we were talking about how we could get the speak e nancy pelosi, to stop playing politics and get a covid relief bill and how he was continuing even in his own state that he got that to the american public, that the airlines were not laying people off, that we could put people before politics. maria: nancy pelosi reacted to the president's coronavirus test and she said it was a brazen -- the way he acted was a bray zip invitation -- brazen invitation. you have heard a lot of hate online. your reaction to what you're hearing from the president's critics this morning. >> well, it's rather disgusting. we've watched speaker pelosi say this before, that we're enemies of the state. this is uncalled for, especially in this time and place. and remember, other nations are watching america. this is a one time that we could unite together. ldi listened to the president's voice, none of those type of languages to anybody. the one thing i did hear more of, how committed he's even

doubling down to make sure that he lowers prescription drug prices, that he protects pre-existing conditions. and he is sitting here trying to work with this speaker to get a covid relief package together and these are the comments that she makes? it's really unbecoming of that position. maria: it's unbelievable. look, congressman, i want to move on to what you were briefed on this week. this is really important. which is what the director of national intelligence, john ratcliffe, declassified this week, a major bombshell that we got when ratcliffe sent a letter to lindsey graham, going through the intelligence that he was declassifying. you are a member of the gang of eight which is a term for a set of eight leaders within the country, and within congress who are briefed on classified intelligence matters by the executivee branch. you were briefed on this information this week. so let's talk about it. here's the letter to chairman graham. what we learned here is on
1:06 pm
september 7th, 2016, u.s. intelligence officials forwarded an investigative referral to fbi director jim comey and peter strzok, regarding u.s. presidential candidate hillary clinton approved a plan concerning a u.s. presidential candidate, donald trump, and russian hackers hampering u.s. election as a means of distracting the public from her use of a private e-mail from her private server. so we see that hillary clinton approved a plan to stir up a scandal about donald trump in 2016. congressman, we've been talking about the russia hoax now for three and-a-half years and now we learn that it was hillary clinton's idea. what can you tell us? >> well, when director ratcliffe released this, the leaders of congress wanted to have a meeting because no one in congress, the house or the senate, had ever seen this information. even though we have spent all these years investigating. now, let's walk through -- and remember, i must be careful here. some of this is h classified.
1:07 pm
but let's talk about what's in ratcliffe's letter. first, we find out in july of 2016 that russian intelligence had picked up that hillary clinton's campaign was going to create a false narrative of trump and russia colluding. we now find out in july 26th 26that the cia director in his n notes briefs the president on this, brennan, to president obama. then just this wednesday, comey gets asked a question about this referral that you just talked about in september. he said it doesn't ring a bell. but i've seen the underlying proof. but inside ratcliffe's letter, this referral from the cia was sent to the fbi to peter strzok and to comey. now, remember peter strzok, he was on crossfire hurricane and the mueller report and never once did this intelligence show up anywhere, in any of those investigations, or to congress or to the senate. so what we know with all of this -- and i know everything that's going on this week, this is the
1:08 pm
biggest news that didn't get reported. that we find out that there was no collusion between trump and russia, that it was created by hillary clinton in a campaign in july of 2016, that the cia director, john brennan, that the fbi director comey, and the president of the united states barack obama all knew about that. and was never brought to congress. and we have wasted two years in this congress and all the time before wanting to get this information, asking the question. so another question that comes up, who has withheld this information. credit to director ratcliffe for the transparency of releasing it to the house and senate. every member of congress should read the underlying information behind this. this is really a bombshell of what we have wasted so much time on that it was created by hillary clinton, president obama knew it, john brennan knew it and comey knew it. and never gave the information to the american public, let known to congress or the senate.
1:09 pm
maria: this is a disgrace. for three and-a-half years, the whole country was up in arms about this narrative that president trump colluded with russia. all this time, nobody even mentioned this intelligence that they actually knew that hillary clinton was behind it. justin like they lied to the fia court and never told the fisa court that hillary clinton and her campaign and the dnc actually paid for the dossier, congressman. >> and remember the dates here. july 2016,er during the campaig. president obama was briefed by the cia director in july by those notes what ratcliffe put forward. a memo was sent to comey and to peter strzok who was part of crossfire hurricane and the mueller report and never did this intel ever come forward. this is exactly what i warned about. remember, we talked about this,

