steve: bring in joe concha, media reporter for the hill. joe, you almost need to diagram what's going on with this debate. it may or may not happen next thursday who knows? what we do know for sure is the fact that the commission decided to go ahead and make it virtual without talking to the campaign for october the 15th, which is way past the 10 days that the cdc says that the president should quarantine after first showing symptoms. so, it kind of looks to a lot of people like it was a gift to the other joe. joe biden. >> steve, the commission on presidential debates has not done well here in terms of basically almost everything. the next moderator, at the debate you are talking about, which was supposed to be for october 1569. now who knows if it happens. steve scully, okay, he interned for the biden campaign. if i'm picking -- if i'm picking a moderator i'm pretty sure i don't pick the person who once

worked in any capacity for any of the candidates. if he interned for the trump campaign i would be saying the same exact thing. at one point last night and this is very telling a tweet from steve scully and i'm not sure if he knew that he was tweeting or that he was sending a text so to speak or a direct message. here's what he had to say. all right. why is the -- i'm sorry, he asked should i respond to trump? and he wrote to this it anthony scaramucci who is now one of president's most staunch critics. why is he talking to anthony scaramucci? why is he asking should i respond to trump? that's a very bad thing? it's very easy here, steve. you move this debate back to october 22nd. you move the third debate, which was scheduled for that day back to october 29th because you have time. steve: the commission says, joe, the commission says they will not do that the last debate will be nashville on the 22nd according to the commission. but who knows.

>> right. but the election is november 3rd. so why not just move the debates back one week each and everybody is happy in the biden campaign won't agree to that. if you do a virtual debate, here's the problem. there are many people out there -- i am not in this camp. i want to be very clear about that who think if it's virtual then, therefore, joe biden will have a chance to cheat in some way, shape or form with a teleprompter with an ear piece with being coached in some way, shape, or form. i don't think that would happen because i think at least the debate commission would make sure that doesn't happen. but, you give this whole suspicion that this thing is fixed somehow. and after what i just telling you about steve scully the next debate moderator, it's a legitimate criticism. i don't think it's valid but, again, we have to at least have the american people believe that the election will be fair. the debates will be fair. but here's the problem. joe biden agreed to a town hall on abc on october 15th. that was the original date for

the debate. look at what happened at the last two town halls for joe biden. cnn held one two weeks ago. steve: infomercial. >> 16 questions of joe biden, knock three by republicans. 13 by democrats. if i'm an objective news organization i'm pretty sure i go 8-8, maybe in terms of party that asks the questions. in terms of the voters and affiliation. then at nbc a couple days ago, steve, you had undecided voters. it was billed as. the problem is two of those voters are on msnbc talking about how they were already going to vote for biden. you have other people at that debate or at least that town hall on their social media pages literally with photos up of biden-harris and how they are going to vote for them. no one trusts the town halls either. trust is gone in terms of the debates, in terms of the town halls. our institutions, i swear, they are broken at least the media is supposed to be one that holds those institutions true. it's not happening at this

point. ainsley: yeah. the commission did say that they didn't want to have this debate because so many people had tested positive and quarantined that surround the president, even though he might be clear for the five days, they were worried about other people, which is a valid reason. all right. so this is the front cover of the post this morning. it says she's cuckoo spelled like coup, a coup. she wants to introduce a bill evaluating the president's fitness using the 25th amendment. here she was yesterday. >> i think that the public needs to note health condition of the president. there is one question that he refuses -- they refuse to answer. when was -- before he got the virus, and admitted to it, when was his last negative test? when was his last negative test? to make a judgment about the actions that were taken after

what we're talking about. of course it is. if i'm a reporter covering that press conference or any news organization afterwards the only thing i hear is 25th amendment and we're going to be talking about that tomorrow. and the bottom line is that, look, the president's doctors need to answer that question; however, they need to tell us whether he has had a negative test or not. i mean, that's very important. again, we are only at, what, october 9th. if we want to have these debates on october 15th. that's plenty of time for the president to test negative. but, speaking of not answering questions. joe biden just yesterday would not answer if he would pack the supreme court; in other words, add additional justices to it. stothe point where it looks likn nfl roster. he said i'm not going to answer it now i'm going to ad answer it after the election. i'm paraphrasing. that should be the focus of every news organization. that fundamentally changes the country if you changed third branch of government in terms of the supreme court. not a lot of people talking

for impact from hurricane delta. expected to make landfall this afternoon with light threatening conditions. casey stegall "fox news live" lake charles which is still recovering from hurricane laura 8 weeks as. casey? >> good morning, a recovery that is still very, very fresh. hurricane laura hit this region and devastated it six weeks ago and six weeks later, look at that back there you still have trees on cars, you have piles of debris littering the roadway, even some downed power lines, still, if you can believe that. now hurricane delta is closing in on almost the exact same spot, making a very similar path. a landfall is forecasted for this evening in southwest louisiana near cammeron, louisiana, which is about 50 miles or so to the south of us as a category 2 storm. dumping up to 14 inches of rain in isolated places and bringing up to 11 feet of storm surge. along portions of the coast.

