are you a fan of country music? >> trace: i am. it was fun to watch. >> sandra: "outnumbered" starts right now. >> ♪ >> harris: we begin with a fox news alert. georgia taking center stage in the 2020 election fight. the focus turns to the 2 unresolved senate races with run off elections coming in january. the stakes could not be higher not just for georgia but for the entire nation. it will determine which political party will control the senate in the next term. how aggressive a biden administration could be with this legislative agenda. republicans have 50 seats. they would neat an additional seat to take the majority. otherwise, it could be 50-50. the vice-president at the time would break the tie. senators tim scott and marco rubio among republicans blitzing
9:01 am
the state of georgia. senator rubio described how pivotal the races are for america. >> it's a rare situation. 2 senate races in 1 state. they will determine whether there are 52 republicans that can stand up against a radical leftist center socialist agenda or not. that's what is at stake. the people of georgia know it and we are ready to work for that. >> harris: democrats and their allies are urging liberal voters to move to georgia in order to help flip those senate seats. they better move fast. what the "new york times" columnist tom said. >> i hope everybody moves to georgia in the next month or two. registers to votes and votes for these two democratic senates. >> harris: and former candidate yang said he and his wife are

moving to georgia to help the democrat candidates win. you are watching "outnumbered." i am harris faulkner. here today town hall editor katie, attorney emily, and executive director of serve america, marie, and joining us today fox news analyst and host of one nation on fox nation lawrence jones. happy friday eve. >> indeed. >> harris: lawrence jones, i was born in georgia. i understand you have to have a little peach in your life. i get it. is that you you flip the senate? get your liberal friends to move down there or is it just a pipe dream? >> well, i think it was an absurd thing to say all of these people will move to georgia. i think analysts follow the bouncing ball instead of what
9:03 am
they are doing with behind-the-scenes. like stacy abrams who claimed the race was stolen for her. she started fair fight to fight for more people to be registered to vote and a legal strategy to challenge certain votes, i think she did a great job with it. that's the only reason georgia is in play. people don't listen to what is happening on the ground. i went to georgia half a dozen times over this election. i saw the shift on the ground. i warned people -- people say this is a solid red state. it feels different on the ground. when i talked to people also, it's different since the presidential race. people like the theory of divided government. they don't like the royal flush giving joe biden the ability to ram whatever legislation he wants in. there is some concern of rising
9:04 am
taxes. the fact that the allegation of potentially packing the court. as well as the green new deal in energy legislation that would hurt them. all of that is going to be in play. >> harris: when you say the threat of racing taxes, i think it's the inevitability. we will ask our democrat marie? >> joe biden will look at the taxes go up at the top and not for most americans and not the middle-class. democrats believe they can win statewide in georgia because they just did it. joe biden by all accounts will be the victor in georgia. he is ahead by quite a bit. these 2 democratic candidates
9:05 am
are impressive candidates that are running in the senate here. i don't think anyone needs to move to georgia. democrats feel pretty good about their chances. what will be interesting is whether the same trump voters who came out in large numbers for donald trump in this november election will come out in january for senate candidates which donald trump is not on the ballot. will trump campaign for the senate candidates on the republican side? we don't know. i expect to see barack obama campaign for the democrats. it will be very interesting what happens when trump is not on the ballot and when he may or may not throw his weight between these to republican candidates. a lot of things are at play. >> harris: you are talking about who should go down to georgia. watch what mark teason of the gop said about that. >> anyone who thinks that donald
9:06 am
trump can't come back and win it in 4 years, look how close the election was. an army of 72 million and the most loyal base in american history. if he wants the nomination in 2024, he can have it. he needs to leave on a victory. he needs to campaign in georgia for loeffler and perdue. >> harris: katie? >> well, a republican senate versus a democrat run senate would preserve president trump's legacy and continue it. the way the senate goes in georgia will determine what joe biden's presidency looks like in terms of judges, supreme court nominations and legislation. how extreme they can be. what kind of ambassadors he can get through. there are a host of questions about who biden would put up
9:07 am
depending on how far left they are. a democrat senate would push them through. if mitch mcconnell is in charge, there will be questions about people's records and how extreme they would be in their positions they were appointed for. >> harris: does the president need to go to georgia, katie? >> i think so, yes. >> harris: all right. emily, let's watch senator graham. you know the saying put your money where your mouth is. >> i will donate $1 million to senator loeffler and perdue to make sure they have the resources to combat a tsunami of liberal money about to sink georgia. i challenge every republican to direct every donation to georgia. >> harris: what would a tsunami of cash look like? >> i have only seen it in my dreams.
