to the proposed timeline, dr. nicole saphier, the big meeting happens today. what do you think will happen? >> they will debate whether they believe the data shows the pfizer vaccine -- has a proven it is safe and the efficacy, the fda gives insight this week showing their systemic review shows the vaccine is great, they should give full approval by the end of the day which means the fda will convene, put forward their official recommendation by this weekend and the vaccine will be shipped out by the end of the weekend, early monday and people will be vaccinated early next week the same timeline as canada. the canadians will not be vaccinating until next week as well.

todd: let's drill down a little bit, 50 million by january, as a doctor how frustrating is it to you to know that if we had moved a little faster, more like the uk and gotten the vaccine this week we could have hit the second wave a little harder and looks like we are going to. >> first of all we are lightning speed. no one would have expected a successful vaccine with 90% efficacy in ten months by 2020. i was a doubter. what happened in the uk? two people who received the vaccine had anaphylaxis reactions, those are life-threatening. this was in the hospital setting and they carried epipens with them. if you review the pfizer vaccine trial, those with a history of severe allergies were excluded from the trials. i wouldn't think i would give someone with a known history of

severe allergic reactions a round of the vaccine because they were excluded from the trial. we don't have information that it is safe. the fda scrutinizes the data. could they have met sooner? possibly but not like they have been sitting around doing nothing. they are reviewing the safety data and i have every trust in the process that the fda will do what they can to keep us safe. carley: what those allergic reactions affect the approval here? >> absolutely not. it is hard to determine. allergic reactions to medication are not uncommon. it can be seen from 3% to 10%, whether they are true allergic reactions are another story. trial participants, the pfizer vaccine, 40,000 people in the trial. if you have a one in 1 million risk you might not be in the 40,000.

people with known severe allergies, they have to be careful because there can be some stabilizing agents in the vaccines so they have to scrutinize if they can take certain things because there are known ingredient that can cause any magic reaction that severe allergic reaction participants, they weren't excluded from the trial so having them be in the first round to receive the vaccine i wouldn't have done that. the fda process will tell us not to do it. carley: such great news that folks in the uk got the vaccine and just two people had a serious allergic reaction to it and that will make other people nervous and questions like if you have allergic reactions your self should you take the vaccine?

>> the media coverage will put more fear into people. bottom line there will always be allergic reactions to everything being taken. i personally believe people with a known severe allergy, not people who say sometimes i get a little itchy or my stomach is upset, those are not necessarily allergic reactions, but carrying those epipens around, talk to your physicians before you take any new medication including a vaccine. carley: thanks for answering our questions, we appreciate it. arkansas and 16 other states join texas and the president in a supreme court challenge of the 2020 election results. todd: leslie says this is about safeguarding liberty next.

court needs to be the one to decide whether or not this case should be taken up. those states have to respond today. yesterday we announced that we were joining with the state of missouri in an amicus brief joining the state of texas. what we can't have for states illegal votes to be cast in states and essentially diluting the votes of our own states. the votes of are a cans sans should not be diluted because of illegal votes in other states. carley: this has more support than could have imagined 17 other states. decide you had not to take up the case in pennsylvania also about mail-in votes. does that present a challenge with texas case? >> because the state of texas is suing other states that's called original jurisdiction. the supreme court has original jurisdiction when a state is pitted against another state here in the state of texas sued those states and the 17 states

are supporting that whether it's louisiana, missouri, alabama. all of us believe that the votes in our own states have been diluted. article 2 states that the legislature should be the one to set the elections, unfortunately in these states that did not happen and that's why the state of texas has asked the supreme court to take this case up. todd: you just helped everyone get one out of 300 multiple choice questions right on the bar exam. so thank you for that quickly on this last top pick go you see this affecting changing elections going forward. let's face it 2020 hasn't been a banter year for electoral integrity. >> it has not been a banner year at all. it is pair mounted to the success of the united states. americans particularly my state of arkansas wants to know that every legal vote is counted. when your vote is cast that it's counted. what we don't want to see happen is that it is diluted that's why it's important that the u.s.

supreme court take this up and decide this issue. if they don't decide it in 2020, they will eventually have to decide it. let's go ahead and put all of 2020 in the hindsight. carley: when do you think you will hear back from the supreme court. >> we are hopeful over the next day or two. time is of the essence in this lawsuit and in this election. and so, therefore, i know the state of texas, ken paxton the attorney general there is anxious. all of us are. we believe that once the supreme court hears from those defendant states today that hopefully they will take this up and move forward with this lawsuit and perhaps others should they be joining. todd: meanwhile in the time we have remaining, attorney generals file lawsuit instagram. they want to break up facebook so that facebook doesn't own instagram and what's app. anymore. who is going to win this battle. >> this is antitrust lawsuit against a behemoth in facebook. some people use facebook to connect with friends and family.