try to turn the clock back to 2016. the iran nuclear deal was a political disaster masquerading as a diplomatic triumph. and what it did is it gave iran all the benefits of being welcomed back into the international community. huge payoffs up front. the relief of sanctions. and what did they do with those profits because it's the iranian state that controls these businesses that were benefiting from contracts and letters of agreement is they funded this four decade long proxy war against us in a way that intensified their actions. from, you know, from lebanon, which we see a state that's in free fall in large measure because of what iran has been doing in the region. and what iran is doing, brian, they are fueling the cycle of you recall religious conflict to keep the arab world weak and immeasured in conflict so they can put a proxy army on the border of israel. it's important for us to pursue -- continue to pursue this isolation of iran and the sanctions that constrain the

steve: let's take you back to a couple months ago after the arrest of george floyd in minneapolis that your salon was three days away from reopening and rioters and looters torched your place, right? >> yes. yes, they did. >> and i was reading this morning that apparently you had spray painted or somebody had spray painted on the outside of your salon black owned. in hopes that that would help, right? >> yes. steve: well, what happened that night? >> >> i get a call that my place is on fire. i had like two buildings there, and when i get there, it was just up -- i mean just fire. fire everywhere. everywhere. just blazing. steve: right. and pretty much completely destroyed. and now they -- they demolished it, the city did, and sent you a bill for how much? >> it's over 200,000.

we have so much destruction already along the coast that it's just going to add salt to a wound. really terrible. devastating situation for parts of southwest louisiana. let's take a look at it already getting wind gust news excess of 33 miles per hour for galveston, texas not only southwest louisiana, central louisiana but parts of southeastern texas well getting battered by heavy rain and winds and heavy strong high waves as well as storm surge in some areas just east of the center of circulation. 7 to 11-foot storm surge. this is going to be a dangerous situation, a life threatening situation for an area that is already devastated by several storms this season. there's the track. again, a major hurricane. we're expecting it to weaken as it comes on land. again, this is just about 40 miles away from the center of where laura came ashore. so if you can just imagine that all of these homes are already partially damaged, this could

actually just devastate this area even more than that so, storm surge, of course, potentially devastating for this area. life threatening storm surge, upwards of a foot of rainfall, hurricane force rains for a duration of hours and then it's going to quickly move across the mississippi and tennessee river valley this weekend bringing heavy rainfall and those winds but i can't stress this enough. already a bad situation but the fact that it's impacting an area already just so devastated from the last storm system. flash flooding is going to be imminent and then we can also see some tropical tornadoes. bottom line here, steve, anxiously and brian, just a terrible situation for all of these vulnerable areas were hit so hard just weeks ago. back to you. brian: thanks. do you know who knows those areas very well house minority whip steve scalise. congressman, each hurricane brings its own challenges. what else your greatest worry about w. this one? >> well, first, good morning. good to be back with you.

steve: they are already starting to feel the impact of hurricane delta. i can see the outer bands heading north. janice: yeah, absolutely. inundated with rain and rift currents and high waves and tropical-storm-force winds, storm surges up to 11 feet depending on where the circulation comes on shore. although it's going to weaken as it moves

across the coastline, it would hit areas that were hit so hard by category storm laura 6 weeks ago, so a lot of the homes are already damaged. this is just going to add salt to the wound unfortunately for all of the folks in louisiana. not only southwest louisiana but also into parts of southeast texas. there's the track, still strong major hurricane. we are expecting a landfall, impact later on this afternoon where the center comes on shore and then upwards of 4 to 10-inches, isolated amounts of over a foot of rainfall and it's just a dire situation because on any given year a hurricane of that magnitude would be a big problem but because it's coming on top of what we saw 6 weeks ago and some of the exact same areas, that's why i'm so concerned. so flood warnings are in effect not only that but we will see the risk for tornadoes that could cause more structural damage. that's going to be existing through this evening as the center moves north and east ward. moving fairly quickly

sure that fema has assets deployed on the ground, stay calm and listen to your governors and local instructions of your leaders there but the federal government is ready to assist. brian: let's move on and talk about the president last night on with sean hannity and mentioned, he did cough a couple of times i might be doing an event in florida and maybe pennsylvania after. what have you heard about that, what are the possibilities and being that you're in separate locations, what could you tell us that you noticed about the president's condition? kayleigh: the president, i was on the phone with him 3 to 4 times yesterday. he's hard at work and ready to go and wants to talk to the american people and wants to be out there, logistically if tomorrow is possible, it would be tough and it would be a decision for the campaign, we are trying to keep up with the president who is ready to go and ready to be out there as soon as he's okay from his doctors. steve: absolutely. his doctor did put out a statement yesterday that said that he would be clear for takeoff essentially and, you know, resume public

activities as early as tomorrow, but -- but what is the bar that the president has to pass a negative covid test, what happens? kayleigh: i spoke to dr. conley yesterday and that saturday he would be clear to go. i would leave that to him as to how that works medically but he assured me that there are medical tests underway that will ensure that when the president is back out there, he will be not be able to transmit the virus, so dr. conley will lay exactly how that looks out medically speaking but rest assure he will be in a good spot before he goes out there. steve: if the president takes a covid test and comes back positive, he can't go out yet, right? kayleigh: yeah, again i will leave it to dr. conley because he has the granular details of the testing and what medical bar needs to be met to make sure you're

not transmittible. they'll be a test in place and rest assure the test will show that it's not transmissible. he won't be out there if he can transmit the virus. ainsley: nancy pelosi doesn't think he's doing well, thinks the medicine is making him a little crazy and creating the commission to evaluate the president's mental and physical fitness using the 25th amendment, this is what she said. >> i think that the public needs to know the health condition of the president. there's one question that he refuses -- they refuse to answer, when -- before he got the virus and admitted to it, when was his last negative test? when was his last negative test to make a judgment about the actions that were taken after that? tomorrow by the way, tomorrow, come here tomorrow, we will be talking about the 25th amendment but not to take attention away from the subject we had now.
