having breakfast with friends. jillian: ashley strohmier on how major cities are bracing for expected unrest. todd: we start with griff jenkins, live in wilmington, delaware ahead of a jam packed final day of campaigning. griff, take it away. >> reporter: that's right, todd and jillian. good morning to you. the closing arguments, the final stretch is nearly 94 million americans have already voted. in pennsylvania, it's going to be a biden blitz today. he's going to have two stops in the pittsburgh area and will make one in ohio as well as the race tighten here. let me show you the real clear politics average in pension vein ya, joe biden is ahead by a little more than 4 points. he led by 7 just weeks ago. biden spent all day yesterday in philly making his case with his signature attack he's had from the beginning on the president over the coronavirus. watch. >> i'll never give up, nor will america. we'll never wave the flag of surrender. we're going to beat this virus. we're going to get it under

control. the truth is, to beat the virus, we've first got to beat donald trump. >> reporter: meanwhile, president trump who held five rallies yesterday in five states will continue his fre pace toda, hitting four battleground states with five rallies. the final rally will be in grand rapids, the same spot he ended in 2016. yesterday he was in michigan, a state he barely flipped by over 10,000 votes and he made the case that a red wave is coming. >> i'm not just running against joe biden. i'm running again the left wing mob. we're leading all over the place. we're supposed to be leading after the big -- the great red wave is going to come over the next little while. it's coming. it's building. it's going to be a wave like i think -- and this is far beyond the last one. >> reporter: finally, a couple notes from the trail over the weekend. the president in pennsylvania

picking up a rare endorsement from the pittsburgh post gazette. they haven't endorsed a republican since 1972. on the biden trail, yesterday he was wearing a university of delaware blue hens jacket, confused it for the philadelphia eagles, drawing a lot of ire from perhaps eagles fans. that didn't stop him from beating the cowboys last night in the nfl. todd, jillian. jillian: if that's a wrap-up, i've ever seen one. he confused the jacket. it was a blue hen. he said it was a philadelphia eagle. not the same. if you're trying to win pennsylvania, i don't know if that's your best move. we'll see. thanks. >> reporter: listen, fortunately, he's got lady gaga who will join biden in pittsburgh. maybe she will lift his spirits there. todd: she's a huge football fan from what i've been told. griff, thanks. jillian: texas is shaping up to be a potential battleground state. todd: casey siegel is live for

us in dallas as the state is setting early voting records ahead of tomorrow's election. >> reporter: good morning. a federal judge in houston will in fact decide later today whether to support a republican-led lawsuit that essentially says drive-through voting is unconstitutional and it would in essence throw out nearly 127 drive-through ballots that have already been cast in and around houston. mostly in democratic areas. over the weekend, the state supreme court denied the request so now it's before a federal judge. meantime, continued fallout over this incident on a texas highway on friday where you can see trump motorists you appear to surround a joe biden bus as it's driving down the roadway. two cars collided and the fbi is now yo investigating. >> the president saw it, took the video that someone had taken and tweeted it back out and said

i love texas. we've never had anything like this. at least we've never had a president who thinks it's a good thing. >> reporter: now, in response, the president tweeted in my opinion, these patriots did nothing wrong. instead, the fbi and justice should be investigating the terrorists, anarchists and agitators of antifa who run around burning down our democrat-run cities and hurting our people. meantime, record early voting numbers here in texas with more than 9.7 million ballots cast. that surpasses 2016's record of 8.9 million or so. the latest real clear politics average in normally ruby red texas does show president trump leading but by 1.2%. todd, jillian, back to you. todd: fascinating stuff. casey siegel live for us in texas. thanks. our next guest says president trump will comfortably win texas as he did in 2016. jillian: joining us now is

