9:00 pm
wishes, and may he rest in peace. greg: an amazing show. i'm greg gutfeld and i love you, america. ashley: this is a fox news alert. white house doctor sean conley releasing a statement on president trump's health saying he's doing well and remains fever free. this comes on a night when the president released a individual so saying he's feeling much better. brian: saturday night president trump released a video from inside the walter reed national medical center. in the video and newly released photos, the president looked to reassure the nation that he's still work and feeling better.
9:01 pm
president trump: i came here, wasn't feeling so well. we are working hard to get me back. i have to be back because we have to make america great again. we have done an awfully good job of that. but we still have steps to go and we have to finish that job. i think i will be back soon. reporter: the latest update reads in part quote president trump continues to do well having made substantial progress since his diagnosis. he completed his second dose of remdesivir without complications. he has an oxygen level between 96 and 98 percent all day. despite dr. conley's press conference saturday, there are indications the president's battle is more dire than
9:02 pm
initially believed. he was administered oxygen before being transferred to the hospital. the chief of staff mark meadows said the president's vitals were concerning and we are still not on a clear path to a full recovery. first lady melania trump who has also tested positive for covid-19 is said to be doing well. her office says her symptoms have not worsened, she is continuing to rest and is in touch with her husband. ashley: i'm ashley strohmier. we'll send you back to "watters' world" in progress. o the oval o. stay upstairs and enjoy it. don't see people, don't talk to people and be done with it. and i can't do that.
9:03 pm
i had to be out front. this is america. this is the united states. this is the greatest country in the world. this is the most powerful country until world. i can't be locked upstairs in a room and be totally safe and say whatever happens, happens. i can't do that. we have to confront problems. as a leader you have to con front problems. there has never been a great leader that would have done that. i am doing well. i want to thank everybody. our first lady is doing very well. melania asked me to say something as to the respect she has for our country, the love she has for our country. we are both doing well. melania is really handling it very nicely. as you probably read, she is slightly younger than me, just a tiny bit. and we note disease. we know the situation with age
9:04 pm
versus younger people. and melania is handling it statistically like it's supposed to be handled. and that makes me very happy and makes the country very happy. but i'm also doing well, and i think we'll have a very good result. over the next few days we'll probably know for sure. so i just want to thank everybody out there, everybody. all over the world. specifically the outpouring of love in the united states has been incredible. i will never forget. thank you very much. jesse: president trump looking much better than he looked yesterday. he's spending a second night in the presidential suite at walter reed where he's being treated for covid-19. he was taken by ma screen one friday out of an abundance of caution, giving his classic thumbs up before taking off from the south lawn of the white house. he developed symptoms thursday
9:05 pm
with cough, fever, nasal congestion and fatigue. his cough is said to be improving and he has been fever free for 24 hours. the doctors updated his condition this morning. >> the president has been fever-free for over 24 hours. he's doing so well. but with the known course of the illness. day 7-10 we get concerned about the inflammatory phase, phase two. given we provided advance therapies early in the course. it's hard to tell where he is on that course. so every day we are evaluating. he's in exceptionlely good spirits. as we were completing our multidisciplinary rounds, he said i feel like i can walk out of here today. jesse: the president is take a five-day course of remdesivir
9:06 pm
and an experimental cocktail of regeneron. as welling famotidine, and aspirin. no hard date has been set for when the president will leave walter reed medical center. but the race is on to trace trump's recent contact as members of his inner circle have also been infected including campaign manager bill stepien, hope hicks, and most recently chris christie who has checked into the hospital as an important precautionary measure. why is continue is at the walter reed medical center. >> the campaign trail has come to president trump here at walter reed. there are dozen and dozens of his supporters lining the street right outside walter reed where
9:07 pm
the president has been for 24 hours, a little over 24 hours. they are waving flags, honking horns. and their message is clear. they are trying to get president trump the support he needs to fight through the coronavirus. that video that president trump recorded inside walter reed that was posted about an hour ago was welcome news for every american because it shows he at least sounded healthy. it was important because it came at the ends of a very confusing day. it started with the president's doctors delivering that press conference saying that he was doing very well. but right after that press conference was over a senior administration official reported to be chief of staff mark meadows, he said there were some very troubling signs yesterday when president trump was first brought to walter reed. he made it sounds like it was
9:08 pm
