"outnumbered" starts right now. to be wanted is 15 days away and counting to election day, the biden campaign is renewed criticism over its ties to big tech companies after his transitions team hired a top facebook executive and reportedly brought in our twitter executive. this as social media giants are facing backlash for blocking a new york post report on -- >> joe biden is and always has been a corrupt politician. he always has been. and as far as i'm concerned, the biden family is a criminal

facebook, his social media presence, he was speaking unfiltered and that's where the horde of trump supporter's mind. but i've got to tell you, what they are also seeing, what america is seeing is the hypocrisy under the double standard and the editing and filtering of donald trump and his ability to go out and self-message. and legitimate news organizations, the new york post, having their account days before an election shut down in a legitimate news story that ise report, i've got to tell you, i think congress is going to take action. i also think the ftc should take action. a lot of focus on the fcc but the ftc should go after twitter and facebook. they are misleading consumers. those people cannot actually see what you're putting out and that is deception and that is a

federal trade commission issue. >> harris: that is fascinating, a whole new lane of federalized on this for jason chaffetz. leslie marshall, how important is social media right now to either or both of these candidates bicycles before i would say hardly at all, harris. millions of people have already voted, really tight race, except for a small sliver of people who are undecided the country has made up their minds. twitter actually turned more attention to this article by banning it so i don't know if that helped or hurt anybody there. but there are people, even people i know who are trump supporter's, whether they are republicans or not they are trump supporter's and they say, a guy who is legally blind and had a laptop brought into his shops where swears it was hunter biden's, gives it to rudy giuliani, by the way, this is
9:04 am
not an issue voters care about, it's not in the top three, five, ten or even 20 of what is a concern among voters on both sides of the aisle. so i don't think this is going to do anything. >> harris: you know, kennedy, as you are hearing what leslie is saying, to follow the facts on our own and source the story and do all that, i was not aware that twitter or facebook or any of those social giants did those jobs internally, i didn't realize they had a brain room and an editorial meeting every day and who should kill which story. >> kennedy: yeah, i also don't like the propaganda line about how this is just a smear campaign therefore you should ignore all the facts. maybe it is a smear campaign, and maybe all of it is true and what is true could be incredibly problematic for the former vice president who has a great
9:05 am
shot at being our next president. and if hunter biden's laptop had been stolen, don't you think joe biden and hunter biden would be standing at the top of the empire state building screaming about the injustice end of the crime that had been committed against them? absolutely, if these emails were not altered by hunter biden, don't you think there would be vociferous denial about them from the campaign? they certainly would be. there are elements to the story that are weird which is why you need other journalists and other sources instead of trying to ignore it, trying to get to the bottom of that. that is incredibly critical because the things joe biden has been accused of in light of this are as bad, if not worse, than what president trump has been accused of and he was a sitting vice president, he was not a private citizen. >> katie: yeah, you know, there are big questions about vice president joe biden's
9:06 am
behavior because if he were to be the president of the united states there are some tough decisions he has to make when it comes to foreign adversaries, specifically china and when he has all these family ties allegedly taking money from the chinese communist party end and on the record statement repeatedly that china isn't a threat to the united states, that brings into the question where he would be in terms of making decisions about how to handle china in a future pandemic, in trade wars, militarily when they take over pieces of autonomous property and land like hong kong. those are big questions. leslie says this doesn't matter to the american voters. hillary clinton's corruption wasn't a top polling issue either and this is very similar in the sense of washington, d.c., politicians who've been in d.c. for decades selling out the family name, selling out taxpayers in order to gain access and take money from foreign governments and not
9:07 am
just any foreign governments but russia, the mayor of moscow's wife, there will be a special counsel investigation about that and the chinese communist party which has proven to be a threat to not just the united states in the world, so the bigger question of how joe biden would handle these issues as president considering his alleged behavior as vice president. >> harris: director of national intelligence john ratcliffe was speaking on whether hunter biden's alleged laptop is part of the russian disinformation campaign. here he is. >> it's funny that some of the people that complain the most about intelligence being politicized are the ones politicizing intelligence. let me be clear, the intelligence community doesn't believe that because there's no intelligence that supports that and we have shared no intelligence with any other member of congress that hunter biden's laptop is part of some russian disinformation campaign,
9:08 am
it's simply not true. >> harris: jason? >> jason: well, i believe john ratcliffe. i also wonder whether the department of justice, a lot of this, why in the world they are not doing anything? i think they need to answer senator johnson's question about the authenticity of that laptop and the contents but what speaks even bigger volumes is the lack of denial by the biden family as they are nowhere in saying this is not true, nor is there campaign denying that it is true and i remember, harris, they put donald trump jr. on the cover of ""time" magazine, it said "caugt red handed" for a 20 minute nothing meeting in this media with a senate report with actual emails, more evidence and we ever saw against the donald trump, because there was no evidence in the trump case and they don't say boo, they asked barely a question of donald trump and he loses control and can even ask answer
9:09 am
that question. it's infuriating, the lack of media, the lack of department of justice and the double standard, it is just driving people -- >> harris: you know what, if the panel will allow a quick follow-up for jason, you mentioned, where is the doj. you heard the president say these things need to be looked into, attorney general bill barr, where is he on this, do we know? >> jason: i don't know but according to the story and how this all went down, the department of justice has had this for some five months or so. it begs the question, did they do anything with it, do they interview anybody, do they look into it? if there are emails flying across the internet they can go find those in a heartbeat. i've got to tell you, for them to say nothing and do nothing is really wrong, it needs to be flushed out and attorney general barr and director wray should answer these questions immediately.
9:10 am
>> harris: leslie, does joe biden, now, put a lid on his campaign through thursday because that's the next debate, does he need to prepare himself for questions about this and what should some of the answers look like, does he take on the issue of the emails which you hear the panel say they are not taking an issue with that, what is the issue with joe to for joe biden and how does he handle it? >> leslie: there are a couple of things, harris, and first of all, absolutely. both vice president pence and senator kamala harris at the vp debate, i don't think both of them were very clear on the questions that i thought were pretty common sense were going to be thrown out. this is going to be asked of him, donald trump and his camp have already said even if the moderator doesn't put it out there they are going to find a way to put it out there and joe biden has to be prepared for that and joe biden has to dial down the emotion with this
9:11 am
because right frankly, the american people have a right to hear his answers on this but the american people also have a right to hear, if you research a bit more, the calendar of the former vice president on certain things that are said in emails, when you look at the remarks of people on his staff who have never heard of an individual mention on this email, it is in fact hunter biden's laptop, are these emails accurate? he needs to speak to that end he needs to answer the question because quite frankly whether it is a reporter or somebody in the trump campaign or trump himself, >> harris: when this came up in the first debate, he got upset over b beau biden so perhs

