from one place or at the same time so the capacity of the postal worker, this is actually routine and i think people should have great confidence, it's a tried and tested system and virtually free of fraud and we have the capacity to vote by mail. my advice as a voter and other voters, no matter who we are voting for as soon as the ballots are in and vote. eric: there have been some issues reporting by the post office election mail delivering on time is down 1.7%. let me use something that concerns me as a voter. we need a postmark in ballot, without a postmark on return ballots about what could be rejected and the vote not counted pre-the postal service reissued guidance and held a webinar to reiterate to employees the whole ballots voters and they must have a postmark. what happens if it doesn't have

a postmark, they go to the machine so fast they may not be marked and if they get to the board of elections and they don't have a thinker your vote out. >> there are many states that the ballot has to be an by election day so the postmark is not critical there. it is critical for those states who have a postmark. that comes down to good training and repetitive training. the four postal unions just join the task force and a national management task force around mail. that is one way that we will help ensure training takes place in the ballots are recognized, ballots normally are pretty differently, they are recognizable, they can be pulled out of the system to make sure that there postmark. that really comes down to a training and it comes down to the dedication of the postal workers to make sure that happens. postal workers will move heaven and earth to make sure that it does. eric: you see them out and they

do. finally, you read the inspector general's report and learned also that you did not know, there's a rule you got a clea cr out in all election a political mail and the postal distribution center surrogates out every day. they make sure none is on the floor. all of those things. >> that is right, it's supposed to be given priority treatment and the new postmaster general under oath to congress just last week reiterated that all ballots will be treated as first class mail and all ballots will be given the priority treatment that is critical. eric: get the ballots out and get voting. thank you for joining us. arthel: back at 4:00 p.m. eastern with more news. right now more news after the break. ♪
