coney barrett's swearing-in ceremony last night where she said she will do her job without any fear or fever and she will do so independently of both political branches and her own preferences. can you talk about the significance of this moment in her statement? >> this is a huge deal, something i've been working for for three decades, to get justices on the supreme court that look at the text of the constitution and the text of the laws congress is passing. for decades we had justices but look at the constitution as a living document that they are able to manipulate and make policy on from the bench and finally we have a court that is constitutionalist that will look at the constitution the way it is written not the way they want to pursue with their ideological bend on it and this is a big deal for america and a big deal for this president to be able to appoint 3 supreme court justices to the court.

people with partnerships, the foundation of small business. it takes time for tax cuts to work their way through the system and create jobs. look at the job growth during a 3 and a half years prior to the shutdowns they were strong and written by small business. i think small business is the way to prosperity. as we figure out small business growth if congress can get their act together, back to small businesses. todd: our resident dean, you get the been counting question. critics are going to say covid-19 response was expensive, still is expensive and we need to raise taxes to pay for it. >> you have to look at first cutting back on the spending. if we are going to increase taxes do it in a responsible way so you know the dollars that were going back to the

government are being used properly. right now the government is spending too much money on pet projects and special interests and i think that is what people have an issue with. our debt is ballooning which is not good news so until we get financial wherewithal in congress i don't see how congress can raise taxes and think this is a good thing that we are going to tax our way to prosperity. the way to prosperity is more jobs which increase the tax base. todd: a quick lightning round, looking at early voting, there are 60 plus million who voted already. a lot of undecided people in your community. 15 seconds to each of you. will the economy matter in the 7 days between now and election day in terms of changing the

vote? >> we have a clean inside and we are seeing the trump surge because people are focusing on the economy and when they do that they have more confidence in trump than they do mister biden. it will make a difference. the question is does trump get there? >> the economy is the number one issue. one thing the president has done is tied the stock market to the economy. many voters could look at the stock market, the gdp number will be very strong and i hope that resonates with undecided voters. >> the economy always matters and anything that happens in the last week that has an impact on people's perception of the economy. i don't know if anything will change but if there perception changes so does their vote. todd: the chicago bulls have nothing on you guys.

the aftermath of that? >> what is interesting is it wasn't just kenosha. the media didn't follow another story, in milwaukee, also riots. the national media didn't cover it, local media did and that is a big problem for democrats inside wisconsin because those suburbs didn't just do the commercial zones, riots went into the neighborhood, when kenosha have a lot of people said the suburban moms in the suburbs of milwaukee are watching, they did come to them, i think law and order is an underlying issue affecting suburban women in particular. they don't want these kind of riots, they know the damage it causes, they don't like that fear for their families and children so i think in wisconsin, same in pennsylvania they like law enforcement,

that he was going to end the oil industry last week in the debate. you know, you miss out on a very important point end of the election campaign when you do vote early. i suppose it was necessary because of the pandemic but it certainly probably has skewed the results of this race. i think it's very interesting that people have actually factored in the idea that joe biden was involved in his son hunter's shady business dealings that's even despite the censorship from facebook and twitter. jillian: we are being told that the "new york post" is still locked out of its twitter account i'm curious if you are surprised by that and also what you think this means for journalism going forward. >> we are in uncertain territory. unchartered territory. there will be on wednesday it will be, you know, two weeks

since we were locked out. and it seems extraordinary that, you know, the oldest newspaper in the country, one of the largest newspapers in the country would be locked out of its twitter account because what did we do wrong? i mean, we put up links to stories that have been shown day after day over and over to be correct about hunter biden's laptop there was nothing salacious or untoward about what we published. we published stories about the emails and the material, the evidence that was on that laptop. it really just staggers me that jack dorsey, the ceo of twitter would allow this situation to keep on going. i think it's much more embarrassing and damaging to twitter than it would be for "the new york post." we have other ways of getting our story out there. as long as our twitter account remains locked it's a reproach to twitter so their active
