>> that is his option for us that we as the american people have to either choose gun-control or more gun control which in his case is to sell our firearms to the government, they say buyback but never buy it in the first place or the other option is to register our firearms with the atf which is an unconstitutional regulatory body that shouldn't have that dictate in the first place. or we are seeing is an expansion of the national firearms act or we will see a gun tax which is estimated to be $34 billion, registering our firearms with the atf. >> something else down the pipeline could be universal background checks, kamala harris said she wanted to get that done if congress didn't pass that in the first 100 days of her in office she would seek executive action. how do you feel about background checks?

>> we absolutely abhor universal background checks. even background checks have been shown over the years not to be effective in what it claims to be preventing which is criminals are not going to go through the process, they are going to break the law. we want to empower law-abiding citizens, over 400 million guns out there. we have 5 million new gun owners this year alone. it is an obvious mandate the american people want to protect their own right to protect themselves and those they care about and not going to wait for the government to do so. jillian: it is interesting we are having this conversation now because gun sales have surged during the protests and right

before the election. what does it say about how the americans feel about gun ownership. it is increased to levels we've never seen before. >> not only that. the gallup poll showed since 2016 sentiment for gun rights have increased across the board whether you are democrat, republican, libertarian, have democrat family members looking for firearms but it comes down to life and death, something that is in the constitution for a reason, it is a god-given right given to us by our creator not by government and the government is only there to protect that right period. >> gun control is one of those things you passionately support or you are against. there are folks who say it is

alex azar says millions of doses could be coming within 24 hours from when they get the green light. joining us live, dr. nicole saphier, fantastic news. could there be any snags that might cause a setback? >> operation warp speed is going to shine, not only does it help with research and development but manufacturing and distribution and rapid distribution of everything. pfizer has indicated they will submit for that today and secretary azar and vice president mike pence said within 24 hours they are ready to ship the vaccine. whether they submit we don't know. they still have to have the final efficacy data and safety data and we don't know how long

it will take to review it. i imagine it won't be that long, some bidding pulmonary and interim data throughout the whole time but hopefully we will get it before thanksgiving, not sure that will happen but it is possible. we see some vaccines being distributed in the next week or two. moderna indicated they are close to being ready, in the next couple weeks we will likely have two separate vaccines. secretary azar said they are prepared 40 million doses by the end of 2020, that is incredible. >> pfizer and moderna, modernremdesivir does not need to be in the refrigerator. that a significant we can look forward to. once it is able to be distributed. let's talk about this, dr. nicole saphier. you have an op-ed out talking about thanksgiving, people have questions how they should handle

it. you heard people say you shouldn't travel for the holidays. i'm curious your tips for families and to distinction between traveling for the holidays, what you should do if you plan to be without travel. >> reporter: i was in the middle of writing the opinion piece when the cdc put out updated recommendations so you can look on the cdc website for their recommendations as well which are included in the op-ed. here is the thing. we all want to be to gather with family and friends on thanksgiving, that is the purpose of what the holidays are about. we also wants to keep people safe. it is not just keeping ourselves and our family safe but our communities safe by limiting the number of households that come together is the safest way to have your holiday. the safest way is to be with members of your own house land virtually connects with anybody else but consider having one other household, having multiple

households together is a risky situation. things you can do, you don't want to do that interstate travel. i know thanksgiving is the busiest travel time of the year but hopefully this your people are deciding to stay home. interstate travel continue the widespread transmission of this virus and kept us where we are right now. we have to stay in our hometowns and try not to transmit the virus elsewhere, so if you are going to have people in your house, moving outside is the best thing to do. if you have to be indoors, open windows, increase ventilation, physically distance as much as possible. the cdc recommends you consider wearing masks when you are not eating and if anyone vulnerable in your party you want to keep them protected, they should consider wearing a mask, everyone should distance them as much as possible. they don't need a big hug and a big kiss.

haven't seen evidence just yet. rudy giuliani talked a lot about dominion, they were hired as i - highly partisan companies, dominion is plainly a nonpartisan american company with no ties to venezuela or cuba, counted by county and state election officials. and diminutive not switch votes or engage in any election fraud. your reaction to that statement. >> we have well-founded concerns regarding the dominion machine. in michigan we know there were votes that were changed from trump to biden and back to trump.

those were, how the dominion voting machines are easy to be manipulated and changed, texas refused to use those machines because of those concerns about election security. we want to make sure every illegal vote is counted and any illegal votes not counted. that is the fight we are taking to each of these states, to make sure the outcome is true. >> a lot of people on the same page with the thought process that infini of these allegations are true everybody in the country needs to know about it but at this point those claims have not much hard evidence and so far have yet to be substantiated in court. that's why a lot of people are having a hard time with this because the legal team is running out of time when you look at states that have their election certification dates coming up and the fact that we

the legal team has that information and as they get into court they will argue these cases in front of a judge, that is when that information is more readily accessible and the discovery phase when they can bring in more, they don't have legal authority to pursue further into these states or counties or voting machines to see how this works out her things were counted in secret or how there were fourteenth amendment violations in a number of states and the legal team is pursuing that. >> still ahead and election official in michigan could delay certifying the state results. >> michigan state lawmakers joining us on the committee looking at the voting and counting process.

making this move then? >> because myself and the rest of the michigan republicans in the house and astronaut have done literally everything else. we tried working with the governor. we tried passing bills. we had to go to the supreme court and won in the michigan supreme court. we had half a million citizens file petition to return power back to the legislature in a way from unilateral the secretary of state refuses to certify those. at this point i'm out of options. >> governor whitmer doesn't have time for partisan politics for people who don't wear masks have a plan to fight this virus. wkeep us updated on your end if you. carley: there is a lot going on in michigan right now. have you two republican canvassers in the detroit area who called to certify the election results and then they rescinded that claim. there is a bit of confusion

regarding whether or not the election was officially rescinded do you have any information on that. >> i don't. i have been working in the committee on investigating allegations of wrongdoing in the election but we haven't had any part of that yet. jillian: let's take a listen to wayne county republicans on this. >> when we are at the meeting we get what's called an over and under report. instead we were giving it orally and had to record everything by hand. >> an audit comprehensive should be able to dig down and find the explanation of why the number of voters doesn't match the number of ballots cast. jillian: what is your biggest concern here for what is going on in michigan. >> personally my biggest concern is any appearance that anything is not above board i have no

evidence there is fraud but when they put board up over the windows and not allow people to monitor that gives the appearance of impropriety. i also don't appreciate there were people on the call, including a newly elected state representative doxxing one of the canvassers with children where they go to school and causally threatening them. i find that to be abhorrent behavior and unacceptable. we don't threaten people's children in this state. carley: no, you certainly don't. one of the reasons why these two republican canvassers wanted an audit of these election results is because the poll books didn't match with the number of registered voters. we have 10 seconds left. can you shed a quick insight on how that's possible? >> yeah. so somebody might have logged in and showed up at the polling location, said they wanted to vote and then just was like i'm done, i can't do it and then
