million documented cases of covid-19 in the united states, 15 million out of 67 million total in the world so i think we have to focus on getting our country vaccinated. we are the biggest hotspot in the world, that is what every country with our activity of covid-19 should be taking, not how to export a vaccine but how to get our people vaccinated so i agree with this executive order. shannon: the american medical association says prisoners should be prioritized in receiving this vaccine in six states, here is colorado's governor pushing back on that idea. >> no way prisoners are going to get in before members of the vulnerable population, people in nursing homes, veterans facilities, front-line workers, people who haven't committed any crimes. jillian: what is your reaction? do you think prisoners should be included in phase i?

>> know. i think prisoners are hugely important and should come right on the heels of what the governor was saying, the governor should stop talking about closing his restaurants, just a little plug about that and focus on the vaccine issue. here's the thing about prisoners. over 220,000 prisoners have gotten covid-19. they get it 5 times more likely than the non-prison population. it spreads like wildfire in prisons and the death rate is one third and you know what else happens in prisons? it spreads to prison guards and out into the community. it is hugely important population to get vaccinated. i would start with healthcare workers and put prisons right after that. todd: we appreciate your time on this historic morning. >> a minnesota christmas light display being shame for harmful
