11:02 pm
with you, because we've got a fascinating dynamic with biden being very active, naming lots of people, really making a move to make it seem as though this is already the administration that is in action. what you think of the fact that he is not willing to talk about the attorney general. even andrew cuomo is being discussed as being in the running. that was he doing at? >> i think for a numberr of reasons, but the most important reason being inside hunter biden. that there is already a federal investigation into hunter biden. and remember, media president-elect biden, president-elect biden has been staying up for some time. look at my everything you are hearing about my son, the laptop come all of this -- it's just nothing but russian

disinformation. well, tammy, just a mere fact that he is saying we all know is true, that there is actual evidence that they are investigating him based on u.s. treasuries suspicious activityty reports, millions of dollars, possibly 10% in equity. just the fact that he is dismissing this as russian disinformation extending a message to whoever he nominates for the department of justice. that said in a message saying don't investigate my son. this is actually a conflict of interest. >> it's interesting, lara, normally why would you hesitate, right? even hesitating indicates that there is, for some h reason, isa special dynamic. now we know that bill barr's last day is attorney general was today. and from what i have seen come seen, apparently like elvis, he has artie left building. so we know that he declined to appoint a special counsel to investigate hunter biden say and
11:04 pm
it wasn't necessary, but sources are telling fox news that they are still ongoing discussions and some high-level officials feeling that it is warranted. so lara, what do you think of -- why was bill barr, knowing he's going out, make aa statement tht is that definitive and that we have a contradiction here? what he think is going on? speak out to me, for me the devil is always in the details. because if you actually look at the book bill barr says, he was very specific. there is no reason, he saw no need to appoint a special counsel to investigate hunter biden's tax affairs. so that doesn't cover anything else that's on the laptop, but i can tell you from what i've seen of what is on the laptop, but i've been able to confirm through other sources, goes way beyond tax investigation. that is perhaps one of the reasons that therenv are people still having these conversations within the justice department. the other part of it is that
11:05 pm
bill barr inexplicably sat on the hunter biden laptop and all the information that was contained in that. during an impeachment trial, the president of the united states was dragged through an impeachment that was essentially a farce. but it was not just a farce, it was designed to cover up crimes that had been committed. not by president trump, but by the biden family. and hunter biden's extensive dealings in ukraine.n those go way beyond just hunter biden. so that is really, for me, the most critical thing as a journalist. when i look at this what i think, but i know because i hear it from so many americans all over this country, literally every single day, is how can use taxpayer money, how can you drag a sitting president to a impeachment trial when you are sitting on evidence that exposes the criminal nature, the political nature, and the fraudulent t trial?f that
11:06 pm
which is really the heart of everything. >> tammy: this goes do -- darrell -- thank you laura, it comes to what they do and do not do with journalists. the kind of questions that should be asked. darrell, ed also speaks to an another issue that makes americans question the legitimacy of government, whether or not they can trust it. give congress doing t all this other kindov of stuff now with e covid bill. shenanigans are all over the place. but the seriousness of law enforcement, of several law enforcement come of it being his politically. we've got a source now close. fox's book into a source close to hunter biden. he is indicating that biden is still off-loading chinese investments. less than one month before his father supposed to be sworn in. what is a reaction to news like that? and to this entire circus atmosphere at this stage.
11:07 pm
>> it is clear that the president-elect is trying to delay the very question of who will be his attorney general because of those conflicts of interest, because of the calls for recusal of that attorney general in all likelihood immediately ending the appointment for a special prosecutor. you know, the left demanded the recusal of the attorney general and an appointment of the special prosecutor on the fake t investigation. the false accusations against president trump. he was cleared of it, but only three years into his presidency. very clearly they are trying to avoid that. one thing we can be sure of is that president-elect biden is looking for a another person --y >> tammy: another winged man? >> another wing man who would put politics ahead performing the system. he's going back into an department of justice that during all the years of trump we were never able to get an honest, square deal for the american people.p

11:09 pm
