getting any questions with bombshell report on that, should have been one of the questions with a bit of substance from our friends at abc but we didn't see that. on the other hand we see donald trump who was really debating on nbc, not sure who will win that race but donald trump to do a better job than he did in the first debate, he did condemn white supremacy which i appreciate from him as well, so we can move on on that front but it is problematic what we've seen on social media, twitter and facebook, with the mainstream media handy or trying to hand and election to joe biden, something that as a country whether you are democrat or republican we should all be concerned about. jillian: interesting to see the ratings from these two townhall's and see who was watching which one. let's talk about this, joe biden was asked about the crime bill.

>> and off a lot of people were jailed for minor drug crimes. was it a mistake to support it? >> he is it was. here's where the mistake came. the mistake came in terms of what states did locally. what we did federally, remember it was all about the same time for the same crime. jillian: a biden team member clarified what biden was talking about in regards to this, this week reads, quote, he was talking about the 86 crime bill that included mandatory minimums for drug offenses. the 94 crime bill did not which was what the vp was discussing. your reaction to that conversation. >> joe biden has flip-flopped on this issue more times than miami. this guy has had a position of it was great, the federal part of it wasn't all that bad so he

said that and other things. the interesting thing is the 94 crime bill had true consistency laws that incentivize the states to come out with their own legislation to knock up as many people as possible. we look at the fact that there is police brutality in our country, people have to understand the reason why is part of the reason why is the crime bill that was tough on crime mentality which i have nothing wrong with law and order but at the same time, the 86 crack laws which joe biden wrote, when you have a major disparity when it comes to treatment of individuals based on color you can't consider that anything but racist. people say institutional racism doesn't exist i point to the crime bill and say i think you are wrong. talking about these issues on my podcast, i wish people would

raising questions about hunter's dealings with china. about the remuneration packages that include payments for six people, one of them someone called the big guy, another from august of 2017, hunter seeking $10 million in a deal that would be interesting for me and my family. joe biden was not asked about this, donald trump hammered the news on the campaign trail in north carolina. >> joe biden has been blatantly lying about his involvement in his son's corrupt business dealings. joe biden is a corrupt politician and has been corrupt for many years and everybody in washington do it. >> reporter: hunter biden's attorney released a statement taking a shot at trump's confidant rudy giuliani who provided hardware for where these emails emanated saying, quote, we have no idea where this came from and cannot credit

anything rudy giuliani provided to the new york post but what i do know for certain is this meeting never happened. joe biden hasn't talked about this but top donors on the call, we have 19 days left and throw everything but the kitchen sink at me. at capitol hill, the senate homeland security committee ron johnson investigating this and 19 house republicans sent a letter yesterday to fbi director chris ray, why the american people didn't know about this but the new york post had it, there will be more coming. todd: hope you slept on that minivacation because you're not sleeping between now and november. jillian: still ahead, hunter biden emails are evidence of corruption. todd: former us attorney joins us live next.

had any knowledge of what his son was doing or any conversations but these emails are direct, not circumstantial. there was communication, there was access being sold and peddled by his son hunter biden. these are the things you present to a grand jury when you want to present an indictment. todd: a point i want to touch on, the lack of strong denial from joe biden or anyone in the biden family or on the campaign since these emails surfaced. what does that say? >> when the target of an investigation is confronted with evidence they don't think the government is aware of or is out there or public this is the reaction you get, you get a deer in the headlights, a pause, panic, responses that are not well thought through. this is what is happening in the biden camp. these emails do not just allege

that there was a one time instance, you have to combine it with text messages uncovered between hunter and his sister that seem to outline a long-standing, perhaps 30 plus years of corruption where hunter biden brings in money, conveys access or other privileges that would not be available without payment and funnels that money to his father. jillian: interesting to see what else comes out from this and where this goes from here. let's talk about this, senate republicans call on twitter and facebook, their bosses, to testify amid censorship claims. you saw the fallout of this on twitter. they say a subpoena is in the works was an update on twitter, changes after that feedback and this includes not removing hacked content shared by hackers or those acting in concert with them and they will provide

