outright ban stories that were bad about joe biden, it was so partisan and this is in my opinion the biggest threat to our elections and our democracy. right before the election twitter was banning people posting links to a new york post story about hunter biden that was a relatively well researched story, was not factually incorrect, the new york post cited attacking policies, but twitter had no problem with users sharing reports from the new york times about trump's leaked tax returns. people are becoming aware of it, from twitter to other sites like parlor, a real problem when people don't have access to real information. griff: happy thanksgiving. todd: the ban on in person dining starts today in la but will the band do more harm than good? our next guest a restaurant

let's talk about this. the cdc is considering shortening the recommended 14 day quarantine time for people exposed to covid-19, from 7 to 10 days possibly. we can pull of this statement, quote, cdc is always reviewing guidance and recommendations in the light of new understandings of the virus that causes covid-19, will announce such changes when appropriate. is it appropriate to shorten the timeline of quarantine? >> this quarantine has to do with people that were exposed to somebody with the virus. not that they have the virus themselves. you came into contact in new jersey or new york you are supposed to 14 for 14 days, people are not doing that and the contact tracing by the public health officials is not working so what they are saying is if you were exposed, maybe tweet 7 days with a negative test, that is the caveat people
1:35 am
forget to realize this is what they are thinking about. if you were exposed or went to an area, you don't have symptoms, a test, if the test is negative you go back into the community. it is not official yet. the cdc changes their tune especially they don't have a consensus but this is what they are thinking about. griff: talking about the children. we thought that kids were handling this better but we've seen in the last two weeks the us total cases of kids from november 5th-nineteenth, a 2-week period, 28% increase in new cases. what is the cause of that? what do you make of this? >> one thing about kids and covid-19, the mortality is
1:36 am
extremely low and they do not tend to get sick, do not tend to have symptoms. saying that, that doesn't mean they don't get exposed to the virus like everybody else and the data is we are testing more kids than before because we have more kids available. if you look at the population mostly affected by children with covid-19 it is the minority population, african-americans, latinos, those communities and those kids can have positive results. it is important to follow the information especially because it is a vulnerable community, to have complications from covid-19, the cdc has to focus the efforts making sure minorities are dressed properly. griff: have a happy thanksgiving, thanks for joining us. i am going to go shopping now. it is wednesday.