a commitment to america, that the democrats want to dismantle this nation. this proves it. there's a different way to go forward to rebuild, restore and renew america. maria: yes. and let me just say before you go, the cia director, gina haspel, apparently has been blocking declassification. many sources have told me that she does not want the spotlight on the cia. what can you tell us about that? because as i understand it, this is only a small portion of what john ratcliffe wanted to declassify. there's more. is there more coming? >> well, there should be more coming. you know, the person who doesn't want this to come out is probably hillary clinton and adam schiff because a what have they taken america through? we're finding out hillary clinton's campaign created this. propelled it even though underlying facts proved that the president knew about ntit, obama, that cia knew about it and the fbi knew about it and
1:11 pm
they withheld that information from the house and the senate. nobody in congress has ever seen this information. this is the biggest news because of everything that's going on that the public has not seen yet and this is -- this should drive every member of congress to go get the underlying information that john ratcliffe had just made transparent ton the world. maria: and by the way, it should outrage every american, because our rights and liberties have been a trampled on. congressman, we're going to keep following it as we have been from day one. thank you h so much for joinings and for shining a spotlight on what a we learned this week. thankk you, sir. >> thank you, maria. i'm looking forward to your new book. maria: thank you so much. the cost, trump, china and american revival will be out in three weeks,iv congressman kevin mccarthy, it's great to see you gr gthis morning. coming up, arkansas senator tom cotton with reaction to three of his senate colleagues testing for covid-19 since friday and what impact that could have on tthe supreme court confirmation process, set to begin on october 12th, all that and more right

1:16 pm
many people were exposed. what can you tell us? >> yeah, thatl maria, thanks foe question. i'm doing fine. i extend my deepest wishes to the president and the first lady and every american who has been you affected by this virus to get well very quickly. i've been in contact with my colleagues who either tested positive or who have been exposed, and to my knowledge as of last night everyone remains either asymptomatic or has mild symptoms and hasn't required hospitalization. what i can say is that everyone is eager to be at work when they need to be at work, if they're on the judiciary committee, a week from tomorrow either in person or virtually to have the hconfirmation hearings for jude barrett and then have the vote on judge barrett this month. the president has nominated an outstanding jurist to be on the supreme court. i visited with her this week and only confirmed my high opinion of her. i expect that's going to be the case of the american people when they see judge barrett at her
1:17 pm
confirmation hearing starting a week from tomorrow and none of this should have impact on the schedule of either the senate in the judiciary committee or the senate as a whole. maria: i want to just point out that we showed video of the event with amy coney barrett, not everybody at the event contracted covid-19 obviously. but three senators have and that's why i mentioned that event. tell me about the proceedings. you say you are confident that youre will be able to in fact he the nomination hearings for judge barrett. you think this will not impact the schedule or the agenda, sir. >> no doubt about it, maria. several of the senators who are in isolation right now would come out of isolation before the hearings begin but the senate judiciary committee has also conducted 20 hearings this year that have either been in part or in whole virtual. many senate democrats who are now saying we couldn't possibly do a virtual hearing were
1:18 pm
demanding throughout the year, going back to march, that all committees be conducted over zoom or web ex-or some other kind of virtual hearing. the hearing is going to go forward no doubt in my starting a week from tomorrow and then on the senate floor later this month, first offff i think every senator who isnk currently testd positive or is in isolation will be back to work under normal conditions. as other senators have been as well, like rand paul or of tim cane. but if that's not the case, there is a long tradition of ill or medically infirmed senators being wheeled in to cast critical votes on the senate floor. most recently robert byrd of 2009 repeatedly rolled in, in a wheelchair, months before his death tor vote for obamacare. so i'm confident that every senator will be in attendance when his or her vote is needed. maria: what are you expecting from these hearings? we know how contentious the hearing was for brett kavanaugh, particularly kamala harris, when she was questioning him.
1:19 pm
what are you expecting from vice presidential candidate kamala harris? >> well, kamala harris in the hearings with brett kavanaugh revealed what a terrible politician she is, just like last year when she lit money from her donors on fire without makingow it to the caucuses. in the hearings with brett kavanaugh she insinuated there's some kind of connection between him and a law firm and russian enagents, without any evidence d dropped it without following it up. in another hearing for a catholiche judge, she attacked m for belonging to a catholic social organizations, criticizing him as if his faith impacted the way he could rule. i would suspect she would launch the same kind of attacks she did in the past, just like dianne feinstein attacked amy coney barrett, saying the dogma lives within you. insaid mor.
1:20 pm
last weekend you had some democratic voices attacking her for adopting two haitian children, on social media. i'm afraid we'll see more of that. we ought not to see it but that's probably what the democrats have up their sleeves. maria: why are they so upset about this? they don'tut want the presidento name another supreme court justice. >> well, that's the bottom line, maria. like it's why joe biden won't reveal his potential supreme court nominees, putting out a list the way donald trump does because it would expose the radical left wing agenda of the democrats. any judge that joe biden tnominates would impose his vies on the american people, taking critical questions away from them, not protecting their second amendment rights or in many cases the first amendment rights. that's what the democrats want the courts to achieve by litigation, what they can't achieve byat legislation.
1:21 pm