9:08 am
that was compelling from senator graham who participated in the most expensive senatorial campaign of all time. the note about the legality of this. there is no time requirement to establish residency in but it's a felony to vote if you are only a brief resident with the sole intention to vote in the election. the important part is how much you stay after that. all of those hollywood elite and celebrities who are tweeting their intent to do so, watch out. remember just last year when the state legislature passed a state law regarding abortions and sony and disney and abc and nbc threatened to pull out of the
9:09 am
film industry in georgia 2 years after it was ranked number 1 in feature film production. in 2016 the same thing happened with the religious liberty bill. if i were in georgia i would find if hard to stomach that all. people who play with my livelihood there are doing the same thing and using my home state as a stomping ground for their national self-serving agenda. >> and quickly here, one thing people have to realize. donald trump won't be on the ballot for this election. this is black hollywood. a lot of black entrepreneurs are there. they don't want high taxes. >> harris: tyler perry? >> exactly. a lot of the entertainment city
9:10 am
who have been focal live in atlanta. it's different when donald trump is on not on the ballot. some people would argue they want a divided government for the simple fact of the far left progressive policies of those candidates. >> harris: katie, in terms of strategy for republicans and what it should look like given what lawrence just said. >> it's simple. you have seen republicans making the argument that the republican senate would be the only thing standing in between the american dream and socialism. when you look at chuck schumer in brooklyn and a big crowd saying he will take georgia and change america. you look at the far left policy positions put on the table by senator harris in the past and a number of people still in the senate, that is something that they can make a case on. it's interesting to see senator loeffler and perdue campaigning
9:11 am
together to pull their resources together so they can have power in numbers and make those big messages in front of bigger crowds of people. the strategy is about saying we are the only thing left. in the republicans lose the senate, a democratic house, senate and white house. the far left policy position that joe biden claims he is trying to distance himself from will be harder to do. >> harris: the louisiana senator yesterday said it's a choice between freedom versus free stuff. his words. that boils down what you just said i think. marie, the comeback for that. you can't deny that the far left leaning people in your party -- senator sanders said he might look at labor as the secretary. >> well, we elected a moderate as president.
9:12 am
joe biden. when you look at warknock running against loeffler and the opponent running against perdue. they are not far left. they are moderate. the message the democrats are saying, congress has gotten nothing done the past 4 years. mitch mcconnell senate refused to pass a covid bill for months. if we get control of the senate, we will get things done and get a racial justice bill pass and covid relief and new voting right act pass. when you have joe manchin and others that are moderate democrats i don't think anyone should be worried that the senate will become a far left socialist rubber stamp for joe biden a moderate leader. >> but everybody put the responsibility on nancy pelosi. it's not even a partisan issue.
9:13 am
people in her own party criticized her. >> she passed it twice! mitch mcconnell refused to take it up. >> [overlapping talking]. >> she passed it twice. >> harris: we are pausing. we are pausing. could senator bernie sanders become a key player in a biden administration? i just mentioned the job sanders says he wants or is open to. senator elizabeth warren steps on pressure on biden to embrace a far left agenda. stay close. >> do i expect they will keep their word in maintaining and legislating on the proposals we agreed to? yes, i do. attention veteran homeowners: record low mortgage rates have dropped even lower.