former california assembly man who left the state for texas, chuck devor. you just heard casey referencing these numbers. let's bring them up right now. just to get a closer look at these. shattering voting records in texas as you can see. so far, 2020 total early voting is more than total 2016 general election votes. that is incredible. the question is, as some on the left say, texas could go blue. do you think that that has any possibility of happening? >> i really don't. if you drill down and you look at the composition of this vote, texas doesn't have party registration. but it is possible through commercially available databases to kind of infer what sort of voter is turning out. and if you look at the end of early voting in 2016 and compare it to the end of early voting in 2020, republican leaning voters are actually 0.6 ahead right now

where they were four years ago. even with this massive new turnout. president trump won texas in 2016 over hillary clinton by 9 percentage points, as your reporter said the real clear politics average is only 1.2. but i think that we're actually headed for another big trump win in texas. and the reason why is you're going to have a massive turnout on election day. probably as many as 2 million texas voters. and those voters in texas as well as in most states across the country are going to skew very heavily toward president donald trump, probably about two to one. if that happens in texas, like i think it will, trump's going to win texas about as much as he did four years ago, about by 9 percentage points or almost a million votes, i think. todd: but chuck, along those lines, there are some people my grating to texas from -- my

migrating to texas from florida. are you worried that people moving from liberal states like california, like new jersey, like new york to your state are going to swing the vote in a way that you have not predicted? >> yeah, that's a great question. if the texas public policy foundation, we tested this question about 11 months ago. we asked people who moved to texas, you know, who they voted for in 2016, trump or clinton. and what we found was that people who moved to texas are more conservative than native texans. they are more likely to have voted for trump by about 5 percentage points ahead of natives. i think what you're seeing is a self-selecting process. in other words, if you're a small business owner in california and you don't like california's high taxes and heavy regulations, moving to texas is a pretty attractive

thing. and furthermore, those people who are moving to texas from places like california and illinois, they know that people like kamala harris are a threat to their prosperity. joe biden's going to be 78 years old in only two months. there's a good chance kamala harris is going to be president if he wins. todd: certainly something that we are watching. chuck, we of course are watching your state along with the other 49. thank you for your time. >> thank you. jillian: it is 10 minutes after the hour. the road to 270, so what are the most likely paths to get there. todd: jim mcloughlin predicts the president will take texas, ohio and iowa. he pinpoints other must-win states, next. ♪ this is our time

this election? trump campaign pollster jim mclaughlin joins us to explain what the numbers tell us one day out of. good morning. good to see you. thanks for being here. >> great to be here. good morning. jillian: good morning. we are breaking down some of these crucial states right now. if we go ahead and start off in ohio here, you know, ohio has sided with the winner of the presidency the last 14 elections. what do you see happening in ohio? >> the president's going to win ohio. i always tell folks follow the money, follow the candidates. neither campaign has really spent a lot of money there. as usual, the energizer bunny candidate, donald trump, he spent some time there but the biden campaign has barely been there. donald trump is going to win ohio. jillian: you say ohio is going to president trump. let's go to iowa. this is really interesting. this has taken a bit of a shift here and the latest poll, the des moines register media poll has the president up 7 points

here as you can see. the same poll also shows independents swinging towards president trump. this is what we've been talking about. you have to watch what independents are going to do. how crucial is that? >> oh, it's -- you know what? president trump, like great athletes get in a rhythm, great candidates and great campaigns get in a rhythm and right now the momentum is clearly on president trump's side. he's in a really thumb. that's why you see -- really rhythm. in ey iowa, the president is gog to win. jillian: florida, 29 up for grabs here. this one at this point is anyone's game. >> yes. i spoke to a campaign operative, brandon nielsen on the ground last night, late last night, and the democrats have not hit their early voting numbers. he was telling me that the democrats only have about a 70,000 vote advantage going into election day. and we know from our polling

about -- by about 20 points, the folks that are telling us they're going to vote on election day they're more republicans and also on paper there's more outstanding high propensity republican voters that are out there and there's multiple polls that show the president ahead in florida. he's going to win florida. biden's -- jillian: let's go to the keystone state right now because there are 20 electoral votes up for grabs in pennsylvania. does your gut tell you that this election comes down to pennsylvania and if so, who of do you think is going to take it? >> i think it's a hugely important state, pennsylvania. and remember, there wasn't one poll after august four years ago that showed president trump winning pennsylvania. now again, there's multiple polls that show he's winning there. i think the president's going to win it and if the president wins pennsylvania it makes joe biden's path almost impossible for the presidency. hugely important. jillian: this emerson poll has joe biden in the lead right now but it is close as you can see.

