cases particularly fox & friends but the reality is this , is that there is a concerted effort to takeaway what's made america great. they're trying to replace the republic process, the democrat process with mob rule mentality and that's what you really see from this squad group over and over again and if this new congress person is coming in in the same vein as a oc, i don't think that's good for america, i don't think that's good for healing the country and i certainly don't think it's good for moving us out of this pandemic that we see. what we know is this , is that the reality is, the greater the freedom the greater the wealth and socialism has never created wealth and that's certainly what this group has been about and that's what this new congress person is about as well. will: t. w., corey bush is being hailed as the first day in-day out activist, protester, day-to-day protester involved with black lives matter to be elected to congress. this conversation has been had over the last several months. whether or not black lives matter is a political movement with a political platform and a political voice. we know the answer to that is
6:19 am
yes because it takes just a little bit of research so enlighten us what do you expect corey bush to be fighting for and what kind of platform, what kind of ideas in congress? >> well if you look at the black lives matter website one of the things we know is that it is a group that is dismantling the black family which scares me as an african americans male leading a family what we know is if you're going to create a strong community, a strong state , a strong nation, it starts with strong families, and that's one of the reasons that i think black lives matter hasn't resonated with the general public. we in america still recognize the importance of family values, the importance of maintaining a strong family, and if this new congress person is coming in with those same type of radical ideas, to dismantle the black family, it's scary and the challenge, we know that this is something that joe biden and kamala harris also supports. you look at joe biden's record with locking up african americans, with the 1990s crime bill, this fits right in line
6:20 am
with that radical socialist agenda that i think the squad has been promoting, which is really not just to dismantle the black family. it's to dismantle traditional families and to dismantle america. something that i think the rest of the world would strongly oppose. the world needs a strong america and it starts with strong families and that's certainly nothing that black lives matter and i don't expect this congress person to be about that as well. we are not a country that's ruled by the rule of man. we're ruled by the rule of law. that's what we're governed by and unfortunately i don't think black lives matter activists have recognized that as demonstrated with the protests that you seen around the country, so it'll be interesting to see. i'm always willing to give somebody a chance to see what their voting record has been but if we're going to compare the agenda of the squad, let's talk about what successes have they had? we know that nancy pelosi can't control this group. they are completely controlling to democrats. they've hijacked the party this is not your grand father's democrat party so we'll see what happens. pete: absolutely, t. w., none of what you just said, can be found in the glowing piece in the

and they have a lot of things with the atf national response team, the fbi evidence recovery teams, of managing both witness statements and as the evidence speaks and they absolutely have to be committed to allowing the evidence to speak, and not speculate, at this point, on motive that allows the information coming into start a frame work as to the possibilities. secondly, of course, they still have remaining public safety concerns. they need to derive anything that would indicate there are other potential devices or potential suspects and then they have the fact of there may be other human remains to recover on the site. pete: bernard when you say "let the evidence speak" that's an interesting phrase, i get what it means. what is the most important piece of evidence they be looking for right now? >> there's going to be many direct things, so you have a component of the actual, the bomb investigators that will go into the check call analysis, they will do a number of recovery. as that team is working on it's
6:27 am
going to be speaking to the incident command and incident command is also getting all of the direct input from evidence that's coming from witness interviews, from video, all of the outlying inputs are coming in, and so ideally you have either a team or an individual that really thinks in the abstract, in much like a homicide investigation, it's an after the fact event, so as the evidence is coming in, it's starting to build a frame work of possibilities here. in conjunction with that is the public safety role here, to just see if there's anything that's speaking to the fact that there may be other things and then on top of all of that i guarantee you the investigators are doing the cyber search on this for every possibility, monitoring social media for comments, beyond that, and all these things have to come into a central source, so these teams can develop theory in terms of motive intent, and any current remaining threat. pete: bernard, you know, i know in your profession, you live in the world of evidence.
6:28 am
this is morning television, sometimes we speculate. go as far as you want, but what based on what you're looking at right now, professionally, what is it leading you toward as you observe it of what this might be about? >> well there's some things that are obvious just based on what's available to the public. you have a large vehicle-borne improvised explosive device placed in a metropolitan area. in terms of the strange broadcasting from this rv, the fact that law enforcement was able to arrive on scene and begin an evacuation, and then of course the things about the detonation time and all of that. i would stress again, it is absolutely important for the investigators to be motive-agnostic at this point and let the information speak. i would guess that right now, investigators are starting to develop some pretty solid ideas of what's happening here, and, you know, even, say for example, if it was an event where the person responsible was emoli
6:29 am
ated in this blast they are still going out to the public for more information because it's very hard to do something like this in a singular event and it's very hard to do this as an individual without making some connection. you have to buy supplies, you have to communicate and so a lot coming in. i will not speculate on this other than the fact that it is absolutely unique with the fact that there was the broadcasting of evacuation, i don't recall that in any previous historical events. the blast themself, although extensive damage, obviously that rv could have been a massive vehicle-born improvised explosive device that really could have done significantly more damage but then also, it's important to remember the complexity of this thing. there is evidence and things that are going to be a tremendous amount of distance from where the actual blast is so that's why you would have seen yesterday investigators on