>> harris: president-elect joe biden tapping long time aid to be his white house chief of staff. he deserved as biden's chief of staff when he was vice-president. this comes as senator bernie sanders the self-proclaimed democratic socialist confirms he is interested in becoming biden's labor secretary as the left steps up its push for sanders to have a top role. >> i want to do everything to protect the working families of this country who are under tremendous duress. whether that's in the senate or the biden administration, who knows? if i had a portfolio to fight for working families, would i do it? yes, i would. >> harris: another former 2020
9:19 am
rival of elizabeth warren floated as a potential treasure secretary as he urged biden to move forward with bold items including student loan debt. lawrence jones, bernie sanders wants to be the labor secretary in the united states of america. your thoughts? >> well, joe biden owes both senators. owes elizabeth warren for the primary. she didn't get out and hurt bernie sanders and owes bernie sanders for getting progressive voters to show up for joe biden in the election.
9:20 am
i don't think mitch mcconnell will allow this to go through a senate. joe biden is in a tough position. he campaigned as a moderate and said he would be a big progressive since fdr. if he does not please this crowd. the moment you are elected president, you start campaigning for reelection. he won't win them again. this may be a peace offering. i don't think mitch mcconnell will let it go through the senate. >> lawrence i call it being socialist. emily, a socialist in america was something we could not fathom. you are from seattle where they tested this out on the city council and maybe it reached a level of top positions in the u.s. government. >> it's interesting, katie. i am seeing a host of local signs throughout neighbors that they want to repeal the socialist city council member. these are homes that would never
9:21 am
put a trump sign in front. it's interesting how local politics feels freer to denounce the socialist tendency. i want to weigh in on the bernie sanders and elizabeth warren issue. they are lightning rods. were they to be nominated for cabinet positions, there is no way the republican back drop would let it go through. and the challenge here which would be that the republican vermont governor would be able to appoint a successor for senator bernie sanders before the special election. with the crucial balance of the senate in play that would not be biden. but that's what they are facing appeasing the far left. >> what does joe biden owe the progressive base for getting him over the top? >> there is a republican governor in massachusetts.
9:22 am
with the senate balance as close as it is, i would guess that you won't see senators plucked for administration jobs. it's a math game. i don't think joe biden feels he owes the progressive wing, something. we will see who ends up where. bernie sanders is probably staying in the senate for progressive causes. i think that democrats have a messaging challenge in front of them. the republican party did a good job in this election of making bernie sanders or elizabeth warren style policies seem scary like cuba and they are not. the democrats are grabbling to plain what the far left supports. they supports things a majority
9:23 am
of americans all support. that's one of the message challenges. as joe biden comes up with his cabinet. >> the far left. democrats are in a growing public ballots over the party's direction. one is slamming alexandria ocasio-cortez over the democratic's weakness in key races. jacob said old the "new york post": a spokesperson criticized moderate democrats who blamed the far left for the party's losses. harris, you have at far left of the party have the luxury of being in the deep blue
9:24 am
districts. when it comes to winning elections across the country, we have seen in the last election they had a hard time. >> harris: well, what we also saw was shooting inside the tent. i didn't witness it. somebody else did. that was a blue dog democrat in texas. i talked with him on the air on sunday. katie, he mentioned something interesting. he doesn't want others in his party telling him what is important when he runs in his state. he pointed to specifically defunding the police. he said there are many of us who don't appreciate that when others tell us we are not far left enough. i am giving you the gist of what he said. he said when you talk about oil and energy and getting out of it, that's a direct shot at the current president-elect. and the comment on defund police and the far left in the party. there problem is not they are underneath this tent together. but there might be a propensity
9:25 am
for them to shoot each other under it. and alexandria ocasio-cortez can't stop saying we will push joe biden. you cost us this and that. unless it's a water gun, don't fire inside that tent. all of these are proverbials but you know what i mean. >> yes, we have seen alexandria ocasio-cortez not just talking a big game, but primarying moderate democrats. there was talk she would primary chuck schumer. there is energy on that side of the party. >> a lot of energy in all parts of the party which is why joe biden won so many votes. >> it's true that some of the
9:26 am
process points that aoc raised about how democrats can reach voters where they are and not let the caricature that the republican party is useing to paint people like sandberger a moderate. how we can use tools online to fight that caricature from the republicans. i am glad my party is having this debate. >> in the process of fighting this, they are losing seats in the house. many people within their caucus warned them this is hurting them. the democrats got themselves in a pickle. at first they dismissed aoc. they pretented like it was just a fallacy. ask ingle what happened to him in new york.
