people back to work and getting the economy up and running so i agree with him on the wasteful spending piece in the other piece is the amount of money we are sending checks to people, people who had their jobs taken away and businesses taken away that $600 payment seemed awfully small. what difference is that going to make? he's going for an amount of money that if it was $8,000 for a family of four which is what he is calling for that is meaningful. you can make mortgage payments or rent payments or sustain life for a couple months on that amount. i see why he is calling for more but the first thing he said is cut the waste. a lot of people forgetting that but that was the preamble to his message about more money from the federal government and checks to people. todd: let's put the economics agree to some good use. from an economic perspective does the bill's nontargeted approach and money going outside the country help stimulate the economy in a way lawmakers hoped to do?
