here's a question i haven't heard anybody ask in the postdebate stuff. did kamala harris demonstrate to you that she's ready to take over as commander-in-chief if something happens to joe biden? >> she certainly showed she was able to keep her composure, she pushed back when she could, she could push back harder but that would have been criticized as well. if i were her i would explain what she's done on criminal justice reform and take some accountability on her past issues, being willing to say what she wanted to break, we will talk about the positive things she is earning criminal justice reform like starting her reentry programs. she had the mark. some would say above it, being able to show she can lead. there is always criticism out there. i'm looking at everyone on both sides, don't think people will be satisfied at this point. most people's decisions are made

didn't do everything right, we could have been lost 2 million americans at this point, versus 2 million. i thought that was good. i think he held her on her record. her and joe biden by the fact that they would raise taxes on millions of americans, not just those that make over 400,000 but if you are going to take away all the trump tax cuts, you are literally reversing the fortunes that americans have gained under this president's leadership. i thought what he brought was competence for individuals who may have liked the trump administration but maybe not like his rhetoric or maybe not like how he interacts on twitter or whatever that maybe the case. they saw mike pension as a statesman. and for a lot of these folks that want to vote for trump maybe not, they're happy now. jillian: tony, i see you shaking your head in agreement. what are you agreeing with and what stood out to you? >> well, there's a couple of things. mike pence is the statesman.

and mike pence is always the guy who completely and totally unflappable in every way. but in some of those conversations that you talked about taxes gianno and some of the other things there are things that kamala harris brought up that i don't think are the top focus things for america. when she brought back up russia for example i thought was that a miss for her. she was strongest on coronavirus and strongest in saying that the trump administration has not actually satisfied the american people and failed the american people. i think the problem is and i think you point to it in some of the frank luntz pulling and things like that while and this is really about what party you belong. to say the political left thinks that mike pension was man explaining and the political right takes a how kamala harris responds and reacts to things that's not the way a vice president or a leader should do it. if we are going to talk about presidential tone, mike pence wins that category hands down going away every single time.

biden and kamala harris didn't condemn during their dnc speech and, in fact, the kamala harris team was bailing folks out of jail. and truthfully speaking for americans who suffered under coronavirus, lost their job, lost their incomes, these folks want to see law and order restored and when the polls begin to change into the directions of donald trump, who spoke about law and order, that's when the democrats begin to speak differently about the chaos that has been going on in our streets. the trump administration is best suited to preserve and protect the country from the rioting and the lotting and bring it back on track to a path of prosperity. jillian: tony, i want to get your take on this last topic before we run out of time. this is about transition of power. take a listen to what mike pence had to say last night. >> senator, your party has spent the last three and a half years trying to overturn the results of the last election. it's amazing. when joe biden was vice president of the united states, the fbi actually spied on president trump and my campaign.

jillian: what do you think about that messaging, tony? >> i think that it's dead on. nobody did more to stop the peaceful transition of power than the obama team on january 5th, 2017 when they sat there in the oval office and continued to hatch plans. as we are seeing from the dissatisfied information from the dni, john ratcliffe from former cia director john brennan and that hillary clinton was trying to figure out how to tie trump to russia and here we are all the way down the line. it's an extremely important subject. because the people who don't believe in the transition of power are the progressive left because they believe they should be the total power and they don't mind how they destroy and they don't mind what they put in play to tritry destroy. that's what's obvious. i'm glad the vice president made that discuss continuation so clear. jillian: there you go. thank you, guys, for joining us. todd: i like you two together. you should go on his podcast. and you should go on his radio show. america wins. >> gianno caldwell subscribe.