illuminate donald trump's tax cuts as the president lays out how lower taxes lead to more jobs was business and economics professor at kings college joins me to break it down. you heard biden. you are and economics professor. is any of it right? >> joe biden likes to talk about certain aspects of his plan. he likes to not talk about the critical aspect. he loves to mention the movie study. he doesn't mention moody's has been wrong in some big ways in the past including about donald trump's own economic record. enough to talk about the fact that he wants to raise taxes on the wealthy but he doesn't like to talk about what his tax hikes on corporations and businesses would mean for the average american and we never get honest discussion about that. george stephanopoulos started to ask about that last night but joe biden dodged the question and unlike savannah guthrie

george stephanopoulos didn't dig in on it. the result was voters continually left in the dark about what the tax increases on corporations mean for them. it is not about the rich when you talk about tax increases on businesses. the question is how that flows down to the average worker. most people say it will hit the average worker, pay will take a hit because the businesses they work for are paying more taxes. todd: keep it as unclear as you possibly can leading up to the election if you are biden, he is doing a good job keeping this unclear. donald trump says we will have a phenomenal third-quarter and phenomenal economy despite rising jobless claims. we will pop that on-screen. what is the real state of our economy as we approach election day? >> we need a second wind. we had an incredibly fast comeback over the past few months especially on jobs.

nobody saw the increase in jobs by the millions that we had over the previous four months up until september. september was a little lower but still a very strong number historically, incredibly high number. we are ready moment we need a second wind and the question is how we get that second wind. the answer is despite what you hear out of dc which is all about stimulus the only way you get a real second wind is if more of the economy opens up. the big head wins right now is the election. there are so many businesses thinking about 2021 and they don't know what is coming, regulations going up, taxes going up, hard to plan for the uncertainty around the election and we need to get back to work of opening up cities and states one by one. when you do that the job numbers accelerate again but that is an open question until we know who is in the white house. todd: the president could use a killer q3 to hang his hat when

savanna guthrie was really annoyed. i wanted to hear the president answer. interrupting your political opponent can be a tactic and i'm in the minority but i think it was effective for donald trump. interrupting as a moderator is totally different. what is the tactic? you are not the opponents, you're a moderator. people are tuning into the network to listen to the president to see his responses and listen to what he said. what a joke. what was that? it was like a machine gun like fire for the interruptions. this was really odd. talk about how these two candidates are treated. savanna guthrie hammers the president, interrupt him relentlessly, about a story no one can authenticate, the new standard for journalism, we can authenticate it, see his tax returns, there is 0 allegation of illegality whatsoever, you may not like the tax return story but no allegation he broke the law and yet nobody asks

. . jillian: we are back with dan bongino right now. dan, let's talk about this. fox news obtains emails related to hunter biden's alleged dealings with china. one day after other emails show alleged dealings with ukraine. dan, you know, there has been no strong denial from joe biden, from the biden campaign this week about all of these emails that have come out. there also weren't questions about this last night. what do you make of that? >> listen, this is serious. i was on with hannity last night. and i said something i'm very serious about. and i know it may troublesome people on the left and maybe some people on the right and that's okay. if these emails are, in fact, authenticated and you are accurate, they have not denied the authenticity of the emails. they haven't confirmed but they haven't denied them either, joe biden has to step out of this race. he has to. i mean, this is an unbelievable, an off the charts national

at the state and federal level. we have had congressional investigations. we have had adam schiff dedicated full time. are we going to dedicate those same assets now to former vice president biden? it's only fair. i'm not asking anything unusual or unprecedent and find out if there is illegality there. jillian: let's stay on the topic here for a second and talk about its impact on social media. twitter makes major policy changes following, you know, claims of censorship. you saw it happening on twitter, the fallout from it. and then they sent out this tweet saying what's changing? they are no longer going to remove hacked content unless those shared by hackers or acting in content with them. they will label tweets to provide context instead of blocking links from being shared on twitter. dan, any time we have these conversations about censorship it's getting worse and worse. are these changes going to fix anything? dan: let me disclose for the audience i am one of the oh, of