touch-and-go. he said the next 48 hours was going to be critical. he said we are not on a clear path to a full recovery. so that sparked a lot of concern. this video from president trump was a reassuring sign from our allies and adversaries around the world. president trump was very frank in that video. he said i wasn't feeling great yesterday. i'm feeling better today. he said we'll have to wait to see what happens the next few days. he called that the real test. he's fighting with all he has to get through the coronavirus and back out on the campaign trail, even though the campaign trail has come to him. president trump acknowledging the real test for him is still ahead, jesse. jesse: thanks a lot, kristin. the next 48 hours said to be
9:09 pm
critical for president trump. let's get top retired rear admirallen former physician for president obama and trump. dr. ronny jackson. we saw that video yesterday, and we saw the video the president just released. i think that gives americans a lot of hope. when his physician said there is a 7-10 day period, at that time actual know where this covid is going to go. is it going to get better or worse. is that your sense of things, we'll know more then officially? >> i think we'll know more well before that. one of the things we found out about treating the virus is if you interact early and inject yourself early and be aggressive up front you can shorten the course of this. i think they have been aggressive with the president. they took him to walter reed
9:10 pm
where they have the resources available and gave him the iv medications they have been giving him. this infection runs in phases. it starts out where the viral load builds in your body and your immune response kicks in. a lot of the damage down the road is related to the inflammatory in the body. but if you can use these drugs like the monoclonal remdesivir and remdesivir, you can fight the inflammatory. jesse: the regeneron, the cocktail. it looks like it was very successful over in england. it was used on mice. and it has shown i think to basically tamp down by 50% the
9:11 pm
virus. what are your thoughts on administering an experimental cocktail to the president of the united states? >> i think it's fine. some drugs are more dangerous than other drugs. some are known -- these monoclonal antibodies are known to be safe. these particular monoclonal antibodies they identified that are effective against the coronavirus 0 new. but we used monoclonal bos -- antibodies for a long time in medicine. i don't think there was a risk to the president doing this, i think it was the right call. jesse: president trump insisting he's going to beat this. he called his good buddy rudy giuliani this evening and said
9:12 pm
he feels good enough to leave the hospital. former new york city mayor rudy guillani. it's been a tough 48 hours. you saw the video, i saw the video. was that the way he was with you on the phone? high energy, good spirits? >> absolutely. i'm glad he did it. i had a goods conversation with him our 3:00 about a half-hour, 45 minutes. i have known him for 30 years. the same donald trump i have always known, the same energy. he was talking about what happened to him, he was talking about the campaign, we talked about issues. i told me a few things i had to write down so i could pass it object to the campaign. jesse: he's politicking, sending you information. >> politicking? he's functioning the same way he functions in the white house and the same way he functions 24
9:13 pm
hours a day. the thing that's going to happen when he comes out of this. they tried everything on this guy from the day he got inaugurated. they try toimed peach him, they tried a coup, recently they wanted to impeach him because he nominated judge barrett. now he gets attacked by china. he will come out of it stronger and better. we should elect him biacclamation. -- by acclamation. jesse: he will have momentum like you have ever seen before if he beats this virus. did he have his good humor. he was joking about melania as you know is much younger than i am. >> i told him the next debate he won't have a problem. he really debated chris wallace,
9:14 pm
not joe biden. he won't have a problem. i would like to see him and biden. he could have debated him today. jesse: it sounds like you and the president are ready to get out of the hospital and get back on the campaign trail within champing at the bit he told me that. he said they told me i have to say here in case something goes wrong. and nothing is going to go wrong. the guy has got more energy than i have ever seen. and he has the spirit of a leader. what you heard is a great leader today. generals don't lead armies from behind. they don't lead armies from basements. they get out front and take risks. jesse: and he made that clear.
9:15 pm
when you talk to him, tell him we are all praying for him. >> i sure will. jesse: down but not out, the trump campaign going full speed ahead, launching operation maga. joining me now with the plan of action, tim martaugh. 14 days until the next debate. tell us about operation maga. how are you planning on campaigning until the president gets back on the trail. >> i was on the phone when mayor giuliani relayed the messages from the president. i can testify to the fact that the president is launching the
9:16 pm
campaign. the vice presidential debate is next wednesday. leading up to the vp debate, we'll send out the big characters from the maga universe. we'll be sending folks out, the vice president himself, mike pence will be hitting arizona first for an in-person event, then he will stop in indiana and vote early from his home state. and we'll have the first family having events all across the country. jesse: it's huge access to have the first familyn at the events. will the president be participating in virtual events while he's at walter reed. >> that's not something we announced. what we can talk about publicly is the vice president and don, jr. and lara and eric trump who work with us at the campaign.