who jammed through a supreme court nominee, you know why, they're trying to destroy the affordable care act. todd: which candidate's plan is better for your family. joining me to break it down, healthcare expert seth denson. we know healthcare is complicated. we don't want to get too much in the weeds on this. let us know the key take-aways from each president's plans, starting with president trump? >> with president trump, he wants to build on what he's done so far, that is, put healthcare back in the hands of consumers. what the president has tried to do is expand things like pricing transparency, greater access to doctors and flexibility to pick your own plan, things like right to try, all these are components that are really consumer first. that's the focus of the trump plan. todd: all right. and now let's go to the biden plan. >> yeah, for joe biden what he's really focused on is the government's ability to manage this for you. this is you through expansion of the affordable care act,

increased subsidies to help you buy health insurance. interestingly enough, let's remember, the affordable care act was meant to rein in big insurance. most insurance companies have seen stock prices triple, sometimes quadruple. he wants to include a public option. biden's primarily focus is expansion of health insurance and access to health insurance plans. todd: if one is going to vote on the basis of healthcare, they are a one issue voter, which candidate do they choose? >> if your issue is around cost and the ability to make your own decision, you have to lean towards president trump. that's the plan he's trying to outline, giving you more control. if your opinion is i want uncle sam to take care of this for me and control it for me, then joe biden's your man. todd: do you believe that based upon the plan articulated by joe biden that he will have some panacea response to covid?

>> yeah, you know, i don't know. that's a hard one to explain. i really haven't seen an outlined plan from joe biden on covid. that's really what we need to try to see here. most of what he's talked about are things that the president's already outlined and that he's tried to do and an expansion of shutdowns certainly -- and again, according to the world health organization may not be the right way to go. todd: seth denson it is literally an issue that affects every person in our country and our world. obviously we're just focused on the u.s. we'll see what happens in this election. we appreciate your time as always. >> thanks, todd. jillian: still ahead, joe biden and barack obama appeal to black voters in michigan while the president tries to win them over. pastor darnell scott says the trump trainees streaming down the tracks, he joins us next. and how a trump supporter put partisan politics ahead to help out his biden backed neighbor.

is according to a fox news channel poll, you see president trump with 14% and while that is obviously much less than joe biden at 80, take a look at 2020 compared to 2016. on this next graphic you see that 14% much higher than the 8% president trump got in 2016. so will blacks for trump in swing states be the ultimate decider of this election? >> it will be a contributing factor to this election, to say the least. if 14% is the number that's being displayed, i actually believe it can be as much as another third higher, rather than 14%, it could probably be around 20, 22%, because people don't -- today's cancel culture and today's social climate, people just don't want to reveal who they're voting for, particularly the african-americans. if you see an african-american that doesn't want to reveal who he's voting for, more than

likely he's voting for president donald trump. in 2016 president trump under promised and overperformed with so many initiatives favorable to the black community. in joe's 47 years of service has a history of negative statements regarding the black community and the black community is aware of that. there's a number that's saying i'm voting for president trump, that's the best bet. i don't want to fight, i don't want to argue, i don't want to do any of that but when i get in the voting booth i'm going to vote for donald trump. jillian: let me ask you this. rappers lil wayne, ice cube, 50-cent, some of them saying they support the president, some saying they approve of his work in terms of having conversations with them in terms of how to better the black communities. my question is this, what makes this different an conversations like these different than, say, the celebrity support that we you saw in 2016 for hillary clinton that just didn't work? >> you know, in 2016, a

nightmare scenario was presented to the black community regarding the possibility of donald trump's election. but in the almost four years since then, it's been anything else but. and i've said it a number of times. we are going to see emotional reasons not to vote for him, he's going to send you back to africa, he hates you, don't vote for him. you see rapers like 50-cent and lil wayne and others of, this is a business decision, an intellectual business decision which says which candidate is more conducive for the way of life in america that i desire to live and they decided it's donald trump. they pushed past the false narrative of him being a race hater and him going to make conditions miserable for the black community if he's elected. they see it's been anything else but that so they made a business decision and they're influencing others to make the same type of decision and so many more that are not celebrities, just men

