happened next changed lives forever. ♪ >> throw the baby down! >> firefighters described this as a very chaotic scene, flames and smoke pouring out of the third story apartment. credit the residence for saving the lives of two young children. >> it was chaotic, everything happened so fast. >> in the parking lot, i could see fire coming through the building. >> immediately after that, i saw a burst of smoke. there was a lady that was screaming that there was kids in there. my first instinct was to get inside the house, so i kicked the door in. i started yelling, "come out, come out," to get the attention of anyone inside the apartment. roxie, i was able to pick her up and get her out of there. >> it was literally tunnel vision. ii did not see anything but the balcony, the fire, and eventually, the boy who got

thrown out. >> throw the baby down! ♪ >> rachel is our oldest, and being the oldest, she was the one that the kids looked up to a lot. >> she brought jamison to the balcony, she could have jumped with him. this young woman was on fire, and she turned around and went back in after her daughter. god put both of those men in just the right position, at just the right time. they immediately became family, and they always will be. ♪