9:27 am
there is a real yearning for debate of the idea if it's the far left or far right where we stand as americans. aoc is willing to have that fight. although i disagree with her as a libertarian, i am willing to have that fight. i think it's a necessary fight. >> emily, marie called it a caricature of democrats by republicans. democrats called for the defunding of police and not republicans. >> i agree. it underscores there is a civil war in the democratic party. it's rooted in veracity. the establishment democrats don't understand the progressive activists can't see another choice but to put ideology over
9:28 am
strategy. alexandria ocasio-cortez is saying you won't silence me and we won't bend. that is galvanizing her voter base and speaking to the energy you mentioned a moment ago. >> we will watch as they try to figure it out. some activist leaders are laying out expectations for president-elect biden after he ran largely on fighting systemic racism and driving police reform. how one leader of black lives matter plans on holding the in coming administration accountable. good morning, mr. sun. good morning, blair. movement's agenda. she said her organization was able to reach more than 60 million voters and in turn played a huge role in the outcome of the election. in a letter to biden and harris, she wrote we want something for our vote. without the resounding support of black people, we would be saddled with a different electoral outcome. black people won this election." police reform is at the forefront of the election and she intends to hold the biden administration accountable to fight police brutality. marie, we discussed what the far left democrats in your party would like to see for their participation in the current election. now the blm co founder want to exact payment with their policies. what will biden do?
9:34 am
>> well, there are a lot of people who will look to hold the biden/harris administration accountable. >> harris: what will that look like? >> we don't know yet. i think the biden/harris ticket were very clear about some of the things they wanted to do from the executive branch side to advance the racial justice cause in this count we. congress had a role to play in that. this is one of those big issues of this election. obviously covid and the economy, but the groundswell of support for racial justice. for the broader notion that black lives matter having the first female black vice-president in that office. these are important pieces of what activists will be looking to in the early months of a divided administration to see
9:35 am
their policies enacted, the policy they said they would do. >> harris: it was interesting to hear you say that we are not there in terms of certification and all of that with the voting. >> well, i didn't say. that i said we are not in office yet. i was not casting doubt on the outcome. >> harris: you did say yet. >> yes, but i was not counting doubt. >> harris: lawrence, in cities where the police and other leadership is predominantly not just democrat, left leaning, but people of color. we saw some of the most violent protesting in nose areas. chief best seattle's police chief a superstar african-american, it helps to have role models that look like you in terms of where they are placed. it doesn't always mean because you are tehe black person in ths

9:37 am
well. how do you reassess in those communities making sure that those businesses get the resources they need? he talks about raising taxes on those people as well. many people that are on the ground -- they have a big problem with black males as well. how are they going to incent vise those businesses and those their support back? you saying you will bring us out of this pot hole and saying i will tax you more, i don't think is a good policy proposal. it will encompass all of that. focus on the ground and not so much organizations. >> harris: katie, some of the conversations on this program have to deal with the real diversity color that matter. it's about economics and that color would be green. we talk about a divide between those with the green and those without the green.
9:38 am
>> yes, democrats are very focussed on identity politics. the results of this election showed president trump and republicans gaining in all of the groups whether it's latinos or black voters, more than democrats would like because they are heavily reliant on using identity politics to win elections. the woman who runs black lives matter the organization said she was a trained marxist. that's what she wants to bring into the biden white house. there is a reason why all of these law enforcement agencies and organizations endorsed president trump. under the obama and biden admrss the war on police started then. president trump tried to appoint someone to the civil rights division who failed in the senate.
9:39 am
if you want balance you should be concerned about, about the biden/harris administration. >> harris: a trained marxist. where do you get that training? >> it is based on black american voters are a mona lithe. she said there was 1 agenda and one voice and the black lives matter organization speaks for all black americans including the black men and women who voted for trump. >> harris: there is a difference between the movement and people who want change in their own neighborhood and the organizations which raises millions. they are an organization.
