that. we are getting reports and will know what the story is and then we will take action one way or the other. >> the ruling against the united states over tariffs on china. should the u.s. remain part of the them? >> we just won a lawsuit. nobody sued before they came along or they lost them. now they have not been losing them. we are getting reports on the wto. it's never been good to us. the wto as far as i am concerned was created to suck money and jobs out of the united states to the benefit of china and other countries. that's my opinion. whether it was created or turned out to be that way. the world trade organization hasn't been good for the united states. it's been good for everybody
2:51 pm
else. it was a method in my opinion of taking advantage of the united states. we will get back to you. >> you spoke with dr. redfield earlier and he made a mistake. >> i think he made a mistake. i was very surprised to hear it. it doesn't matter. what matters is we are all set to distribute immediately. as soon as that vaccine comes out that is safe and good and works whether it's pfizer or johnson and johnson or anybody else, we are ready to distribute it rapidly. as scott said and as our team knows, they are ready. that could be in october or november. i don't think it will be much later than that. i think it could be in october. we are ready to move. it will be a full distribution. >> you told him he made a mistake? >> no, i got the impression he didn't realize he said what he
2:52 pm
might have said. i didn't see him say it. if that's what he said, it was a mistake. we are ready to distribute immediately to a vast section of our country and then beyond. because we want to help other countries. we are ready to distribute immediately. >> the timeline he gave saying it would not be ready for the general public until the middle of next year sounds like the one you offered? >> no, i said that everyone in high risk will have the dose no later than january. >> he was talking about the general public. >> we are focussed on high risk but we will focus also on the general public very much. our immediate aim is elderly people and elderly people with heart, diabetes problems. we will have it -- we are not looking at a small distribution program. we are looking at distributing
2:53 pm
to the whole united states with an immediate focus of the elderly. under no circumstance will it be as late as the doctor said. but, i think that frankly, if he analyzed it -- they hit him with that question. we are ready at a much faster level than he said. we will have rapid distribution. we are set up. our military and others are set up to do it. we think it could even start taking place in october. certainly during november and december would be the latest. based on what we are hearing, the results are very good. >> you told bob woodard the problem with the vaccine is it will take 13 to 14 months because you have to test the vaccine. do you want to clarify that? >> no. that was a long time ago when i said that. we were not set up at that time.
2:54 pm
>> how many months ago? >> his book is obsolete. i read it last night rapidly because it was boring. i said a lot of really good things. people like to turn it around. i said really good things in that book. as an example, he doesn't cover -- i told him what we are doing in the middle east in a different way. that's not covered in his book. the whole thing is not covered in his book. one thing i will say and i respect the press for this one which is interesting, we have been praised for the deal we made yesterday with israel and two very important countries in the middle east. uae in particular. it's a warrior country led by a great warrior and a man who is highly respected. if you take a look at that and bahrain and israel making a deal. we have at least 4 or 5 others
2:55 pm
that want to come in. they would have come in yesterday. they are ready to trot. i think you will have a whole level of peace without blood all over the sand. nobody was shot or killed. killed hundreds of thousands of people in the middle east. i always say it's the bloodiest sand in the world. it didn't have to be that way. the single worst decision our country made was to go into the middle east. not only the millions of people killed and i include people on both sides. i will say it on both sides. such a horrible thing was done. such a horrible mistake was made. we are doing this a different way. we have those two countries. we have at least five we are negotiating with right now. you can only negotiate with so many. i think they will all come in. i think the palestinians will come in.
2:56 pm
these are the people funding them. i stopped funding the palestinians early on because they were saying bad things about our country. we are giving them $750- million dollars a year and they say bad things. i stopped funding them. but they get funding by other rich countries. to them it's like a speck. it's nothing. now that these rich countries are part of the deal. you will see over a short period of time other countries will come. in saudi arabia will come in too. getting saudi arabia will be great. i think saudi arabia, this is my feeling, it's not based on knowledge other than a couple of conversations i had with the king, saudi arabia will come in too. you will end up with piece peace in the middle east and nobody thought it could be done this way. i went to very smart people.
2:57 pm
i went to people in the middle east. they said you can never do it. now they say nobody thought of doing this. they thought you make the deal first with the palestinians. the resistance is some countries didn't want to do it unless the palestinians were there first. they were wrong. the people, our great representatives that have been doing this for 35 years telling me how to do it, but they all fauld. -- failed. in the clinton administration and obama administration. they were wrong and i guess i was right. let me finish this. when you see the countries that will become in a short period of time, all of the countries that will be coming in just like you saw bahrain yesterday and uae
2:58 pm
and i can think of at least five that will be quick and easy. others will be quick and easy also once the five come in. you will have peace in the middle east. we want to get out. our soldiers are largely coming home. the endless wars, the ridiculous endless wars. if i withdraw our country from that horrible iran nuclear deal where president obama paid $150-billion dollars for nothing and gave 1.8-billion dollars in cash. that's more impressive than the 150-billion dollars paid normally. he gave all of these chips. we had these chips and he gave them all away and we got nothing. it was a short term deal. it would be practically expiring
2:59 pm
now. it starts to expire now. there is no way we will let iran have nuclear weapons. >> [overlapping talking]. >> do you reverse what you told woodard about the vaccine? >> we stepped it up. this is what it is. we have been able to step it up very, very rapidly. i never thought we could have a vaccine as quickly as we did. i freed up the fda. dr. hahn has done a great job. they are ready to approve something. the other thing that is happening that is very different. you look at a couple like pfizer. a great company. one of the great companies of the world. johnson and zahns. -- johnson. they are all great. doing a lot of testing at a rapid rate. nobody has ever seen anything like it. they are in the third level of trial. you will see things that are amazing. when i made statements like
3:00 pm
that, that's an old statement. i had no idea we would produce as well as we are producing but only because of what i have done in the fda and other things can we come up with numbers like that. we are lucky we don't have to. that was considered fast. this it was an administration from the past far beyond obama, it was other administrations also, you would not have a vaccine for 2.5 or 3 years. we will have one with at most a couple of months. >> coronavirus relief do you feel comfortable with what was put forward? >> yes, some republicans disagree. i like the larger number. i want to see people get money. it wasn't their fault that this happened. it was china's fault.