9:17 pm
it's the marshaling of all our top voices. blacks for trump, latinos for trump. and encouraging people to show their support as they always do. fly their maga flags, wear their trump gear. do all the things they always do. jesse: i saw the flags flying outside the hospital. like why is continue said, if he can't go to a rally, the rally will go to him. >> we'll work just as hard as he always does to keep the campaign moving at full speed. that's what what operation maga is all about. jesse: we'll break down where both campaigns stand at j j j jj
9:21 pm
9:22 pm
campaign advisor, corey lewandowski, and mike huckabee. i hear you just spoke to the president. what did he tell you? >> he was unbelievably upbeat. similar to what he said to their giuliani earlier in the day. his message to the american people is he's going to beat this coronavirus. he's ready to get back to work. he knows he's under the best care the united states has to offer. buff he's ready to leave that hospital and get back to 9 white house and work for the american people. jesse: he just released a video. roll right. >> i had no choice. i didn't want to stay in the white house. i was given that offer. stay in the white house. don't even go to the oval office. just stay upstairs, don't see people or talk to people and be
9:23 pm
done with it. but i can't do that. i had to be out front. this is america. this is the united states. this is the greatest country in the world. this is the most powerful country in the world. i can't be locked upstairs totally safe and say whatever happens, happens. i can't do that. we have to confront problems. as a leader you have to confront problems. there has never been a great leader that would have done that. jesse: that's the message, he wasn't going to hide from the virus. he was going to campaign and show the american people what it took to get this country back open. he was fearless about it. some people say reckless. he was fearless. he contracted the virus and will recover, god willing under great medical care. what kind of message does that send to the american people? >> at 25% capacity, donald trump
9:24 pm
is better, more energetic and has more ability than most -- mt people a fourth his age. you can't keep up with him. nobody can. that's not a myth. that's the reality about him. we have to remember, donald trump taught republicans how to fight. for the first time republicans actually are fighting back. we are not fighting back just to get power. we are fighting for our country. we are fighting to make sure this country does not go the way of socialism and the way the left wants it to go. where we have mobs burning things and threatening people, who just want to be left alone and live their lives in peace. we are the party of the emancipation proclamation.
9:25 pm
not he mass cu the emasculation proclamation. a country is out of control that would actually spy on a presidential candidate. this election is not about donald trump. it's much more about our future. jesse: it's certainly a challenge, when you look back in 2016, youd a access hollywood. then the president was faced with impeachment and social unrest. if he can meet this infection head on and do it honestly and chronicle his condition for the american people and do it openly and honestly and authentically, even in a self-deprecating way. it shows the american people what kind of leader he is.
9:26 pm
it will help propel him so when he recovers, a serious momentum with 0 days left in this campaign. >> great leader rise to the greatest of challenges. look at the enthusiasm for this president. the hundreds of people outside the hot on the d.c.-maryland border. my friend david bossie holding the flag for the donald trump movement. it's our chance to fight for him. let me tell you what the campaign is in minnesota, new hampshire, nevada. states we narrowly lost last time in 2016. we'll be victorious because of the promises he made and the promises he kept. the people of these states are better because donald trump is our president. we are asking everyone to stand in the breach and fight for
9:27 pm
president trump as he has done for us unwavering 24 hours a day and everything that's been thrown at him through his administration. we'll give -- he will give us the chance to show how grateful we are. he's going to get out of this hospital, he will be back on the road and he will make sure he knows we are grateful for all he accomplished for this country. jesse: that's a powerful message and we appreciate it. president trump sending a second video out. we are going to tell you about that. in the next few days are very critical. we'll talk to a doctor about the treatment plan.
