firefighters described this as a very chaotic scene, flames and smoke pouring out of that third story apartment. they also credit the residence of saving the lives of two young children. >> it was chaotic. everything happened so fast as i was entering the parking lot , i could see fire coming up on the building. immediately after that i seen smoke come across me and there was a lady that was screening. my first instinct was to get inside the house so i kicked the door in. i started yelling come out, come out. then i heard a scream for help. it was roxie. i was able to pick her up and get her out of there. it was tunnel vision. i didn't see anything but the fire and eventually the boy

was thrown out. rachel is her oldest and with being the oldest, she is the one the kids looked up to a lot. >> she could've brought shame and sin with her but she turned around went back after her daughter. god put both of those men in just the right position at just the right time. they immediately became family and they always will be.

klein showed bravery and leadership ensuring everyone was safely accounted for. captain john kline joined the national guard in 2011. >> i've never had a commander like him. our mission is to provide aviation support to support security forces. we are very good at knowing that if you take care of these guys, they will take care of the mission. >> john kline is my husband and he has been deployed overseas. this year has been very hectic. i was pregnant with our third child, super excited to welcome another baby boy. we knew he wasn't going to be home for that.

through canine partners for patriots, an organization allowing veterans and active duty military suffering from trauma to train their own service dog. here's a look at all the lives she's changed. [inaudible] >> before i came in i was on a handful of different medications, ptsd pain meds, this organization and mary has allowed me to accomplish a ton of goals that i never thought was even going to be possible. i came off all those medications, just by getting out and moving about my and training my dog, i was able to overcome those things. >> it saved my life, it saved my marriage, it saved my relationship with my children. i was actually the first veteran to enter this
