we need it quickly. >> tucker: i think that's a very smart points, and it's something that republicans in congress, not one of the sharpest groups in america. thank you for reminding him of that. open the polls. the state of maine is not one of the biggest by population but an interesting one. it splits its electoral college votes based on districts. the candidate for congress called dale kraft is running as
5:45 pm
a republican this year and that he believes that's an effort to hamstring republicans. this is a complicated -- a complicated concept ranked choice voting is very popular on the academic left. explain to people who don't understand it, if you would, how this is essentially rigging the election? >> back in 2018 we saw it with the former congressman. as a bottom one bottom drops off in the second chance is move up the line. they didn't even have the 50% because some of those votes do not get counted.
5:46 pm
they try to steal races especially in swing districts and that's only going to be 22 states. you can see this now as they can pick off seats all across the country and they are going to continue to do this. i went through it with the three way primary with right choice voting and i won the night of the election, i won significantly in the primary and my two opponents conceded. but because bring choice voting we had to go out and together the ballots from all over the state and almost a week later they declared me a winner. about 27 days later, the secretary of state decided and found out that there are 13,000 ballots that are going to get counted. they didn't notify the campaign or anybody, and we recalculate the whole system, and mathematically, there's no way
5:47 pm
that they could lose. why didn't anyone say anything when the academic left to -- did it have? >> i think it needs to go all the way to the supreme court. and that will now have the presidential election to the rank choice voting. the main g.o.p. went out and collect the signatures in a short amount of time because a coronavirus and 64 days, they collected over 73,000 signatures and then the secretary of state
5:48 pm
who is a democrat is appointed by the legislature because he has a constitutional office and should represent all of republicans, and dependence, he threw over 10,000 votes. the judge overruled because he was throwing out signatures. his first name bob, and his official name was robert and he throughout the signatures like that. now today the secretary appealed it and had an argument in appealing the judge's decision. we still don't know whether the presidential election is going to be ranked choice voting or not. >> tucker: it's everything becomes more complicated and more dishonest and less democratic. thank you so much. thanks for explaining that. good to see you. >> thanks so much for having me on. a trump supporter was murdered,
5:49 pm
assassinated in portland, oregon last week. after the break we will speak to a close friend of the man who was standing right there. we will ask why isn't the man who killed this guy in custody? he's out there giving media interviews and police say he is the main suspect but he walks free. o we will be right back. that makes this company so unique.
5:54 pm
5:55 pm
so people on the internet almost immediately identified him long before the authorities seemed to. police later confirmed he is the main suspect in all of this. but he has not been arrested, he is still out there somewhere. what's interesting a week later is that he is giving interviews to the media. here is one he gave to an unjust undisclosed location. >> i hope the growth gets a little bit of what's really been going on. >> i have no choice. i watched him kill a friend of mine but i wasn't going to do that. >> tucker: wait a second, the deck guy just admitted to murdering someone on tv? where are the authorities, what is going on? pappas was there when it
5:56 pm
happened and he was close friend of aaron jay danielson. with standing right there when he was murdered and he tried to save his friends life. thanks so much for coming on this evening, i appreciate it. before i ask you about the tragedy that you saw, let me ask you about the man who apparently did it, giving an interview to vice and remaining at large to make, what do you make of that? >> i think their whole campaign is disinformation. i don't think that they are going to produce anything, i know they won't be able to produce anything to incorporate that story whatsoever. >> tucker: corroborate the story that this man is apparently telling, that there was an attack on an african-american or something like that? just the fact that here, you have a videotaped murder of a man, that's beyond dispute. the chief suspect is talking to vice. why isn't he in custody, does that shake your confidence in the justice system in oregon?
5:57 pm
>> no. i lost confidence in the justice system along time ago. mike schmidt has continued to let all of these charges go. people are throwing explosive devices at home and security in being let off, joey gibson inciting riots over a year ago for peacefully protesting in front of an antique a bar ended being assaulted. this is completely one sided out here, it is corrupt, like using the piece. >> it sounds like it. so too bottom line the charges, it's complex but essentially your friend was assassinated. again, we don't need to debate that, if on video. but you are somehow the villain and he is somehow the villain in the story. what are they saying? >> i don't pay attention to everything that they are saying but i know that they came up behind us, they shot my friend and killed him. >> tucker: was there warning? were you in the middle of the dispute when this happened?
5:58 pm
tell us the circumstances if you like. >> justly yelling. they started yelling at us and we turned around and i didn't have time to register that someone was pointing a gun at us before the shots went off. >> tucker: did you recognize a man who pulled the trigger? >> tucker: and was at this man, we have his picture on the screen and police say was a main suspect? >> mostly what you say, what significantly stood out to me is the only person in the downtown that night other than myself wearing a white shirt. >> tucker: what were they screaming at you before they murdered a girlfriend? >> we got a couple right here, we got a couple right here, pull it out. he turned around and you don't quite understand what's going on but then before i got a chance to process anything, it was over. >> tucker: did you point a firearm at them? >> i don't bring my firearms downtown because i don't go down there with the intent to hurt people.
5:59 pm
wwe will sometimes bring bear mace and you can see that big cloud of smoke, they shot him through the bear mace. >> tucker: so they identified you and shot your friend? >> this hat is a pretty big target out there. anything that's pro-american or pro-patriot. >> tucker: that's unbelievable. why do you think they did this? >> hatred. i think this country needs a lot of healing. i think they just feel the hatred. >> tucker: girlfriend has been denounced as you know, i think even joe biden called him a white supremacist. what kind of person was he? >> anybody who knew jay knew him by his smile. he was the happiest, most compassionate, first to buy you a drink kind of guy that you would ever meet.
6:00 pm
he got along with everybody. >> tucker: is a shocking story. i appreciate you coming on and i hope you'll come back. thank you. >> thank you for having me. >> tucker: shocking. that's it for us tonight, labor day weekend begins very soon. we will be back every night at 8:00 p.m. jason chaffetz and for sharon. >> jason: tucker, thank you. that was a powerful interview. welcome to the special edition of "hannity." for the hour we will recap all the latest 2020 knows comic news and we will start with joe biden who bravely left his basement bunker once again. he followed president trump's lead and traveled to kenosha, wisconsin where the death of jacob blake sparked violent riots. and, that's tax plan. >> 19 corporations making a
