i think the president will become somewhat invincible from the voters' eyes and i think it ill will have ane enormous impact. todd: this is the average polling in florida, pennsylvania, michigan, wisconsin, north carolina and arizona, the president is not winning in any of of them. how worried are you that with less than a month to go before election day that time is running out? >> todd, i'm not worried at all. those polls are heavily democrat sampled. i think you have to go back to 2016 and look at the polls, look at what they said, hillary clinton was up by 11, 12 points within 29 days of the election. we're at the same point now. i think the president -- this is trump country. i think the president's going to win. i think he's going to win big. todd: a record 3.2 million americans have already cast early ballots in 21 states with democrats out-voting republicans. will election day tell a different story?

2:31 am
theme here for the president has been out of abundance of caution, he is the president of the united states, they're watching him very closely so they decided to start him on dexamethasone on saturday. whether they're continuing dexamethasone, we still don't know. but for the president and really anybody, what we're looking for to send them home are 48 hours without using oxygen and without having a fever. now, we know the president hadn't had a fever since friday, which is what they had told us. and then they also of, again, we know he had oxygen on friday. it's unclear whether or not he had oxygen saturday. but thee considerat theoreticale did have oxygen saturday, if he hasn't had it since then he's approaching the 48 hour mark which is why they're having the conversation about potentially sending him back to the white house. jillian: that being said about potentially sending him back to the white house, there's talk about the fact that he's on a five day dose of remdesivir and some people argue that perhaps during the course of those five days he should stay where he is, at walter reed medical center.
2:32 am
what do you think about that? >> well, let's be honest, jillian. first of all, the president going back to the white house is not like you or i leaving the hospital and going back home. the president has 24/7 medical care and so he has people monitoring him. he was already given treatment. he was already given oxygen at the white house. so as long as he is able to be closely monitored, i think it's okay. being on remdesivir itself doesn't necessitate being in the hospital. actually, people are taking it outpatient in clinical trials and also in treatment. but that being said, if he's able to perform his work functions, if he's able to continue on, whether he's at walter reed or back at the white house, it's really a flip of the coin to me. if he's demonstrating need for oxygenation, if he spikes a fever again, if he is having a bump in any of his blood work, then of course i'd like to see him at walter reed. but if it's just a matter of taking a certain medication, i think it doesn't matter where he takes it from. jillian: interesting.
2:33 am
what do you see when you look at the videos, the couple videos that he's released. he looks to be in good spirits. you're the doctor. when you look at these videos, you hear his speech, not hearing a ton of shortness of breath in my opinion, not a doctor, but what are you seeing? >> i mean, we can all speculate all we want. i think people -- the misinformation train has certainly left the station when it came to evaluating the president during these speeches. to me, i actually really appreciate him getting in front of the camera. i think transparency is very important. he hasn't seemed out of breath to me. he seems irritated that he has to address this situation. i would be too. it's a frustrating situation. i think it's okay, going out and driving around and waving to his fans. he's getting a lot of flak for that. with that being said, there's nothing routine about the president of the united states and by the way, being on dexamethasone can actually give you even more energy than you

underlying that we now have seen, i've only seen a few of those. they're definitely smoking guns. that information definitely needs to be made available to the american public. and from what i understand, there's even more underlying evidence that backs up what director ratcliffe put out. todd: it comes as the senate judiciary committee postpones testimony from andrew mccabe after the former fbi deputy director raised covid health concerns. all right, watch this, a dramatic rescue caught on camera. four injured national guard members air-lifted to safety after assisting in the wildfire fight in california. the group found themselves trapped on a mountainside while battling the bear fire. their only way out was up. the men were treated for leg injuries and heat exhaustion. they have all been released from the hospital. jillian: a sign of relief, some evacuation orders are lifted as firefighters get a handle on the glass fire in california.
2:36 am
residents can return home in sonoma and napa counties. the wildfire has destroyed nearly 65,000 acres. meteorologist adam klotz joins us with more on the weather conditions that firefighters continue to face. it's been brutal, adam. >> it really has been brutal. the good news as you're saying, things are beginning to improve ayou cross portions of california. there's a lot of wildfires out there, 66 of 100 acres or greater. most of those are in california or up and down the west coast, some more into the central western states and that's going to be the case for the rest of the day. pretty much nonstop over the last six weeks or so, we've seen at least some sort of red flag warnings up and down the california coast. not the case today. our real concern is going to be through portions of colorado and a little farther towards the east. that's where the air is drier, that's where it's warm earn. things improve along the west coast. you see temperatures a little cooler for your forecasted highs in some of these cases into the 70s or so. certainly a little bit more hugh