" while the president decides whether or not to sign the measure as is members of the democratic squad and congress announced their own way they want to distribute an emergency $2,000 fund to families as soon as possible. they want to get it out there. this is coming from congresswoman permilla jiapole, democrat from washington state and must be putting money directly in people's pockets so they can put food on the table, keep the heat on and pay their bills and withstand this pandemic. our legislation for $2,000 survival checks will make it happen at a moment when it matters most. now, this comes just a few days

before house speaker nancy pelosi on monday will call a formal vote to get it on the record with republicans and democrats to vote for those $2,000 direct payments , both many democrats and president trump right now, is adimate about. back to you. will: david thank you so much. with the clock ticking down as you mentioned, for a relief bill to be passed by congress, let's check in with a member of congress, it's ken buck of colorado. he's also a member of the house judiciary committee and a member of the house foreign affairs committee. congressman thanks so much for being with us. you heard there from david spunt that nancy pelosi is putting it to a vote increasing the checks from $600 to $2,000. how will you vote on that potential bill? >> i absolutely am in favor of giving the american people $2,000 and it's the right move and the president is absolutely right but that's only part of what the president is suggesting nancy pelosi gave the members of the house just a few hours to read 6,000 pages of legislation. she did that because she had
6:37 am
stuffed this bill full of pork. we are funding a covid relief bill. we are funding two new museums to women's history. we are funding social engineering programs in pakistan we are funding a panel to examine a succession of the dalai lama, all sorts of pork projects in this bill. what the president is saying is make america first. bring america, make america the priority, so stop funding foreign projects in a covid relief bill, knock that out, and take that money and use it to fund and give the american people a $2,000 check. if nancy pelosi does that, i think she'll get overwhelming republican support and she'll certainly have my support but just to add a $2,000 payment instead of a $600 payment to the pork that's in the bill is just unacceptable. rachel: but is she going to do that, representative buck? is she going to take the pork out of there and all of the programs that she loves? i guess i'm curious is that what the bill is going to look like?
6:38 am
>> well once again, she gave us 6,000 pages in a few hours to read it. i'm sure we won't have a chance to read this bill before we vote on it and the democrats will vote for it. the republicans want to see the bill. if she strips the pork, if she stops giving her pet projects in the united states and overseas this money, she will get republican support but it takes more than just an hour of debate to understand the bill like this and to fully examine it, so i would hope that she would start sending this bill out and letting people know that all these terrible projects are being stripped from the bill and that the american people are going to benefit. this is just a play that nancy pelosi and chuck schumer are making to try to win votes in georgia. let's just be, you know, upfront about that, and it's a very cynical play because it deals with something that's very important to the american people pete: we know that's what they do. they did the same thing before election day. congressman is there a way to separate the two bills, the $900 billion for covid relief from the $1.4 trillion
6:39 am
omnibus bill which much of this is contained in, and the urgency created for covid gives an opportunity for all the pork as you're talking about is there a way to just do covid as republicans have talked about for months, and even higher numbers than $600, and then debate the rest of that stuff later, or at least get a chance to cut it out? >> it's a great point, because nancy pelosi actually had brought other kinds of pork to stop this bill from being passed before the election. she wanted to help fund the fail ing pension systems in california and new york, new jersey, and other blue states. she wanted to make sure that the president didn't get a win before the election by sending out a check to the american people, so she has stalled for months to make sure this bill didn't pass, and now, on the eve of this bill passing, she is going to refuse to take out the pork that's necessary to fund an additional payment that the president was asking for

for the american people. will: congressman just a point of clarification i want to move on to ask you about the coronavirus vaccine but just as a point of clarification it sounds like when you're answering rachel and pete's questions, your support for the $2,000 increase is tied to reducing the pork in the government spending bill. if that's not accomplished if nancy pelosi won't take that out , i'm reading between the lines then you will not vote for an increase in the covid relief checks? >> i will not vote for an increase in the covid relief checks that places a huge burden on our grandchildren to payback the national debt, the $30 trillion of national debt that we have already accumulated, absolutely not. will: all right, thank you for clarifying where you'll vote on those bills. possibly looked like they are coming in the next couple days to congress. let's ask you about this really quickly. we know several members of congress like alexandria ocasio-cortez have already gotten their covid vaccines, i'd love to ask where you stand on that first let's take a look at members of congress where they've been on getting the vaccine. >> the covid vaccine became
6:41 am
available to members of congress last night and we are urged to take it. that's it. will: there you have it. she took the vaccine. members of congress were put toward the front of the line. where are you, congressman. will you be getting the vaccine, have you already? >> i have not gotten the vaccine and i will not jump the line. there are healthcare workers in america who need this vaccine desperately. there are seniors and those with pre-existing conditions that need this vaccine. i am a healthy, young, 61- year-old man. i am not going to take this vaccine until those who are at risk take the vaccine and then i will evaluate whether i'll take the vaccine or not at that point but i think it's a big mistake for 30-somethings that are members of congress to assert their eliteist position and take this vaccine rather than giving those who are desperately in need of the vaccine, the vaccine is very similar to the discussion we just had about the pork taking
6:42 am
the pork out of the bill so that americans can get that $2,000 relief. rachel: right, well congressman, we know that there are a lot of elderly people who are suffering and dying of loneliness in nursing homes and really should receive that vaccine before healthy americans, so and young americans so thank you for joining us, and merry christmas to you. pete: thank you, sir. merry christmas. rachel: all right we're just two senate seats stand when republicans regaining control of the senate and democrats taking full control of congress, so what does the path to victory look like for republicans? well one rnc advisor breaks down their strategy, next. trelegy for copd.