9:30 pm
9:31 pm
time. president trump has been fee-free for a day and he has not needed any supplemental oxygen. former new jersey governor chris christie tested positive for covid-19. he checked himself into the knowledge medical center. he says he has only had mild symptoms but went to the hospital because he has asthma. he has struggled with his weight for many years. now back to "watters' world." jesse: a fox news alert. president trump release a new video from walter reed medical center updating the country on his condition. >> we are going to beat his coronavirus or whatever you want to call it. and we'll beat it soundly. so many things have happened. if you look at the therapeutics which i am taking right now. some of them. others are coming out soon that
9:32 pm
are looking like -- frankly they are miracles. people criticize me when i say that. but we have things happening that look like they are miracles coming down from god. i'm starting to feel good. jesse: president trump looking better after spending the night at one of the finest military hospitals in the world. he's being treated with remdesivir and an experimental antibody cocktail. doctors say he's responding well. but the next two days are the most critical. dr. siegel. he was diagnosed thursday night. we have the white house chief of staff mark meadows told the associated press, there were some concerning moments the last 24 hours, and on friday there was a possible progression in some of the symptoms. but it looks like they
9:33 pm
intervened very quickly. what are your thoughts on how the treatment is going so far. >> i like how he's improving it's disturbing to hear he had problems friday, but it's very encouraging on the other hand. i can't make a strong clinical observation in the video. but he's speaking slowly, doesn't seem to be having shortness of breath. we heard from dr. conley that he isn't on ox gin and had normal oxygen levels. he looked like someone that is ill, but he looked like he was quite stable from the video. and was clearly comfortable when he was speaking. i thought that was encouraging. jesse: it was night and day in my personal opinion between the video he put out yesterday where he was standing in the white house and the video he put out
9:34 pm
there. there was a lot of controversy today as to whether he was administered oxygen at the white house friday. tell us your thoughts about oxygen in this situation. >> oxygen is given pretty early in this situation just for comfort. if you are at the white house and you feel short of breath they will give you oxygen. but what's interesting is the saturation from what we are hearing from walter reed this morning is normal. what i'm looking at, the issue of the fact that this virus can cause inflammation in the lungs. right now that doesn't seem to be occurring. we can't tell for sure. you would have to have a ct scan to know that for sure. if this oxygen saturation is that good and he's speaking comfortably, it's a good sign he doesn't have major lung be
9:35 pm
issues right now. jesse: he doesn't have a fever. he's been walking around. we talked to a few people who spoke to him on the phone and he sounds like he wants to storm back on to the campaign trail. he seems like he might escape in scrubs from this hospital and get out there to a rally. how long do you think they can keep him at the hospital if he's feeling better? >> i think they will have to keep him until they finish the remdesivir. which is five days. but the point you are making is so true. even in a weakened condition president trump is stronger than a lot of other people. my experience of 30 years of taking care of patients, when they get rambunctious and say get me out of here, that's a good sign they are on the road to recovery. jesse: thank you very much for your expertise.
9:40 pm
jesse: the chinese communist controlled media going after president trump after he tests positive for the coronavirus. an editor-in-chief tweeted president trump and the first lady paid the price for his gamble to play down covid-19. the news shows the severity of the u.s. situation. it will impose a negative impact on the image of the u.s. and president trump. he later deleted the tweet and president xi took a warmer approach, wishing the president
9:41 pm
and the first lady a fast recovery. this makes my blood boil. if you have think about the fact that this escaped from a lab in china. we don't know if it was accidental. but the fact they shut down flights from wuhan to the rest of china. let them go all over the world. and hid the information from the world and kept ppe. 200,000 americans have died. and it's reached the upper echelons of the u.s. government. i couldn't call it an assassination attempt, but this is on a massive scale. >> republicans have been investigating china for a long
9:42 pm
time. donald trump is the first republican republicans or democrats to be on the campaign trail in 206 saying clearly he would take on china, then do it. i remember when he said at first he was going to put on tariffs. i thought every president hes it and it's not going to happen. but i will be damned he does it. the chinese communist party talking points sounds like 90% of the media in this country. i just want to be clear. i have been in the white house several times during this coronavirus pandemic. and it's sow silly, the media that talks about how they have been loose or lax with the rules. it's hardly that. it's almost impossible to get into the white house. you have to take a test. you have to sit outside. all this talk from the democrats
9:43 pm
and mayor mainstream pop began today or satellite propaganda in china. i can tell you this president has taken the virus extremely seriously, and let's hope for an early and quick recovery. jesse: i want the media and the democrats to focus on the real villains. the chinese communist party that oversaw the release of this virus, accidentally we believe. buff you need a full scope and understanding how this got out and how it was covered up. pointing your finger at donald trump doesn't do anybody any good. >> it's another example of how just not ready china is to be a world leader on the world stage. we have this idea, this concept that we were going to be friends with china. their economy was going to grow,
9:44 pm
we were going to lift billions of people out of poverty around the globe. but these are dictators who are not ready on leaders on the global stage. jesse: they squandered all goodwill they had. congressman, thank you very much. president trump testing positive for covid-19 is the october surprise a lot of people did not see coming. where does the race stand 30 days before voters head to the polls. joining me is mark thiessen. this has done something that people didn't think was possible. that is humanize president trump. people are sympathizing with him. if he can go through something millions of americans have suffered through and do it honestly and come out of it and recover.
