department of public safety says one trooper was sitting in his cruiser in a phoenix neighborhood when the car pulled up, the passenger got out and opened fire with an ak-47. >> our trooper was clearly visible in his best that said police. there was no question it was in ambush, he was identifiable as a police officer. >> reporter: the trooper was helping other troopers in a separate investigation when the ambush happens, two other troopers ran over and opened fire on the suspect, that is when the car drove away and the troopers arrested this guy, louis espinoza, cbs is looking for the driver who escaped. they say he was last seen in this vehicle, a silver 2013 infinity. the attack the latest act of violence against police officers in los angeles, sheriff's deputies are searching for the man accused of opening fire and two deputies, la county sheriff