>> reporter: good morning. breaking miami-dade's midnight curfew by 45 minutes, president trump held his final florida campaign rally last night before election day. and the crowd, a big crowd, was exuberant and rauk us. >> don't tell anybody, but let me wait until a little bit after the election. ever seen that campaigns on the fact i will raise your taxes. this guy. >> we have a president who has given up. i'll never give up, nor will america, we'll never wave the flag of surrender. we're going to beat this virus. >> reporter: and the discovery over the weekend of this miami-dade mail room with mail that had been sitting in stacks and not delivered for a week with 48 ballots mingled in all that mail, has led the postal inspector to say they'll be popping into multiple postal facilities to make sure nothing like this is still happening anywhere else. the 48 ballots from that room, by the way, they were delivered. the valid ones. to the supervisor of elections office. the latest polling for florida among the 9 million people who voted early shows biden leading trump, 48.6% to 47.2%, an absolute toss-up. so whoever turns out tomorrow on tuesday that's going to be

critical for either candidate. and former president barack obama will also make one final, a third in the past two weeks, campaign stop in florida on behalf of biden. it will be down here in south florida. details still tbd. back to you. jillian: phil keating live for us. thank you. appreciate it. and with florida too close to call, concerns about potential problems are bringing back memories of bush versus gore 20 years ago. todd: can't believe that was 20 years. katherine harris, florida's secretary of state during the infamous recount joins us now. ms. harris, thanks so much for being here. point blank, what problems do you anticipate in this election? >> well, florida's purple, it's not a red or blue state. we'll always be close, it sort of guaranteeings political ad profits in the future. i don't anticipate those problems. we dramatically changed the laws after 2000, although we didn't have a political or constitutional crisis. we had a close election.

but we've already voted. we're smashing the records. typically it's about 33% and 50% have already voted. they've been counted. they've been tab lated. and the rest will be voting either by mail, absence he tea. they'll be collecting them or in person on tuesday. jillian: a number of states as we know are extremely close. let's pull up the graphics. to show florida, the presidential preference, the first poll is the new york times sienna poll which shows joe biden with the lead by a slim margin. the second one is an abc washington post poll which shows president trump in the lead by a slimmer margin. florida is going to come down to the wire. my question is, based off how close florida is and really -- what should did we learn back in 2000 that will helps us benefit from hopefully not having to do something like that again this time around? >> well, fortunately we'll

probably know the results by tuesday. secondly, we have provisional balloting. if anyone has a problem, we can actually get that reconciled. third, now all the overseas and military ballots get mailed out 45 days ahead of time which is much better than it was previously. overall nationally, voting laws are complicated and every single state is different. and i think that was a big issue in the florida election because when people were looking from all over the country, saying hey, this is the way we do it no, da is -- florida is doing it wrongly. every state has its own laws. most importantly, people need to understand they don't change the laws midstream. jillian: katherine harris, thank you very much for your insight. we appreciate you joining us. have a good day. >> thank you. todd: joe biden wants to rebuild the blue wall while the president aims to paint the upper midwest red. who has the edge? pete hegseth does, he's live in minnesota, having breakfast with