9:45 pm
it's almost like the i am bhol of america recovering. -- like the symbol of america recovering. if he can do that and come back strong, i think this can show everybody what he's made of. what the country is made of, and we are hoping for that. >> agreed 100%. the video he put out today was terrific. e looked more vick russ and clear head than joe biden does on a normal day. jesse: joe biden says he wasn't tested today. he will be tested tomorrow. he took down a lot of his negative ads. that was a classy move so far. but i don't think the president has stopped campaigning. you heard at the top, he's already dialing in strategies. where do you see things 30 days out. >> i think you are right about
9:46 pm
the sympathy for the president. this humanizes him, and it's an opportunity for a reset on covid. this is a chance for the white house to counter one of the biden campaign's main talking points to that the president hasn't been transparent when it comes to the virus. this is a chance to be a model of transparency and openness about his covid diagnosis and how this happened. the president was great in the video today. but there was a controversy over whether and when he had oxygen. why is there a controversy about when he had oxygen. the doctor when he gave miss briefing, he said he's not on it today. twice. there is nothing wrong with being on oxygen when you have covid.
9:47 pm
you had the white house chief of staff saying things were more serious than the doctor was saying. jesse: the more the media puts trump 6 feet under, he can come back from this and look like the strongest guy alive and create a comeback narrative that no one could have scripted before. we hope that's the case. we hope he recovers. the fate of this presidency is how he handles the next week, week and a half. i am sure he's got best doctors in the world making sure he can do that safely. thank you for your insight. we appreciate it. the media and the left quick to launch attacks on president trump after he tests positive. "the washington post" imagining what it would be like to never have to think about trump again. that's just the tip of the iceberg.
9:51 pm
9:52 pm
and call it a hoax and so on and so forth. >> president trump now in quarantine has become a symbol of his own failures. >> here we are. it's like ultimate karma. jesse: the mainstream media quick to pounce and launch attacks on president trump following the coronavirus diagnosis. "the washington post" wondering what it would be like not to every have to think about trump again. and wondering if donald trump, jr. even has the coronavirus. here is a former trump administration official wishing trump was dead. joining me to discuss, joe concha. these people are grim reapers.
9:53 pm
i think it's a sign of brain damage if you tweet you hope your own president dies. this is just the tip of the iceberg. >> this isn't some troll on twitter. this is a national spokesperson for obama in 2013. jumping ahead to the worst possible scenarios and conspiracy theories, people said the moon landing was staged looks sane. their national security analyst says it's very likely russian intelligence agencies through walter reed have more information about the president's true condition than we do. though i think we all know how the president is doing. doctors lie, too. she is accusing dr. conley of
9:54 pm
lying. she is also saying the 11 doctors treating the president are in on this conspiracy, too. jess require's so reckless and i are responsible. it'it -- it's damaging the republic. if you can't be straight with us covering the president's health, what else can't we trust? these people are crawling out from under rocks saying the most disgusting things imaginable. there are a lot of cnn anchors infected by covid-19. we don't blame people for being infected. this an invisible enemy that gets people sick. we don't know how the president contracted it. we don't know when or where. let's wait for the information to come out before we start
9:55 pm
naphomming this guy who is in the hospital in a touch-and-go situation. i'm sorry we mad to report that. buff we wanted to be honest with you about how disgusting some of the president's opponents are. you've still got game. at aetna, we find that inspiring. but to stay on top of your game takes a plan.

9:59 pm
[♪] jesse: president trump's supporters showing their love across the country. parades in honor of the commander-in-chief spanning several cities. no doubt that support helping the president stay positive. president trump i think we'll have a good result the next few days, we'll probably know for sure. i want to thank everybody out in all over the world. specifically the united states, the outpouring of love has been
10:00 pm
incredible. i will never forget. thank you very much. jesse: we are sending our prayers to president trump and first lady melania. follow me on ashley: a fox news alert. i'm ashley strohmier in new york. president trump's medical team says he's improving but the next few days are critical. he has been at walter reed medical center since friday. the white house physician says he's now fever-free. for an update on president trump's condition we go to brian lega -- bryanllenas. reporter: the six-room suite includes an intensive care unit