1:27 pm
of the pandemic here much greater, much earlier than it was. it's just another example of how joe biden has always been soft on china and if he's elected president, will surrender all of the gains we've made over the last four years standing up to china finally. maria: well, it's of course -- president trump is the first leader to really pokein poke ofn china's behavior, stealing intellectual property for so long from this country. what's your take w on what theye wstealing now? you were the first to call out china and call out the seriousness of this disease, you also were among the first -- you were the first on this program to say they were stealing our research on covid-19 as we speak. is that still going on? how do you stop it? >> yeah, maria, the chinese communist party continues to try to steal everything that's not bolted down to the floor and after they've gotten all that, they'll bring bolt cutters back and try to take the rest of the

1:37 pm
we had to fight through subpoenas, we had to prove that it was the clinton campaign and the dnc that had paid for the dirty dossier, this dirty information. remember all of that that happened? we should have been -- they knew about this four years ago when myself and speaker at the time paul ryan were briefed and they hid this from us and they continued to hide it all the way until we incovered it. i will tell you, the documents that are underlying that we now have seen, i've only seen a you those. there's definitely smoking guns. that information needs to be made available to the american public. from what i understand, there's even more underlying evidence that backs up what director ratcliffe put out and just think how long it took for us to figure out this information. i know it's mind boggling. this has been a very difficult task for us to get to the bottom of because you have corrupt of icials. i think that's the pointpt here. are you going to go back and
1:38 pm
elect somebody like biden who just the other night, maria, had the adas a -- adacity to go aftr president trump once again. i think he said he had putin wrapped around his finger and then he didn't answer the question of why did his son get three and-a-half million dollars from a russian oligarch with ties to putin? 23 ivanka trump had bought a big mac in the red square by a russian oligarch, they would have locked her up, said this is evidence of collusion. here you have the media, the propaganda arm of the democratic party, ignoring all of this, ignoring all of this for the last four years and now you have on a debate stage why did your son get paid three and-a-half million dollars from a russian oligarch. here they've been blaming republicans had something to do with russia when the whole damn time they having to do with russia. i think what they think is that it's okay for them to take all this money and grift but they'll
1:39 pm
just take and accuse republicans of doing it to cover up their tracks. and that's basically what we knew about this the whole time. there was plenty of circumstantial evidence to knowo this, maria, that the clinton campaign created all of this because they knew 33,000 e-mail were out there somewhere. they knew that jason chaffetz and how republicans were trying to find t mails. what did they do? they paraded a sick fantasy. this was the clinton campaign. i want you to remember this, the clinton campaign created the sick fantasy, then they hired avatars to do this. they hired steele who did the steele dossier. they hired a suspected russian spy. now you have the democrats hiring russian spies. getting three and-a-half million dollars from moscow and nobody in the media seems to give a damn about it. i think what leader mccarthy said is right. every republican, senator and member of congress should be saying this is over.
1:40 pm
we want every damn bit of evidence that every intelligence agency has or it's maybe time to shut those agencies down. because at the end of the day, our liberties are more important than anything else we have in this country and they have been stampeded over by these dirty cops and the democratic party and the media who fails to report on it. maria: yeah. this is absolutely shameful, that this report last week that dni ratcliffe declassified got no coverage from the mainstream media. no coverage, what a disgrace that our liberties and rights have been trampled over because of one political campaign coming up withig an idea to stir up a fantasy, stir up a scandal around the other political campaign and the fbi went right along with it and weaponized our intelligence agencies to go against donald trump. so what else can you tell us

about this? you were briefed by dni ratcliffe, part of the gang of eight, a small group of eight congressmen who are privy to intelligence out of the executive branch. what can youex tell us? is there more coming? and by the m way, you just said many times you've never seen this. when thisn story first came out flast week, that is the first thing that the media said this was out and it was debunked. what you're saying is you've never seen this. >> yes. well, look, remember, the media is essentially the democratic national committee. so they're putting out the same propaganda to cover up the tracks that the media was involved in this the whole time. remember what i was saying, we were looking for all this information because we suspected -- look, it was really -- i've got to credit lee smith the ainvestigative journalist who wrote about this in his book. he discovered by looking at what the media was saying, looking at what the campaign was saying and the timing of it all and he got

because jamesll comey is blaming lower level, mid-level career intelligence officials for this cewhole debacle. he's pleading that he didn't know anything about it and they did it. so this is the first moment where he's throwing the intelligence community officials, career officials under the bus. maria: so he's throwing them under the bus by saying he didn't knoww anything. was this not the most important investigation the fbi has ever conducted into a sitting president and he says he didn't know? if he didn'tt know, why was this investigation happening out of headquarters? right. wouldn't an investigation happen in the field office? instead, it wasd right there under his watch. how is w it possible that he didn't know? >> oh, i think it's not possible at all. he was a leader who knew every detail, took copious notes, and