>> president trump is going to hold all of the sun belt states that he won previously. as you look to the upper midwest, joe biden has to stop president trump in four out of four states. pennsylvania, michigan, wisconsin, minnesota. if president trump wins just one of those, in three of the four he won last time, he will be reelected president. todd: the trump campaign crunching the numbers and they're prepared for a victory tomorrow night despite reports we may not know the winner for days or weeks. jillian: joining us now, trump campaign senior advisors cory cy lewandowski and -- thank you for being here. i'm curious from both of you, cory, i'll start with you. which state do you think this comes down to. >> i think what's really happening is the state of florida which has historically been the battleground state in

every presidential election and the person who has won florida in the last six elections is now off the map which means donald trump is going to win that by probably 2 or 2 and-a-half points, gives us the momentum as the east coast closes to win a big state like michigan or pennsylvania, i think both right now, our poll numbers indicate we have a 2 point advantage going into michigan as of last night. we feel very, very strong about that. jillian: so i heard florida as being the key state for you. david, what do you say? >> it's winning one of only -- only one of pennsylvania, michigan, or wisconsin or possibly even minnesota. i think we could clean sweep them. these pollsters, it's just so dishonest what they've done this year, just like they did in 2016. they're not capturing the hidden trump voter. we're going to see our people turn out in droves and our folks, the trump supporters, understand that this election is about their very way of life and

they're going to turn out to vote like they understand that and i think it's important that every american turn out to vote. todd: cory, you heard david allude to this. what is the trump campaign seeing that leaves someone like jason miller, campaign head honcho, to predict trump is going to get more than 290 electoral votes. we're not talking 271 or 272. we're talking more than 290. which would make this somewhat of a blowout the other way. >> well, it is going to be a blowout, to be very honest. it was a blowout four years ago. the media waited until after 3:00 in the morning to call the race. when you look at where we are in a battleground state like north carolina, our margin of votes is smaller as a delta from where we were four years ago, meaning we are down less to the democrats in the early voting than we were four years ago. that's a victory. we're going to win in arizona. we're going to win in all of the battleground states that jason

outlined. more importantly, we see this hidden trump voter. we saw almost 40,000 people turn out in georgia last night. maybe the largest political rally ever you assembled. then donald trump went on to do another rally in florida where he finished at almost 1:00 in the morning. you contrast that with joe biden who can't put 10 people in an old drive-in movie theater and the momentum is on donald trump's side. donald trump has had an enthusiasm gap by double digits over joe biden h for over a yea. that shows up on election day which means victory for donald trump. jillian: we have one day to go, david. what is the most important thing that needs to happen for the trump campaign today? >> not letting up. president trump is going to be making six stops today. six. cory and i will be with him, traveling today around the country. we're excited about the last day of campaigning. this president is the greatest game day player we've ever seen. he's the guy you want to have the ball to punch it in the end

zone. he's a finisher. what he's going to do is make sure that his people understand you can't let up. you have to keep going and every single vote counts. every single vote counts. so you must turn out. you must turn out for this president if you support president trump. you have to vote no matter where you are. todd: we know you all are traveling. let's get a little more inside baseball if we can. it's not that people don't see on caon -- suv that people don'e on their tv screens. what is happening right now in the trump campaign? >> we're looking at all the numbers coming in right you now. we're seeing where we have to make sure we're pushing our people out to vote and specific precincts, specific communities, specific battleground states. we're doing this in real-time all the time. we're understanding who has already voted and where our super votes are, what we call high propensity voters.

in the state of pennsylvania as an example, we still have over a million hard core supporters who are going to show up on election day and our job between now and the close of the polls tomorrow is to educate those people and to remind them that they must show up if they want to fight for the future of this great country. todd: cory, quick follow-up, cory or david can answer this. are you worried, though, that with that many people showing up on election day, that long lines, eight, 10 of, 12 hours, could deter them, 15 seconds. >> let me just dispel that. our people wait in lines for hours all day to go to a rally. they're turning out to vote. todd: good point. >> our people are turning out to vote. they're turning out. jillian: we've seen the video of those lines. it is unbelievable to see the lines down the block right now for the rallies. david and cory, thank you very much for joining us. i know it's a busy next 24 hours. we appreciate you spending a few minutes with us. >> thank you guys. >> thanks for having us.