9:19 am
have had a very much calming effect, mark meadows understands the house and not just nancy pelosi but a lot of the other key players, he has a real calming effect there. i think what the republicans have asked for, just put out a clean bill, we can have a higher number but stop putting in all these superfluous things that have nothing to do with covid relief, absolutely nothing to do with that, give us a bill that gives money directly to the people and put the money in the wallets of people that need it by get rid of all these other things that nancy pelosi is asking for but that's been a heavy lift for the speaker thus far. >> harris: for those people waiting for che want a simple answer. if it passes in the next 24 hours when to check start to drop? >> jason: after election day. >> harris: after. there is no way to get this done before election day? katie? >> jason: i don't think nancy pelosi is going to let that happen. >> katie: yeah, there's ways to get it passed if it were to
9:20 am
be voted on and passed but there's not a way i don't think to get the money into it, physical checks to people anyway. i don't know if they are talking about direct deposit. the issue of nancy pelosi not meeting with president trump are speeding speaking with him for a year, lets her mother why she hasn't done that. president trump forced nancy pelosi to negotiate in front of the cameras and in front of the american people, to bring in the press corps and have these long streaming meetings with nancy pelosi and chuck schumer, he wanted everyone to see what they were talking about and what democrats and republicans wanted to do with taxpayer money, so she doesn't like negotiating in front of the cameras for everybody to see. another thing and jason chaffetz touch on this, the reason this has failed repeatedly is because nancy pelosi has repeatedly put in a number of bills like cash bail, banning of voter i.d. across the entire country, knowing that republicans wouldn't go for it and in terms of the costs here, i'm really
9:21 am
happy that republicans are willing to say, we are going to hold off on spending more taxpayer money when we still have a lot of stimulus package that we did earlier this year take give out because the money they are sending out is money that's paid by people that are already working, business owners trying to pay their employees and they are handing it out like it's some government bucket when this is hard-earned money from real people who are still running the economy so i think it's good republicans are trying to get the price tag down considering it's double what president obama's first initial stimulus package was. >> harris: how much did it play a role in the president said he was going to stop negotiations a couple weeks ago, did that put more pressure on democrats to get something done once he came back to the table? >> no, i don't think so. quite frankly, democrats and nancy pelosi have been very clear that there are two
9:22 am
sticking points. i would agree with katie and jason, don't faint, it happens rarely. and i would agree that it needs to be a clean bill about what the american people want, not just democrats, if they want the $600 in addition to their unemployment, in their states that want additional help from the federal government to do to the pandemic, those are two issues nancy pelosi is constantly said she will not back down on and those are two of the big issues that are sticking points between democrats and republicans. it's not just nancy pelosi saying she won't play, if you will, it's republicans as well and let's be honest, we are just weeks away from an election and neither side wants the other side to win but neither side should want the american people to lose and sadly even if they come to an agreement today we are not going to see that money until after the election so it's kind of too late already and i think this is not going to be

really do believe it is a radical idea. i listened to the clip from joe biden, he delayed when he's going to talk about it, he's going to wait until the vote happens on amy coney barrett. that's going to probably happen a week from now and i think if he's asked for the debate i think he's going to wait, he also owes this because in june he told us who would be on his list of supreme court nominees, he hasn't produced that yet, donald trump should be winning awards for openness and transparency, he told us exactly what is going to do and who we would appoint. >> harris: he owes specifically for this conversation to the far left because they could just sit home if they don't agree with what's going on. i don't know what their options would be. you may have seen reports of some g.o.p. senators trying to put some distance between themselves and president trump in the final days of the campaign. the rnc chair has a warning for any republican lawmakers
